Sadly this cache has gone missin. Maybe a fisherman stumbled across it during his nature call.
Ah, you know it's getting close to summer in Sydney (cough) when you wake up to a pall of bush fire smoke (cough) covering the land and the skys are that beautiful shade of brown (cough).
Had to head over to Brookie to pick up some bits for the BearMobile, so detoured to this one on the way home. Took longer to get into the area than I was expecting, and I knew it was going to take even longer to get out again. It doesn't look that hard on the street directory...
It's certainly a magnificent spot for a cache...if only there was one there . Had an appointment so only managed to get in about 30 minutes of searching, but didn't find the cache. Found the thong graveyard at GZ, lots of cans, jars and bottles. For a spot that's reasonably out of the way, there's a remarkable number of people coming and going: ran into two fishermen on my way there; there was a couple of guys walking around the area when I got there; on the way out passed four guys just starting on the trail.
I'll definately head back in there with my camera, even if the cache has gone. Thanks 2 Dogs for a great location and a most enjoyable morning walk.

PS. I was only 5 minutes late for my appointment

5th of 7 today...
Couldn't find this one... but I'm still glad I went there... A fantastic location with spectacular views and one which gives you an appreciation of the power of the sea.
I found the saucepan, a bucket, many beer bottles, coke cans and a jacket, but couldn't find what I was looking for...
This was the most strenuous cache site I've been to so far, but I survived... I would probably rate the terrain as a 3 - I definitely wouldn't take young kids there...
Thanks 2 Dogs... for yet another great location...

Second find today for Oky's mates and the geokiddies who were enjoying their first day of treasure hunting. Geokiddie number one timed our expedition with his new watch and we found the cache exactly 42 minutes after leaving the car. At least half this time was trying to find ground zero. We found a few dead ends and steep creek tracks but couldn't get closer than 25 mt. Backtracked closer to the ocean and tried another track which got us within 10 m of the cache. From here we stopped looking at the GPS and searched - successfully finding the cache soon after. The geokiddies took a koala and colouring pencils, Oky's mate took the chaos cash - our first chaos cash find. Unfortunately the item we had planned to leave (which followed the ocean theme) wouldn't fit in the container, so we left a piggy and some winnie the pooh stickers.
Thanks Hounddog we enjoyed the view and even the geokiddies didn't think the smell was too bad on the way down. To think I worked nearby for 3 months many years ago and never came out here. No whales to be seen today but we watched a cruise boat come in, a dive boat go out, and a seaplane circling overhead.

On a day when the mercury hit 36 this cache lived up to its name. We were so close to being able to cool off, yet so far away. The water looked so inviting, if only that smelly place wasn't there.
Great location and great views.... Took the face paints and left some SES stuff.

4:30pm. I don't know why I didn't come this way the first time I tried this cache. Easy peasy! Didn't need a peg. Maybe no-one went today. Left a Stubby Holder (not the geocacher, but a real stubby holder) and some Chaos Cash. Took the Tea Bags and the Tissues. Good one Hounddog.

Call of the ocean, or call of nature? Pee-EWW!
Not sure if i took the long road in, but didn't have to cross the wall! as other have..
after almost a year, the call, finalyy was unbearbly strong enough ( or was that the smell again?) to draw me here.
but did stumble on some pretty good realestate, i wonder what the rental would beon this place ( see photo)
had fun finding the cache, found the fishing rod stash, but not the thonngs. ah well. left one on a tree to start a thong tree nearby.
great cache Hounddog.

We agree with the sentiments about the smell, and the ticks, but the vista's are well worth the effort!!! Cache hiding spot turned out to be easier than we expected, but it still took us half an hour in fading light.
Cache in good condition, and we removed a fruit bar and added Harry Potter bandaids (required after being scratched up in the bushes[B)]).
Gratitude to Hounddog

Found after second attempt. View's are fantastic... don't know about the smell, though!
5 of 7 for us today!
Well we came back to the scene of the crime, determined to find it and come out without TICKS this time!
Armed with some extra clues care of Bushrat, but without the co-ordinates (Doh!), so the GPS was of no use!
GPSless, we found it in literally seconds, precisely in the location that we had previously scoured for over an hour, and only a meter from where we had set up base camp last time. Incredible.
Took snakes and left a very cute Koala Bear

It's still there all right. And there's a bonus surprise nearby that obviously belongs to someone - please re-cover it and don't take it. We also found pieces of a geocaching.com printout lying around -please be careful not to leave these around or we'll give the game away!
I notice several frownies in a row... Tip for young players: accuracy can be lousy under tree cover, you can get a good GPS fix nearby and use a tape measure and compass to extrapolate. Worked for us.

Sorry guys I know there are lots of purple frownies here, but the truth is the cache is still in it's original location waiting to be found. I checked this myself the day after eco team logged a no find. If you really are stuck E-mail me and perhaps I can help.
We also looked around for about an hour and were unable to find it. Looks like maybe both of us need thicker glasses
COULDN'T FIND IT!!!
Our trusty eTrex told us we were standing right on it, and we searched for over an hour in scrub.
We did find a bucket, a large plastic box with a pipe, lots of drink cans, some thick rope, a cache of thongs, and a cake tin inhabited by a lizard among other items.
We looked up, under, in, and around everthng within a 30m radius with no luck. The site now looks like a crop circle! :->
WHERE IS IT??
Either the cache is missing, or this one needs to be re-rated we think!
Or perhaps we just need thicker glasses!

Sorry to see you didn't find it Eco team. I will do a check as soon as possible and let you know. In the mean time good luck with your cache hunting.
We spotted one bandicoot on the way but alas no whales. The bananas had split open so we removed them from the bandicoots temptation, also took the fog horn - replaced with two packets of lollies. Geo Pup really loved his surprise, thanks Snifter.
The Ideologues answered the call of the ocean, swapping some fantastic freddos for a foghorn. Toot toot!
8:45am Piggie's persistant plodding past poo paid a premium! Piggies were the first to this cache! Our first virgin! A very nice place too - got some good photos!
