Expecting a walk up and take a picture type virtual I was surprised to see the requirements here. Then I realised the age of the cache, a belated happy 21st! Logged with permission. Thanks for the quick response and cache Muzza.
Thank you Muzza for allowing me to log your virtual cache. I'm old enough to remember the series and it's stars some are still around. I wonder what the surrounding streets were like on filming days. A great area full of history.Greytiger
TFTC:). Sent the answers and got the go ahead from the C.O. Nice piece of television trivia and history.C.C
Williamstown has lots of really cute buildings and nice to see that they have all of their character preserved I didnt watch this TV series but I am heard it was very popularThank you for taking me off the Main Street and showing me a different area
I wouldve never had these answer! Thanks internet and its information.Being overseas doesnt help but thanks for discovering this! Cheers
Crutyvarmint and I jumped on the trains today and headed down to Williamstown. The weather was iffy but we had an enjoyable day ticking off some caches and learning about the area. Thanks for this cache Muzza.
A great start to my Saturday morning, and got the cache I have had my eyes on for a whileAll answers approved from the COThanks for taking me here!
I had no idea about this house, nor did I recognise it. A short search of the address gave me the answers. And then I had a bit of a laugh, as my partner had been streaming this show for ages. Personally, I'm not a fan. The way the characters talk to each other is pretty unpleasant, and I don't think anyone would work there very long at all!! Cheers for the cache and for keeping it going for so many years!
What a beautiful little find this was. Having only just recently started Geocaching I have yet to find any geocaches other than those which are a traditional type. I was in Williamstown with my sister on a beautiful day being Mothers Day. The woman who raised me often brought her and I here as children and now she has passed away. It is annual tradition for my sister and I to come to Williamstown each Mothers Day.I decided to see whether there were any Geocaches in the area and found that most of them were something other than traditional. I had a look at this particular virtual which is a form I understand to now no longer possible to create all existing virtual were grandfathered.I was very interested to see whether or not I could work this one out. I arrived at the post coordinates to find a very beautiful old Victorian style home, the sort of home that is very prevalent in Williamstown and the inner west of Melbourne. I immediately found the yellow sign on the back of a pole, but was not able to find any clue at the posted coordinates as to what the house was for, television wise, in a past life. So I googled the address and I soon found out that it belonged to a television show which was very popular with my parents as I grew up. I certainly remember watching the latest episodes of the show as a child. If I remember correctly the star of the show, or should I say one of the stars of the show went many years in the show before he eventually won a logies award? I I would like to thank the geocache owner for bringing me to a new part of Williamstown and learning a little something about the history of a place that is near and dear to my heart. After sending my answers to the CO, they promptly replied, and I was good to log my find. I wrap up another beautiful Mothers Day spent with my sister remembering my beloved grandmother and learning a small piece of history. Thank you very much.
We had no idea which TV show was filmed at this location until we were standing outside the building. Even then, we needed Googles help. This was a TV show watched by Steve, but I only caught the odd episode.Answers were submitted, and a quick response was received from the CO with some interesting added tidbits about this site.We thoroughly enjoyed this Virtual. Cheers Muzza.
Enjoyed learning a bit more about this building, CO was quick to respond with confirmation.
Flying in from WA this virtual was first on my list before heading south for a friends birthday. Such a lovely place here in Williamstown. Finding the answers to the questions I sent them off prior to logging. After the CO gave the green light, this oldie is now a smilie on my map!Cheers Muzza, I learnt some Aussie history here today!
Catching up on logging virtual caches after visiting Melbourne for a few days for the Grand Prix. As most of my time was dedicated to being at Albert Park, there wasn't a whole lot of time for caching. So with the spare time I had before returning home, I decided to focus on grabbing a bunch of virtuals, including some out in the suburbs utilising a mixture of trams, trains and ubers. I had never actually heard of this show until doing the research for this cache, probably because I was very young when it ended its run Thank you again for confirming my answers in record time! Thanks for the virtual cache
11181A quartet of us came down for the Trans Tasman Ice Hockey weekend and ventured out here before Game 3 for something to do. While the wives waited for coffee to arrive, the blokes wandered down to this cache. We guessed the show, but not the use. Answers sent and confirmed by owner in lightning time (thanks again).Got back for coffee to be abused by a local with issues, making this an iconic visit to this area TFTC Muzza and the crow call.
A short trip down to Melbourne to help a mate fulfil a dream of his for the last 5 years to try and break the record for running around Australia. With all the preparations in hand I had time for a bit of down time in Williamstown trying to stay out of the heat, and had a feeling that this building was featured in one of my old favourite TV shows. That turned out to be the case and the CO kindly confirmed my answers were correct and provided some additional information which I hadn't been aware of. Thanks for bringing back some great memories through this cache!
On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. Day 21/74, Sunday. Another day with a lot of walking in hot weather. The good thing about the hot weather is that it works as a great excuse for ice cream. This time I was wandering around Williamstown the whole day. Lovely day!Hmm, the task... I had to ask from my friend, Google. The other task I was able to solve with my own eyes, though. Thank you for the cache, and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! Logged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).
Out and about in the Williamstown area searching for caches with chook from chooknchunk, micaparamedic and explorer nan. Wow, what a brilliant day! It took us a lot longer than we thought but thoroughly enjoyed the leisurely pace - absorbing interesting history and the coastal views. After lunch we headed home via this virtual. Blast from the past!!! Thanks so much for this virtual. Answers sent and approved.
Chook caught the early train from Beaufort and met up with micaparamedic, Sunset62 and Explorer Nan for a caching day trip around Williamstown. The weather was absolutely perfect and we had a wonderful day full of fun and laughs. After finally making it to Nelson Place much later than originally intended (because we were enjoying the walk and the caches, not rushing along), we sat down to enjoy a leisurely lunch before heading towards the station via this Virtual Cache. The location conjured up some television memories from long ago - they were a bit rusty but luckily we could still figure out where we were. It was good to still be able to see this location and also to log this virtual cache from 2003. Answers sent and approved. Thank you Muzza for keeping it going all this time.
Headed down from Bendigo to meet up with chooknchunk, sunset62 and Explorer Nan for a day wandering around Williamstown picking up a few caches. This television show was not on my watch list when it was popular. Consequently the building, although magnificent, provided no semblance of recognition for me. Chook came to the party and a quick google search of images of the building confirmed the answer. I had it in my head of what I needed to send but it turned out incorrect, even though I had a photo of the required answer. This was corrected later in the evening when I had some communication with the CO.Thanks Muzza for placing this Virtual Cache to enhance the game board and add to our enjoyment.
Stopped by today for the virtual. The TV series was lost on me but with research I found it. Thanks for the cache.
Spending a couple of days in Melbourne due to daughter having an operation. Plan today was to go for a drive out of the city for brunch. Decided to head to Williamstown with this cache in mind to complete another LGA and another square on my jasmer grid. This tv series was one of my favourites growing up. It was great to check out some tv history, although my geo daughter had no idea what I was talking about. Thanks Muzza for your quick reply and permission to log
When we woke this morning we intended to catch an early flight back to Brisbane to get back for work. My wife had been experiencing problems with her ears, and had asked for a seat towards the front. The lovely Jetstar staff informed us that she could not fly without a doctors letter. So began our morning of searching for a doctor who would see her. Before we could start that search we had to kill a few hours so I suggested my old stomping ground of Willy for breakfast. Couldnt help but pop out for a quick cache or two around the area. I remember all the times streets were blocked off for shooting of one thing or another down this way.Glad to pick up this oldie. Thanks mizza
On a long weekend from Brisbane visiting friends and family we had a bit of time to find some target caches and this was one of them. I gathered some information at GZ and then a bit of googling. Oh i see. Wow how nice would it be to live somewhere famous. The owners just pulled in to their driveway as we left . I wonder what they must think. Thanks Muzza for a quick reply and the added history. Thanks for a fun virtual
Find 3189Thanks to CO for his quick response and also a little more history.Couldnt pass this cache up as I was doing some bike riding today.Answers obtained and sent for approval.Loved this piece of trivia and history. Thanks again Muzza
After a nice walk along the front I diverted off to the side to grab the details for this old-school original Virtual. All good here and answers have been submitted and accepted. Cheers Muzza.Last full day in Melbourne and a trip out to Williamstown was the plan. Just a couple of finds but good to see yet another area of this wonderful part of Victoria state. Thanks to the COs.
I was in Williamstown specifically to find a couple of challenge caches but this one was also on my todo list. From communications with C O I found that this particular building had an interesting past history. Thank you Muzzafor the challenge and the cache. My 7001st logged find.
Got to Williamstown on a hot Saturday for a breeze and walk along the coastline. It still turned out to be so hot that I sought shelter in various dining establishments
It was a rare visit to this side of the bridge, so we looked for interesting and unique caches to find. This also ticked the **vintage** square of my JASMER!Thanks Muzza for keeping this virtual alive and showing us a piece of Australian TV history.*answers sent by LetThemEatCache on my behalf and approved*
**More Melbourne Television Trivia** by *Muzza**Find 1648*A regular game that the Cache Whisperer geo-hubby (JonnyGoldcoast) and I play is to try and work out where things are filmed. Particularly local shows, like Bluey (hilariously covered and dubbed as Bargearse by the D-Gen team), The Secret Life of Us, and even tv commercials! But we never watched this show, so we learnt a little bit of tv history and trivia when doing this virtual, with the added benefit of being show somewhere new. Which to me, is what geocaching is (mostly) all about. What fun.A huge thanks to Muzza for keeping this vintage virtual going (even tho some loggers are being naughty. You might find yourself in the lockup LOL) *logging with permission from CO**Throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Explore. Dream. Discover.* **Mark Twain**
Came past this house on my 10km wander around Williamstown. Im visiting from Perth and thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the heritage buildings around the town and reading a lot of the interpretive panels that are everywhere. Have permission to log having sent through my answers. Thanks Muzza for setting up this Virtual cache.
After confirmation from the CO, we are pleased to log this cache. What a beautiful building. Tftc, and thanks for providing the opportunity to visit it!
Found today with Sobell family. Great lesson in history of TV and of the local area. Thanks for the cache.
I thought this looked familiar, but it’s changed a little since we were devotees of the program in question, and it took a little light stalking to confirm.
TFTC and adventure Muzza, was a very enjoyable show back in the day.

A show before my time, but I knew my Mum watched it when it was on. Awesome to see a bit of Australian TV history while in town today. Thanks Muzza!
How would I ever get by without Google. I did take a guess at what the show was, but I was wrong.. and I will say that I don't recall ever watching the show. Certainly an interesting piece of history. I wonder if any of the original features inside exist. Permission to log this virtual golden oldie granted.
It took a while to figure out, even if it did look familiar. Answers approved and logging with permission, TFTC

I was unusually on this side of town for my son's hockey state championships being held in Footscray. In between games we had a bit of time and so we ventured down this way to grab this.
I tried to explain to my son the relevance of the location and building here but he was the least bit interested. I did however convince him to pose for a photo in his uniform and hockey stick.
Answers sent to CO and permission was received to log. And yes I did watch the show back then.
Thank you for the Virtual here Muzza

Over this side of town for a day out with the Fam. Unfortunately they are all muggles !!!!

I made sure this was one of them.
Thanks for the green light to post Muzza.

A very quick reply by the CO, giving us permission to log. It’s been quite a few years since we were last in Williamstown, so good to familiarise ourselves again. Loved the TV series and didn’t realise this is where it happened. #9935 TFTVIRTUAL Muzza - our 1st cache for the weekend.
Visiting this location brought back some memories of this series (tho’ we didn’t actually recognise the house).
Thank you for showing us this little bit of local history.

Spent a recovery day after a busy 4 days at the Australian Grand Prix, caching with NurseyJulie.
No particular plan but we just followed the GPS grabbing caches and labs along the way.
Thanks to all the cache owners for maintaining the caches.
Even achieved 16000 steps today.

After a long drive from home, I made this my first find of the day.
I found the number and took some photos of the house.
Than I heard a couple walking by, saying is that the place on that show.
So she got her phone out and start searching.
Are they cachers come to my mind, but no. they just notice the house.
So soon after she ask me is that the house in .... show.
I was happy to say yes.
Thank you Murray for the hide.

Due to the ease with which Google Street View can be used to determine the street address, I have now changed the question to provide the number on the power pole on the LHS of the driveway.
Out with pinnacle333, we were caching in the Williamstown area.
I used to watch this TV series, now I have seen where it was filmed.
Logged with permission from CO. Thanks Muzza.

After getting the go ahead from Muzza to log the cache here it is, I'm down for a few days in cold Melbourne. TFTC
This brought back memories growing up. Thanks for the opportunity of visiting here and for this virtual. TFTC
It’s a beautiful house that we walked past this morning on our way back from brunch. So many great places here in Williamstown. Lived in Victoria all my life and have never been to Williamstown before TFTC and bringing me to this location

With a unexpected change in plans for today, I contacted Rebel Acts to see if he was available for some short notice caching enjoyment.
The day was long but certainly filled with much laughter and caching stories.
Cheers for the cache

Visited this area of Melbourne in the late afternoon and stayed for dinner. Had been a long day with an early flight from Brisbane, then the rest of the family flying in from Townsville after midnight. Thanks for pointing out this interesting spot in the suburbs, answers verified one I read all the questions! Thanks Muzza.
I have been working on qualifying for the [WCW - 6 Types Every Day Challenge (GCA0HZQ)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCA0HZQ) and when I checked the checker it said that I needed to find a Virtual on the 11th.
So I started scouting out possible Virtuals when I saw this one. I have been loving the Melbourne TV Trivia series, so decided to drive over to this one. With a bit of googling I was able to obtain the required information.
As a non-native Australian i have loved going to see these Virtuals. They are like a snap shot into a moment of Australian pop culture. I’ll have to see if I can find the show online to watch.
Thanks so much for bringing me here today and TFTC.

Found the day after seeing Billy Joel at the MCG. What an awesome virtual; after some quick Googling at GZ we had some answers soon enough, and have been emailed to the CO. Interesting trivia, Mum talked about the actors in this show at lunchtime afterwards. Lovely area too, the trendiness of the area was great, especially nearby where there’s a building with an old chimney has had a modern facelift. A beautiful day and lunch in Williamstown before the rain set in on the way home. TFTC muzza!
I knew that being a visitor to Melbourne would put me at a bit of a disadvantage for this cache, but I made the visit anyway. And after some sleuth work, I was able to find the answers, and got the thumbs up to post the find. Thanks very much, muzza, for continuing to manage this virtual for so long (and also for your puzzles which have kept me occupied!). TFTC from Tennessee, USA

While on my way to the MEGA event in Whittlesea, I had the opportunity to get in a few extra days of caching beforehand. This got me to go to areas I would not have normally seen and to some awesome caches. Today I arranged to meet up with Snickersallan and we would do some caches around the area, fill in some grid spaces and look at some labs. We had fun chasing multi’s, although a couple did not work out even when the checker agreed with us. We got in a few caches around this area and mainly concentrated on some labs and a few Virtuals.
While in the area we decided to venture off and do this cache. I love doing Virtual caches and this was a nice find for us today.

I went down to Eastern Beach in Geelong for a picnic with friends. Neither Zeus, nor the kids wanted to come go it gave me the opportunity to stop and get some old caches and some LGAs that I was missing. This one has been on my to do list for ages! I loved this show when it first came out but my interest waned over the years. I had no idea that a lot of the buildings around Williamstown were used . . . Logged with COs permission.
Wow that takes me back, i recognised it instantly when i arrived at gz. It seems like a long time ago but this show was a staple in my household. I visited this location about a week ago, the afternoon was glorious and the blossom trees and gardens in the area and at this address were spectacular. I had such a lovely day. Thanks for the memories and the fun.
A great spot for a virtual.
Luckily I am of an era….
The Sullivans, cop shop, solo one etc…
Pushing for 100 virtuals. Into the 80’s now.

Spent an evening walking along Altona beach then went to Williamstown for dinner. This virtual cache was near where we parked so we went to get the info. Brought back memories of watching the TV show!
With a day off today, I went right from one end of the green line to the other with a caching trip in Williamstown I'd been thinking about for a long time but never actually acted upon until today.
The weather was downright miserable the entire time and I seemed determined to wreck my already pretty beaten shoes with all the walking through surfaces of varying consistencies!
Still, the intermittent rain did a good job of scaring away the muggles and I managed to get some caches I suspect would've been significantly more difficult on a nice day.
I'm not quite old enough to have ever been the target audience for this show, but I still enjoyed researching it!
There was no need to push through a horde of fans to find the house number, as I was the only one there today, though I do wonder how many people drive past these days and say "hey, that's the [location] from [show]!"
A prompt response was received from the CO alongside some interesting history!

Logged with C.O. permission. While we were down in the big smoke celebrating my bosses retirement we decided to collect some caches while in the area. After collecting a couple of caches that highlight some tragic historical events we decided to stop by this one to lighten the mood. After pulling up we recorded the required number and put our thinking hats on but MrsH_3 soon had the needed information to complete the cache after then we continued our journey homeward. Thanks Muzza for bringing us here we are giving it a Fav point
Out with the grandkids for a ferry ride from the city to Williamstown. Did the walk around the streets telling them of the police series I used to watch. This is my old stomping ground having grown up in the area. Memories. Thanks for bringing me back Muzza
My wife and I had just flown into town and grabbed a rental car to start our holiday. You would think that we would just head to the closest cache and sign the log and then forget about it but instead we wanted to find a cache we would remember and then forget like the date of our anniversary. At least I thought it was something Mrs Woodyrothwell and I agreed to forget, but she seems to remind me of the date every year, with tears in her eyes.
We crossed lots of red lights, but we weren’t in any hurry. We were on holidays so what did we care if a slow Sunday driver was out on a Saturday? Calendars are just important facts fed to us in a weird way.
I walked Mrs Woodyrothwell to GZ hoping it would tinkle the ivories with her because I never watched the show. When I saw her blank face I realised she hasn’t seen the show either. I was hoping that she had all the information until we found ourselves Googling on the footpath. We love learning new stuff, like never trust your best partner to know stuff. tftc

Went for a drive today down to Williamstown, the aim was to walk along the coast but it was so freezing we did a bunch of short walks and drive-bys with defrosting in the car inbetween.
Finding this cache brought back memories, I used to watch this all the time as a kid, so it is cool to see. Logging with permission and TFTC and the walk down memory lane Muzza!

We soon had the right info and passed our answers to the CO who was swift in responding to us.
I loved this show when it was being aired.

Thanks Muzza for the cache and for the quick response.
I never would have known this was here if not for caching. A slice of TV history. Just brilliant. Thanks Muzza
Found on a sunny summer's evening. Too young to have watched the show but I knew something famous had been filmed in that street. Now I'll never forget it.
Went for a look on the way home from a sunrise walk on the beach. I’m old enough to remember the show and although aware that it was filmed locally - had not been to this exact location. Thanks

Day Five: Wangaratta to Drysdale
The missing Victorian LGAs
My first find in Hobsons Bay.
My GPS was a bit vague here, and I wasn’t completely sure which property or even which side of the road. I looked at the candidates and had no idea. A resident pulled up in a car and so I asked him for help. He had no idea either (although he was intrigued/interested). Google to the rescue. I never saw a single episode of this show.
I do enjoy Virtuals where there is a bit more work than just a photo of GZ. Thanks for putting this one out there Muzza.

An enjoyable day catching up with friends in Melbourne. We have barely seen them due to the various lockdowns. Chatted with their son about Geocaching as he loves bushwalking and puzzles and treasure hunts; Geocaching is a one-stop-shop for those three pursuits. We had done some research on this one before we arrived, and we knew we were correct with our answers as soon as we laid eyes on the property. We are posting with the CO's permission, as we have sent the responses. Thank you for this Virtual cache Muzza.
To say I loved this show is an understatement. Probably showing my age here, but what the matter. We had good quality locally produced shows back in the 80's and 90's. These shows kick started the international careers of most of our home grown actors. What a beaut vitual Muzza. Thanks for the privilege of visiting where it all began .
I actually parked almost right in front of this building today when visiting Williamstown! Beautiful day today.
I remember watching a few episodes of this show back in the day but had to do some research to confirm.

Thank goodness for Jeniquoi - she knew the show and the purpose of the place. All I do is the navigation
Found on a walk around Williamstown. Never seen the show so had to do some research but pleased to be brought to this spot. TFTC
Well that was an interesting little place! Mr hooligan informs me (I'm from overseas!) That it in fact looked different on the show! Very interesting information from the CO! Thanks for this one!
Used to watch religiously when I was younger, visited the site several times before I knew about geocaching. Glad to have a cache there and a train to visit again.
Thanks
Thanks
Out enjoying the lockdown sunshine, I randomly looked for nearby caches. Took a minute to work out which building I had to look at. With a bit of thinking, its TV alter-ego came rushing back. Loved that show, and had NO idea it was partly filmed down here. Thanks for the memories!
Had to ask my mum about this one as it started before I was born and I was always sent to bed early just so she could watch it.
TFTC Muzza, what a walk down memory lane! A great genre of Australian TV. Such an historical spot with a few other good location spots just around the corner.
Thank you, well worth the visit!

With a little local knowledge and a love for a particular tv show, this was an easy find.
I had to do some research as I had never seen this show. I'm not much of a TV watcher as I can always find something more interesting to do. After trying a couple of search terms in a search engine I collected more than enough information. Obviously this series has a lot of fans.
Just got the OK to log. Had to think laterally to find the answers but they revealed themselves I. The end. I had a lovely wander around Williamstown today. Never been there before.
