We decided o do the walk around Valley lake today, and it was blowing a gale. At the Centenary Tower I was blown off my feet, seriously. It was so windy I debated whether or not to attempt this cache, and was glad that it was not too difficult to find once I had decided to brave the wind.
Great spot. Found by the Aussie branch of Dobie's Pride on a cool, thankfully, morning. TFTC!
Tftc good hiding spot, but to walk up to find it was a bit tough but had fun finding it.
After spotting the track to Centenary Tower, I wanted to do the climb and check it out. A few caches being up here was a complete bonus. I made the short walk from the tower and collected this cache. It seems a little exposed, but I replaced it as found. Thanks!
Found this with gridge98 during a lovely weekend away in Mount Gambier. We were here this weekend to celebrate Dan's 500th Parkrun. Thanks for the cache!
We came up this steep hill today to complete the virtual at the tower, this cache was nearby so made our way over to find it, great to see this oldie still going here. Today after attending parkrun in Mount Gambier for Morgo the Geos 500th run, courtneyrose_ and I found a few caches around town before heading out with Morgo the Geo to check out the Tantanoola caves and find a few caches in the areaThanks for the cache
Steep walk up the hill and jelly legs down the other to find it. Thanks for the cache.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on. SA caching foray. Staying in Mount Gambier for a week to grab some of the local hides. Its been sixteen years since since we were last here so enjoying the re-visit. Love the country road caching .Thanks for the hideLNCU
We are travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are in Beautiful Mt Gambier for a few days, soaking up the amazing things this area has to offer. We especially love the bush, back roads, and the wild southern seas. TFTC LNCU.
This geocache has been replaced and an active member of the local community, hevwalker, has offered to do ongoing maintenance. Team Piggy is no longer active however this is an old and very significant geocache in this area....... and thus worthy of its continuation.

Track is now open. SPent over 1 hour looking for the cache and systematically, but lots of trees have fallen, high grass and generally very tough!

I cached with minniek, Albida33, Fitzy_1965, Sol de Lune after the Rutherglen Mega Event. We had travelled to Mt Gambier on various routes and joined up here to grab a variety of caches. All logs were signed MAFFS except for the rebels who signed FAMSS. TFTC Team Piggy
Day 7 of our loop through Vic and SA then home.
Today was our first day caching with albida, Sol de lune & smittengranny. We signed as MAFSS to save room. Some of us may have rebelled and signed FAMSS instead. It was a bit dreary and windy but we didn’t get too wet.
The aim was to collect a couple of counties, old caches to finish my Ausmer calendar, and just to have fun.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

30,549. Found with minniek, albida33, Sol de lune, smittengranny (signing either as FAMSS or MAFSS to save room and just for fun). After the hordes around Rutherglen it was good to drop down to a group of 5.
Rutherglen Mega and South Australia Trip Day 7. Today we had a full day to explore around the Mt Gambier region, with a few older caches targeted plus many others on our list. We started heading along the south coast which was spectacular to see, then back to Mt Gambier. We saw that Domsky had replaced this, so we made a quick grab while up here. Signed, replaced, then we headed off to the next one on our list.
Thanks Team Piggy !!

Southern Autumn adventure Day 8. Post Mega South East SA trip Day 2. After a driving day yesterday to wrap up the mega weekend, today was a trip from Mount Gambier down to the southern coast line with Sol de Lune, Smitten Granny, Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and me (albida33). F.A.M.S.S was the initial in the logs today. Our goal in this region was to visit the two old caches out this way and a few others that are nearly as old. We also managed about ten Earth caches and even went for a walk or two. We ended the day with caching and LABs around Mount Gambier before retiring for a home cooked meal at the caravan park.
Having hiked up this hill and admired the views at the tower, we could not skip visiting this old cache. It seemes to be disabled, but is currently in great condition and should be re-activated.
Thanks for the cache Team Piggy

Headed to Mount Gambier after the Rutherglen Mega with fitzy_1965, Albida33, Minniek, and Smittengranny. We signed all logs as FAMSS.
We targeted a few older caches, a few multi's, a few puzzles always as well as a couple of earthcaches.......and really anything else we had time for.
We knew this one was disabled, however having hiked up for the virtual, we took the extra short walked and signed this one.
Thanks Team Piggy....cache is still all good.

In the spirit of keeping this old hide alive, and knowing it is currently missing, we came to GZ today with a proper replacement container.
The view here is outstanding!
We have replaced it in accordance with the hint.
Thanks

### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###
----------
Hi there Team Piggy,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ). Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers are not mind readers (unfortunately), so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, you have been in hospital, the area is in flood, or some other reason that has prevented attending to the cache, they can't tell what is going on.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD).

We weren't able to locate this one which was a shame as it is so old. More of a shame as to the probable reason it was missing. Hopefully next time.
Have a good search, but it’s not here…in fact, after that fire there’s barely anything left here…
It was a bit slippery going down the hill, but found the cache in it's hiding spot. It was a case of deja vu as it all seemed familiar and I am sure that we found this cache many years ago when we first visited Mount Gambier, but it we did find it, we didn't log it, so am making sure that it gets logged this time. Great to find a cache that has stood the test of time. TFTC
After falling down the hill, to get this one, really cool find, found Percy too, thanks for the cache.
Found after a very steep hike into the pines and slippery pine needles but worth it
Great way to start the day and get the heart pumping. After a little searching cache was found with BraydsSA. TFTC TNLN SL
Found with Sparrow as we check out Mt Gambier. Lovely place. Bit of a goat trek down the hill to find cache. Cache in good condition. Under bark, under log. SL & TFTC.
A bit of a climb, pine needles a bit slippery, a hunt around the stumps and found it.
Found after a steep hike to the Centenary Tower then a ramble down the hill to one of many logs
Came along and thought we would have a look for this cache with ilook4geo while we were in the area. We finally got to the top of the hill and diverted to locate the cache. It took a little while to pinpoint and it was finally found on a very wet morning. Log was soon signed with both names and all was then replaced as it had been found. Thank you to Team Piggy for placing this cache.
Found this one after a little while by thinking "Where would I hide a cache?" This lead to the right spot and the log was soon signed as well as with goingplaces2. TFTC.
Thanks for the cache found with Webberg, who refused to give up, till the cache was in hand!!!
Wow!! We finally found it! Almost gave up about 10 times but soon enough cache was in hand. Found with Conardel on day 3 of our SE getaway

Currently working through a mountain of old drafts I had not uploaded yet and this cache was spotted on the list. Apologies for the late log.We are staying in a hotel in town and I managed to convince Mr Tenkae to attempt this old cache. Quite the trek up the hill but with an oldie, a virtual and an earthcache to be gained, it was worth the effort. Found after a short search. tftc
Headed off to the South East for a little recreation with Purrfect Di and Jack.
Plenty to do down this way, and good weather for it too.
Always nice to find an older cache, esp from a team like the piggies
Was a little slippery but not too hard to locate after a good climb to the tower.
Many thanks to Team Piggy for placing and maintaining this heaps good cache fav !!

Catching covid or gastro or anything really messes up your streaks and challenges!
Keep away from all the viral bugs ( except nice travel bugs of course )

It was a bit of a bash down to the cache GZ to grab this one after the steep climb up to the tower. The tower was shut but certainly worth the climb up for the view.

Well that was a far hike up the hill on a 30 degree day had to go just that little bit more to get this cache. The hill was a bit slippery but got there in the end. TFTC

I am spending the long weekend down on the limestone coast ahead of the Millicent Celebration event.
I left Millicent early in the morning and headed to Mount Gambier before heading down to Port MacDonnell. I was targeting Earthcaches, solved mysteries, high terrain, high difficulty and a couple of old caches.
Well that was a hell of a steep road to get up to the top. Great views though as you would expect.
Then I carefully descended down to the GZ. I spent a good 25 mins searching here. I read a couple of past logs and looked at a few photos when I recognised something at GZ from the photos. A closer inspection lead to the cache.
Thanks for the cache Team Piggy.

Found It!
A short steep walk up to some great views! I found the cache on the ground in the open so I placed it back at the base of the nearest tree (stump). Nice to find such an old cache with still the original log book! And this turned out to be my 16,000th cache find to!

Just what I needed...a lovely steep walk (not really). What better way to spend the last of me holidays than to go caching. Even the overcast/drizzly rain didn't put me off in finding this one. TFTC SL
Found during a caching trip with e.gregory1 to south-western Victoria and south-eastern South Australia for a few days. Day 1 saw us travel from Adelaide to Keith, the back-roads past Bordertown to Frances, Edenhope, Harrow, Coleraine, Wannan, Hamilton, Byaduk, Koroit and down to Warrnambool. That night we camped out behind the coastal dunes west of Warrnambool after collecting a sprinkling of local caches. On day 2 we returned to find a few caches around Tower Hill before heading through Port Fairy to Portland, spending the rest of an unpleasantly hot and windy day around Portland and camping out nearby. On day 3 we drove from Portland to Nelson with a detour to Dartmoor, then back to Ewen Ponds, Port MacDonnell, and a circuitous route up to Mt Gambier with a solid days' caching culminating in some rewarding finds around the Blue and Green Lakes. We were very lucky to locate a very pleasant campsite a few kilometres out of town in Xanthorrhoea (grass tree) mixed eucalypt woodland for the night. The final day saw us travel to Millicent to complete the SFE Challenge series, then to Kingston, Salt Creek, Meningie, Tailem Bend, Murray Bridge and return back home. All in all a very eventful and fruitful trip with some great cache finds, some easy drive-bys, challenging tree climbs, a number of strenuous walks and visits to many scenic locations. We found an assortment of traditionals, puzzles, multis, earthcaches, letterboxes and virtuals, including a rewarding first-to-find, a wide range of difficulty-terrain combinations and detours to locate some unloved caches.
Thanks for the cache Team Piggy!
Thanks for the cache Team Piggy!
I visited this cache with FeatherWaite on day 3 of a caching trip from Adelaide to south-western Victoria/south-eastern South Australia.
After a warm, but reasonable morning, the weather turned nasty with very hot and windy conditions until a cooler change very late in the afternoon. With fire and travel warnings also being received via automated SMS’, we had to alter our plans and were not able to visit a number of the caches that we had initially targeted. Nevertheless, we did manage to find a selection of traditional, multi, virtual, unknown and earthcaches.
We were keen to find a few caches in this area, so waited until quite late in the afternoon when it had cooled down significantly before we headed off. The people we encountered running around this circuit made me feel very unfit!
Thanks Team Piggy for the cache.

late log. found on the return from the 2016 mega in Victoria , after hevwalker's event nearby in Mount gamier . Nice location and views. I came down with mogni to do cache maintenance on some of her caches in Mount Gambier and surrounds. Just realized i missed logging this one and another trad due to losing all my caches in the GPS when it crashed on me.
What an awesome day for this walk! Too step for geowife but geokid and i loved the view and the find!
Great little find was our second time at look and was in front of us the whole time. Amazing views on dusk the lights from mount Gambier amazing
Traveling australia. Out exploring mount Gambier and thought we would do some caches in the area. Thanks for the cache
