I think you will find it is still there....!!
I think you will find it is still there....!!
After visiting the Sugarloaf we tried to do this one but no luck as gpsr was pointing 15 metres off the boardwalk.
Like the Pack of Sullies, our GPSr was pointing up into the 'no go' area. Wasn't too keen to go there. Ended up leaving it. Will keep an eye on this one.
The show was cancelled! The GPS wanted to usher us 13m off the board walk up the hill. Because of this I called it curtains and left it right there as I figured it would contravene the Geo/ conservation ethos. I would like to know where this one actually is though.
GPS was pointing up the hill which is a no go area according to the signs. Search the areas that seemed obvious but no luck.
Lovely spot, thanks for taking me there.
Only one gang member today, the addicted one!
Nice easy find, previous logs were right, think like a cacher.
Left 36ers keyring, took F.001 TB.

Found by Tom while completing his hike for his Grey Wolf award, with Kate from Wara Cub pack and ex Wara cubs (now Somerton Park Sea Scouts) Hayden, Courtney and Gemma. Left a Happy Valley Scout Group badge. Thanks HardUnits!
Very easy to find after we used the correct coordinates. Picturesque spot. This is our third find and we are enjoying the challenge.
At the start of a terrific coastal walk, incorporating 'Staircase' and 'Another day at the office', we had tried this one previously after dark, but this time with the corrected coords and the daylight it was no problem. The windy, damp conditions helped keep the muggles at bay.

We just kept on looking in wider & wider circles. At one point the new co-ords pointed to the same place as the original ones. Success came eventually.
Even the updated coordinates had us up the hill a bit here. My advice is to get within 20m or so of GZ and then 'think like a cacher' and look there. You will be surprised how often this works!

We found it after alot of searching. Lost track of the time. Enjoyed the location. Children had fun looking and then a greater thrill to find the cache. My son choose to take the 'Wooden Top' and left a large 'Bull Dog Clip'. (this was our second find!)
Down this way after work, so thought we'd give it another look. Had some updated coords, but still spent ages looking around. Decided to sit down and check the notes through one last time before giving up, and there it was, looking at me. Started to think this had been muggled. Left a wooden spinning top, took an RCA adaptor. Thanks HardUnits.
Well what do you know? Another couple of cachers who haven't read the logs. Only looked at one other cache in the area, so we'll get it next time.
Ive never been to this area before, but have been keen to visit for a while. I will come back sometime to explore more of the area. Probably not the best day to try this one - on a long weekend and a perfectly sunny day. Muggles everywhere!! Started looking using the orig coordinates, & was in the middle of nowhere. Then realised I had written down the updated coordinates which were much more spot on. Just had to wait for muggles walking past every few minutes so I could retrieve it. Took ghekko, left fish sticker.
Found after quite a lengthy search OFF the path! Would've been really easy to find for anyone who was walking only one metre from path! I agree with Waterlogged that those co-ords point up the hill! Anyways... Took TB left Patch
Had to do some house keeping with TBs so thought I better go find this one so I could drop off a TB that I brought back from the UK, he's trying to get to Sydney and then on to more exciting places.
I found my GPSr was still pointing me up the hill about 10-15m away from where I found it. Definitely is closer to the path than that.
Took Nemo TB
Left Jack Tar TB

We have enjoyed finding many caches around Adelaide and some of the micros have been challenging, however this cache is what caching is all about and I have put it on my recommended caches to do list.
After completing another cache close by we put on our windproof jackets and headed off in search of this cache.
Arriving at the GZ we had an idea where it may be hidden and after a short search the cache was found.
Many thanks HardUnits for the cache and the lesson in the history of this area and our planet.

Our very first find!! We have just got our GPS and decided to give it a try. It was like we won X-Lotto when we found it. Sat down and had a drink & bannana as a couple went past - this is great fun!!
PS Thanks for the revised co-ordinates, made it much easier with a four Y.O.

Found it, but something really needs to be done about the co-ordinates for this one.
Initially I was walking where I most probably should not have been.
A trip back to the car and fire up the laptop to read hints and previous logs etc. told me the sad story.
Cache not at the given GZ.
So a short walk back, and yes I found it.
Left Nemo, the little clown fish who is trying to get to the Great Barrier Reef. At least he can see the sea from here.

10th of 12 caches found before 10am.
Second attempt at this one. Last attempt was with Wara Cub Pack in tow, on a hike for their world conservation badge. They were keen to help me find it and log their first ever find, but the coordinates were too far out and we didn't have the clues or logs, and time was running out... Akela was waiting for us back at the car park!
Returned for a more thorough look today without the pressure of 16 pairs of young eyes saying "have you found it yet?". Still took a bit of a search, coordinates were at least 20m out still. But we knew looking in likely spots would eventually lead us to it, and it did!

Well, the clue did everything it promised it would. We'll be back now that we've come across the corrected co-ords in the logs. It was an extremely thorough search of the GZ too, but now we've got the right numbers we'll get it all right.
Found on a beautiful day. Blue sea, views to the north and south were lovely. As per previous Geocachers GPS stated uphill. Chose to look at the obvious and found it just prior to some muggles. Took beetle and left car. Thanks HardUnits.
Found after a bit of a search on a beautiful sunny Autumn day. Took Dino, left Bug. Cheers.
Do not go up the hill for this one. this is a fragile enviroment and does not need to be trampled. The co-ordinates are not exact and you can access it from the obvious path.

Fantastic day for a walk in the park. GPSr said cache was in a lot less accessable spot, but I tried the obvious spot, and there it was. Took nothing left a Barbie locket.
Thanks HardUnits
Thanks HardUnits
great spot the gps was way off but i used logic, this is not the sort of place u should be walking all over so checked the obvious spot and there it was.
swapd a spider man pez holder for a dog. left tb mustang on the move.

This one took some lookin. Visited a little while ago when doing the sugarloaf earthcache and searched for about 45 mins. around the posted coordinates. Got home and looked at the logs only to discover there was another, more accurate set, Doh! Returned today in the bright sunshine and it was in my hands within minutes. Took a motorbike and left a lizard. Also picked-up Code key TB. Cheers
A nice walk on a warm day with the breeze blowing.
Luckily i noticed the new co-ordinates and read the notes otherwise i could have been there for a while.
Not a bad effort, 2/3 for today. Wanted to do more but ran out of time.

Last of three caches this afternoon (other caches being: Amongst The Wattle, The Sugarloaf Earthcache).
Found 28/12/04 (28th December) @ 5:05pm by Paul & Howard (Team Stargazer). A short walk along the boardwalk from The Sugarloaf Earthcache with the corrected coords found us literally standing on top of The Hallet Theatre in the end. Stopped along the way to read the many information boards ... what an interesting area this is! [^]
Took: Motor bike
Left: Red whale (should feel quite at home here)
Also left the "Code Key" TB for TeamLangy's "Unlock the Mystery" cache.
Out thanks to the HardUnits

as good if not better than any scenery we have ever seen at a theatre!
awesome natural beauty!
the revised coords are a must, they not only are spot on, but they also eliminate the need to tromp through bush.

Wow HardUnits, this is (for me) probably your best one yet. The cache was definitely an aside to the area it was located in. Spent a long time wandering the landscape. It was a pleasant change to have informative information provided and I loved the Sugarloaf and the rock formations along the shoreline. Oh, yeah, there’s a cache here as well The swap I had wouldn’t fit in so TNLN. Thanks again guys

We found the treasure at 7PM. Left a marble, and took a "collectable my little pony" with a keyring on it.
Quite easy to find and a nice walk after school.

Our second attempt at this one - this time with Freddo's revised coordinates (reproduced here as well). An easy find with the correct coordinates and a fantastic location. Love the coastal boardwalk!
Took Winnie the pooh, left Odie.

This coastal walk is fantastic...just think - wouldn't have visited if it wasn't for geocaching!! Second visit to these parts and I'm lovn'it . Found the cache, logged the find but had trouble adding to the contents...it was jam packed full of stuff. Now off to walk some more Thanks HardUnits. Cheers, Rav 4 Raiders
Found cache at 11:40am as sea-fog was rolling in. Beautiful but eerie - unlike yesterday's sunny weather.
Excellent cache location (thanks HardUnits). Found the cache with no trouble at all - and no prickly bushes like yesterday's fruitless search - will be returning to enjoy the views and walking trails.
Took: Coopers Sparkling Ale beer coaster and English 1066 doll.
Left: 2 motorbikes

Spent time in the prickly bushes (about 20 min.) Got back to the car and read the logged finds and reference to correct coords from Freddo. Of course did not have hard copy of Freddo's coords. Beautiful sunny day with lovely sea breeze. Will be back very soon with he correct location in my GPSr!!!!
Found this one easily using good ol’ Freddo’s coords. Since I visited here last time (see log), the new board walk near the entrance has been put in. Great job. Looks like the same contractors as “StairWay†nearby cache did the job. I wonder if they did the entire costal walk path?? Left English Doll and took India Doll. Clear skies, John.
2nd try lucky, a lot easier with the revised coordinates! After waiting for some cycling sightseers to move on found it pretty quickly. Took a carabiniere keyring and left an American Indian figure. Thanks HU.
Read the logs when I arrived at this location and realised I didn't have the page with the updated co-ordinates. Looked for 10 mins but no luck. Oh well I'll be back in a year or so.
So till then.
So till then.
Found this one tonight on our second visit (this time using Freddo's revised co-ordinates, which appear to be spot on.) A beautiful spot, especially at sunset (5:50pm)when we picked this one up. Managed to grab it without being seen by anyone (apart from a little hawk who was perched nearby.) [8)]

Team Raider - Mike & Emma @ 1400hrs
Not a wet or windy day today (Easter Monday) was lovely and sunny, boats on the water, family picnics going on nearby...
Parked at the surf club, know this area... Friend lives in a house on this street and has for over 25 years wonderful views he's enjoyed...
A good walk on the post surgery knees and we were there...
Sent Emma to go searching and she came up trumps!
T: 50 francs

Found it on our second attempt. Freddo's coords and the trusty Map330 took us to within 1 metre.
A pleasant walk from the surf life saving club - recommended starting point if you have young children. Great views onto the boats and fishermen
Elliot (2) grabbed the $2.00 coin - the most money he has had in his life
Jack (5) took a lizard
We left piglet and pooh toys

Found by ThomasS, MattS, Nelson, Alaska and Sue. Took some time to find! But great spot! Nice views and fun beach also. Kids went crab hunting after cache hunting. Took Pins and travel bug and left $2 and a pencil. Thanks HardUnits for a great cache.
Found it this time! Went home and read the logs: thanks Freddo for the new coordinates.
Failed to find it - looked under a lot of little prickly bushes. Beautiful view though.
Found without too much trouble. Great area - one we have always liked coming too especially on a beautiful summer day like today. Enjoyed the views. Left German Beer Drinking TB and took Aussie Flags. Thanks HardUnits.
Got it! Freddo's coordinates helped a lot. GPS tried to send me off the cliff!
Took the frog, left a Terminator.
Thanks HardUnits and Freddo.

Happy chance at the picnic found us discussing this cache with the well breakfasted units. They supplied us with the essential clue.
Went back this afternoon and found the box. It is about 22m out from the revised cache cords. I have posted some more useful data. I think. This time I didn't have to deal with the spiky bushes.
The book was empty. This is a shock. Did that happen with the revision.
All I can say is >. Excellent spot for a cache. Absolutely glorious in the sun.
Remember Doug dug this place.

Spent a half an hour or so looking in lots of spots on the slope. Had at least two solid GZ's about 8m apart. Typical steep slope stuff. Not sure what was correct in the end.
Checked the area pretty thoughly. There was a couple of holes that looked obvious but no cigar. Is it still there?
Put on my geologist/botanist disguise to fool the rubber neckers.

This time the cops got called! Not about us, but because there was a report of a crazy guy wandering around the area. We decided to call it a night..
[Second trip. Spent half an hour looking this time, with excellent satellite lock and only two walkers to dodge. Found a *perfect* place to hide a cache ](largish rabbit hole with two entrances)[ about 15m from the GZ, but sustained prodding with a bike pump turned up nothing. Freaky coincidence, or missing cache? The only other thing I can find here is an abundance of spiky bushes that are all identical. I'll be back.]
Looked high and low, but mainly high on the slope. Used 2 GPSsss and had a good GZ from both. No luck with 3 searching. Will look for another day. Slightly worried where I was looking as it was off track.
clear skies, TeamAstro

I took the wrong path and had to cut across the grass to get there. Interesting sugerloaf nearby. Mini skip took the ferrari car and left eraser and Winnie the pooh pen. Thankyou Hardunits.
Tried three HU caches today and this is the only 1 we got. Amazing views from here. TNLN. Thanks Hardunits.
Found by Mary & David at 1110. This cache brings us to a couple of caching milestones - our 10th HardUnits cache, and our 700th overall! Wonderful views of such a range of amazing scenery. Signs on the track claim world significance for this geological area, and we can now see why. Felt a bit guilty about leaving the track, and we had to pose with the camera several times until some walkers passed out of sight. Took key ring, left nail polish. The hillside is still very wet after all the recent rain, and after only a few visits, a noticeable trail is developing, and the hillside soil has slipped in one or two places at GZ. We'd agree that this cache might be better off in a less-sensitive spot in the Park. Even so, our thanks to HardUnits for showing us this fascinating area.
Found by Barry and Beryl at 2.10
We are a bit worried about the location of this cache as this is a very sensitive area.
Took Corqy TB and Common Sense Book, Left Gold Aussie Key Ring and a yellow car

So early in the morning I didn't feel like going to the theatre but did have some time to get some sugarloaf for breakfast [|)].
Just last weekend I was looking at maps of the geological wonder park, but was a little worried about venturing too far from the paths. Please tread lightly while making any detours.
Left TB549 Corqy in cache for someone else to pickup as I have already carried it a few times. Was going to leave TB62E8 All American Bear but no room .
