04/04/11 I had a good look for this on & could not find it.
odlids I think you need to get out there & see if it is still there or maybe it has fallen into a biger hole ot muggled.
I have searched just about every rock hole in the location or is it in a tree?

04/04/11 This one has been gone for some time now I thin this one needs to be looked at.
O.K, time to put this one to sleep.
It's a lovely spot but it really is in a DECC controlled area, so it is time to be grandfathered out. A big thanks for those who have helped manitain this one over the years.
The cache is dead, long live the cache.
Cheers

Unable to find this one three of us spent about half a hour looking.Iphone and Garmin had us looking in the same spot. We think this one has been muggled. (needs maintenance)
Like the two previous cachers we spent sometime looking and couldn't come up with the goods. The cache is either toooo well hidden, or it has walked. Needs checking.
[GPS said I was within 3m @ one point. Looked under rocks & bottles.] No sign of recent activity so perhaps on the top of the "hill" is miles off track? [I think I'd better stay away from any cache with 3 or mare stars of difficulty.]
'Not found' with dmavard.
Searched high and low, in every crevice, nook, crannie, tree hole, .... we really didn't want to give up but after a full day of driving yesterday, a morning of scuba diving (the first time for me), and an afternoon of walking/scrambling around the cliffs and hills we were absolutely shattered and I don't think we could've stayed standing much longer.

Two of us searched many possible hiding places for about half an hour but to no avail. The day was very overcast and we thought maybe we were at the wrong elevation so tried nearer the beach but still no luck.
Great place and great find on boxing day. iPhone gps took me right to location and we had the treasure within a minute. Lots of hiding places though, must have got lucky. This area is always amazing!

Found after quite a bit of searching in another truly beatiful spot. No wonder so many people move to the mid-north coast in retirement. Met a nice, elderly, local muggle on the way out who asked what we were doing. Being a terrible liar, had to explain to him what geocaching is about (without disclosing the location of the cache). Hopefully made a new convert.
6:15am. Beautiful spot here. And so many roos.
Took Mr Burns and left a red Car.
Also dropped off Teddy Bear TB.

I hadn't been out to Little Bay for many years, and was delighted to visit this beautiful little spot again.
The cache did take a bit of finding, as it had slid a bit further into a crevice and wasn't visible. I had to reach into the crevice blindly, with nothing but hope for a guide. I had already had a glance at the location before spending a further 20mins looking elsewhere. I just loved the rainforest plants growing so close to the sea. Stags, figs and even a hidden Birdsnest fern made this cache even more enjoyable.
Took a Mr Burns and left a "Sol de Lune" Pathtag.

Disappointed that we didn't find it. Only new to geocaching, so maybe our coordinates were a bit out or maybe it's flown out to sea??? Was very windy and rough surf, but a lovely view and still good fun. Geomum doesn't enjoy heights, so this was a challenge for her at times!
FlyingPigSquadron was not cleared for landing! A long hard look in a really magic little hideaway failed to reveal the "little cache" but we enjoyed trying. TFTH&C
We did search, and looked at the hint, but being "out-of-towners" we had no idea what the hint meant. But we don't mind - thank you for directing us to this fantastic location.
This is a really beautiful spot. The spring flowers were out, the view is great and I had the place virtually to myself.
It took me about an hour to find the cache. There was no way I was giving up after driving 60km to get here. There are a very large number of little holes to look in when searching 150 square metres of headland. My GPSr had GZ about 7m from its actual location, but I think the fault lies with my receiver rather than the co-ordinates.
I removed a few beer bottles and coke cans, each of which I fleetingly thought was the cache. I also grabbed the Bug Boy TB and will take to an event in Port Stephens next weekend.

What a beautiful spot! Unfortunately, I couldn't find the cache, but that's mainly because my search time was artificially limited by the requirements of a cranky 3 year old (who didn't come climbing with me, BTW). I'll return, and search again some time without so much "assistance"
My wife had not been to South West Rocks before so while we were staying at Port Maquaire, we took a day trip up, visted the Goal etc. Ducked round to this nice spot to find the cache. It was not very far from the car, so left the wife, while I went off to find the cache. After half a hour I gave up, too may potential hiding spots and the GPS was jumping around too much due to cloud cover. My wife was quite pissed off by the time I got back "you took so long I didnt know if you had fallen off a cliff" Anyway thanks for bringing me to this nice spot.
We had a whole group of us - we are over here from Mississippi, USA visiting my parents. We also had my sister and brother-in-law, and their two kids, and a cousin from Bathurst. I managed to get my 12 year olf nephew hooked on geocaching, and Tavis was so excited when he found the cache.
Thanks for having the cache in a lovely location - we stopped in the picnic area for lunch afterwards.

SixStars found this one on an eating tour of the mid north coast. There is definitely an easy way and a hard way. I went in the hard way and withdrew via the easy way! Isn't it always the case? Thanks for taking us to such a great spot. Took nothing, left a star.
Found @ 1415.
One of the four caches I found whilst on holiday at my Mum's farm in Congarinni. My wife and I came down here to scuba dive the famous Fish Rock Cave and spent some time swimming at this great little cove afterward. I made the short scramble to GZ and had the cache in hand after a short search.

Had a fun rock scramble trying to get to GZ. A couple of the team attempted to approach from underneath and found the cave from the beach side and had a bit of an explore. Cheers Gav [3308]
Great little place and had the ambienece of a special private little spot only for those "in the know". A very relaxing and peaceful place.

Team GPS.org.nz Cache Raid: Little cache for a little secluded beach. Quite popular though. Especially for hoons who left so much broken glass around three days ago that council had to put up warning signs. T4TC, M@
I tried approaching this one from the seacave that runs under the hill while the rest of our crew tried from the top. TFTC
Wow, what a great location. I have been to Trial Bay before, but no to this lovely beach and headland.
GPS Co-Ords were spot on and had the cache in hand in no time. I like this type of cache, a short walk, great location and well hidden.

After a FTF at the Wids Club I went came over to here to find this cache. However, with only thongs on I was not too well prepared for the scramble. GPS couldn't get me any closer than 4m which may well have been on the other side of the cliff. Attacked it from the beach but suspect it might be on the bolder bay side. Had a good look but was limited in time. Will be back.

Another treasure as far as a picnic area goes. We have been finding that for many of our recent caches we seem to be coming in the “back doorâ€. In this case the “back door†approach proved to be the best way. Another great location and another great hide. The satellites had the GZ 4m south east of the cache site today.

Thanks so much for placing this cache, we made some awesome experiences in the area. We had fun climbing around the rocks, searching for the cache. We would probably raise the terrain rating even more to 2,5 or 3.
On the grass surrounding the car park we saw 17 kangaroos and took a lot of pictures. We couldn't imagine that it is possible to get that close to a wild animal.

I think this one should have an higher rating than 1.5 terrain. The bull ands gave the cache away. Took small cricket ball and left NT thong Keyring and seashell TB. Thanks for the great views and the cache.
Did a couple of trips out to this one as we were staying nearby. All that was found was the remains of a box that had little cache written on blue clip, CITO. With a life line used , thanks Grahame, it was confirmed missing. The cache has been replaced with a few small swaps(all i had). Please return the cache with the rocks in front to hide it so it doesn't get muggled again.
Thanks odlids on a nice Litte Bay to visit.

Scaled the cliff and unable to find this one. Searched lots of possible hiding places to no avail. Can't have been to close, couldn't even find the bullants

On the way to the cache, I found the bloated remains for a porcupine fish.
Took a bit of searching, but was found in an obvious location. TNLN. Went for a well earned swim afterwards - before heading to the car as a big storm hit.

If anybody is closer than Taree and knows where the cache used to be, it would be handy if you could check out the area for the original cache and missing Viking TB.
Have taken a photo of the area if you want some assistance in finding the replacement cache; email Grahame Cookie.
Measured at 15 m elevation with Garmin eTrex Camo. To the west of the rocky 'clearing' under a boulder under some trees, with a rock in front to hide the blue lid.

1200 Found plastic bag with pencil, golf ball, and 80c. Then Nicholas (Fang) found just the log book, by itself. Hunted high and low for any other signs of the cache container, but could not, so emptied out most my First Aid kit (1 Litre Bipa lunch box) to make up a new cache box. If anybody finds the original box hiding away I'm sorry!
Brought a couple of TB's and coin through before replacing restocked cache. (Little Zeus, hce1xa, & Idaho 2007)
First aid items included: 15cm bandage, Treatment record form, 'bandaids', safety pins, scissors, skin marker, & alcowipes. Also left: Big4 sticker, bouncy balls, pencil sharpener, finger fright, Smokey Bear snap band, 'Life is Good' card, sudoku sheets & koala pen.
Placed under and behind a rock at the 'Maintenance coordinates' (eTrex Camo)

There was a break in the rain, so we headed out of the car... unfortunately the break in the rain didn't last & we started to get wet while we searched. I eventually looked at the clue which provided no help whatsoever as we've never done an odlids cache before. After being thoroughly drenched and spending about 30 minutes looking for it we packed it in.
It is a very nice area here... and the little cove is really hidden away... its nice to have a cache here to show it off.

We were visiting from Canberra as well and after a scramble around Laurie found the cache at 1310, took and left nothing. It's a nice scenic spot and worth the effort.
Took a LITTLE while to find this one. I let Mr Sundowner do the rumaging through the rocks and shrubs and he came up with the goods. The cache was bigger than expected not a small so it had me fooled. Thanks for another nice LITTLE spot. Went and had a look at the monument. This is a gorgeous place and who knows maybe we will be back some day. L. Telephone address book T. car
We were visiting from Canberra for a couple of days, and decided to squeeze in a few caches while we were here. Found this one fairly easily. Lovely little cache in a lovely little hole! TNLN soaked up some sunshine. Thanks “The Odlidsâ€.
Was down in South west rocks diving over the long weekend and managed to fit in a not very fruitfull hunt for some of the local caches.
Spent nearly half hour here looking for the cache in it's little hole. I found several places where I thought the cache should/could be but failed to find. Did find a remarkable amount of rubbish in amongst the rocks which detracted from teh marvelous view of the surfers below.

A lovely location and it was great to just sit and watch the waves roll in by the little cove. We did exchange items but did not record what we took and left - sorry. Thanks for showing us this great area.
Well, the cache fairies have been out and about over the weekend. Wingnut offered to do a cache check and yes the cache had gone walkies.
He has replaced it with a brand new cache. A big thankyou to Wingnut for that!! He has also advised a slight change to the co-ords.

This must be the most effort we have put into not finding a cache. We thought we looked in every nook, cranny, hole, tree, and other spots where it just couldn't be. Climbed and sweated felt like a bonifide mountain goat at the end but no luck. Hopefully will be back to try again.
Wished I'd read Team Yota's entry - I tackled this from the beach & in the face of an impending storm.
Not being a mountain goat I was completely bamboozled by this cache - well from this direction anyway. I wanted to have a crack at Smoky Cape Lighthouse before the storm hit, so no time to tackle it from further along the path.
Intended to come back later in the week, but it will have to wait until next year.

Sooooo sorry we didn't find this one. Came from Canada (for a wedding) and searched twice VERY thoroughly for the cache but no luck either time. To be honest I wondered if the cache was missing as we REALLY hunted for a long time, each visit.

We got very close to the cache but we did not want to bother Romeo and Juliette. They spend a romantic afternoon right beside where we suspected the cache to be so we left it alone.

Great location - though after two goanna meetings the cache finding was done with lots of adrenalin! Its is amazing at just how much difference a bit of elevation can do for a view! Really worth the scrabble!

After doing the cache above, and the rest of the team on the beach below, I chased after tiny little caches.
Took a few minutes to grab the goods, and a tiny little cache it is too.
Grabbed another frog fridge magnet and left some beads. Took some pics and we were on our way. Thanks for this nice spot.

Found it on a beautiful autumnal day, not long after Gaol House Rock. Once again the sea was azure and the skies cerulean. Finding GZ was a bit of a puzzle though, not like your typical Odlids puzzle cache, but puzzling nonetheless. There were two fat ladies ensconced near GZ (apologies to all those fat ladies out there) and several surfers left there gear nearby also before heading out into the impossible break coming into the cove.
Anyway a little bit of lateral thinking later and the cache was mine, with nary a witness in sight, fantastic.
The remainder of my swaps were a bit big for the container and I wasn't leaving the shot glass I got from Gaol House Rock, as I have plans for it tonight, so it was a case of TNLN except for a few pints of blood to the local mozzie population. Who said geocachers don't return anything to the local community?
Thanks for the search Odlids, is there a third finders trophy for the offing?

After retrieving Gaol House Rock, I continued along the track to this little gem. Scrambled up to GZ and hunted around all the little hidey spots for a little cache (there are many!) before stumbling on the right one. Great cache Odlids. No swaps.
Left GZ by a much easier route than I came.
Whew. A hot day. 4 caches down. Time for a swim methinks....glorious !!

My mantle piece is crowded with Oddlid first find trophies, but I can always make room for one more.
The old couple on the beach were giving us odd looks as we searched the headland, but you get that in a big job.....
Took the keyring carabiner and left a koala. (Not a real one).

As usual the first finder will be rewarded with a handcrafted, one of a kind trophy. We will post it out to the first finder (after I finish making it...!!!).
