Don't ask how I spotted a note on an old archived cache, which only the owner is watching.
Guess I'll have to tune in now.

The last of 5 cache today, the 3rd one of Freddos!
All the horses are quite magnificent, and can been seen from roads or after a short walk!
Did all the calculations and trudging around the city,
co-ords all spot on, no miscalculations either! Only to get to GZ and not to locate it! Reread the last few logs I happened to have with me, that were printed on 17/10/05!! And guess what? Freddo has made it into a virtual! So not knowing what questions he needed answered I grabbed the camera and took some snaps as proof I was there. Then I get back here and find that it is archived too! After email to Freddo, and confirmation that we were in fact in the right spot We then will log this as a find.
A great tour of some interesting locations, and busy ones too, of the wonderful City of Adelaide!
Thanks Freddo

Archiving as I cannot come up with a decent replacement for the lost container. Will remove the trogan horse.
Had find confirmed by Freddo. Pity that it dissappeared; it's a good hiding spot. Awesome walk past various horses.
Thanks Freddo
Thanks Freddo
Well, I returned and did the count. emailed to Freddo

Well, what an epic adventure over two days this one turned out to be ... one of these days I'm going to learn my lats and longs correctly. Hehe.
I found horse #1 no problems, then thought that horse #2 was near the real horse #3 ... so walked there (the long way), only to find no horse. Whilst there though, I did spot horse #3, but didn't realise it's importance. Gave up, and started walking home, only to spot the real horse number two. Doh. Took down the details and headed home.
The next morning I was out and about on the way to work, so called in to horse 3 (again), only to find that workers were digging holes everywhere, and you couldn't get into horse 3's "corral". Damn. So, I returned again after work and snuck in ... got the information required, and then promptly kicked myself ... I had walked past horse #4 at least four times in the space of 24 hours!
Find was confirmed very promptly by Freddo.
Thanks for the adventure Freddo ... some much needed exercise ..

Today was clearing up a couple of caches in town, and thought it was time to make a start.
Will try and get the rest of the WP's done this week during lunch breaks.

Quite enjoyed this cache, done over a period of weeks inbetween uni and work in town. Amazing what there is still to discover in Adelaide actually even when you have grown up here... horse no.3 is a beauty.. never discovered her before having been in and around that location so many times. Cheers Freddo for yet another great cache
Took me a while and a lot of help from Freddo about the Trojan but I got there eventually. Loved the cache, thanks again Freddo!
Well, after running around the Adelaide township with Tess,we had 2 waypoints done. Buzz & Abo joined me for the remainder and upon arrival found all this strange horse feed around - I doubt the horses would eat this sort of feed!
Slowly I am learning to read the logs and now kicked myself for not reading all for this cache.
We were there and starting getting some strange looks so we left. If we had known about it being a virtual , we would have it now.
Maybe next time if we ever get back to Adelaide......
The Tassie Contingent
Swampy, Buzz & Abo (the others all home)

Had a jolly time galloping around town collecting all the clues some time back but was thwarted by not being able to find cache at GZ. Wasn't till I read the logs later that I discovered it had become virtual. A quick driveby last night and I had the answer I needed. Emailed the frog and received confirmation. Thanks Freddo for another interesting hunt. Cheers.
Very nice walk... finding a parking spot can be a bit of a problem at times. The colour of the horses was... interesting.
First horse, not a problem. Second horse, had a bit of a doubt whether to count certain letters. Third horse was in a very nice spot. Fourth horse... found the horse, but no cache. Mind you, it was more than month since it was last (not) seen.
Thanks for the time and effort Freddo!

Finally got around to finishing this one, but nearly didn’t.
Started when the first point was covered up, but on searching the web found the answer. Soon found point 2 and 3 on the same day but ran out of time to go to final.
Today in town while Bro was at all day meeting caught the free bus to GZ site.
Soon found area and the 39 21 and worked out this horse wasn’t a horse.
Using Troy worked out what I was looking for and found what looked like it but no cache.
So I thought it must be missing and went of to find another cache nearby.
Didn’t find that one either so of I went back to take Bro home.
After dinner looked on web at cache page and read logs, and there it was a note from the Freddo. So for now it was a virtual.
At least while I was there I had a good look and for once my memory didn’t fail me.
I remembered noticing what info was needed and emailed my answer.
Just goes to show it pays to have copy of logs or even read them to find if there are changes. I know it sometimes can give to many clues to the find. I know in future I will have a copy of logs [on my PDA] just in case I need to read them.
It’s a real pain especially now I have to travel further to do, and you can’t find because of changes entered in logs.
I noticed now owners of caches can edit info on them.
Thanks for the hunt Freddo

Found after a few mixups with calculations, one parking ticket and two looks at the final location to determine the answer (but thanks to freddo who would have accepted our first answer anyway). Thanks for an interesting tour, especially the third horse, which we'd never noticed before despite frequenting the area quite a bit.
I did the first parts of this cache months ago when in town on business. I made a mistake in calculating the final location and was therefore unable to find it then. Freddo was gracious enough to correct my mistake, but by then I was home in Melbourne. I went out there this time, armed with the correct co-ords. When I arrived at GZ, I thought I saw where it was going to be – not so. I searched high and low, but without success.
As I walked back to my car, I thought I would read the logs in my PDA. That’s when I discovered that the cache had disappeared. All I needed to do was to answer a simple question, or so I thought. What was the Trojan Horse in this case? I scoured the cache description for a clue, but none was forthcoming. Eventually, I rang the Maccamob help line who explained what was required. The answer was mailed to Freddo and has been verified. Thanks for the cache, and a sight seeing tour of Adelaide a few months ago.

Can someone explain to me why this isn't listed as a multi? I wasted half an hour at the horse looking for a micro that's obviously somewhere else! Of course, the lesson for me is not to try caches with just a pre programmed GPS in hand. You've gotta have the sheets too!

It took me a few weeks to complete this cache because I had trouble finding a parking spot for me truck going to each stage. I never had problems with my calculations...lol.. .
Answer was confirmed by the Frog.
Thanks Freddo for showing me some of the GG's in Adelaide

Found by Mary & David at 1030. A great Freddo multi. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour of Adelaide' horses, the walk and having time to smell the roses. Our thanks to Freddo - your email is on its way.
The cache box has gone missing. Whilst the box is missing the trojan horse remains. Count the washer(s) on the belly of the trojan and send me an email. We will call it a virtual for the interim.
This one should have a name that includes the words: "Red Herring" Was all going swimmingly until I divided by 1000 instead of 100 on the last leg. The resulting coords had me nowhere. I then consulted the log sheets (instead of rechecking my maths) This is where MY search went all pear-shaped. They revealed others seem to have done similar things, and still ended up finding the cache. From this I convinced myself that the something had gone haywire and the cache was located near the 3rd point. I have no idea what security-guarded building G&PB found themselves in, nor what white horse they found to get the necessary information? And I have no idea how some found the cache, but missed one of the legs? Curious [?]
The bottom line is that after correcting my maths at point 3, I was lead to the 4th horseman and the cache. So, aside from my small error this was a great cache with clues that worked well. Thanks Freddo. TNLNSL

Apart from parking hassles caused by the Boat Show near Point 2, things went fairly well on this find. Easily tracked down the horses and clues now that spot 1 is no longer under wraps. Found the final container quite easily. No swaps, thanks Freddo.
It is all my fault. You think a guy with an honours degree in Applied Maths could do the simple arithmetic required for this one. But no - I got the maths all wrong. Interstingly we found the 4th horseman without visiting the 3rd. Curious.

This one started beautifully for us (me & Langy!). Found 1st Horseman no problems, found the 2nd horseman even easier. We though we had the 3rd horseman and headed off to where we expected to find the cache...I found a nest with 2 eggs, that's when we started to realise it had all gone pear shaped. We retraced our numbers and our maths and went for a walk...we retraced our maths again & then again for good measure. We ended up back at what we thought was the 3rd Horseman SURPRISE SURPRISE WE FOUND THE CACHE!! Still to this moment neither of us is really sure where the 3rd Horseman really is.

Wasn't supposed to find this one, was looking for another one. Got a nice surprise when I opened the cache to see a different name. TNLNSL.
Thanks.
Thanks.
We planned to round up the four horsemen today but found Freddo Windsor in prison. Surrounded by a high corrugated iron fence topped by a shade cloth curtain, only the top of his elaborate headgear was clearly visible. A restoration project? Looks like we'll have to wait for him to be released, and a future visit to SA, before we can track down his three companions.
Hmmm, the last time I drove past the horse didn't look like this! No idea what they are doing or for how long, but this makes point 1 a bit tricky [B)]
When is a find not a find?
Was looking for a completely different cache. GPS led me to a structure, had a look and pulled out a container. Very proud of myself, as I wasn't expecting it to be there. Sat down and opened the cache and to my surprise it had this name on it!! Signed the logbook, but didn't have anything appropriate with me to place in the cache.
Will try the other steps later this week!

Replaced the cache box. A reminder to cachers. Please replace the horse so it hides the cache. Good hunting.
Quick check yesterday found that the horse was there (if you know what I mean) but the box was gone. I will prepare a replacement and install on the weekend.
Found the little horsey at 18:00, after doing "On the Fringes"
Parked 250m from part 3, but ended up walking much further, trying to get around a wedding party. I was 50m out on the 3rd and 4th points, don't know what I did wrong, but had no problems finding them. I thought "Job 39, 21" might have been a biblical reference ("It paws in the valley, exulting mightily, goes out to meet the weapons."), but all was clear when I got to the cache. No swap made.
Thanks Freddo.

It was an incredibly hot summers evening when little Miss I'll eventually get the maths right (herein after known as PB) and Mr I'll stop calling her stupid when she gets the maths right (herein after known as G)decided to go hunting for their 300th cache. After a hearty dinner prepared by Mongolian warriors (ie the chefs at the Genghis Khan), it was time, with distance measuring weapons in hand they set off to find their first horse."Never noticed that horse here before" remarked G. After gathering the required clue's PB did the sums and they were on their way again "I think its taking us to that horse Silver" said G, but no the weapons were pointing further down the road than that. Upon reaching their target there was no horse to be seen. "I'll just double check these figures" said PB, and alas she soon realized she'd forgotten to carry the 1. "Onwards we go then" said G. Success at attempt 2, required information in hand, they returned to the wagon and again PB did some sums. Again G said "It's that horse silver you know". But no this time the weapons again pointed in a different place, destination eventually in view, and G again noted "that there is no horse in sight". PB again referred back to her calculations and said "Oops, I had the decimal in the wrong place".
"Onwards we go then" said G, "But we can't go there, its not open at night, but we shall have a look anyway, you just never know". Upon reaching the place there was a guard on duty, who agreed to lay down his gun and let PB pass if she was quick and didn't disturb the private party inside. Sprinting as fast as she could, but also with the stealth of a small Panda, she found the horse, so hard to see in the dark, but luckily her weapon had a light, holding it close and squinting hard she could just make out the words we needed to know. After returning to the wagon, G again remarked "It's that horse silver you know". and behold! Emerging from the dark as they drew near, it was that horse silver. Hunting in the dark and tyring not to draw attention from the nearby tribe of workmen, at last we had the long hunted treasure in our hands. In our haste to find and replace without drawing attention all we could manage was to insert carabiner in the prized possesion and remove a zebra, who looked like he was having a hard time breathing inside the container, concealed by the ever suffocating plastic bag. G & PB bowed their heads in silent prayer thanking the great frog who had brought them on this journey, and to all others who have made it possible, making this our most favourite hobby.
NB - Some horses name's may have been changed in the making of this story, and the zebra wasn't really suffocating.

Another interesting look at places we had not noticed before. Great hiding spot. Thanks Freddo. Took frog and left lugs.
Nice trot in the park, though this was more of a multi than a wham bam
Took the Freddo (lunch) and left AA batteries, magician girl, Oz Pin badge and a glowing star. Thanx Froggy. Clear ponds...
Whoops. Make that a multicache. But you can't edit that field once you are listed. 1, 2, 3, 4 you know the drill.
