I Have taken over this cache from NZWide Undecided if Will unarchive as cache is regulary trashed. May find a new hiding place but I feel it is to close to Fire 2 Cache.

Quick easy find although the cache is in a serious condition. It appears to have been badly muggled and all but destroyed. A thoughtful noncacher had conducted some repairs and I have left as much waterproofing as I had. Thanks for the great spot. I hope this cache can be restored and provide many futures cachers with the excitement of a find.

Cheers Terrortorian

Thank you.

After such a wet night it has turned into a beautiful day. The viewing platform was sheltered from the breeze so we lingered a while to enjoy the view. Thanks

Wonderful- second cache in two days Smile

The kids loved sneaking around, waiting for geomuggles to leave, pretending to play hide-and-seek when others arrrived. Still overcast, but great views of the city and hills

Yay! A cache with a Travel Bug... this is one well travelled Kiwi, started in the Netherlands! As Wiki Kiwi wants to head north we'll try to find a lodging just north of the city.

Thanks NZ Wide again!

Great views from up here, and cunning hiding place,
although quite busy walkway. Had always wondered
where that red cross was, so now I know. Cheers!

Found it after a bit of a hunt. Cunning hiding place!

The view was not that good as the clouds where down too low.

Kevin found this one very quickly while I had gone back to top of stairs with GPS to get a better bearing.
My etrex was showing cache to be several metres straight off the edge of the deck rather then down the track.

Greetings from Texas! I went to New Zealand to get married. We were up this direction to dive at the Poor Knights Islands. My geomuggle wife was exhausted after a day of diving, which gave me a chance to get out and do some caching! This was the first non-virtual cache I've found outside of Texas.

Man... ya'll hide them well here! I never would have found this one without the hint (like the Eagle, I also found the coordinates to be off, but it didn't surprise me due to the thick tree cover). My visit to the cache was (accidentally) perfectly timed, as well. I arrived right at dusk. The trails and platform were deserted, and the city looked beautiful from up there as the sun set.

Sadly, I had absolutely nothing on me to trade, so I TNLN. Thanks! Your country is an amazing place! I only wish I had more time to see more of it through geocaching.

Glad to be able to drive to this one - too hot to walk up the hill. Another cool cache spot under the trees. In notebook, magic puzzle and shampoo - out screwdriver set.
Thank you - great views from the top.

Quick detour on way to Auckland. Many muggles on platform, but stealth recovery methods successfully employed. Plastic bags can be extremely noisy when you don't want them to be!
TN LN SL. Was sprung by 2 Muggle larvae as I was leaving site, but at estimated ages of 4 & 5, I don't think they will figure it out. Great hide. - Take a bike, it'll be worth it for the 3km downhill freewheel! Cheers.
