As an historic cache, it is indeed unfortunate that none of the local geocachers are willing to take on this cache for the benefit of the Geocaching community.

As this cache would appear to have run it's life and has now been abandoned, I'm taking the next step and de-listing - sorry.

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###

----------

This cache is carrying a maintenance log which needs to be addressed by the cache owner.

The guidelines advise that the CO should make regular visits to check on the cache as well as promptly address any logs that indicate that the cache requires some attention. You need to disable the cache if you cannot attend to it promptly - I have disabled it this time.

**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) within 14 days**

If you cannot respond to the situation as requested, please add a note to the cache page detailing the situation **and providing an actual date when you expect the situation to be resolved.** This is to allow others to understand the what is happening - as well as - to prevent the cache from being de-listed as abandoned.

Have a read of the [Geocache Maintenance guideline](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) which explain a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported.

**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [Temporarily Disable and Enable ](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing this cache up and running in the future.

Hi all, sorry but I have been offline for quite some time, almost 3 years to be precise. I will head down to GZ straight after New Years and check out what has been happening in the area and make sure the cache hasn’t gone walk about. I shall report back here in a few days time. Thanks everyone and Happy Caching

Didn't find this one today. Had a quick look but no luck. Great views outs tho so not a waste of time.

15-Jul-17
Looks like there's been a bit of work done around here lately, CO may need to do a check on this one

11-Jun-17
Sadly this was a DNF for us. We spent a long time here up and back both sides, taking it in turns on each side. It certainly looks like some work is going on here and may well continue. Everything we could move, we did move and checked but found nothing. We spent close to half an hour here before deciding we needed to move on to achieve our weekend goal.

THE REPETITIVE BIT
We had planned a weekend in Sydney but the forecast was for rain. With Melbourne looking clear we changed our minds at 8.30pm Friday and came over on the 6.10am flight Saturday. Our aim was to fill in a few ‘placed months’. We picked up our first one in the suburbs then worked our way down to Sorrento, across to Queenscliff on the ferry and up to Sanctuary Lakes for the night. Sunday saw us start off at Point Cook before heading west almost to Ballarat, then across to Gisborne and back to the airport for our Sunday night flight home. 600km and 36 hours later we had achieved our goal, adding 13 placed months to our stats.

This cache was one of the hidden months we needed but we had a backup for this particular month so that will be next on the agenda. Thanks Xesist, I hope we just missed it

12:25, 29 April 2017.

Was planning to make this #10 for the day on the way home from a quick run down the road to Eynesbury, as it's one of those outliers that need a special trip, or if you're lucky a detour like I had planned today, but there was a crew working on the dry stone wall very near GZ.

As I approached in the car, GZ looked like being beyond where the crew was working so I stopped after I passed them to assess the chances. As soon as I stopped, I got out of the car to make sure the big metal object wasn't messing with my iPhone's gypsy. It pointed back to pretty much where the crew was working. At best, I was going to be standing right beside them if I was going to hunt. I hope they haven't disturbed this cache's karma Sad.

I'll be back.

TFTC Xesist.

Wasn't too far away this afternoon with a work appointment so instead of heading home after I thought I would stay in the area a collect a few Local cache. A nice variety of hides, a few drivebys on what I hopped would be quiet roads be geeeeeeeeeee they were busy as. A nice hike out too, and I stuffed up trying to get to the car so I ended up 2km away from where I thought I left the care. Oops not paying attention. Thanks for the fun, will pop back one day and collect the rest. Tftc

While staying in Keilor with a friend for a couple of days we decided to get out of the high traffic areas to go caching. We noticed there was a nice selection of caches out this way and returned here to do more after our time here yesterday. Lots of creative hides and thanks to Xesist for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area. Big GrinBig Grin

The geopup and I headed out on a nice day to find somewhere to swim. On our way back from the beach we took some back roads and grabbed a few caches. Found this one very quickly thanks to the spot on coords. What an amazing view - the geopup climbed up on the wall and sat looking at the city like a little angel - pic attached. Thanks for sending me out here to the gorgeous view.

I'd been looking for a suitable place to drop off the "Flight Time" TB that I'd been carrying for a few weeks now. This seems like the perfect spot. Great views and hard to believe one is on the edge of the suburbs when you're up here.
I removed a few wet and soggy items that had been water damaged and so they wouldn't destroy the new replacement log. Dropped off the TB too.

11-Dec-16
Out caching nearby at Eynesbury and had to stop here to see the view on the way home. We had a clear'ish day and we would see Melbourne in the distance and the ships in the bay. Great spot. I assume there will be house here in a few years.

Found by Team Justice #1264.

A bit of a search on the right side led to the cache. Great views!! TFTC

05-Dec-16
TFTC. I had a small window of time to find a cache today. Linda had taken No1 grand daughter shopping for a 21st present. We need to fill in December for our 366 day calendar. This one was close by so I drove out for a quick find. I did admire the daytime view. The existing logbook was saturated. We had just repackaged the repair kit. Put in a new logbook and a plastic bag.

Geokid beat me to this find today. I do hope the drystone wall isn't further damaged - no need to dismantle to find. It's looked rather worn.
The cows across the road seemed very interested in what we were doing. Cache and contents in gods order. TNLNSL returned as found.

Needed to get out an do some exploring and find out where the Mt Cotterrell road took me, and then to go and find THE Mt Cotterrell.... Oh dear, what a disappointment... I was really expecting more of a mount and less of a pimple! This was my second attempt at finding this cache and I can't believe I missed it the first time! TFTC

Time for a roadtrip to Mt Macedon today, and I thought I would try find all 7 different container types while I was at it today.
Heading north from Geelong I stopped here to take in the great western sprawl. And it has really sprawled a lot more since this cache was published!
Thanks, Xesist.

On a little caching trip with Ostara74 and Pathfinder24 this was my fifth find of the day. We were able to park the car within meters from the hiding spot so it didn't take long before the cache saw daylight and we could all sign in. All is wel with container and log.

Thanks for the cache and greetings from Norway.

02-Jan-15
Ostara74, Ellesaich LouiseAnn, LouiseAnn's partner and I headed for the Pykes Creek Reserve armed with kayaks planning to get some of the water only caches in the area. The plan was soon changed when we arrived, the wind was very, very strong and the water was very choppy. This made Ostara74 and Ellesaich a bit nervous. We decided to try for one cache, just across from where we put in. After a long but reasonable uneventfull paddle we were at the GZ in question but we were unable to get onto the shore to find the cache due to the on shore winds and the chop and wake from power boats. We returned to the cars and had awodnerful lunch instead. After Lunch we packed up said goodbye to LouiseAnn and her ever patient partner and we headed for home. However, we were quickly distracted by a winery close by, and after visiting them, we were inspired to take a more seanic route home and find some caches on the way. Ostara74 found this one after a quick search. We soon signed the log and moved on. This was cache find number 5 of 6 for the day. Thanks for the cache, Xesist.

02-Jan-15
I found this cache together with Pathfinder24 and ellesaich on a very hot day. This was my third of five finds today.
After spending the first half of the day by the Pykes creek lake we were heading home but made some stops on our way for some caches.
The cache was retrieved, the log signed and then we were quick to get back in the air conditioned car.
Thanks for the cache Xesist!

I came past in late afternoon when the area was bathed in sunshine. Thankfully there's still some room between here and the sprawl. My 4yo made the find without too much trouble. Thanks for bringing us along here.

The Adventure:

The force was guiding me today. I needed to test the work the service droids did to the Jedi Cruiser. So I took it for a spin.

The force guided me to this cache after completing another close by. Still wanting to ensure the droids did a good job, I continued to the location. I had travelled this way many times in my youth mainly to come up here for the view. Thinking back to all the times I had come up here in the past and comparing it to what I saw today, there is a lot of change.

Any way, my locating device was pointing to a location, with it and the some guidance from the Force I quickly had the cache in hand.

Took: Nothing
Left: A Shiny new Jedi73 Pathtag

Because it the new Star Wars movie is exactly a year a way I thought I would leave my pathtag here as well.

Thank you for the cache.

Craig

(aka Jedi73)

May the Force guide you to the geocache!

On the way home from Melton and on my way to the nearest Earth cache for the badge. Seeing as this one is right there it made for an easy find. These caches in rock walls can be infuriating at times because I forget which rocks I have turned over and which I haven't. I'm sure I end up lifting the same rock 7 or 8 times. Luckily I spotted this one fairly quickly and was signing the log. Thanks for the cache Xesist.

Excellent!! Left a bouncy ball.

I was to meet Tackle_head for lunch at Eynesbury Homestead (another gem found through caching inititally with another cacher), but I was a tad early and decided I could head onwards to attempt to grab this one. Arrived at GZ where a little car with L plates was sitting. And sitting. And sitting. 3 x passengers in it, so I just sat also. Patience paid off, and eventually they left. Jumped out of the car, cache was spotted from a metre away, retrieved and noticed 3 x team names on it with todays date. Ah hah... they must've been cachers. Cache replaced and now I was almost running late, so back to Eynesbury for lunch. Thanks to xesisit for the hide.
