We both looked for this one a couple of times but couldnt find anything. Superb views after small climbs here.
Mr and I are staying at Wilpena. We stopped here on a little tour to have a look around. The coordinates were a little off and its no longer a container with a blue lid. Tanks for the hide
Found it! Couldnt locate it at first but a quick read of a few previous logs had us looking at the right structure. Quick find once we knew the area to look in. #420 TFTC!
All packed up and shifting camp to Leigh Creek via Moralana Scenic drive to connect with the highway north, having walked about a third of the Heysen we couldnt resist the side track to see the finish line, cache was found after a short searchTFTC Mac & Missus
Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor, picking up caches along the way. We headed off on a round trip from Hawker to Parachilna Gorge. The scenery was absolutely stunning, we also enjoyed the old railway line all the history along the way. Thanks for the cache Ian Mac.
Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and now in the Flinders Ranges. We haven’t been further than Hawker on previous trips and are in awe of the stunning scenery. It’s not a regular but a mint tin so look carefully. Thanks Ian Mac
A great bit of organisation here. Thanks for bringing us here. I especially love the stile....climbed over many of these in England.
Found after a good look for a regular, accidentally stumbled upon the cache. Note for the next cachers: you are looking for a small

With half the team heading home via Maralinga and the AnneBeadell the other half remained in Geraldton to help out sick friends
I am travelling with Geoturtle37, micaparamedic and Papi4506 picking up any caches most of us do not have.
Because of road closure due to rain we had change our Woomera plans and head down this way, but still caching.
We were out this way to grab another cache nor too far away and then head back on our way south so this cache was both the start and finish for us, if we had walked on the trail
We looked around GZ for a few minutes before locating something that turned out to be the cache. a bit smaller than we were looking for.
We have now added our names to the log and returned every thing as it was before reading the information signs
Many thanks Ian Mac for showing us a beautiful part of the world

Working our way home from a tour at Maralinga with a group of cachers, mainly from South Australia. Now there is only Geoturtle37, Team Crackers, Micaparamedic and myself. We are having a great time, visiting new, remote locations and finding caches as we go.This isn't where we were expecting to be but very pleased we came out here. Great destination that we will certainly come back to. The cache was found once we altered our expectations re the size. Thanks for placing this cache and bringing us here.
Team Crackers, Micaparamedic, Papi4506 and I are heading back to Melbourne slowly. We are enjoying going to new places (for us anyway) and finding some caches as we go.We were loving the area and pleased to stop for another cache. We couldn't see anywhere for a cache of that size but kept looking and then "found it" rang out. We will come back when we have more time. There are more caches but the area is beautiful. Pleased to another old cache found.Great place for a cache, thank you.
TFTC. We are looking forward to getting to the end of the trail in a few years time
TFTC. Well the cache ain’t a clear plastic box with blue lid but hey it’s a great spot.
Thanks for making a trip through this beautiful part of the world that much more enjoyable. A quick find for us today.
We called in here on our way past and after a bit if searching located thd cache.

After camping the night in Parachilna Gorge we were heading to do the Blinman Pool walk. It was only after stopping here that I realised why the cache was aptly named. Maybe I will get to walk some of the Heysen Track over the next few years
Cache was quickly found then we read the information boards, well worth the stop.

We enjoyed the drive today with ilook4geo, through the Flinders Ranges with all its rugged mountains and different rock formations. This was an easy cache to find. Log was signed with both names before being put back as it had been found. Thanks go to Ian Mac for placing this cache.
Spent a very pleasant day in the Flinders Ranges with goingplaces2 and this was one of the caches we either found or completed. Learned some interesting things and enjoyed the ones that we were able to find for a smiley. TFTC.
Starting an 18km trek on the Heysen Trail and couldn't resist doing this cache. Nice easy find.

Returning to Hawker after the excellent Blinman underground mine tour. Time for a cache or two. Nice to see where the Heysen trail starts/ends. Quick find. Container has morphed into an eclipse tin. Tftc
A nice quick find as we made our way through the gorge. Nice place to stop for a picnic lunch. Thanks for the hide.
A quick find on our way through to the highway. To be clear for future visitors, this is a micro not a regular as listed. Thanks for the hide.

Camped at Parachilna Gorge for a few days during school hols and boy was it a popular place! Found this on 30/9 with family & friends on the start of our walk along the trail, but forgot to log it until 3 wks later Container is not the same as in the description, but still a good find and in good condition. TFTC.
After a day of caching around the area,The X-Trailers and I decided this area has become too civillised since we were last here over 25 yrs ago.
Enjoyed locating the cache.

Found while driving a loop through Glass Gorge and back to Blinman. A quick find. Nor a regular anymore! TFTC Ian Mac!
Found with Jac-Jam while travelling north trough the Flinders ranges. another quick find while driving through to blinman. TFTC.
Weve visited the southern end of the Heysen trail many times, so it was good to see the northern end after many years of walking parts of the trail.
Hunted around for a minute before spotting the cache tucked away out of sight. Log signed.

Great to see the northern end of the trail after walking quite a bit of the very southern end. Cache spotted and log signed.
As our campervan would get through these gravel roads here, we hired a 4WD to make theses scenic drives in the Flinders Range.
A short rest after travelling quite a time on a gravel road. The cache could be located quickly and off we went again...
Regards from Switzerland.

We were interested in seeing where the Heysen Trail finishes (or starts!) as we have been involved in building the Lavender Trail - also the brainchild of Terry Lavender who designed the Heysen Trail. He had a vision for a walking trail on the eastern side of the Mt Lofty Ranges, but sadly before it could be realised he passed away. So a dedicated band of volunteers ran with his idea and the Lavender Trail is now complete - starts (or finishes!) at Murray Bridge and ends (or starts!) at Clare. Found the cache co-ordinates a little out, might be helpful to include a hint. Thanks for placing a cache here.
Still heading westwards to the Outback Hwy from Blinman so when this cache appeared on our "radar" we decided to have another short break from the gorge road to search for this cache. I guess this location if either the start or finish of the hiking trail that traverses most of the Flinders Ranges where the other end is near Saltia not far from Port Augusta. *Some trail!* - From here via the Mawson Trail through the South Flinders Ranges, then joining with the Trezona, Yanyanna & Wilcolo Tks before becoming the Heysen Trail at Wilpena for the lengthy leg to Saltia. You would want to know where your water points are along the way, that's for sure!
