Haven't the time to maintain this one sorry. I didn't hear back from Bear Left regarding the Happily Ever After series, but I'll try them again if anyone still wants to chase it up.

26-Aug-08
Hate to see the old ones go, but it appears to have been a while since it was up and running.

24-Apr-08
Question to the owner - How temporary is this cache to be archived? I have decided to take up the challenge of Happily ever after or what's left of it and are being hindered by this one being unavailable. Would you be so kind as to let me know the magic words or better still let me perform some maintenance on behalf of you and re-establish the cache myself?

21-Oct-07
Sounds like the first waypoint has lost the ability to point to the final cache. Will try to fix it up soon.

21-Oct-07
I think that I found the cache but it had been muggled. Is it a clear round small plastic container with a blue plastic lid? I found it lying at GZ with the lid a few meters away. I have hidden it at GZ with a piece of paper as the log next to a plant that could be described as looking like the one in the clue. If this is wrong, please let me know and I will remove it. Could you also confirm that the co-ordinates are now for the final cache location and the shape and size of the cache. Cheers!

PLEASE help us... we are visiting Sydney and introduced our kids to the joys of caching but we CAN't FIND IT Sad
Could we have a little clue...? have been to the site yesterday and today , spent about 3 hours and found no onions!Thank you Smile

I had previously been here twice without finding the location of the final. After making a find of another nemesis cache I was riding past when I had a sudden brainwave about the where it was. I was correct and able to find the cache quickly after that. Took TB

12-May-07
We descended from our mountain fastness to the urban plain, parked the car to the sound of honking geese and set off. Hoof prints, foot prints, dog prints, bike prints – you name it, it was printed in the sandy track we followed past the electric farm. After a bit, the GPS told us we had to leave the path. Looked around and found a sub-track and continued on to the general area. Considering where we were the views weren’t too bad, nice and bushy at least.

After a short search WP1 was located – it was a tad damp (including the note) and yes the note is a bit hard to read. Nevertheless the tool was used as intended and off we toddled.

After another short search the cache was duly located. It also was a bit damp inside although we couldn’t see any obvious damage to the container. The log book in its own bag was OK and we wiped everything else dry. A pleasant spot it was to do the cache duties – we’re always more comfortable when there is little likelihood of seeing people around the GZ. We made no swaps, got the clue we were after and left the Atoyot Man TB. Thanks mind socket.

27-Apr-07
Found WP1 fine although was full of water and almost impossible to read instructions. used tool and despite exhaustive search with 3 people failed to find 2nd location. found a trashed container further down the track that looked suspiciously like it might be the 2nd box.

Razz
For some reason the wife was really keen
2 times to this spot, I have previously been
2 times I have previously failed the attempt
Why would this be any different
WP1 found by middle kid
The clue took me a while, must be stupid
You’re a bloody genius Mind socket
So now fully armed to WP2 like a rocket
Up and down and all around the place
Had a sneak peek at the clue to save some face
It helped and I was on the mark
We might just get home before dark
Thanks geowife, persistence prevails
Your mind and determination is what this cache entails.

07-Jan-07
Replaced the WP1 container and tidied up the clue note.

31-Dec-06
Found the remains of WP1, but it is suffering badly now. The tool is still in remarkably good condition, but the container lid had gome completely and while most of the not is legible, the first line peters out to nothing. I think I was able to make out the first digit of the distance, but not the second nor the direction. I searched (almost) everywhere within the 1m wide annulus, but drew a blank.
Put the remnants of WP1 in a zip lock bag and returned it to its position.

24-Oct-06
Found WP1 easly enough. Although I am not sure if it was in the correct spot as it was in the middle of a bit of a track and looked like it might had a been moved or given a knock . The plastic bag and lid are now useless, but tool and card were ok still.

I have been back twice before work looking for wp2 but no go. There are plenty of potential hiding places around but I am sure I have check each one a few times.

24-Oct-06
Went back during lunchtime, armed with a big hint from mindsocket. Will have to remember to look harder next time.

Thanks for the challange

In the never ending quest to keep young minds and legs busy during school holidays, we set off to have another go at this cache. I first attempted this cache last century (well it feels like last century) but without success. This time more hands made light work (for me).
The lads are much better at Geocaching puzzling now. Without any hesitation, the puzzle at the first waypoint was revealed. But it was the experienced old dog that found the cache at the second waypoint.
Made our swaps and signed the log. Thanks Mindsocket!

16-Apr-06
I went back to replace the cache, and found the original one! That will teach me not to take shortcuts and look in the wrong spot when doing cache checks.

The cache is alive and well. I removed a mouldy leather item and a couple of other items that had deteriorated, but there's still plenty to choose from in the swaps department. WP1 is a little worse for wear, but is hanging in there. Please be gentle with it.

27-Feb-06
Soon is in the next month, I'm just getting through some moving house busyness. Cache is ready to go back out.

31-Jul-05
I carried out a cache check on Thursday night, in the dark and hurried tradition in which this cache was placed. Many apologies to Night Watchman, who went in search of it since (did you find WP1?).

WP1 is still there, but the cache has probably vanished. I had a bit of a search around in the dark to no avail, and I'm pretty sure I looked where I remember placing it.

I'll replace it soon.

28-Jul-05
Didn't find it, even after looking within a 15 metre radius for about 1 hour.

21-Apr-05
Spent about an hour at WP1 today but couldn't find it.

11-Mar-05
There's something different about this cache now.

27-Feb-05
Worked out the coords to this a while back and made the trip today to find it. Found WP1 easily as it was sitting on the ground completely uncovered. Spent quite a while searching at the distance given but was unable to find any more coordinates or the cache. Wasn't sure if WP1 was where it was meant to be or not.

30-Aug-04
Glad you found good use of the hint, Philma. To be honest, I picked a word at random. I guess my subconscious wants to help people. :p

What a great cache! Mind Socket you are a genius, working out a cache placement site using palindromisc prime numbers would be hard enough, getting me to solve it was even harder. Got to W/1 (I chuckled to myself) it will be easy from here I thought (or will it), then all of a sudden things didn't measure up, Mind Socket pulled a beauty, frustration set in before the penny dropped, I should have used the clue correctly it was right on the mark. Thanks Mind Socket I had a great time on this cache, (I'll take back the curses I made under my breath.) Regards Philma.

Cache check. All good, go get it! Smile

28-Jul-04
Got the palindromic prime numbers worked out. Felt good that I'd learnt something new then puzzled over whether I would ever use this new knowledge ever again. I guess it's no secret that this is a multicache. Found WP1 cache ok.
A week ago I got a tear in the knee of my trousers and I knew I should have fixed it up straight away. Payment for not doing that came about when I tried to fit a big knee into a small hole. Rippp! And I had a huge windy hole in my trousers. Luckily I was able to tape it up and move onto WP2.
After all that I didn't manage to find WP2 and what I presume is the final cache. Not fussed. Sun was going down and I was running out of time. I seem to do that a lot so will have to plan my day a little better I think. Now I know where the GZ is I can bring the Geokiddies back here and let them do all the hard searching work for me. Smile

Got a day trip to Sydney on Wednesday and was looking at anything near where I will be. Love the concept and think I have the answer after wasting some work time on the net, unluckily it's not near where I will be. Oh well, hopefully another visit will coincide next to a weekend.

Finally...

I must have been blind the first couple of times I searched for WP1...

Fearing the worst, I opened WP1 to find a ##$% - Huh!

However, knowing Mind Socket too well, it soon revealed it's secret to me and I was off to find the cache soon afterwards...

Nice one Mind Socket...

23-Jan-04
My second attempt at this one and I still can't find waypoint 1... not sure what I'm doing wrong here...

What a devious, devilish dastardly delght this one. Who knows what gets plugged into the Mind Socket to produce such a challenge. Found on the second visit, thanks to Mr Socket and Mr Bear Left for some spiritual guidance on the way. Took stress fish (needed it); left glow stick to throw light into the dark & tricky crevices of MindSocket's mind. Clever!

Oh dear what a frustrating two hours combing the countryside, being pointed at by boys on bikes. Found WP1 but the instructions & helpful contents left us emptyhanded. Have no idea what methods previous searchers are referring to. Have we made an elementary error here? Definitely didn't lift any large rocks, as per instructions, but sure looked under a few. H E L P !!!!!

17-Jul-03
Third time lucky. Method three is definately the way to go to solve the WP1 puzzle.

Found WP1 in its new location easily. It had uncovered itself from its hiding spot, so We made sure it was nice and snug again before we left.

Straightforward approach to GZ and easy find.

We rue the evilness of Mindsocket.....

We ( Self and 3 of the Riblettes) wandered down to this one again this morning, We were followed down the track by one of the Flying Tigers with cub in tow. Checked the old WP1 site and noted the note. Flying Tigers found the relocated waypoint and started using method 1 to find the coords. We teamed up and I quickly found the coords and then the cache.

Swapped the EcoTeam thinggy for a stress fish.

Interesting cache

With a bit of thought, we knew exactly where WP2 would be before we even headed off. We were correct, and found it in two seconds. Did the obligatory forehead slap. Thumbs up to MindSocket for an innovative and sneaky waypoint!

We were NOT impressed with the big X marked on a rock!! SHAME! SHAME!

It was off to find Snow White after this.

11-Jul-03
Found it... sort of Razz

11-Jul-03
As promised, WP1 had been relocated to a more accurate position and other maintenance has been carried out. The new WP1 location offers the same experience with 10% less stress, and should reduce the impact on the area.

Note to future finders, no need to upturn any large rocks or disturb vegatation. If you find yourself having to do this, you're going about it the wrong way.

EcoTeam found this cache at 8:40 this morning, watch out, here they come! Smile

Well, Tigers, if you were still looking in the place you were when you ran into the Bushrats and us, you need to check your coords! (I assume you solved the puzzle OK, but check that you entered them correctly into your GPSr)

10-Jul-03
I'll tell you Smile ...

WP1 wasn't supposed to be hard to find, this was an innocent error on my part. Whilst I don't think the area that I've hidden WP1 at is terribly sensitive, being mostly rock, I will be moving WP1 tomorrow (and updating its dependencies) to better match the palprime coords. I trust the hardcore WP1 finders so far won't be too dismayed at this.

To those who have found WP1 but not yet found the cache, feel free to call me (my number is on my gc.com.au forum profile if you don't have it already) if you don't want to find WP1 all over again. The rest of the cache will effectively remain unchanged.

09-Jul-03
Well Mindsocket you've stumped me I can't find WP1, and it seems others have had trouble finding it too!! Almost every rock and stone within 10m of the GZ has been upturned by previous searching. I thought geocaching was suppose to be a green sport with minimal environmental impact? So I suppose it opens the the debate as to how well hidden a cache (or WP) should be? I'm only new to this so you tell me.

09-Jul-03
I'm with Bear Left only 7-8mtrs from GZ maybe look a bit outside the circle

06-Jul-03
Papa Bear finally found a use for the Basic interpreter on his Palm; calculating palindromic primes!
We wandered along a path past some powerful views, then saw Miss Bushrat sunning herself on a rock, with parent Bushrats getting frustrated nearby after about an hour's searching.
With more satellites visible than we knew what to do with, all our GPSr screens (eTrex and Meridian) pointed to the same spot, give or take a metre. After we widened the searched and employed the EcoNic method (Anne Bushrat had to this, as she's the blondest of us), we found WP1 about 6-7m from where we thought GZ was. (Take that as a hint!)
After another lengthy search, we finally gave in and Papa Bear called DwarfSocket for a clue. A suitably cryptic clue was given, and fairly quickly decoded, and the cache was found pretty well where it ought to be (by Anne again.)

We all agreed that we hated MindSocket, but with a sneaking admiration for his sneakiness...

06-Jul-03
Spent about 45 minutes looking for WP1 taking into account Bear Lefts hint of 6-7 mtrs from ground zero (which I have to agree with)and the note that mindsocket gave about the broken rock.

Once the waypoint was located, I then had to content with a Mindsocket puzzle, it was the third method I used to solve the puzzle that revealed the answer and off I went after my first Dwarf. The final point revealed itself very quicly and I headed off to meet Snow White.

Swapped a Glow Stick for a G-Clamp

05-Jul-03
Once again, one of dwarfsockets devious caches has foile my attempts. Although, having read the other logs below... i fear that some earthmoving eqipment must be standard issie with eiter eco-team or the riblits, as ther was a rather large ammount of broken rock near Ground zero.

after checking all the most obvious spots, other than under the pile of broken rocks ( too heavy to lift) gave up , frustrated again.

maybe another time.

Our eTrex was well within the usual 5m radius for WP1. The trick was of course that we were all too smart for our own good, it turned out to be so incredibly simple that we just didn't think of it!

The evil WP2 had us beat though. Good to see that BearLeft had to call in for a clue, we were thinking of checking ourselves into therepy. Pretty please Mr DwarfSocket, may we have the clue too? Very Happy

Couldn't find the 1st waypoint although others where obviously nearby looking for the 2nd? We'll try another day!

Giggle Smile

Could the finders of WP1 pls contact me with their thoughts on any inaccuracies with the coords. Alternatively, feel free to post an offset if you think it will help. I averaged at GZ for around 15 mins and got within 60cm (according to GPS), and returned 20 mins later where I averaged to less than 2m.

The large broken sandstone is fairly close. It got that way around midnight on Thursday night. Mind Socket and KitPie were most surprised to have the ground disappear from beneath them. Smile

05-Jul-03
I am severely out of practice at this geocaching lark... Tried to find the first waypoint at the Prime location today, but after about 1.5 hours searching and managing to stab myself in the arm on a branch I had to give up the search...
If you're looking here in the near future, don't follow the drops of blood as I obviously didn't have a clue where to look...
Another time MS...

We were hoping to knock this one over fairly quickly so we could head of to Snow White. But alas, we were foiled by DwarfSocket who has turned evil!
Searched for about 45min at GZ before Ribit and the Riblettes turned up to lend a hand. It took another half an hour before EcoNic stumbled upon the waypoint. We thought we had it then, with an hour of light left, but no such luck. We watched the sun set over the mountains and headed off with our dwarf tails between our legs.
We will be back with extra dwarf like cache hunting tools.

Revenge will be extracted when DrawfSocket attempts Bugger!

04-Jul-03
Found this with Bear Left after at least 3 hours of searching. Took the Air travel bug. Very sneaky Mindsocket! Bear Left rewarded us with Doc, who is now in pride of place on the mantelpiece next to our flying ducks.

04-Jul-03
After picking up the Riblettes and armed with notes for 3 caches I headed for an afternoon's caching. On arriving in the area we saw 2 people wandering around GZ - they turned out to be EcoTeam. We joined them in the hunt for the elusive waypoint. 30 mins or so later EcoNic tripped over the waypoint. We thought we had it with time for a quick run to nearby caches but that was without adding the twisted mindsocket to the equation. All attempts at making the waypoint give up its secret failed and with the sun setting we headed out of the area with nought but a start point for the next visit.

There's some Air in there, and a chair as well.

Ok, no chair, but the 5th Element Air TB is ripe for the picking
