Parked in the shade at the parking coords, casually walked down the hill to the sign. From there, I was guided along the trails and wow, had no idea a swinging bridge was down here. Bounced my way across, then continued on the long walk to GZ. Slightly slipped on a wet rock on my way down at where I looked around for awhile before investigating a certain suspect, CIH soon afterwards.Great simple multi, enjoyed the walk thanks Yaveltal
Today I headed out to Dural for the Amateur Radio NSW (HAM Radio) bi-monthly Trash & Treasure sale at the Quarry Road HQ site (VK2WI) and, after a fun filled morning of HAM radio junk scrounging (best prize purchase was a BC-611 WWII Handie Talkie) with lots of friendly chit chat and a tasty BBQ lunch, stopped off along the way back home for a few caches. This was the 2nd of 3 finds for the day. This MultiCache was next, parking the geomobile near the end of Keighran Place, then walking down to the information sign. Quickly gleaned what was needed, and soon had some final GZ coordinates for loading into the GPSr. Followed the bush track all the way down to GZ, where the cache was a nice quick find on arrival. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Yaveltal.Find #7258
This one is going to have to be disabled for a little while due to incoming overflow in the creek this cache is situated beside. Water levels may reach the cache. Will assess damage soon.
Water levels have receded a bit since last night, cache is relatively untouched and log is still signable. Cache on.
Was in the area grabbing some other caches in the bush nearby and seen this was only around 500m walk away so decided why not. Once at the waypoint there were muggles so had to wait for them to go then quick worked out cords but then once near GZ the same muggles were in the way again so had to wait again. Once they were gone I quickly located the cacheTFTC
Find #: 3,749Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Cool spring eveningCache condition: GoodI was on the way to CCC and decided to find a cache enroute. I parked next to WP1 and gathered the necessary details before heading over to GZ. I love when councils not only meet the brief but far exceed it - an impressive bridge well beyond the requirements for the "raging waters" below! Anyway, I wandered around a bit before finding the container - TNLNSL.I returned to my car to find I had picked up 3 travellers, sigh. I used my car keys to flick them off, and in the process sent my keys flying and coming apart. When I tried to start the car it refused to recognise the key. Arggghhh! I phoned my wife who was on her way home, but luckily before she had to go too far out of her way I was able to get the car started, and I was able to go to CCC.Thanks for the excitement
**{FTF}** @ 22:37.I went down to Bidjigal bush land today to find 2 solved caches, and had an itch for one more with a great DT. It was about 800m walk through the bush, including a creek crossing, and it was already dark when I arrived at the parking spot. Decided to send it with my crappy torch I had in my car. Crossed the creek, all is well. I began the last 500m stretch, and it was getting more terrainous but the torch held. I got to about 100m away, and I could see a piercing bright light dead ahead. Hmmm, maybe its lights from a house, but I doubt it, Im quite low. Got to about 80m, and sat perched. It was a group of men, with torches and a flood light, all at GZ!!Watched for ten mins but they werent leaving. No way they were cachers, maybe some blokes camping or having beers. Cant run the risk of jumping out f the bush in the dark to a bunch of strangers. Who knows what theyre doing! So I had to sadly abandon. Got home, had dinner, and saw more notifications pool through. All too far away, so I left them.Had a call for work, and then checked the inbox. Shoot this came out 45 mins ago!! Still no finds, but a watcher. After my last experience, I was hesitant about another cache in the bush, but decided to send it.Short drive, and now I was armed with my super torch. Makes life easy!WP1 tricked me at first, but once I realised what I needed I collected E then S. A short walk to GZ. I also checked out the bridge which was really cool! Ill have to sus out this bush another time, no way Im doing it now. Cache was found in a logical place, and signed with torch in mouth. Thanks for an enjoyable find and taking me to a new place Id never seen. TFTC AND FTF
