We found I See Elephants on a nice quiet spring day, meandering through the suburbs, seeking the occasional cache. Thanks Team Crackers for hiding this cache so that we could come and enjoy ourselves
Out and about is search for a multi to fill a calendar date. Ive wanted to find this to fill a gap in my Ausmer chart as well! Only two more gaps to fill that, but one will need a trip to Newcastle. If you calculate your numbers correctly you wont make a wasted trip elsewhere. The problem was worked out and a stroll led us to the cache. We needed to replace it to a nearby location because an echidna had dug it up and exposed it. Certainly worth a favourite point.
Out cacheing cleaning up the puzzles I have solved and a few others finds along the way but this cache was on my To Do List so I got the info needed to find gz found easy just had to adjust numbers at wp 2 as there is only 1 table where it should be 2 ( looks to be new table not ones that are 20 years old like the cache) Sl thanks for the 20 year old cache
Wow! Always an amazing feeling to find a cache that is almost 20 years old.
My goal for 2023 is to try and get close to qualifying for [The Non-Traditional Calendar Challenge (GC7RCQ3)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC7RCQ3), but as someone who is almost the exact opposite of a puzzle cacher, I have been mostly finding multi-caches to fill in my calendar grid.
I have also started to work on qualifying for the [AUSmer Challenge (GC6XVTD)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC6XVTD). So I opened up Project-GC and searched to see if there were any somewhat close multi-caches that I could use to fill in one of my missing dates and that is when I saw this one.
*A November 2003 cache, perfect!*
So after work I hopped into the geomobile and headed to the posted coordinates. When I arrived I was able to park right at the posted coordinates and didn't even have to leave the geomobile to find the Moonshines establishment date.
*A fun play on words by the way.*
I then saw that Waypoint 2 was a bit to far to walk. So I hopped back into the geomobile and drove over.
*Ah ha ha, elephants I get it...*
I have actually been to this area before, just didn't know there was a multi here. I am not sure what the area looked like back in 2003, but I was only able to see one table, but that didn't lead to GZ coordinates that made sense. So I tweaked the number util I got a set of coordinates that were closer by and headed on over.
Once I got to GZ I had to check a few beacons before eventually I turned and spotted the cache.
Big thanks to [Team Crackers](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=3e759bb5-6c22-465a-adbd-913815d537ab&wid=f7f6b0f8-10f2-4f75-9ffb-9e29f60c8ece&ds=2) for keeping this cache alive for so many years! Its always so great to find these classic caches. Thanks for the fun today and TFTC.

The cache container was in good shape and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

Out on a Christmas break with sir_spectre, exploring southern Victoria grabbing lots of smilies, finding caches in LGA's and of course signing a few more challenges.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
Found after doing the nearby earthcache and trad. quick solve and find. Stopped here to get more caches in a new LGA. lunch stop.
Left with Mogni the day before Christmas to go down to Mount Gambier for Christmas Day. Then on the 27th left for Victoria. Plan A was to go to the Ottway Rangers, complete the Geo tour in Ballarat and then head to Geelong and take the Queenscliff ferry over to Sorrento then grabbing new LGA's on route to almost the New South Wales/Victoria border and the old 2001 cache near there. Also attending a community day event, a CITO and a couple of other events as well. Then head in to the high country and come back to SA in 11 days. Things didn't go to plan. Turns out that one of my almost new tyres was defective ( side wall blown out ) and blew in the ottway ranges on a narrow road in the rainforest, Drove to Melton to stay overnight and get a new tyre there, tyre machine broken and the other 5 tyre companies not open so off to geelong for a new tyre ( and some caches on the way and in geelong ) . The event we where going to attend in geelong didn't turn out, he was late by ALOT to his own event. Then to ballarat to same day since we had a b&b booked for the next few nights. Planned on getting the ferry at 1200 and ended up on the 400 pm ferry but we did attend a event and CITO in geelong. Then we drive into the rear end of a thunder storm with forecast 20 mm dropping for the next few days. Cancel the high country and change targets to letterbox D/T for fizzy grid only using letterboxes and same wirh the multi fizzy grid plus fizzy grid only using victorian caches plus any challenge caches we where near. Plus getting a few more victorian 2001 caches. And finally any caches that had 40 more more favourite points. Only got soaked to the bone for a couple of days but the water on the tracks was noticeable. On the return home tried to get the rest of the missing LGA's around the Melbourne CBD i missed in the last mega. Still a fun trip was had if not the planned one.

Another Golden oldie plus unloved multi for the day that took me back to a place
I only discovered a week ago... no selfies this time...I was on a mission before my trip home. Cache located in excellent condition log signed, cache replaced.

2003- Was when this cache was placed. AMAZING that it is still here and in such a great location. So an enormous thank you for having it still in play !!! I don't know how many times, I have taken a photo at the starting point but never followed through with it. We have been through this road a fair bit so it only seemed right that once I had the final resting place, I was OKAY then ... got it. We penciled 10/10 , previous finders were 9/9 in keeping to form true numbers, the next find should be 11/11. Great spot. Thanks again for the adventure.
What a great geocache for us to find on a sunny afternoon. First we found it difficult but once we followed coordinates it was right under our nose! Worth the drive. Found with Pitts and Sammy.
A while ago we were driving around this area and thought we'd have a go at this one.
A little bit of driving was involved but it all made sense and we were rewarded with a magnificent view for our trouble.
The cache was found in great condition.
Thanks Team Crackers for showing us this place.
Chiefton!!!

This was our last cache of the day and it was a day of multi's, think this was number 6, after getting the needed information the goose did some nice driving to get up to GZ and after a bit of a short walk we made the find of a good container.
Well this Easter I wasn't planning on caching in Victoria at all, in fact myself and Goose of Gooseandegg were meant to be at the Mega in Dayboro Queensland but with the COVID outbreak and Dayboro being in a hot zone we would have had to go into 14 days of quarantine upon our return to Tasmania.
As it turned out this was lifted before we returned but it was too big a risk to take as neither of us wanted to be away from our families for that long or put them at risk.
So we spent almost a week finding rare D/Ts we needed, wonderful old caches and a few types that are in short supply in Tassie, thanks to all the COs for the hard work put into placing these caches.
Thanks for the cache.

Last cache of the day and our 6th multi in a row. This little town was quiet except for a truck at the landscape place making a hell of a noise. Down the bottom end where we were collecting our data was peaceful.
We calculated the next WP and headed off to it in darkness. Looking at photos attached to previous logs, it seems the elephant changes his/her coat quite regularly.
A quick count here and we confirmed GZ was a bit of a walk so we locked up and headed off in the dark. SSR has his torch handy which made for an easy journey. Accurate coordinates led us to a nice container, although we took a bit of a circular route to get to it.
Thanks Team Crackers, now back to the Settlement for a steak and a couple of beers.
I was all set to go to the Dayboro Mega when a COVID outbreak stopped us dead in our tracks. The Tasmanian Govt was slow to react and open up borders again and, not wanting to risk 14 days quarantine, the trip was cancelled and a hasty little adventure was created to Melbourne and surrounds.

Today, buhfuhguh and I were out on another caching run, this time in the Upper Beaconsfield/Emerald region with a focus on passing by Cardinia Reservoir before the weather started to heat up and our battle plan was forced to change.
A very hot day for geocaching but still a lot of fun (and nothing that the Astra's air con couldn't handle) filled with plenty of fantastic finds along the way!
We'd planned to complete this multi today and we were both pleasantly surprised to find that I already had the coordinates from a previous trip up this way where I'd been past WP1 but my route didn't go past the final.
Today we walked straight up to the final after having sworn we'd seen an elephant on the way and a quick find was made before long where the log was signed and we picked grass seeds out of our socks all the way back to the car.
Thanks to Team Crackers for this neat multi!

Out caching in the cardinia reservoir area today with Brainiac03. With the main target being the Reservoir itself and as many multi caches as we can grab along the way.
With no major issues during the rather successful day we managed to have a rather productive day. Thanks for the cache.

Covid-19 restrictions are now lifted and Geocaching is allowed so it is back on line.
Due to the new Covid 19 restrictions Geo Caching is not a reason to be out so we are disabling our caches untill safe to enable again.
Please stay home and be Safe.

Lucky enough to be in the area again during work today.
No cars near GZ meant today was the day to find your cache.

No elephants spotted today, in fact we didn’t see another living creature. We had collected the information required awhile ago, and needing to get out of the house, we decided to collect this multi despite the rain.
The views here would be amazing, if only we could see them, but the conditions didn’t damper our enthusiasm and we soon had the cache in hand. A little unloved as a bonus.
Thanks for a great multi Team Crackers.

Walking back from GZ and the phone rings. Its my friend wanting to know what I am up to. I say "Shhhh....I'm hunting elephants....and I think I see one."
She understood my crazy. She is a geocacher too.

Even though I have visited this quite some time ago as part of our team. I was back today with other cachers so took the opportunity to sign it in my own name as I am trying to find as many old caches as I can. Thank you for placing this and maintaining it for so long.
12 Oct 2019: Streak Day #226/366 (1 March 2019 - 29 February 2020). Came here after CITO and other events nearby. Thanks Team Crackers for the multi cache.
As usual it seems when I am caching out in these parts it’s an early start and as many caches as I can find before I need to head off to other more mundane tasks. I had worked out the earlier stages of this cache a long time ago and was just waiting for an opportunity to get to GZ. After a look at the earth cache and a DNF at a trad nearby I walked on to this one. A lovely out of the way spot with a great view and it wasn’t long before I had the cache in hand. My eleventh find of twelve on a pleasant morning to be out this way. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the multi cache Team Crackers.
I started this one some time ago but decided not to go for the next waypoint. As we were in the area I decided to take the geo kids and show them some sights. Realizing we were close to this I stopped and collected the information before heading off to collect the final.
Thanks Team Crackers for the cache.

Found on my second visit to GZ today. I was here earlier getting a different cache, and thought there was another nearby, but it wasn't showing in my GPS. Went away to do another cache, then looked to see what else was around and saw the starting point of this one. I had solved it previously but not put the updated coordinates in the GPS. So returned here and made the find. Considering the age of this one it is in excellent condition, that container has stood up to the weather much better than many of the newer ones that have been put out. TFTC
Enjoyable multi. I startled what must have been a small elephant near GZ. Inexplicably, it hopped away on two legs. I would call that a large white cylinder, but maybe times have changed. Very happy to find a cache placed almost 16 years ago. In good condition.
Our last cache for the morning. Three finds and each contributes towards something we are working on. Here, we managed to fill another hole in our Jasmer Calendar with this clever, well constructed multi. Thanks for not only placing it but for keeping it going for all these years. From here, a short trip into Beaconsfield Upper to pick up our new campervan then the ling trek back to Geelong. TFTC.
On way back from Cardinia reservoir after catching up some caches. Very warm day. Puzzle solved and been searched for 15 minutes after GPS played up so finally found it. Thanks Team Crackers for the multi
After doing the traditional ones in the area, thought I might knock over a few multies
Found at 1630 on a last caching run with SirJ-Oz and Muggle-L before I headed back home. We hadn't exactly picked the best conditions to be out and about, with rain and cold wind. We did visit each of the waypoints, but as SirJ had done most of the prep work previously the main focus was dropping in at the elephants playground before heading to GZ.
A nice quick find, which was a relief given the atrocious weather. Thanks Team Crackers.

Find #3512. Found @ 16:36 with AmethystPig and Muggle-L.
With the last day of the bejeweled swine being in town, I suggested some further caching exploits. Even though the weather decided not to come to the party and play nice, we still ventured forth. We decided to do the two car shuffle so that we could divide the trail into sections, and see how we were going. After just one section, the rain put a stop to the outing.
This was on my hit list for today as well, being one of my unfound months for the AUSmer challenge. I've had my eye on it for a while. A bit of a diversion from the Hallam Bypass Trail, saw us visit the posted coords (WP1) and the proceed to WP2. The final proved no problem and soon had that found as well. Somewhat disappointingly, there was no mouse on top of the container though.
Took nothing, left a batman figurine that my son donated to the cause, signed log and visited some trackables.

Starting at the given coordinates the establishment we encountered was the last thing we were expecting, so a little chuckle was had as we collected the info for the next stage. Once the moonshine fever had kicked in it was easier to take in our next location and marvel at the decoration on the local rouge ele-phant, which we had heard a legend of it becoming naked every year and a new coat applied! Once here the last clue was easy peasy before we headed off to GZ.
Thanks Team Crackers for the laugh this morning with this cool multi

Have to give credit to my caching buddy BonnyBlack for working out the clues to find this one . thanks Team Crackers
Having spent the day with Jules6 grabbing caches around Upper Beac, this was the last cache for the day and thankfully moved us in the right direction for going home. Thanks Team Crackers
I was travelling around the area where WP1 a few days ago, and I obtained the information needed for WP2. However, as I needed to head home I stored the coordinates in the GPS and decided to wait for another day. I was lucky enough to get access to the car last night, so I headed to WP2 for a look. It took me a little bit of time after obtaining the information for GZ to find the cache, as it was well hidden.
I only saw the one elephant today. I have been lucky enough to have seen large groups in the wild though, which is spectacular (especially by moonlight). TFTC!

I found the first clue to this multi cache about a year ago, but got a call before getting to the second way point and had to put it on hold.
Our family was doing Relay for Life with one of our sporting groups and there were enough people around at lunch time that I thought I would sneak off and grab a few caches while I could.
This was certainly on the list to finish. Got to the final gz, and was worried that the people, or more particularly their dogs would follow me and stop me from finishing it again.
Pleased when the dogs were called to heel, and I was able to find the cache alone at 1.30 pm. Didn't see and elephants or mice near the final gz.

This was a fun short multi. I had to drive past the first WP as there were rando's just hanging about, lucky the info could be obtained without stopping. I hadn't been to this place before, but I liked the stop and the walk.
I was on a trip up to the hills today and decided to stop for this cache while making a detour. After making the necessary stops for the information for this final, I moved off to make a find. This has long been on my list for old timer caches. I remember driving past this location as a kid but haven't returned for many years. Cache was located quickly and I was able to enjoy the views too. Stamped and returned as found.

I had a discussion with a fellow cacher the other day who said that he quite liked Upper Beaconsfield compared to a couple of neighbouring suburbs. Now I’d been to Upper Beac (as the locals like to call it) once before for a GIFF event and am going again for another GIFF event but I thought I might pop up for a couple of targeted caches in the interim.
I was alerted to the existence of this cache by the same cacher that I had had the above conversation with in an offhand manner last year but had done nothing with it in the interim. Some months later I saw that it bore a month/year combination that was needed and I thought I must go and find it. I was going to wait until this year’s GIFF event but impatience got the better of me and I went after work today.
All went swimmingly and although I didn’t take a photo of the rock I can tell you that as of today it memoralises Officer Clare’s 31st birthday! Thanks for keeping this one going Team Crackers.

Out and about in the area, so I thought I would grab a cache or two. I never used to be a fan of multis, but now they are my cache of choice. An enjoyable little multi, that was placed quite a long time ago. Now it's time for a burger !! Sorry about the late log, just catching up on my finds. TFTC Team Crackers
This is such a cute multi. Yet another place my grandparents used to bring me to as a child. I must confirm with my mother (a reliable source of information), but my brother informed me recently that this land belonged to my great grandfather, but he was forced to sell to the government. It would make sense as their farm was very close by. Thank you for taking me down memory lane today! TFTC Team Crackers
Today we explored Beaconsfield Upper and surrounds using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way. A straight forward multi and made an easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

While grabbing a few caches in the area this afternoon, omegaman and myself decided knock off a multi or two also while we were at it. With neither of us being moonshine fans we dawdle too long at wp 1 and simply grabbed the required numbers and after working out the rest of the co-ord's we found our selfs a little quaint spot with great views and also a cache container too! isn't that convenient? Thanks Team Crackers for the nice little multi and the hide.

Was great to be out caching with Happy pants once again.
No paint on me today to leave my mark. Maybe next time.
Cheers for the cache

Out and about with S_38 this afternoon, clearing more caches from this area.
I had started this multi ages ago, but haven't been in the area to pick up the final until now. Thanks for placing this cache, Team Crackers

A little bit of local knowledge goes a long way. I worked out where this one was while sitting at a picnic table in Upper Beac enjoying my morning tea a few days ago. Sure enough today my calculations were confirmed correct and I enjoyed the short walk to GZ on a nice evening. Thanks for a good cache in a great spot TC
This was an enjoyable multi, and it gave me an opportunity to explore some locations that I haven't visited before, I particularly liked the second waypoint and GZ. Setting off for the walk to the hide, I was amazed at the great views along the way, I really enjoyed the area. As a bonus there was even a pathtag in residence that I picked up.
Thanks to Team Crackers for this cache, it is wonderful to collect older hides like this.

I visited the starting coordinates for this one some months back. But I put my coordinates for WP2 in the gadget and decided they were either erroneous or a little too distant to deal with at that instant. Finding myself a couple of valleys away today, I had a closer look at the coordinates and realised that they quite obviously correct, for reasons I shan't outline here, and were conveniently close to the route I was considering taking anyway. I calculated WP3 incorrectly at first--because simple arithmetic and substitution is apparently beyond me some days--and then correctly after visiting a not-so-promising area. Happily the cache was then found not so long after, with little to no anguish. Pretty sure I've never actually been here, or at least haven't stopped the car here, which is always a pleasing realisation. Thanks Team Crackers!
Found this one today with geobrother while up in the area at Sally's big arse burgers. TFTC and for the fun.
Sneaky bringing me here from Upper Beacy. The cache was out on the ground, far from any tree and any cover, so I placed it somewhere safe nearby and covered it again. Also, I removed an offensive "swap" before Miss 8 could read it, but I didn't remove the offensive word from the log. Be warned if you have young eyes around you!!
Found while having a getaway in the dandenongs with sezzaprice. Great caching weather and great spot shame the elephants habitat is getting littered. Tftc
On a mini getaway in the Dandenongs with jitterj. Out for a walk on a beautiful day. Tftc.
In the area this afternoon doing some cache hunting and this multi was next. i did notice it was a team crackers one but didn't realise that it was their first hide and how old it actually was! Anyway, pulled up at the published coords and took on a load of moonshine. Worked out a sensible looking second waypoint (and familiar, I had been hunting a trad near there just and hour or so ago!) and drove up there watching out for elephants as I went. Got to the waypoint, hunted out the answer to the question (not as easy as it looks, blackberries are taking over! Worked out GZ and went for the walk where the cache was quickly found. It was interesting going through the log book and seeing a who's who of local caches! Thanks heaps to team crackers for this one.
Did someone say MEGA[?] Did someone say Melbourne[?] Did Freddo say 'travel to the Melbourne Mega with me'[?]
Did I say 'No'[?] You bet I bloody did NOT!!!!
Sadly today was the fifth day of our escapade and also the day that we headed for home
hevwalker12, Freddo and I did a couple of caches and then picked up Tomboy711, who came back to Adelaide with us.
The girls had to share the back seat with Bones as he was coming to Adelaide for a visit
Since we had such a distance to travel, the cache tally today for me was only 7 cache finds
That is a cool elephant!
After hearing about the history of this cache last night, while enjoying our lovely hosts generosity and firebucket for the last time, Freddo kindly agreed to bring us out to find it today
A short wander, some good views and a cache was found
Thanks for keeping this older geocache alive [^]

Leaving for home to SA following the Melbourne Mega with freddo & locus cache. We wanted to wait for peak hour traffic to ease so did this one and another before heading out of Melbourne. The traffic really wasn't any better but this cache was worth the find. The views from up here were lovely. Took some pics and started the long drive home. TFTC Team Crackers
The oldest cache found this week. A who's who of cachers in the log book. Impressive location with an elephant in the bush.

This cache was found using a Garmin GPSr, Montana 650t, Oregon 550 or Dakota 20. Waypoints and paperless geocaching downloaded via GSAK 8.

Whew, finally found it. At WP1 we parked and had no idea what we were looking for, so we got out and things started to make sense. Fast forward a little while at WP2 I went for a wander for something else and Dee sat in the car. On arriving back the police were circling our car. Given the graffiti and collection of appliances dumped there (not limited to a washing machine, two tube TVs, and a flat screen TV) I guess they wanted to make sure we had no intention of adding to the environment. They didn't seem phased, couldn't even be bothered winding down the window, and were off. We then headed off to find the cache. Thanks Team Crackers for an interesting multi!
As we rolled up to the starting coords we weren't sure what sort of moonshine we would be looking for, then I got out of the geotruck and there it was, plain as day. Enter the info into the magic box and off we scoot to the next stop. As we approach the parking area near gz we see that we had a find here only about a week ago, but in the opposite direction from the parking lot. Approaching gz, a likely hide a straight ahead, and we are right on target. Sign the logbook, replace the cache, and give the camo a spring clean, as the cache was very exposed when we found it. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
So I've just dropped Geokid 2/2 at school in Upper Beac and I'm heading home to do lots of "stuff" but remembered there was a cache nearby that I knew from the description ended up where I have to drive past to get home, so it wouldn't hurt to do that one on the way home, would it?
I've partaken of the moonshine there once or twice myself, though not by choice, and not at inconsiderable cost Clue gathered, the dogs and I did the calculations and headed to the next location. After some more calculations we headed off and soon found the cache and after a quick walkies for the doggies I'm now home doing this instead of all the "stuff" I should be doing
Thanks for a nice diversion, and even though I drive past there multiple times a day I've only ever once stopped so thank you again!

Found it! This was the second rocky cache I found on the way home today! I started this one a few weeks (months) ago by collecting the relevant clues and doing the maths (twice) last night. My second calculation produced a more accurate waypoint and after arriving at the elephant's stomping ground a short walk had me at GZ and the cache was found! The cache is in great condition although it's perch might not last too much longer! Wow! This is an old cache! TFTC SL I did see an elephant!
A Muggle friend and I wanted to spread the Christmas cheer so we came up here. Merry Christmas everyone Cheers from Team Thommo
I had had an enjoyable and interesting afternoon chasing caches around Upper Beaconsfield...and with a tally of 9, I was thinking of heading for home...but 10 caches would be a nice total to finish on. Earlier in the day, while enjoying an ice cream in the UB village, I went and found the information needed to start this cache off.
I had two options for going home...one was to head down into the suburbs and the peak period traffic...and the other was to head off to the next stage of this cache as it would take me on a longer but more scenic way home...it wasn't really a hard decision...and off I went to the next waypoint.
I didn't think I had consumed any Moonshine during the afternoon...but maybe I did as I saw an elephant on my way to the playground...and I have a photo to prove it! At the playground I managed to count the table(s) with some difficulty...the elephants haven't been visiting for a while and they haven't been eating the grass.
With the table(s) counted, I calculated the location of the cache..and set off after it. With a bit of hunting around I eventually came up with the cache.
Thanks to Team Crackers for the cache...it is really great that you have kept it going for over a decade. I will give it a Favourite Point one day...when I have found a few more caches and have one to give away.

Another multi that ended in a place I expected a cache should be! I was told by a more senior cacher that this multi was a good one to do as the log contained "the who's who if Victorian caching" completed thus one today in the company of ms-enchantress. The elephant was celebrating a 13th birthday today - always something different going on up here!
Out caching for the morning with TeamThommo and her Geo-daughter.. TeamThimmo was told that this was one cache that HAD to be done... Its a nice easy multi that ends in a beautiful rest spot overlooking a multi-coloured elephant :)
Thanks Team Crackers for placing this cache

Out in the area caching today, as usual had a great day and enjoyed the hunt. The find gave a sense of satisfaction and achievement. Many thanks Team Crackers for placing this cache.
This was a great little multi. It's such a pity that the elephant has suffered at the hands of graffiti. I remember many years ago when it was painted pink and was a beauty to behold, and something distinctive to remember. Now it's more like an eyesore! But without this cache there would be no walk down memory lane. Thanks do much for bringing me here!!
Started discussing "my quidditch game" cause we thought muggles heard us say muggles. the rock was also painted like a pig coincidence cause that's our username
Found @ 9:50pm, find # 2961.
Earlier in the week a had run a search for caches placed in november 2003 and this one come up so i kept it in mind.
Tonight I wasn't far away from this one so I decided to have ago at finding it.
I arrived at the posted coordinates and I was able to locate the moonshine quickly, I gathered what I needed and I was off, so there were no problems with the law.
When I arrived at the next waypoint I noticed a couple of cars parked there, I stopped away from them and then checked what was needed at this point. After reading what was needed, I thought that I was now going to have a problem, as it was dark I could not search the area without shining my torch around the entire area, but I couldn't do that with the cars there.
I then sat back and looked at the math and with an educated guess I had my coordinates for GZ, I had a look where it was and them went down the road a short distance and approached GZ from a different direction so that I did not have to go anywhere near the cars that were parked there.
I made it to GZ and noticed an object that needed some investigation, once that was done the cache was found, but I didn't see any elephants on my travels.

IolantheK and I headed south for the winter (well the Christmas break)
This was another of IolantheK's Jasma List things [?]
Worked our way from the start to WP1 and hence to the final (simple enough)
Got ourselves a bit wet from the knees down (note to self mesh toed sneakers aren't good in wet grass)
Nice easy find. Cache is in good condition [^]

I'm down in Melbourne with T-Tech visiting relatives for Christmas, and while I'm here I want to grab as many caches as possible to fill in gaps on my Jasmer grid, as well as some of the more unusual icons. This one fills another Jasmer box and gave us an excuse to take a long drive eastward. I was delighted to find WP1. Interesting name! Some number crunching, and I was surprised to see how far it was to WP2. T-Tech enjoyed the drive through here. Then WP2 turned up and yet again I had to smile. Some more number work, and we took a short but rather wet underfoot walk to GZ. Soggy shoes and jeans, but there was a cache to be found A neat hiding spot, and the cache was located, and all in good order. TFTC, Team Crackers.
Went looking for some quality moonshine, where else but in the hills.
Tracked an elephant for some time until I came upon Skippy.
"Take me to GZ Skip."
The obvious place for an elephant to hide his stash is in his gehax.
No mice here today, kangaroos must have scared them off.
Thanks for the nature trail Team_Crackers

Find #464
I had set myself the goal of finding four different cache types in one day and had a multi in mind, but when I arrived at GZ, I was 'muggled' out. Finishing this cache, which I started a few months ago was Plan B and so I quickly made my way to Wp2, calculated the co-ords for GZ and a quick and easy find ensued. The container is one of the best I've seen and the contents were bone dry. SL TNLN TFTC

No mice but still a great find, took our friends for their first find and they loved it.
Another oldy. Had a few troubles working out the various steps but got their eventually.
Gee this area has changed. Used to come out this way a fair bit in the early 80's ie just after Ash Wednesday.

Well that was a mammoth task
Got to WPT 1 and found the first bit. Then calculated (left my glasses at home so couldn't see properly), thought it told me 109m, but it was actually 109 KM!!!!!! Redid calculations and off to WPT2, which was where I suspected it would be. Counted tables and projected co-ordinates (remember I left my glasses at home), and it sent me 500 odd m. away, got to within 10m of final GZ I found out later, and returned to car to recalculate yet again, then with proper co-ordinates in GPSr, geo husband and I went in and found the cache FINALLY!
Thanks Team Crackers (note to self, don't try a TC cache without your glasses)

Another legendary cache run by The Demolition Crew (myself, TrailRunning, Quasar3671 and Rebel Acts). We have dubbed it Ballarat Smackdown II. This was a huge run taking us all the way from near Cardinia, via the northern suburbs of Melbourne, to Bacchus Marsh and Melton and finally Ballarat. A massive loop, and over 100 caches for the run. The company was as always fantastic, a lot of laughs, good dinner, and great caches. Many thanks to all the CO's for the hides, without them we wouldn't have been able to find anything.
Nice simple multi, just the way I like them. Good cache page info too. TFTC.

This cache was found by me today in the company of The Demolition Crew.
While I strive to make my logs personal to every cache, I have far too many logs to do, that I apologise in this instance for using a generic log. I thank you for the placement of this cache as it was one of many that made up a great day for me and the crew..
The Day's Blurb...
The annual holidays is always a great time to relax and take it easy, but not today. The Demolition Crew had decided that after such a long break from caching together that we would start the year off with a bang! So the planning minds were put into operation, and Ballarat Smackdown II was conceived.
The smackdown started along way from Ballarat, in fact in the hills around Cardinia Reservoir and from there is was a push across the northern suburbs of Melbourne through Melton & Bacchus Marsh. It being such a hot day, the waters of Pykes Creek Reservoir cooled and refreshed us, and we were soon off to start on the Ballarat caches.
Since our first Smackdown in the area, many new caches have popped up, so it was a fruitful run which ended well into the early morning. A couple of caches were replaced as a way of saying thanks to those who took the time to place them, and I think in the end my tally was well over 100 for the run.
It was a completely awesome day, and I thank you for placing the cache. We will return to the Ballarat area soon as there are still a number of caches we left undiscovered.

Find # 2326
Today, I was without my caching partner in crime SedgwickDave as he was away, so I was flying solo, hunting down caches that Dave had already found. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, I packed the bike on the back (just in case) and off I went.
This was my second attempt at this one, last time I just ran out of time, so I started from scratch today. A nice simple multi and walk to GZ [^] [8)]
Thanks to Team Crackers for the cache. TNLN

Some Trackables had a visit.
After failing to find the cache on my last visit I decided to continue of from Lysterfield (where I did two of muzza's electronic caches) to have another go at this one. Since my last visit, I'd discovered a incorrect datum setting on my GPS so I hoped it would make the difference this time - and thankfully it did!
There was no sign of the little cache guardian (mouse) but the cache was found in the first place I checked TFTC, another "veteran" cache crossed off my to-do list for the Jasmer Challenge

I have a premium membership now! Hurray for birthdays! Unfortunately there was something wrong with the ute, so we didn't go for as many we had planned. day1976 however was determined I would spend my 13th caching, so I brought along my NEW sonic screwdriver along for some serious finding!
We always enjoy a Team Crackers hide. What more is there to say? TFTC

So geostepdaughter got a premium membership today for her birthday. Happy 13th geostepdaughter! Unfortunately, mum needed her car today and the ute was in for some urgent maintenance on the transmission, so we were never going to be able to complete a lot of caches on her birthday, but we did manage to get a couple of the local Berwick caches before the ute was ready and a Team Crackers multi on the way home before geostepdaughter placed her first cache in the afternoon. Hopefully it will be published in the next few days.
I had started this cache a few months ago, but it got dark quickly and so had put it aside. Geostepdaughter and I found ourselves driving along this road, back home after having the ute repaired in Berwick. We stopped off at the second location, that I recognised from a previous cache. We gathered the required information for this one then geostepdaughter grabbed the GPS and went to find the other cache, that I had already found. Once her name was in that log book, we typed in the final co-ords for this one, only to realise we weren't too far from it.
The cache was found in a spot that we had overlooked once before. The zip lock bag is broken, but it hardly matters because the nature of the container makes it VERY water tight! A very interesting log book, almost a who's who of Victorian caching in this one. I had not realised what an old cache this one is, and Team Crackers first cache! A nice coincidence that geostepdaughter has placed her first cache this afternoon.
As geostepdaughter has said before, its always fun doing a Team Crackers cache!

Decided to go out for lunch at a nearby hotel where our daughter works which created the perfect opportunity for a couple of caches in the area. Our GPS was a bit scatty under the trees, but found the cache anyway. Thanks Team Crackers for the lovely location and the cryptic descriptions.
I wanted to get this one for a Jasmer challenge month. After failing to get the initial information remotely (curses!) I did the right thing and came here today hoping my dwindling supply of petrol was going to last and see me home again... Information gathered off to WP2 (which I had a very good idea where it should be - and was) to complete the last part of the puzzle then I headed off to GZ. That was the end of my good fortune though, I looked high and low, in, down and around for quite some time widening my search but the GPS was insistent on where it should be - but it wasn't... (At least I couldn't find it) So I'll have to try again another day...
