This morning Granny and I had a plan to tackle the 4 caches along this beach area, one of which was a first to find multi cache. We were here yesterday but the huge rain down pours in the late afternoon turned us away. So we returned here today to tackle these caches. It was still overcast and ready to rain at any moment but we were determined today to get these caches. After those caches and because we were chasing certain types of attributes we saw this one and drove down to collect. I was very amused by this one and have seen ones like this as well. We signed the log and then played with the mirror on the pole, lol. Thanks for the cache and the hide. If you are seeing this please check out, GCARTY0, see what is planned for October 2025. There is an importance in placing will attends to events. Thanks for supporting geocaching in Australia. ITS A PARTY EVENT!
TFTC smile 20956 Out and about on a Rainy day grabbing a cache to try and keep a challenge going signed as GS1947 on small logs On a trip to Maryborough to fine a few caches with Chamad with the 4x4 attributes need a few more It's Party time at GCARTY0 - 05 October 2025 Sunshine Coast come and join us for a great time Thank you StevoFoundIt for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Wandering around HB with ToucanKB and Danielle46, signing as KTD. Fast find here. GPS approx 6 metres out for us but we attributed that to the difference between hiders' and finders' devices and performed our usual expansive search. Clever hide. Tftc
With bsharwood, we anchored in the bay and came in to explore and find caches. Thanks to the name, I knew what it was as soon as we got there. We quickly got to the log and had it signed and returned. Giving this a favorite. Thanks for setting this up!
Very clever cache. Even with our caching experience we were almost fooled by it. Thanks and fave point earned.
Parked nearby and headed to this cache. I was just playing with the container figuring how to get the log out when the CO turned up. Nice to meet you. We chatted about all things geocaching. Signed the log and CO returned it. Thanks StevoFoundIt. All good with this cache
Came down to Hervey Bay to do the two Adventure labs I have not completed. All this for a souvenir. Parked very close to this one and went for a short walk. Thanks to the name I had an Idea what it may be and I have not seen a decent one of these for many moons. Love it. Quick find and a quick retrieval. Small logs signed YOF and bigger bits of paper etc I used youngoldfella. Favourite point for the hide ( Host) TFTC StevoFoundit.
Down in the Bay with geohubby, youngoldfella, doing Adventure labs and this one was close to an AL. Youngoldfella pout his hand on it straight away thanks to the word "Thirsty." He will say more in his log. Small logs signed CCC otherwise use coralcoascacher. TFTC
Maryborough Day 7. Our last day hereWe are now camped at the RV Homebase, catching up with our geocaching friends.Caching again today with Team Tawhai.Headed to Hervey Bay to visit the markets & then onto find some caches. Our main aim was the ALs in town But this didn't happy as the app was not working today.A great hide , we have a similar one at Port Macquarie. FP givenThanks StevoFoundIt for hiding this cache.
We are house and dog sitting in Urangan for a week, escaping the Melbourne cold. I have been loaned a bike by the wonderful jaktembo, and stopped on the way back to our accommodation to search for some caches along the Esplanade. We have a very similar hide, although the log sheet is concealed slightly differently. Nicely constructed and placed. Once it weathers in a bit, it'll look even better. All in good dry condition. Another find with Mrs D and TD99. The Mrs made the find. This cache construction required commitment, and I applaud you for the creativity and deception. Fav. TFTC
Bumblebee was suspicious. The rest of the geofamily were lacking in stealth as the park slowly filled with families. Bumblebee sent them off. The log was soon in hand thanks to Bumblebee.TFTCBallbagbag&Bumblebee + Possum&Bilby
With only 4 favs was not expecting something so creative. A little more investigation revealed this is a very new cache. Do that explains it!Have seen these before so a quick find, and a fav point for the effort that goes into this.TFTC!
Came to the aquarium today and had to get this cache. This is my second cache found like this and I love the idea. TFTC.
Back in H Bay and there is a new cache to find This was a quick and easy find on a very quiet Monday afternoon in this area.TFTC
I need to do some final checks on the cache before publishing it. Should be available later today.
I woke up this morning to find the notification for a new cache published at some ungodly hour. We moved here from Ferntree Gully in Victoria, which has fierce contenders for FTFs. I checked the cache page to see no activity and remembered I am now in sleepy Hervey Bay. Geodog Bruno has to be walked every day, so I may as well take him for a walk to the cache I thought to myself. We arrived at GZ and I immediately saw and thought of a million great places right here to place a cache. GeowifeE was not with me ( she is the searcher whilst I usually sit down and check past logs). I went straight to the hint...in hindsight, I wish I hadn't! Finally, a well crafted, thought-out cache in HB (we do now realise how spoilt we were in Vic). No disrespect meant to other COs, but mint tins, pill bottles, and sistemas do get a little tedious after a couple thousand. Thank you, StevoFoundIt, for your time and effort in creating this cache. Fave point given.
Found at 12.10 hrs. Quick find on this one and didn't damage any plants. Liked the container. Favorite point from me as well.TFTC StevoFounditSLjg
