***** REVIEWER NOTE *****
Hi Black Surf
It appears that this cache has been inactive for quite some time. Is it going to be replaced or should it be archived to make room for possible future caches? If the cache owner does not contact me by 21 October, I'll assume the cache needs to be archived.
While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.
I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.
Thanks for your understanding,
Regards,
Zero Gravitas

Next time I'm down that way I'll get this cache up and ruuning again, as it seems to be a popular one.
Its a sad day for the Burnett cache - we found the container base eventually - some distance from the mound. There was no sign of any other contents. Will need replacing in a new position, or archiving. Sorry to see this. This should have been 24 March - didnt watch date at top.
At least we found the case - every rock on the mound was searched, until scouting around the area we found the base of the cache. Muggled!
No luck with this, but it was a hot day with muggles about, and lots of nasty thistles. We wanted to find this one, last last time we tried, three years ago - before having a GPS, we were looking at the wrong quarry (one a few km down the road), and strangely all the clues fitted. Spent ages there!
Cache site was crawling with muggles and took all the mini muffins skill to grab it without drawing attention. Getting it back in was just as hard. Hope we got away with it.

What a lovely spot. We stopped here on our way to an overnight tramp. Time for a new log book - sorry we didn't have one with us. Took colouring pencils, left toy car. Thanks Long-John
This was the teams quickest find so far, GPS had us standing right on it. Log book is overflowing! Driven past here heaps but had reason to stop this time past. TFTC

Quick find. Cache was bulging and lid didn't fit so I removed a couple of items. LN. The cache needs a new logbook. Cheers.

Lots of sheep and lots of poo and it was raining. Very interesting place. A very good cache!
Nice spot on my way out to Erewhon. Hard to find the cache with all the sheep in there.
What a lovely day in the hills. We had a quiet walk around the park and look at the old equipment. After finding te cache we sat over by the creek and ate our lunch before continuing up the valley. + colouring pencils, - cow.
An easy find, as I was staying around at Staveley. I went into the old stone cottage as well - a fascinating place, with the old stonework and artifacts, and the thatching still there under the "recent" iron roofing. And I'd rather like to "lift" one or two of those huge limestone blocks from the quarry for my garden!!
No swaps, cheers from Grandalf.

The box and it's contents were scattered around, an animal (maybe of the human kind) ripped it again. This time a rock on top of it must help it stay put unless the animal is indeed human!
Wow it was warm here today. I spent a bit of time searching a few metres away from where I finally found the cache. And when I did find it I was amazed. It was open and the contents were on the ground only cm's from it hidey hole. Either an animal had found it or it had been muggled. Everything looked to be OK. I tidied it back up and rehid it. No exchange made. Cheers Gav [369]
Took two visits. A muggle at the first visit spooked us (and we didn't have any clues). Went to an internet cafe and downloaded the clues and went back. Found easily this time.
Took cross, left a cow from the Hororata river cache.
Our friend's mother was BORN in the little cottage.
Thanks

It made sense for the masons working in the nearby quarry to make themselves a limestone house so they could get out of the chilly tents, really...
Many photos taken by Mama Bear; one cache found, also by Mama Bear.
Thanks for the historical tour, BS!

On the way home from a Swan shoot at Lake Roundabout when I noticed the cache on the GPS. Although it was pitch black and raining heavily I thought I'd pop in for a quick look. Was on the point of giving up when I finally found it. Reading the instructions and hints would have certainly made it easier. No trade made, a good cache. Thanks Black Surf.
We were up at Maori Lakes with the camera club staying in the shearers quarters on the station just past the lakes. (OK I know I should have been paying attention when Chris told us the name but... )I was a bit cold and the radiator on the truck froze over night. Have to increase the amount of anti-freeze if we go up there again. So we left a bit earlier to head home than expected. The GPS said there was a cache so we decided to go look for it. Got to the co-ordinates and had a quick look around then thought, Must think like a Geocacher and there it was... easy...
Took a whistle.
Left a Purple Dog

15th and final cache of the long weekend. I enjoyed the creek crossing in the 4WD - Bernadette was not keen but as I was driving she did not have a choice! This was the hardest cache we hunted this weekend - to be honest, even with the clue we almost gave up, and then suddenly there it was (just in time, as we then had company) Log book was filled in, and the cache was returned while the visitors were in the cottage. I like the fact that the stone quarried here was used in the last cache we visited ('Church of the Holy Innocents')
Cheers

This was, yet another cool spot. Took the thumbs up and left the whistle. Will post photos. Second find for the day. Thanks BlackSurf.
This is another interesting cottage. Reminded us of Boundary Riders' Cottage but this one is built from limestone quarried in the area. The limestone from this area was also used to build the Church of the Holy Innocents.
It had been raining heavily over the last few days and the river was high but luckily the rain had abated before we arrived.
We have taken the Travel Bug and left shampoo and conditioner.
Thanks Black Surf for another well hidden and interesting cache.
