I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those wonderful Geocachers who attended the 4WD caching weekend in Lexton last weekend.
What a great weekend it was, apart from the typical 3 season Victorian weather, we had a ball!
Many thanks to Biggles Bear for the jummy Olive bread and Greek Feta cheese, and I must not forget to mention the great job Peter did with the brewing of the hot spicy red wine which was brewed by him in a saucepan. (just warmed the inners greatly before the cold night set in)
I would also like to thank my passenger Muzza for his great company and wit!
Once again thanks to all the members who helped to make it such a successful weekend.Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

Spent the Saturday caching with the group. A fantastic day was had and J, trex and I had a wonderful time. Thanks goes to the organisers. A job well done. Also to Team Trex. A great effort.
Such a great event and excellent turnout. Many thanks to Pyrenees kid and Makita for all the work you put in. Would love to have camped, maybe next time.
Thanks also to Biggles Bear for letting me tag along with them, it was a great day.

Another exciting event weekend, and the variety of weather we experienced over the weekend just added to the enjoyment. It was great to have the company of KiwiDeb and half of Team Boodi for Saturday’s caching tour of the Pyrenees. Our thanks to The Pyrenees Kid, Mikita, family and friends for organising a shirt load of new caches and the fantastic location for base camp. We look forward to the next 4x4 weekend with great anticipation. Thanks also to Mr. Blobbly for organizing the ‘Dash for Cash Night Cache’. See you all at the next event.
What an absolutely fantastic day it was today. My immense thanks to Pyrenees Kid and Mikita for organising such a great day and laying all those caches. My special thanks to Mikita for being my chauffeur and for his commentary and background on the area.
Well done, guys. 10 out of 10. And it was a lovely social event to catch up on the other cachers. Thanks again.

Mary and David had a most enjoyable weekend - first time in a tent and in a 4WD for Mary. Starting with renewing caching friendships on Friday evening, and more arrivals on Saturday morning, the rest of the day was taken up with a wonderful combination of caching and 4WDing. Log fires, gums, green grass, a dawn chorus of kookaburras and magpies, and asssorted dogs large and small. What a superb effort by Pyrenees Kid, Mikita and Betty to set up the camp site shelters, place all those caches and then 'escort' the teams round the well-planned planned 4x4 course to find them. Our particular thanks to Pyrenees Kid for offering us a ride - the poor GeoCalais would have been right out of its depth on these tracks. Even the rain on Saturday evening didn't dampen everyone's enthusiasm, as we enjoyed new and old friends' company, food, wine and even a porta-loo. Huge stars, apple pie to drink, endless references to knives and cable ties, Derringer in shorts despite the cold and rain, and popcorn that didn't. Small world - Mary and Jenny lived in the same Neerim South house about thirty years apart. Just an amazing experience and we all look forward to something similar again in the future. Our thanks also to all the other teams attending for contributing to the success and enjoyment of the weekend. Well done indeed to Pyrenees Kid and Mikita, and thanks to Colin for use of the camp site.

We had a great time at this event, meeting old and new acquaintances.
The event area was not new to us but is well worth a visit for its beauty and great 4wd'ing.
Well done to Darryn and Mikita for all the work they put in.
The camp was set on a beautiful piece of land.
Hope to catch up to more cachers at the next event.

Well, I survived the weekend (despite earlier indications) and not only survived but enjoyed every minute. Many thanks to Pyrenees Kid and team Mikita for organising the event and for their hospitality. Well done.
Thanks Darryn, Mike and Betty for a great weekend of camping, four wheel driving and caching. It gave me an opportunity to get used to using my new GPS in a great setting and fun competition. Met some new Geocachers as well as catching up with others who were at the last event. Hope to catch up with you all again soon,Phil (Nutcache).

What a fantastic weekend!
Another great experience - I now know the difference between summer and winter camping!!
Thanks to Darren, Mick & Betty for all the work that went into organising this event. A brilliant location, superb shelter & fabulous fire. Very impressed with Darren's 4x4 driving skills (even though I didn't see the hardest bit!).
I had a blast and can't wait to catch up with everyone next time.

I`ll be there with my new toy, hope Ross & Mark don`t get too frustrated with a learner cacher.

I will drag myself off my death-bed to come to this event. I figure if I'm going to die, I might as well die doing something I enjoy. See you there Friday night.
NOTE TO ALL- the co-ordinates up the top are now correct and they will take you to the entrance gate. The gate will be left unlocked but it must be left closed.
Be careful, the entrance is well concealed and you cant see it until your upon it.
I will put some sort of sign oposite the gate on the other side of the road. Let all cars behind you pass before you get there.

As mentioned by Kiwideb, I will also be coming for the day. I don't know how she's going to beat me, but I expect to be arriving 15 to 30 minutes after Kiwideb. i.e. closer to 10:30. Alan-san may also join us.
Its great to see so many takers and I know of many that havent even got their names down on here.
I am posting this note to make you aware of details I will post on here this weekend concerning exact co-ordinates, the place where i will hide the gate key. I thought this is the best place to post it as so many are watching it.
