Wow....what a place...we just dont have anything on this scale back home in Australia. So big and so many headstones....
Gathered the required info and had sent e-mail through.
Didn't know much about your 12th President before today, but as his birthday (day) is the same as mine...I'm going to read up a bit more on hime when I get home.
Thanks very much for bringing me to this area......I enjoyed the history and learning about things like this......that's why I like to travel
Great cache, fav point added, and greetings from Australia....

Traveling down the interstate, and I noticed that there was a virtual not too far off the path. When I made my way to the cemetery, I realized that I had visited during GeoWoodstock but since I was only looking for certain solved puzzles, I totally overlooked this one. Took a quick walk around with Sneaky Spyder, visiting a few graves and examining President Taylor's resting place. After reading the logging requirements, I see I'm not the only virtual cache owner who has to deal with "problematic logs."
Always enjoy a good virtual. I was here today with The Fairy today while we looked for another cache.
Well done virtual and a beautiful cemetery.
Thanks
Well done virtual and a beautiful cemetery.
Thanks
Met a couple of non-cachers who are traveling around trying to visit as many presidential birth places, burials sites and libraries as they can. They said they had a lot of trouble finding the cemetary...I guess when you have GPS coordinates it is a lot easier
Very lovely place here. In found the 3 sites very interesting. Thanks for the history lessonp
Thanks for the virtual. We enjoyed the info and we also went to see his home. Very interesting!
1st of 7 virtuals today. Paid our respects, then collected the nearby information. TFTC.
Stonewaall and I are on the road headed to the Midwest Geobash when we passed this virtual cache. We made the stop and gathered the required information. Historical type caches are my favorites and this one did not disappoint. This cache also counts as one of my county finds for the 10 counties in a day challenge. Thanks for bringing us here.
DarkO Paycho (me, Odyn and psychovw) from northern Chicagoland embarked on an epic 4 day 10 state road trip to collect new states and find quality caches. This was Day 4 which took us from Lexington, KY back home to Lake County, IL.
This was another beautiful cemetery we got to see on our trip. So many graves here. We tried to get pictures of Old Rough and Ready through the window but there was a lot of glare. We gathered the information we needed, took a few more pictures and then headed on to the next cache. Answers sent on behalf of the team. TFTV!

Team DarkO Paycho (Darth Leviosa, Odyn, and myself) from northern Chicagoland is on the prowl to collect new states, oldest caches, different Earthcache types, webcams, virts, and anything of interest over 4 days. This marks the final day: a 2 state adventure through Kentucky and Indiana in the rental VW Jetta named Trixie.
This marks another instance of me wondering how I passed History class. I'll just leave it at that. I admired the soldiers grave markers. sooo many of them all perfectly lined up. Thanks for bringing us here

Visited this one while on a fantastic 4 day 10 state 2100 mile road trip with Darth Leviosa and psychovw. Our team name for the trip was DarkO Paycho. This was find 12 of 29 for the day. Thank you for the cache.
Found this with help from my son, Tonka Tyke. It is great to see history like this. I didn't even know Zachary Taylor was a president (in my defense, I am Canadian).
Now, my son is 2.5 years old. He is smart for a toddler, but has yet to learn the alphabet completely, let alone read, so he couldn't help me find the information I was looking for. He has, in the past, actually found several traditional caches, and is quite good when they are in low places that I can't reach. Surprisingly he was much more helpful here than I expected. You see, I was looking for the last piece of information, and I hunted high and low without success. All the while my son was toddling around. Suddenly he got really interested in an object and studied it intensely as toddlers are apt to do... and he eventually asked me for some help to "count" the words. Turns out this object, that I have been watching the whole time, held the information to the final piece. Good thing I brought Tonka Tyke along - otherwise I may still be out there hunting for this "elusive" object.
Thanks!
