Found while walking around DC for the day - we covered 10 miles but grabbed a lot of caches. TFTC.
We were off to the USA and Canada for a few weeks of holiday, and thoroughly enjoyed traveling around, and visiting the many different places and caches we came across
Bright and early today we decided to head off and enjoy all that the Washington DC area has to offer. So we jumped on some bikes, and began our peddle around town. Capitol Hill was first up on our list for today, so we pulled up alongside GZ, and walked in to check out the answer. We quickly had the information needed, and soon headed off to get some photos around Capitol Hill [^]

Very cool place (literally and figuratively) to visit. Enjoyed a respite there. I appreciated learning the history of this place too.
Visited DC on a hot and sunny afternoon and tried to clean up the city, by converting all the ghosts to smilies. Had a long walk around the mall and after 5h and several miles walk, I had visited 22 ghosts. All great places . TFTC

Thank you for allowing us to discover this fascinating spot. We have always been fascinated by Olmstead's work.
So I was going into DC for the WWFM as well as the other event in town this morning and decided to spend the morning picking up the munzee virtuals for the double point weekend. So I got off the metro at the SW Capitol stop and did a circle around the Smithsonian end of the Mall and ended up at the Capitol Building to pick up the ones there. I swung by here to grab the info as I had missed it the last time I was down on this end of the capitol.
I had a great time and walked a crazy amount today.
Thanks for the fun virtual.

A group from the South Jersey Geocachers made our way to the beautiful city of Washington DC. This was one of our many stops on a gorgeous day. As soon as we got near gz, I told pygmy pop I want one of these in our back yard. What a cute and lovely spot! Water always draws me, and the azaleas were at peak bloom. Perfect! Fav Point!

This is the 4th day of my much anticipated trip to the 1st International EarthCache (Mega) Event in Maine. Twelve states, (6 new ones) plus DC over 13 days. I'm very happy to have started this adventure. My walk around the mall started out with me tripped on the angled curb by the cross walks. Got just a tiny raspberry on my left hand. Saw so much today and missed even more. Will have to come back to just visit the museums. This cache was very welcomed. My hands needed a wash and the water quenched my thirst. Today started out with some rain which stopped after an hour. Then clouds until the early evening when the heavy rains started. TFTVC
Walked right past before checking my cache lists, then returned to find it! Email being sent. TFTC.
E-mail sent with required information. Been many years since I came to this part of DC. TFTC
Found with 24_fan. Thanks for the cache! 24_fan sent the answers for both of us to the cache owner.
I stopped by here with scouter649 while walking from the SCOTUS building back towards the mall. It was a pleasant place to stop and get a drink of water. Thanks!
A needed stop on this 100 degree day! Cool place. Thanks a lot for the history of this place! And thanks for the cache.
What a neat structure. It's especially nice to have the shade and the water on a hot summer day. TFTC.

Greetings from an Australian caching team on holidays in America
We have traveled from New Orleans via Key West to here and this has been a great place to spend the afternoon walking around.
We parked over at the L'Enfant Plaza it cost us $20 for the day and walked over to Capitol Hill via a visit to the space museum.
Then we got a taxi over to the Lincoln memorial and then walked back to the car.
This was one of many Virtual's along the way.
Found this one before I grabbed the taxi.

Still jet-lagged from the flight yesterday I found this nice place early in the morning. Thanks!
Arrived at the "house" at 1:25pm. During winter it seems it is locked, although the day was pleasant and it would have been nice to enjoy its quietude. Entrances were counted. TFTC
Like others have said, it is an amazing out of the way place. Great virtual. TFTC
Nice trip to DC, caching in and out of the sights. Visiting up from Chapel Hill, NC. Answer was provided by Flashjam in email. Great location, this was my second sweep of the virtuals I have missed on previous visits. Very very nice spot, but the water was off!

Jeanne and I stopped by here today as we explored more of the National Mall on foot. It was a tiring day but filled with interesting stops! Definitely a peaceful little spot. Answer emailed. Thanks for setting up this cache.
We only had today as free time to walk around and see the sites before having to be cooped up all day tomorrow in meetings. This would be a cool place to have a meeting.... Wonder if they would consider moving it here.... Emailed for verification.
Found this little gem early enough in our marathon DC day that we really did not need to use it's features, but we did sit and take 5. Olmsted was Central Park NYC architect, and this has his stamp on it.
