With a day off work today I decided to plan a day of geocaching, but where. After searching the map I came upon this area. After a 45min drive I arrived. Nice quiet area for a walk.
Again detoured off the A-Z series for a quick find. TFTC

This cache i(1 of the 8 remaining) is now Archived Twisted.
I am at my wits end regarding getting caches approved - because of the stupid rules that appear to be in force by GC - reviewers appear to use a different set of rules to the guidelines that GC publish on their website and this causes friction between reviewers and Geocachers. GC appears to ignore both requests and valid appeals, and that is just not good enough! - so the only options left for me is to both archive my active caches and to not renew my Premium membership [xx(].
While both of these things will happen this year (after 15 or 16 years continuous premium membership), I may continue to look for both GA and GC caches, and you may still see me at occasional events or perhaps in the field.
There is a bit of a chance that this cache will re-appear as a GA cache - check for it at https://geocaching.com.au/

While doing the A-Z series I bush-bashed here from 'U' and spotted it on approach. Love finding these old classics, didn't spot any kangaroos though. The container is becoming quite brittle, if any future finders could bring along 2l sistema it might last another 16 years.

Team Red Roo I found your cache at 11:36am, this was the 7th of 12 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 5936. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

30-Jan-18
Out and about walking the area and hiding a new series that muskcat83 and I have been planning on for a while now. It's a great area, and true to the name of this cache we saw a few kangaroos around the place. Great to be there at night, as the views of the city is pretty cool as well! Thanks for placing a cache here!

30-Jan-18
Nice hide, found whilst hiding series in the area. Cache is starting to break. Tftc.

18-Dec-16
FINALLY!! My very 1st cache was beginning to think this game wasn't for me, when my mate and I spent over an hour in a tiny park trying to find a cache, and I'd read the log and see "easy cache find" or "found it strait away", so after a few failed attempts, finding this one today was like winning the lottery.

A beautiful day at Bungedore, no roo's about, but a LOT of marsh flies. And after all that, I didn't sign the log because of course I forgot my pencil but I don't even care, cos I found my first cache oh happy days

23-May-14
An RDO coupled with a break in the weather had me heading in this direction to grab a few Big Grin. I walked for a total of about 2 and a half hours and managed to find 8 and DNF 1. A very pleasant walk with well formed tracks and spot on coordinates made it all the more enjoyable. Smile

WOW, I was surprised at being the first to find this for about 18 months Surprised. The container was quite brittle and when I tried to get the lid off it crumbled into pieces Sad. Luckily, I had a similar size and style in my geocache back pack and I swapped the container over Big Grin. It was a nice walk from First Five Eighth and the showers were staying away. TFTC Team Red Roo

out in the bush with my out ed class. Thanks Johno for the find.

25-Aug-12
Battery was running low as I was doing the nearby caches. I hoped it would last until I got to this one, but it died about 100 m from gz. Bugger. Still enjoyed the walk though. Will probably return one day. Thanks anyway

20-May-12
great hiding spot, walked down the wrong track, then went cross country all the way to the cache Smile

19-Sep-11
I have been wanting to do this one for some time and Keego & Chil invited me to go together on this one. Ended up going to far up the track as we thought it would be at the top of the rise but noticed we were getting further away. Well a little bush bashing and Keego & Chil found it while I was still narrowing it down.
Left a toy sheep and took glasses keeper. We found an easier way out to the track and noticed a black and white ribbon tied to the tree marking the way in.
Thanks Team Red Roo

19-Sep-11
On a caching walk with AmstradKid in Bungedore park. We came in the easy way from the carpark on Albany Highway. Walking along the gravel tracks we then did a bit of bush bashing.

AmstradKid had noticed a track on NearMap but we missed it going in.

The trail is located at the above co-ordinate, look for the sign "Fire Access W4"

The cache was easily found, SL TFTC

IN : Tape Measure Keyring

OUT: Eye glasses keeper

Our 6th find for the day, and our last as it turned out as we managed to miss the trail to our car, we wound up walking the long way out.
Lucky for us it was getting late in the day and was a lot cooler.
What a lovely place this was, even though we probably walked the whole park in the end we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

17-Jul-10
Found this one using GPS. Off the track a fair way but not too difficult for young children. Just a few spiky bushes that require children to wear long sleeves. We found it with our friends FREO KIDS. This was one of three we found in this beautiful area. We really enjoyed walking here. We took a few items and replaced with others.

30-May-10

14-Sep-09
A nice walk in a great area only spoiled by our discovery when we returned to our car. [:(!]
In no way is this a reflection on the caches in the area!! This is a recommended walk, this was just one of those things that may have happened to us in one of the 100 other out of the way spots we have parked and bush walked. There were witnesses from across the road but unfortunately they were unable to get any car details apart from make and colour, but they were so helpful as we had to clean up to pick up the kids shortly after they offered their vacuum cleaner and bin.

A big thanks to C & J for being so kind, you really helped out and helped restore our faith in people.

Took Nothing
Found a HUGE rock in the driver seat Sad

Second find for the day. Nice easy walk, even with 2 geokids in tow,are quite surprised at the 3 1/2 star terrain rating. We found "the hills" to be gently grading up and the path easy to walk. Saw no kangaroos today, only heard the black cockatoos.
Took gold medal and rock
Left various kids toys

There are some hills to climb in this one but worth it. It is a nice walk. Took the Bubble Set and left balloon, coin, aussie keyring and our calling card. Saw a kangaroo and the view of Perth city. Signed the log and TFTH.

08-Feb-09
Continued on my walk around the area. I was following great tracks until about 150m to go, and then had to go bush as I list my way a bit. Found the cache easily. I spotted a kangaroo as I left, and also the nice view not too far away. Carried on and made my way over to a new path and followed this along the fenceline all the way back to the carpark. This way was quite hilly, and the total loop was 4.3km for me.
A nice day for a walk, and not too hot today. No swaps, thanks for the cache and the walk!

08-Nov-08
Walked in from Robin's Ramble and we could see where the cache got it's name. We saw some kangaroos bounding through the bush, then a few minutes later we got the view across to the city. We found good trails almost all the way to the cache so it wasn't as hard going as we expected. Found the cache in good order and TNLN. Really enjoyed the walk through the bush. It was marred only by the number of very friendly flies.

Thanks Team Red Roo.

Dont know if there was an easy way in, but i am pretty certain that i found the hard way in. Great Park, great piece of bush.

Great day out for a walk in the Bungendore park. Spring is the best time to appreciate the bush, not too hot and all the wildflowers out in bloom.
Picked up Urch's travel bug to move it along.

31-Aug-08
This was yet another great walk in this lovely bushland setting. Newly refurbished cache easily found and got to be FTS the new log book. TN Left Blingg's 'O' punch TB.
Thanks for the exercise and a good hunt, Team Red Roo.

25-Aug-08
Several recent logs indicated that a new container was required. After locating the cache, and removing any contents that were too wet to remain, I re-hid in the same place and continued my way. Several new items were added.

17-Aug-08
A continued walk from Robins Ramble. Such a lovely area around here. A wonderful walk on a beautiful day.
TNLN - Didn't sign the log either, it is very very wet. We emptied the water out of the container and dried a few things off (well, as best we could). Definately, needs a visit with a new dry log book and contents. Some of the contents were paper type items and they are soaked through as well.

08-Jun-08
*Found using the family group name Mackerals. Have decided to log it under my new profile.

08-Jun-08
A very enjoyable walk through to this find, had no problems with co-ordinates.
Cache needs work however as the lid is split on the box. Log book and everything was full of water and obviously had been for a while as it was extremely smelly. Cleaned out as best as possible but book etc was still wet. Had lucky last shopping bag so covered as well as possible.
Could not sign log book so will just log online.
Took TB 474918 Shoe horn - have brought home to clean up and will pass on elsewhere.

A really hot WA afternoon and the accompanying piglets almost gave up on me - had to carry my niece back to the car! Reasonably easy find - left TB and medallion, took $2 (niece's reward for finding) and bubble solution.

Found it ok after walking from car park at Albany Hwy. Had been raining earlier but fine, though cold. Only one other car at car park. Took card and as I had nothing else on me, left $2. Heading off to the "Dam it's Wungong"

Enjoyed a lovely long walk in here from the carpark and gate. Found the cache easily at 5pm. Very peaceful up here. Saw some red-tailed black cockies, but not much else unfortunately. Left nothing but took the "Lehigh Mafia Geoduck" Geocoin as it's been here a while. Thanks for the cache Team Red Roo.

04-Mar-07
Left Lehigh Mafia Geoduck - how could I resist - all he wanted to do was play with the kangaroos!

Pushed on to do this one after nearby "Robins Ramble" and looping back to the car park.

Kept to the tracks most of the time but must confess to some minor bushbashing when I left (unnecessarily) the tracks in favour of following the almighty GPSR arrow.

Found easily after a nice quiet and peaceful bush walk. Pretty much had the place to myself on the trail.

Very thoughtful of the cache owners to position the cache right next to a natural resting spot.

Took: Nothing!
Left: PaddyK Geocaching Down Under stamp!

Found it after a stroll through the bush.

Cache is in good condition.

28-Aug-05
Found this one from Robin's Ramble. Had trouble with the initial path we took so went 'straight line' through the bush. A bit scratchy in places (parrot bush, the patron plant of Rogainers). Wildflowers starting to make anappearance, nice park.

Took: TB Lith-ee-um
Left: Bubbles - can't believe that there are some there already, that keeps happening to me, should have left the mini-cooper here and the bubbles at Robin's but wasn't game to retrace steps!

05-Dec-04
Another very pleasant walk. We continued on to this cache from Robin's Ramble. We where following the track assuming it would loop back, but soon realised that was not to happen, so a bit of back tracking, before going off track. Saw three kangaroos and two ticks. A great walk in the park. I will let Minibenkst log the take and leaves, but I picked up Flick the Fire Engine. Cache is in good condition. Thanks Wayne and Kathryn for the hunt.

Found with Dad (Aushiker). Bit of walk from Robin's Ramble, but nice. Took pen and left Great Moview Score CD. Thanks for hunt.

I decided to introduce my sister - brother in law and their three boys to the joys of geocaching. Actualy I really wanted to let the boys experience the fun of the cache and relive the days when our son was that young. This is a fantastic cache if you enjoy a walk and since I really enjoy a walk then I will have to give this cache and its nearby companion top marks.

Thanks guys.

Oh. And to match the cache I added the Kangabug whom we recently rescued from Exmouth!!!! The bug kinda suits the names of a the cache.

6.00pm: Found it on spot. We were not planned to come to this cache after left our vehicle in the carpark via Robins Ramble and expected it would be too dark when we arrived this cache therefore left the information in the vehicle. However after Robins Ramble, we looked at our watch and thought we still can make it. So we went by briskly walking to the cache. After arrived at the location – we went straight to the point exactly like right at our feet. TNLNSL. Arrived back to our vehicle at 6.20pm. It was interesting experience to bushwalk down the track in the dark although we have our torches in our backpacker till last few metres from the carpark. Thanks for great locations and caches in all Big Grin.

11-Apr-04
we decided to find this one first out of the two that are here.
We parked the car and headed off along the tracks, what a great place for a walk, we found this cache fairly quickly but loved the area and the walk.
we left a spirograph ruler and a smelly belly
and took a teddy bear.
we then headed off to Robins Ramble.
thanks for a great day out

24-Mar-04
5:15pm Kangaview was the first one of the 3 caches we found this afternoon. We were feeling like we needed a good walk so we were pleased to see that there were 3 new caches in the area thanks to Team “Red Roo†so we set ourselves the task of doing them before the sun set.
We parked at the ideal location for the Kangaview and Robins Ramble caches. We know the area well and had plans for placing one around here also. We are glad to be beaten to the task so now it is our pleasure to find these ones. We did the walk following the tracks in a slow curve towards Kangaview cache. Mostly a gentle uphill walk on good gravel tracks. What we would call very pleasant bushwalking. We walked cross-country for the last 150metres and found the cache as expected. We took nothing and added an Address/Telephone number book (unused of course). The great thing about this cache is that you can sit on a tree stump and write the log book.
