Finding it too hard to keep this cache maintained to time to archive it. Hopefully someone else might like to use the location for a new cache.
Its hard work keeping this cache alive thanks to our industrious council workers. I'll look at getting a new one in place asap.
Council seem to have done a lot of weed eating around the remains of fence which is half gone. Will look again in decent weather.
Had to go two times up here, because we forget the pen... Thanks for the Cache and showing us this beautiful view! Unfortenetly it was rainy.
15.20 - Visiting from Cairns. Here in beautiful God's end and on a round trip from Wellington around the East Cape. Found this little beauty along my route. +/-0. T4TC
The cache was missing its lid but we found and replaced it. Log is a bit damp as a result.
TFTC It was really fun as we both have been doing Geocaching with a friend, but now we have started our own account. Let JoJa1213 be known.
Nice find. The previous person to open the container had made a real pigs ear of putting the log sheet back in and couldn't even put the lid on so it was just lying to the side. All neat and tidy now.
Kids found this one today on their own, just down the road from where we are all staying. TFTC and the views.
We do a part of the Kohi Point Walkway today. It's very windy, sunny and warm. On the way back from Kohi Point Walk we do try for this one. Easy found.
We do enjoy the walk and the views very much.
Thanks CO for replace it.

Out for the day with squirrel nutcase for an assault on Geckoh territory. After doing TGC Alpha we went up the hill for this one. WOW what a view.
Found cache sitting in the open for all to see so after signing we replaced " under the end" according to the hint .
Thanks for taking us there and for the cache Spiker

Great views today on a scorching Sunday afternoon. This is the first of a series I aim to pick up as I walk the Toi today. Mount Edgcumbe, White Island, Motiti Island all visible today. Oh, and of course Whale Island. TFTC

Headed out early for a epic days caching, 12 hours and 52 caches, not to sure about the other stats about the day, but I've definiently deserved a beer.
More great views of the sea, I don't think these views are going to get old. Quick jog up the hill, a bit of a brether, then a easy find. TFTC.

Glorious view, well worth the walk even if not to log another geocache. TFTC
I was a bit surprised to find only one name on the log sheet. Then i noticed that the cache had been placed in 2003. Obviously many sheets completed in the interim. Great views. TFTC
Great walk with fantastic views here...bring your camera.
The cache was out of its hiding place in full view...we think the recent weedeating there had dislodged it but it's safe back in where we guess it should be (according to the clue). Thanks for this great cache and for taking us there.

The views from this location were stunning. Saw the cache container peeping out of its hide. The log is quite damp and needs attention. TFTC.
Needs a new log and a plastic bag to keep dry. Sorry, I didn't come equipped today or I would have done it for you.
Yaa 1st find here in amazing whakatane, and what a spot! Love it! Thank you do much. Aroha nui from the bare kiwi film crew

Found this one just on dark. Went to sign the log but discovered the pen was in the car. Decided to come back the next day. Oops didn't make it though. TFTC

Part of a 7 day adventure around the east coast with the beautiful bjarni1
Parking for this one is a bit of a mission if you park at the look out but got there in the end.
Amazing views on a sunny day.

Dominic-Aidan found it on 25 December 2010.

Thanks Mr Spiker

Thanks Mr Spiker
Just checked it, sideways rain - no coat - got soaked. Hows that for dedication. It's there. Added a hint.
On 20th November we had a look for this one then again on the 16th December, had a good look, still cannot find. Spent 40 mins for so, nice spot, please check again
Sorry guys, I forgot to check it out after the 1st DNF. It was gone, have replaced, all good now.
Dominic-Aidan 18 November 2010.
Searched for over 30 minutes and didn't find it.
Could Mr Spiker please confirm that it is still there.?

A nice walk up the stairs with amazing views. But no luck in finding the cache. We looked for a good 30-40 minutes before deciding to give up. Quite overgrown, so not sure if we just missed it, or if it is gone?
Took the stairs from the bottom, a good aerobic workout rewarded by a stunning view from GZ. TFTC.
Found it after my second attempt. Was kindly accompanied by Wanderingjock and Sefrican. On a wet day with still a nioce and crisp view out at sea, but didn't see Moko the dolphin.

Suggest you look for this one before a big pub lunch!!!! Huge climb ahead. TFTC
While the rain poured down outside, we sat in the local pub having lunch next to a lovely blazing fire. Soon as rain stopped we rushed off for an hour or two of "hunting" in Whakatane. With Nzkeko in the lead, myself and Wanderingjock headed up the stairs. What a gorgeous spot, wouild never have gone up there had I not been looking for your cache. Found quite easily, thanks for lovely spot
Second time back after muggles ruined the first atempt

Had a few false starts trying to find the accessway to this one. Eventually on the right track, and arrived at the Whale Watching spot just as a jogger reached the top and began a series of exercises right at GZ. A good ten minutes later we were able to make the find. Great views from up here, but spotted no whales today, just an island. Thanks.

Parked in a nearby place but had a lot of stairs to climb so gave up and moved the car to a closer parking spot . Had already done a lot of running and walking today, Glad to find I was actually in the right place. Great view and lovely autumn evening with no wind and amazing sunset.
Note to hunters: take some water with you, i nearly turned to dust on the stroll up the hill we put moko in aswel, fantastic veiws of the town
Finally off the list this trip. In the past we haven't been able to get our motorhome up here but we have the car today so we were good to go. We had to wait for a couple of tourists to move on but was a reasonably quick find. TFTC
at 17:04.
Some consolation for failing to get started on nearby Kohi Point.
This one was well worth the climb. Cyndi went straight to it. I don't know how but she has an instinct.
TFTC Spiker_. The cache is fine.

Realized previous mistake once found another track further up road. Very long walk from the city, time for a swim! Great views.
Neat view as the sun goes down. I tried to grab this one about a month ago but ended up having a competion with a mugle and his dog as to who could look at the view the longest. I guess he had more on his mind than I did. TFTview.
Climbed the stairs from town - what a wonderful & unusual Vertigraph! The views were terrific just at dusk. Thanks for bringing us here.
Easy find and great views of Whale Island. Good hike up from town but I don't think this is the 1.5 terrain way. TFTC
NIce hike to some awesome views. Dropped of a very small GeoCoin - Kiwi Ingot. TFTC Felix!
On the lower road and GC only 80m away took a bit to track down how to get up that cliff! but after some driving around a nice hide with a Grand view! TFTC Cheers Muzy Man!
