With a hole in my finds by month, this oldie was a target for the day. I'd solved the final using sneaky methods and was out for a short walk today (a continued recovery process - yay for medical issues). At GZ, locating the cache took about ten minutes, thanks mainly to me not wanting to get too dirty. The cache was found, signed and returned with no problems. Then, it was off to collect the others nearby. Thanks for keeping up with this one and making a quality multi that was fun to complete - even though I cheated a little.
I was over in the Ferntree Gully area to make a few stops for bits and pieces for the Cachemas event on Saturday. After collecting the final items nearby, I teamed up with Kristysadventures to grab a few local caches before heading home.Neither of us had bikes so we completed the first few spots by walking. When we got a sense of the direction and distance we might be heading we decided to opt for 4 wheels and make our way along the journey. (It was now dark and freezing cold so a long night walk was not on the cards). We eventually made it to the end and took a stroll from our vehicles. There was not a soul in sight around this area and after looking in a few spots Kristysadventures made the find. A nice not so little adventure.A big thanks goes to Rabbitto for taking the time to add Rabbitto's Ride to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
Out for an adventure with RoamingHowie and this cache was nearby.I have been to most of these areas quite a bit for work but never knew they were all connected by bike paths - what a great idea for a cache! After a fair amount of counting and walking (okay a little driving as it was very cold and dark!) we arrived to GZ. Lots of tall grass nearby and new plants but RoamingHowie found a good entry point and soon the cache was in hand. Thanks for the journey and cache hide.
With the new 2024 year already a month done, I thought I had better restart my Friday Evening Geocaching Runs. I selected the Valley Reserve and Corhanwarrabul Creek areas to grab a few geocaches that caught my eye.I needed a Multicache for today to assist with my Multicache Calendar Challenge, and I like collecting the old geocaches, too. So this was 1 of the 3 primary targets for tonight's adventure. There seemed to be a number of bikes using this path, but at least only 1 tried passing me at a time. The way points were all chosen well and all made sense when at the right spot.I was pleased that when I was at the final, there were no bike riders around, and I was able to duck into the bushes. From 1 direction, they could have still easily seen me. I found this right on 6 pm, with something large in the bushes making noise watching me, not that I saw it.Thanks for the cache, Rabbitto.Hunter
After such a long time of leaving this cache's final on the backburner, today was finally the day I went and made the find. At GZ it wasn't long until I located the nicely hidden container and signed the log. I still remember the day myself and Cooper from fisherfamfive rode along collecting the clues for this final way back in 2019. TFTC Rabbito and for the adventure!
In marvellous Melbs yet again out in the SE burbs not so far from here. Always looking for a safe cycle option and some nature if possible, so whilst in the 'gully' this is a great multi option...except I did break it up into a relay when time got short. Needless to say, Rabbittos Ride is a nice way to explore the trail and take more notice of a few things. Thought like a wabbit at GZ and quickly located the prize. TFTC and the FUN.
I had come over this way primarily to find the last cache I needed to qualify for the **Z-Z-Z - Challenge** cache... and while I was in the area, I went hunting out more caches so I could close in on the 100 Finds required for ** 100 Finds in the Knox LGA Challenge **. Although intended to be done by bike, I did it by car as it gave me lots more opportunities to pick up other caches as I made my way from waypoint to waypoint. The cache itself was a nice, easily found cache in a quiet location. Thanks **Rabbitto** for putting this Multi cache together.

This was the main object of my caching trip this morning after dropping my car off for a service. The trail was fairly busy but I was able to easily collect the information at the multiple locations.
It took a couple of hours to complete on foot collecting other caches asking there way.
Approaching gz I find myself on the wrong side of the creek but I able to find a spot to cross without getting wet feet.
Thanks Rabbitto for the cache

After being here previously with CammJT and having logged a disappointing DNF, we had received a message from the CO about a replacement and some updated co-ords, so I was out today to hopefully avenge this DNF. After honing in on the new set of co-ordinates, the hide was shortly uncovered. Thanks for replacing the cache for us to find again Rabbito, was very nice to turn this frown upside down.
This has been on our radar for some time and given that we don't live too far away we have been a little lazy! We had been up to Upwey yesterday for the new multi and decided to make a stop at this cache on the way home. So after walking to the first few way points collecting the required information each stage. We drove to last few way points and finally came up with reasonable coordinates for the location. We drove towards GZ not quite sure where to park and passed a likely option. We decided to head home and tackle the final later on. Today I'm back again and this time I managed to park a short distance away. Maybe not the best time to be out with light rain falling but after an initial scan of the area the iPhone coordinates and a more detailed search uncovered the cache. Thanks to Rabbitto for the cache. And a favourite point for the ride (at least by foot and car).
Updated the clues at Waypoint 2. This is now the third iteration of clues at this waypoint due to a second rebuild of this structure in the caches almost 20 year history.
Also adjusted the clues at Waypoint 6.
Thirdly, a replacement of the final cache and a slight adjustment to the final location due to a loss of habitat.

After collecting the clues and scrounging around GZ in all the plausible spots we could find, as well as finding the remnants of a notepad, we believe this cache isn’t here and most likely needs to be checked on.
We had two pairs of eyes looking for this one for around 30 minutes with no luck. Some remnants of a notepad were scattered nearby but there wasn't any sign of a cache or anything else at GZ.
I think this cache needs to be updated.
If my countings correct, I believe WP2 has been reconstructed since the last find, and is no longer made out of planks of wood. Therefore I cannot find WP3.

If WP2 is the shared path bridge near FTG library, the clue needs to be changed.
The bridge was renovated last year and the clue for WP3 is no longer relevant

We figured out the WP's recently and finally completed this multi today. Took us a while to find the cache- the bushes were really overgrown and the grass was super long. Log was really wet. Thanks Rabbito!
Third time looking for Rabbittos ride finally got the very wet log signed and replaced. Thanks Rabbitto for this interesting ride Cache.
The log book was completely soaked in 10mm of water, I tipped it out but still very wet Cheers noelwas
Out with BoabTree, we were caching in the Wantirna / Knoxfield area.
We didn’t pack our cut lunch for this cache as it was already afternoon. We walked a lot of the WPs enjoying the counting, then realised we had quite a distance to go so used the car. Checking numbers we arrived at GZ, where disappointment set in as we searched among long grass and blackberries. We thought this could be a DNF, but finally BoabTree called ‘found it’. Great relief . Thanks Rabbitto.

This was an epic journey and I was glad to be with Echidna44 so that we could compare answers. We walked and counted and drove some parts of this epic multi. Final GZ is very overgrown and full of blackberries, and we were starting to doubt that we would be successful. Fortunately the right stuff was moved and there was the cache.
Our mission today was to collect some challenge caches and missing ‘months hidden’ caches to go towards our Jasmer/Ausmer grid. This multi was one of our missing dates.
The forecast was for a hot one so we enjoyed the overcast muggy weather for most of the walk. By the the last waypoint and final we were really wishing we brought our bikes.
The bike/walking tracks took us through some lovely spots. I would love to see some of the wildlife on dusk, especially on the dedicated crossings.
Thank you for highlighting this area with your multi cache and for keeping this older cache well maintained for us to enjoy.

Luckily I’ve been holding back on this multi. Today was the day to get Geokid off the couch and out into the world for some daylight. With caches within our 5km zone running out we were happy to get to the end of this old timer multi.
We had a great ride there and back, doing a few other caches along the way. So many other people and dogs out and about for their daily exercise.
A small blackberry issue after an over jubilant blind search led to some small puncture marks. Haha.
Small price to pay for such a great multi idea.
Happy to say we are the first in the new book.
Fav added to the pile.

The original 16.5 year old cache was replaced today. It was in fairly good nick except for the fact that it now leaks a little. The old guard rabbit has disappeared.

Everything works well. As the previous finder said the log in completely saturated. Great to find such a old cache. Thanks Rabbitto.

Find #4459
Multi Find #381**
I went to Boronia to collect something I'd purchased off Facebook and when I had, I looked around and saw this cache. I'd been wanting to do this cache for a few years, but never got up this way. I didn't have a bike, so walked and drove when necessary.
I'm so out of practice that I messed up the first waypoint but soon corrected my mistake. I made my way around the waypoints and then finally had the co-ords for GZ. I walked to GZ and began my search. The grass was very long and plants quite dense. Blackberries were in amongst the plants and I'd left my gloves in my car. [:o)]
After 10-15 minutes, I had resigned myself to a DNF.
I gingerly made my way towards the shorter grass and with my eyes fixed on the ground, saw what I thought looked like 'Sistema blue'. The cache was in front of my left foot.
Happy and relieved I opened the cache to find the log book was saturated. I managed to sign with my PowerTank pen.
This cache fills February 2004 in my Ausmer challenge so I'm very happy to have found it.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the log book is saturated and the zip lock bag is torn. It appears to be the original log so I hope it can be salvaged.
Well where do I start...
We walked for about a (for what feels like a Fortnite)
Should’ve had a bike and or roller blades. I’m filled with so many regrets. But at least, I got to punch some darts on the way. Thank you.

Love cycling on paths; not on roads any more. Once at GZ the cache was soon located. A little wet log book though.

We walked or drove to each waypoint, gathering the clues along the way. We were down to collecting the last information required for GZ when the rain started, but having come this far, we braved the elements and had the coordinates for the final before we were soaked. The search at GZ took us a little while to discover the cache, and unfortunately the logbook is saturated, making signing the book a little difficult. Just as we were leaving, poor Steve got bitten by a bull ant and sooked his way back to the car.
Thanks Rabbitto. Thoroughly enjoyed this multi.

No chance of being discovered by muggles today. I think only Crusty K9 and me were crazy enough to go out in the freezing winter weather.
All good though as we reached the end and signed the log.
Thanks for the adventure Rabbitto. A fav point from us.

Didn’t find this one. Was starting to rain and the three possible coordinates for the last waypoint ended up nowhere the description made sense.
Very cold morning with fog. Enjoy with this multi today. Found it and was bit wet so all good. Thanks Rabbitto for placing this multi

Out and about today and just enough time for a cache, especially and old cache.
No bikes today but MuggleWifeDoes and I got our fair share of walking and just a little bit of driving. A glorious day for it as well
Quickly rustled up at GZ, my ferret was onto it in short order.
Damp log book

I first came by here on a whim over a year ago. I thought I'd just check out the first couple of waypoints - and that was my first mistake.
I was on foot (my 2nd mistake), and I had an hour before I was due to play basketball. I was sure it was enough time (3rd mistake). But this multi taunted me and teased me in the way that was designed. Each waypoint being just far enough away to frustrate, but slightly closer than a return to the car. So, I kept pushing on.
Just one more waypoint.
Just one more waypoint...
As the distances increased and time kept slipping away, my walk became a run. And in the end, I pushed through to GZ. I was cutting it fine for time as it was, so I only allowed myself 5 minutes to search the area. It had gotten dark and the only light I had was my phone.
It wasn't enough.
I couldn't find it.
And then I was left with a 6km run back to the car, just so I could run around some more at basketball! That hadn't been my plan when I started out on this quest.
So, I had the coordinates for GZ, and despite actually 'falling out' of geocaching for much of the next year, I 'watched' a succession of finders add their names to the log - most commenting on how easy this cache was to find.
A few weeks ago, I moved house. My new route home from work kept taking me past GZ. With each passing day, this cache seemed to call a little louder to me, to finally come and get some closure.
And so, that's what I did today!
Never mind the ongoing 'found it' logs.
Never mind the perfect coordinates.
Never mind my familiarity with the terrain at GZ.
It still took me way longer than it should have to find this elusive old cache. But when I did, the relief was palpable.
2nd time lucky!
And so after signing in, I gently walked back to the car with a glow of satisfaction, grateful that I didn't have to run anywhere tonight.
Thanks, Rabbitto. Make no mistake about it, I got the full experience out of this cache.

This one has taken some time to complete. After taking a walk some time ago to collect the coords, we decided to collect the cache, hopefully, today as we were not far away. After another shorter stroll, we were confronted with the search area. Here goes nothing. It is rather warm today so we made sure to make a fair bit of noise. We were wondering what it was like here when you placed the cache. Thanks for its placement and maintaining it for so long so that we can find it.
I am sure last time we were here , it was quite warm and we were a little concerned about where GZ was. Again, it is certainly warm but after a little searching, a likely place was decided on and there it was. Signed, returned and retreated. Thanks for maintaining this cache for so long.
After having found almost all of the CCT series and the few multis around Yarra Bend I was in search of another multi that'd take me along a bike path for a bit of a walk. I happened to find this one and thought it was perfect given the warning to take a cut lunch and water bag. After the first time through, gathering the information I thought I'd not find the cache and come back for another walk on another day.
Today was the day, seeing as I needed a non-trad for the day. After finding a nearby trad for another challenge I'm working towards I walked onto GZ here. Well, there sure are a few bushes aren't there? After being muggled out once (gotta love those disapproving stares) I went back to searching (no cache in hand, no harm) and after pulling back a bit and taking a general survey I came up with a much more likely area which soon yielded the cache.
Another venerable cache found; indeed this one makes the list of the first 500 caches placed in Victoria. Thanks for the exercise Rabbitto.

We did this in 2 parts on a couple different days. Enjoyed the walls but GZ left a bit to be desired. Surely you could finish this with a better GZ. Really not nice to be putting your hands into all that bush. Not complaining just constructive criticism i hope. Thanks for the adventure.
Finally found this one... took a bit of stopping and starting.. not being a bike rider I wasn’t sure how long this trail would be so I took the car .. and went for walks in between .. the actual cache wasn’t hard to find once I located the GZ .. TFTC
I've been meaning to do this multi for so long, yet I hadn't quite gotten around to actually starting it. With a few afternoon, it was time to rectify this. I jumped on the bike and made my way to the start. I didn't know there was a playground here (good to know for the future!). I then made my way along the cycle path, and enjoyed having a tail wind to aid my progress. It didn't take too long to find the cache at GZ. As others have noted, the log book is damp but I was able to add my name anyway. Glad to finally get the smiley for this one. TFTC!
A great day for a bike ride with the kiddos and this fit the bill perfectly! Waypoints were spot on and perfectly spaced for the 7 and 5 y/o’s on bikes. The cache was located quickly, but swaps were pretty dismal and everything was wet, including a damp log. Signed and replaced as found. TFTC
I needed this for one of my missing date hidden squares. At gz I was very mindful of the potential for slithery snuggles. But all good. Drain the container from some water but still ok. Tftc
I was on a trip up to the hills today and decided to finish this multi that the geo kids and I had started a little while ago. The final few waypoints were solved and we moved onto the final. We had really enjoyed the trip for this multi. The search started and took some time. The coast was clear until a muggle stopped to ask what was going on. I said that we lost our bouncy ball (first thing that came to mind lol) before he & we moved off. Returned as found.
Thanks for this multi cache Rabbito

Woo hoo! We started this cache yesterday, when Tally Tiger accidentally logged this cache instead of the one we had just completed... Anyway, we decided to leave the final point for today, as our cache of the day! Thanks for the ride!
Well yesterday we went caching and did a nearby cache. By accident i logged this one instead. That ment we had to do this one today. We had a great time With Zedaycee and Angelique Anja.
Thank you for this wonderful multi waypoint cache. We started it yesterday and only picked up the final today as part of our caching days streak. The hide for the cache was just as the hint said and was found rather quickly after checking the hint.
After a DNF last year, I decided to give this one another try. The ride last year was a lot of fun, on a trail I've never been along before. The playground and sculpture at the beginning - very impressive.
At GZ today, the area was much the same as last time, only a bit wetter! I began to look thoroughly and focussed on the area my phone was pointing to, once it settled. And bingo! So happy to have found it, thanks for the adventure Rabbitto!

Out on the bikes with 3 geokids on a beautiful sunny day. Had lots of fun following the clues. Took a bit of time, but found everything pretty easily. Thanks for all the effort putting this together. First multi cache find for us!
I'm sure it's here somewhere but I can't spot it and I'm reluctant to touch anything as there a lots of prickles here and my hands are already shredded from looking for an earlier cache near blade grass. Disappointing
I have had these co-ordinates for about 2.5 years but today after riding with the family to the stringybark festival we decided to detour past here and finally make the find. Arriving at GZ to see evidence or recent works I began to worry that it might be gone but after reading previous logs I was soon able to contain the box. All good with the cache although the pen is dead... lucky I had my own TFTC
It was a miracle that I found this! Area has recently been slashed and further down slope there is extensive plantings for regeneration. Great birding spot. Put cache under nearby tussock as no remnant of bush remaining. It's been a great multi. First 3 on foot, last three trying to find where roads are near bike path to access. This meant more walking than anticipated but weather was fine and we had time for once. Up in FTG to get car service. Glad I could do it all in one day. TFTC No rabbits of any sort in the vicinity today.

Had done most of the required work for this cache many many weeks ago, but didn't get the opportunity until today for the final leg.
Between the rain and wind I made my way to Gz for the easy find.
Was actually surprised to find the container very exposed.
Place back under...as in the clue.
Cheers for the cache and journey.

I had a look at the first few waypoints when I was in Ferntree Gully about a week ago. I was hauling around a car at that point, so when the trail left the park I drove to perhaps one further waypoint before turning my attention to other caches in the area. All of the questions were answered fairly readily and a series of points were plotted, but it wasn't until this evening that Ruverbug Jam and I made it to the end of the trail. After a quick search the cache was revealed in a part of the world that is much more familiar to RbJ than to myself. I learned some stuff. Geocaching is slowly but steadily remedying my ignorance re a whole bunch of outer urban neighbourhoods. The cache was again somewhat exposed. We tried to improve on that situation, but it's interesting that our predecessor made the exact same claim. I guess time will tell. Thanks again Rabbitto!
Caching with Bend Sinister. He was very kind to pick Little Ruverbug, her car seat and I up to get us out of the house. Very much appreciated. As was this cache.

FIND #1232
MULTI #91
We had to find a cache on our Caching anniversary and I have been meaning to finish this Multi for quiet some time, I started it back three lots of School holidays ago, but time and Geo princess fell off her bike so I never finished.
Today on foot we finished it and dropped of a Muti cache geo coin we have been traveling with for ages.
This one was required for my hidden date grid so its really nice to get one square closer
TFTC Rabbitto another enjoyable one from you SL TNLN TBV

I headed out today with my youngest geo lad after packing our bikes to grab a few caches and make the most of some terrific Autumn weather before the weather turns wet and cold tomorrow. We parked behind the local Library and set off grabbing the required numbers and besides quite a few muggles at the start and at wp 3 we pretty much had the rest of the way points to our selves and I couldn't help myself having a little fun with my nine year old when he started counting for me at a later way point, we managed a decent set of final co-ord's though and headed off to the final wp. We soon had a little hunt about and it was my son who spotted this cache and we quickly had it logged. Thanks Rabbitto for the fun little multi and the chance to go for a ride along this lovely area, pity it was a head wind on the way home but otherwise a good trip. Many thanks for the cache, TNLN.
Being in the area today I planned to do this bike multi,, all waypoint calculations worked perfectly and in not time I was a GZ, the path was busy today but surprisingly my search at GZ wasn't interrupted with concerned muggles, who would usually ask if I had lost anything-No, but I found something . Thanks for the multi and the ride
Kelly on a solo with Morcs4 today to get some exercise and try for a cache or 2. Met up ay the Library after school drop off and headed for first waypoint of this one. Quite a few muggles about setting up for the Knox Festival but some girly stealthy stuff got us though to waypoint 2 which was behind some temporary barricading. The ride was hot, really hot as there was very limited shade, so by the time we had it nearly done dehydration was kicking in despite guzzling down the good o'l H2O. At the GZ we had a bit of a moment and had to resort to PAF for a few more hints. TFTC...
Out today to get another older cache. And dragged Kelly form Mark&Kelly along. Met after school drop off and headed for first waypoint. We were surround by muggles setting up for the Knox Festival but managed all the same despite some screening of the 2nd waypoint. The ride was great but I sorta regret it today as got a bit warm near to midday on the cycle back to the cars. However, needed the exercise. Managed all the waypoints easily and made our way to the GZ. had a little difficulty initially but Kelly did PAF and got a few more hints but still need to look further afield. TFTC. Great Mullti Rabbitto.
Out with Rod(n0w0rries) Adrian (ahomburg) Andrew (andy707) Kirsten(ozhockychick) and of course 88andy88 to sit back and laugh at us trying to find them. We ended up with 3 of 5 first to finds completed. Then me Rod and andrew headed out for a few more in the area.
Whats great fun and good to catch up. TFTC.

Just spotted this one not being logged, completed with the kids and GrumpyGrumps1 around Christmas time. Was a perfect length bike ride for a 7 & 9 yr old. TFTC
This was probably one of the first multi-caches that I ever looked at.
In 2013 I owned a tow truck and as the opportunity arose, I worked my way through the way-points.
The first time at GZ and I wasn't convinced that I was in the right spot.
A thorough search today finally revealed the rabbit in it's hide.
Took 191 {unloved} days. Left a film canister that I found nearby.
Found at 19:20 on the way home from work.
Thanks for the ride Rabbitto.

Finally, the works at the starting coordinates are finished and the clue has been updated. I rode the entire ride both ways today and it took about 30 minutes of riding time. The trees and shrubbery around the path have grown so much since I placed the cache eleven and a half years ago. Very pretty now and a really flat ride. You would find it hard to get a flatter ride of this distance in Melbourne suburbia and don't forget - if you use the underpasses, you don't have to cross a single road for the whole trip.
Have made August my month of finding multis and have been attempting orange icons around the Ferntree area today. I do not have a bike (at least on that is ridable) so parked in the carpark near GZ and decided to walk the route. The weather was a beautiful and it was a perfect day to go for a walk along the trail. I collected necessary information from each waypoint and made my way down the cycling trail, secretly hoping that the final GZ would return me to my car. Alas, it was not to be. I did run into an issue with my 'a' coordinate being incorrect and by the final WP, had put me out by some 50m. Had to sit down and recalculate everything, then made a quick find whilst avoiding the awful blackberry bushes nearby.
Thanks Rabbitto for an enjoyable but long multi. Definitely wouldn't recommend to try on foot. Cache was in good condition, SL, visited TBs & replaced.

Given that waypoint one was walking distance to home, I stayed true to the intention of this cache and got on the bike with my youngest son. A few years back I gathered half and clues and last week grabbed the second half. This time it was a direct ride to GZ. We did see a rabbit on the way to GZ, but not at GZ. Cache is in good condition but the pen is running out of inked. I etched my name and date in the logbook...tftc
So. I've been looking at this one for a while now, and now I have my new bike, it's moved to the top of my to-do list. Now just need to wait for 88andy88's new bike to be delivered then good to go.
As murphy and his silly law would have it, the bike shows up today - one of the coldest, drizzliest, yuckiest days so far this year. "Let's go!"
Took off down to the starting point only to find a construction zone with no bbqs in sight. However making our way to the next (easily identified) waypoint, we were able to establish what "a" is.
Even though we were very cold and wet at the end, we thoroughly enjoyed this ride and all the waypoints along the way.
A fav from me. Thanks Rabbitto!

OzHockeyChick and i decided after purchasing my new mountain bike that we would get out and do a bike trail cache so this was the one . The gods didn't play nice to us and decided to drizzle us to the bone but alas we still plugged on. With the first waypoint under a new construction zone we moved to the seconds which lucky enough was close by and described enough for us to find. So true puzzle master style we could work out the second co-ordinates from the current location and some process of elimination and we were back on track to the final location. Some awesome riding territory with some fast downhills and some low tunnels later and we had the solve and the final location. After a wuick search we signed the log and headed off home drowned and looking fowaed to a hot meal and some warm clothes.
Enjoyed the ride all the same and TFTC Rabbitto

Visited the waypoints in question today and updated the clues to reflect the changes that have taken place at both of those waypoints. Thanks for the heads up and we are now able to keep this cache going for its 11th Anniversary this year which is in a week's time.
Okay! I confess!! I made this find but did none of the hard work for it. That's right......I cheated! Got an invitation to join Zeus, Hera & Kids and Vanessa&Aodh today to find the final of this multi. Hera had done all the hard work on another occasion and had GZ coords all ready for us cheats to make the find.
Not prepared for the cutty and spiky plants of various descriptions we were tip toeing around for a while peeking here and there. We were even barking up the wrong dead tree for a while too. Finally I happened to peek in the correct spot and made the find, picking blackberry spikes off me on entry and exit.
Signed log and replaced cache as found. Didn't swap anything today.

Hi Rabbitto
I think this needs to be temporarily disabled. The fence (and the entire playground) at the starting coordinates has been demolished and won't be rebuilt until mid-June. Also, the bridge at WP3 has been covered in bitumen making it really hard to count the planks. (I had to count from under the bridge when I did this part back in August last year.) All other WP's are still there though . . .

I feel a bit guilty logging this one, as I just tagged along for the find after Hera had done all the hard work. Even then it turned out that The Rusty's made the find while we were all looking in different places, all trying to interpret the clue. On the way out, I lost my dog, and passing cyclists said they'd seen her chasing a big brown rabbit. I ended up having to walk twice as long as I should have. Rabbitto's revenge perhaps? A nice morning out, thanks Rabbitto.
Finally found it! We'd collected all the WP info/clues on a family bike ride way back in August. We were pretty new to the game back then and couldn't take the final step to locate GZ. For some reason this stayed on the back burner and I only got around to trying again today. I had one kid and the Rusty's and Vannessa&Aodh to help me. Thanks to the Rusty's for wrestling the blackberry canes and extracting the cache! It's great to sign a log book with signatures dating back to 2003.
Found this one today. I had been in contact with the owner since my last DNF and they suggested that I might have slightly the wrong coordinates. I went back and checked last night and I did indeed have one number wrong. This is really embarrassing since the number that I got wrong was a counting one and I teach a lot of numeracy (applied maths!) and here I am admitting that I can't count. That often seems to happen with me and multis though - well I get to see a lot more of the city than I needed to. So with the corrected coordinates in hand - I went to visit the final of this one after working nearby. Interestingly I had looked around near the GZ even with my wrong coordinates (albeit briefly!). Today I stopped and looked and thought about it - I tried a couple of places and then everything just clicked and voila there was the cache. I took the logbook out and enjoyed reading all the older logs (they tend to tell stories rather than just names!). I also rewrote the previous finders name in the logbook as I really couldn't read his name. I then signed my name and wrote a mini story as well.
Thanks for the challenge, the cache, the ride (although I did it in a car!), the help and the unloved months on this cache Rabbitto.

Checked on this cache today and happy to report that the original cache container from 2004 is still in place. Pulled it a little closer to the edge of the bushes so that it can be more easily seen.
Even though we knew this cache hadn't been found in a while we thought we might try it but alas no luck for us today
Attempted this one today. I got through all the waypoints and apart from the third waypoint where the information has changed there was no problem but I couldn't find the final. On reflection I may have gotten the final clue wrong and this may change things. I will be back to finish this one off!
We were too focused on clue of 'behind tree' even though GPS was saying GZ was a few meters away. Reading logs it seems tree has gone. Will bring gardening tools to tackle blackberries next time as we are sure we were close!
After making our way to gz was disappointed to not find it. I believe everything was spot on even the photos matched. There is a lot of blackberries etc. May need checking as it hasn't been located since last year.
I started this one a couple of days ago and gathered the first few waypoints but after it got dark I decided to come back later. Tonight after work I completed the last 2 waypoints and made a pretty quick find of a slightly damp logbook (because the plastic bag wasn't closed properly) that my pen hated but still managed to do a dodgy scratched signature in the logbook. A great multi over a couple of lovely evenings of weather.
Thanks for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

Found on a cleanup run with Quasar3671. Not huge numbers for the night, but some great caches and a good catch up with Q.

With most of the work done, it was a matter of collecting a bit of info from WP4 then onto the final. After a lengthly search at GZ, we eventually found what we needed..... TFTC.

This cache was found during todays Monday cache run. Tonight myself and Blacklegend did a bit of a cleanup run collecting the scattered caches that we hadn't found yet. We headed south first down Carrum Downs way before working our way north then across to the foot of the dandenongs.
Once again the weather was good and we had a great time just driving around with no real plan, picking up the odd cache here and there. Overall it was a cruisy night where we probably spent more time chatting than concentrating on caching.
I had collected up to WP4 over a period of time and so it was a good opportunity to spend a bit of time to finish it off. We headed to the last WP, got what we needed then were soon heading back to GZ. We searched for about 10 minuted before BL finally found the burrow that the cache was hiding in. TFTC.

I had a day off work and with MMelb and JMelb away set by myself to find some caches. We have been doing the unloved challenge and neede this to complete the days required. I started looking at this 'virtually' and got some answers and had some idea of where the final cache would be. I went and checked some details and walked part of the track - confirming my answers. I then headed off to a calculated Gz. However, on arival the spot did not match the hine. I looked around without luck and then decided to leave and try a nearby cache. Having found that one I phoned JMelb who suggested i read the logs which I did. I then came back to the original spot and found the cache after a short search. As suggested by others the 'tree' has long since gone bu the bushes remain. Thanks Rabitto

What an awesome outing & a tough find. Loved the little guard rabbit - too cute!
Tired of unloved cache hunting, I decided to switch track this weekend and fill in some gaps on my Cache-Placed calendar instead. This was first on my list for today to get February 2004 crossed off. Being of clear mind and lazy body I decided to fire up the FDX (fetch-decode-execute cycle) and take a virtual ride. To be honest the proper way would have been easier but I don't mind a bit of a challenge. After some research I had a plausible GZ so headed off to see if I was right. After discounting the indicated position I tried some spots that were more likely to match the hint - and failed. Back to my GZ again and yup, there it was! (psst it's not much of a tree these days, unless there was a proper one long since gone...) I dropped off a geocoin, stamped and dated my find in the logbook - slightly damp but OK - and replaced it before heading back to the car to chase down another month cache - TFTC
Had an hour or 2 spare and the bike in the car so thought I would give it a go. I found the difficulty 2 very misleading as it took about 6 steps just to get the coordinates of the final location and included things like counting planks of wood on a wooden bridge.
Overall I enjoyed myself and it was a nice bit of exercise.
TFTC TNLN and gave the rabbit some pindone like every rabbit in australia should be, just not rabbito's.

Today I packed the bike in the car and set off in the hope of completing some longer multis. After getting setup, I set off and enjoyed a pleasant ride winding along the path. I did this cache in tandem with another and this was the last stop before I turned around and headed back to the car. I am pleased to say that the Guard Rabbit was doing its job and safely watching over the container! Thanks Rabbitto for the cache.
Found with three geokids in tow. Looked at the log and one previous entry was 13 May. Looked at todays date, 12 May 2011 and thought they must have put the wrong date, but this is only the third find in one year. It was good hunt, the kids really enjoyed it, especially the 'treausre' they find at the end. Area was somewhat overgrown and we did a bit of gardening to help, but still well hidden and amazing still dry inside.

Picked up on a Saturday Ride. A nice easy cache to work out virtually but did the ride anyway, although there was no need to stop for clues because I had already worked out GZ. Thanks Rabbitto, I haven't been for a ride along here, but I'm sure there are plenty of rabbits about in the mornings and in the evenings.
