A nice easy find for Anna the reporter. I think she might be about to get hooked on the sport.

Lovely location on a gorgeous day, no problems finding the cache. Took a tealight candle, left a Hoyts (Dunedin) discount voucher. I loved Oamaru's Old Town, and I'm a bit ashamed I knew nothing about it!
- BLT (Bob, Linda and Tim)
- BLT (Bob, Linda and Tim)
Lovely gardens and the small steam train was running today as an added bonus. + seasons greetings, - monster finger puppet.
Fourth cache of five finds on our "Oamaru Day Trip"
along with Cameron, Tyleigh and our ever-present Pippi.
Just Sir Rick and Pippi this cache, as the kids were having a splash in the Aquatic Centre, nearby.
Lovely spot.
There was a friendly young bunny rabbit sitting on the lower lawn when we were heading down to the wharf. Later on, after they'd had their swim, I brought the rest down to see this lovely spot. - - The bunny was there once again.
I took the "Polish Currency"
I left a rubber scary monster from Loco364
Cheers.

We were so close after finding Agent 86, that it was a fairly easy decision to take another little stroll. Last for the day, and an easy find.
TNLN, Thanks, Mike.

That's funny. It moved! Last time I was here, I was looking at the other end of the park!
When we arrived, the GPS was telling me to look in the creek. I looked in the obvious place, and there it was. After THAT, the GPS agreed... TNLN, thanks.

Wow what lovely gardens.
I have never before expolored Oamaru given that we live only an hour and a half away. Now that we have done a few caches it has introduced us to this fine town.
Thanks Bitsprayer.

Hey Bitsprayer,
I have found an old version of this cache, it was open and weeping on a street corner. I have the container and a barely salvageable water soaked log book... would you like it? it has lots of logs in it. I am in Oamaru so am happy to get it to you. I am tigerlillies relation.
Cheers for all the caches.

Came to Oamaru on a lovely day for some caching and this is number 4 cache.
What a lovely little garden. One of the flowers was smelling sweetly but we couldn't detirmine which it was. It was some thoughtful to have a seat nearby in order to fill out the log in comfort.

took nothing
Thanks for the cache

No muggles today as it was getting a wee bit late in the afternoon and it was chilly. WHat a wonderful improvement to this area since we lived here. Took smiley face and left pink car taken from Prestons Hill cache.
Thanks Bitsprayer at least it hasn;t been muggled again yet. We were first to find version 3. Hopeful it will stay around for a lot longer this time
Cheers

Lovely spot!
We've been here many times to eat fish n chips, icecreams or to feed the ducks, never knowing that there was a cache hidden here.
The original bear brooch was swapped by a little girl, she wants it for a Christmas tree decoration (clasp broken).
Thanks BitSprayer

Well it was a lot easier to find this time I love the old part of Oamaru, but did not get any time to explore as we had to get to Dunedin (plus there were too many people round to really appreciate the architecture). Thanks Bitsprayer for keeping this cache alive.
Cheers

No one else around this time. Just as well I looked at the web page before coming this time - I noted that you had changed both the coords and the clue from what you initially published!! I now know it is best to check before attempting a cache.
This was just a short way from the B&B we were staying at in Oamaru, and a very pleasant place it is, too.
Mama Bear walked right up to it and composed the ode.

Nice area here. The old harbour is also quite interesting. We found the cache with the hint easy. Without the hint, it would be very difficult. Thanks Bitsprayer for this and the other caches, that shows us some interesting places of this part of NZ

After being frustrated by park sitters on the 12th Feb returned early this morning. Could not find.
Identified the cache site but had to return later when there was nobody near-by (someone should shoot those ducks - or the people who feed them!!)

Took- Plastic spoon

On a work trip down to Dunedin thought I would take detour number 4 and detour 8 on the return. The first time round I waited for about 15min but a couple of mothers and kids were feeding the ducks. On my return I had about 10min of hunting time, but even with the clue I could not find it, and then when a couple turned up I decided that it was not going to happen. Great location, I have never been to the old part of Oamaru. I am looking forward to returning.
Cheers

Nice spot, very public and had to wait till the coast was clear. Trunky Travel Bug visited with us en route to Moeraki - see photo attached. added notebook and pen which were missing (later found at Mill Dam - could someone please deliver), took paper clips, added 2 tea candles. Nice spot, a lot of work done by the local population to clean it up.

Stopped on the way home from Dunedin. Great spring day although rain was not too far away. Interesting corner of Oamaru with history all around.

Drove down after work and decided to look for this one straight away. Found it after a bit of searching - our torches were fairly weak!
There were some eerie sounds all around - the penguins were in full chorus. We sighted one penguin under a bush right out the front, just a metre from the road.
We went back in the morning to take photos and found that the whole area was invaded by workers tidying up the gardens. They were cutting everything back and clearing undergrowth. It might pay to check the cache soon as there was no way we could look with a dozen people around us!
Left a tape measure and took the possum keyring.
Thanks for an interesting evening

There were people around feeding the ducks, so I decided to use the hint. The tide was high and the jetty was submerged under more that six inches of water. It's an interesting part of town. No exchanges made. Cheers, Donovan.
We had our lunch just up the road, when I hit the nearest caches button I was rapt to see this was only 600m away.
Ruth found it without the clue, nil trade.
We loved the old building next door.
Cheers, Steve and Ruth
