Find#3036After techsavvy9 invited me out for a day of geocaching today I jumped at the chance. With not much left for us each to get we target these new caches down near Morisset. Nice quick find today Cache and log in good condition TFTC Ilovemolly1
(6 of 12 today)Like **Jackscruff**, I should have been up this way for that lunch yesterday. Unlike her I waited an extra day to plunder the area for some finds.I was after five for my calendar - and for the rest of the year all my calendar needs are only a single cache on eight days, except for December 20 when I need four. I'm looking good, then to meet my goal of 25 by the end of 25 - I'll only have a handful of days to grab next year!So today I managed 12 finds (and one DNF) around Morisett - seven more than I need. Well, I got to keep overall find numbers up for the year too. ###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Soggy walk in and as I closed on GZ spotted a stump. Easy! Nope not there...Looked around and spotted another a short distance away.Thats the one.Added my ink to the log, replaced and squelched away.SLTNLNTFTC
Other finders have said the hide wasn't really a stump. Yes, it was!Having read past logs and not liking leeches and having already been in a couple of really wet locations I came prepared with gum boots and put them on before venturing off to find this cache. Turned out to be a really good choice as there was water along most of the track to GZ. I tried one spot and much to my surprise was able to lift a very heavy looking stump. Not the right place though. Tried another stump and there it was.Once again there was no camo concealing the cache. I don't think those cachers yesterday bothered to replace things properly. Anyway I signed the log then fixed that.TFTC # 6310
Found with Shaneo58, doing some caching around the Morisset/Cooranbong area on this nice spring day. Temps in mid 20's, but feels hotter, and maybe some rain later, Finally got it, after missing the FTF due to incorrect coordinates.Signed log and Cache replaced as found.**Thanks For The Cache** Ilovemolly1.This is the 1st cache of 18 for today making a grand total of 4539 at 8:40AM on this Thursday the 31st of October in the Year 2024
Found it with BillHill531. I finally got my revenge on a blue grumpy. TFTC Ilovemolly1
a much easier find here today with better co ords. thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
Saw the coordinates had been changed so thought I would try again. Turned the blue sad face into a happy yellow face.Just a friendly warning - I found a leech on my leg when I was walking back to the car.
Out for a day of Caching on my own there is not many days left until my ankle surgery which will stop me caching for a few months maybe until next year. but today was great I found all I was looking for. To the CO. Thank you for placing the caches and maintaining them.
Well it was tricky! We checked an area 5m radius. Eventually just before we were going to give up we looked again at something and there was the cache. TFTC.
Coordinates changed from:S 33 6.212 E 151 29.402Coordinates changed to:S 33 6.201 E 151 29.433Distance from original: 172.1 feet or 52.5 meters.Coords were off by 48mtrs
[FTF] 1630. Saw the coords had changed, so gave it another go. not dure why, but my phone had not changed the coords so i had to enter in a WP. Tricky when i left my glasses in car.. stretch og the imagination tp call it a stump. LOL. TFTC.
Go here on dusk with madrabbitoh, but no luck. Plenty of leeches from either here or Pleasant, that we found later this evening. The area is not my liking, right next to the school. Anyway searched past dark, but not that many stumps to look at really.
DNF for this one, trying to do some caches around Morisset We looked at all the likely spots you would/could hide a cache around near GZ, . Ilovemolly1. Attempted to find this at 10:55AM on this Wednesday the 25th of September in the year 2024
DNF. Broadened our search area, but no luck today. Will try another day. Thx for placing this cache.
