Will replace soon , having broken my arm it will be 6 weeks till i can drive as soon as i can i will get it fixed
Found in the bush - only a plastic bag and a completely waterlogged log, which I couldn't sign because of the damage to it. Having said that, I didn't realise what a pleasant area Yaldhurst Bush was until I did both caches today - and I've driven past it many times!

I've been wanting to get some more caches found, and I managed to convince mum to come join for doing so! So we headed out today to see how many we could get, focusing on finding the solved & unfound ones. We didn't do too badly, getting 24 for the day, and with the baby actually being pretty chilled most the day! - Perfect for finding heaps of caches! Haha!
Finally able to tick this one off! Had been meaning to for ages, but somehow never got round to it! So took the baby for a wonder on here, and we made it! Yay!

I had an airport pick up at 8 and rather than head home and come back thought I would stay in and grab some caches in the area. Needs maintenance as only bag and log.
Found this cache as part of Team KFNZ "Epic Christchurch Puzzle Collection Weekend" - the aim being to sign off on various puzzle trails in the area including "Ah Fresh Breath", "Metal Mania" and "GoG" and pick up stray caches in between. The weather was perfect for this adventure and we enjoyed a packed geocaching lunch from Mother KFNZ. Thanks to all the great puzzle setters in the region - it makes for a great winter project and fun and fast finding.
A little traipse across the park for this one and some careful hunting amongst trees - as others have said not much left of the cache.

Like others before me, just a plastic bag and pretty damp log. Needs a CO visit! TFTC
Found with jess53nz on a cold wet day. As with previous logs just a plastic bag now, no container. Tftc!
No sign of camo Container.. Just a zip lock bag with log and pencil in it.. Below eye height in a cabbage tree. Coords spot on though.. Tftc
This cache needs some maintenance - found the bag with the log in it on the ground - no container. Tucked bag in a low fork in the nearby tree. TFTC
Yept indeed a good little bash thro Te bush required ! Just in plastic bag, container now gone. Log paper lines full, but able to use random space to sign. the bug that was in here has been removed, but not logged... Yet, so hopefully it will appear!
Signed the zip lock bag like everyone else did take a bit of bush bashing
Nice to find an old cache. Only the plastic bag and log book. No sign of any container.
We chose a path into the bush and for once I didn't get my hair tangled in twigs and branches. While we were narrowing down the cache location I spotted a plastic bag in a cabbage tree and thought it looked suspicious. I pulled it out and sure enough it had a logbook and a few other items in it. The log book dates back to 2014 so it looks pretty legit. I signed it and replaced it where I found it. Tftc.
It was a very hot day to be searching today, we found a snaplock bag with the logbook but no container. Log signed, TFTC!
Found with odgersaj back when I first started and didn't understand the app/have a prem account - now I do though! Signed the log back then but didn't do the online bit so logging now. Thank you!!
lots of bush bashing. only found a plastic bag with some goodies and a log-slip
please check
please check
No container found but log paper in plastic bag with a few other bits and pieces. Located with help of previous logs. Definitely some bush bashing required. ☺
I was a little worried about this one, having recently found one of CO's caches that was definitely not a walk in the park... and this one even had the word 'bush' in the name! Never fear, although it is definitely not a T1 as there is no way someone in a wheelchair could access gz without a machete, it was not too difficult getting to. No container as previously noted, but logbook and even some swag safely there in a bag, just sitting on the ground near a cabbage. As we were not sure what halfway up a shrub meant here almost 12 years ago, the cache is now sitting in a cabbage's crotch at gz about mid shin, hoping for a new 200ml sistema or something similar. TFTC!!
despite having various cache containers ready and waiting in our kit we could not locate the ziplock bag with log so will log as a DNF. CO should check the cache.
Sorry to report this cache is now in need of some TLC.
Didn't have anything to hand that could be used as a container in the meantime.

Did not have a replacement - but at the moment there seems to be only a ziplock back with a logbook
We found the a slip of paper being used as the log and 2 pencils and a hair band in a snap lock bag on the ground - but no trace of the container or anything else. Have placed these back at eye level.
Only found the logbook without a container. Not quite sure whether this should be like it is, but will add a needs maintenance for the owner to check.
I was on my way to sign off the Monthly Spelling Challenges when this one popped up on my radar so I just had to stop and sign it off. After meeting Netball123 and Mason at the other Bush cache I went with them to this one. They went one way and I went another. I saw the cache but left it for them to find it.
Cheers for the cache.

Day 5 of the Awesome Mega Adventure and Guwapo, Mama and Papa have joined the DCC crew for a days caching. Took the long way in, found the short way out. Salamat!
Initally we came at this one from the wrong angle but we soon sorted that and cache was soon in hand. Found with the Dunedin Caching Crew (DCC)
Final morning our caching with the DCC group before heading back to Dunedin. Loved driving and grabbing these ones.
When out with a group they go from A-B which included wanting to jump over a ditch and hopping barb wire. I declined to partake and instead managed to face plant into tall grass, luckily no one else saw me. Had to sit in car for next few to let my foot recover from mild sprain. At least I got a smile for the trouble.

Taking the most direct route isn't always the easiest or smartest option. Found with the DCC2
Traveling home fom Mega. Taking the long way. Day 4. CACHING with DCC 2, Dunedin caching crew. TFTC!
In town for a “Mega” weekend of caching. I joined up with Yeetrees and gonefishing to form Team YGB. I really enjoyed exploring the country roads of Canterbury. We travelled a fair few Kilometres in the 4 days we were here, and had a great time, with a lot of laughs along the way. Good weather, and good company. It doesn’t get much better than that does it.
Sunday. Day Three, Area 3. And we're off to an area that I dubbed “South of the River” when I was planning things. A nice sunny day but with a cool breeze, the promised afternoon showers didn’t eventuate either.
Thanks to all the CO’s for all the caches we found. Cheers and TFTC

Found during the Mega weekend on bit of a tiki-tour around the Canterbury back blocks. Great weather, great caches, great fun! Thanks to all the cache owners for putting out and maintaining caches for us to find. All in all, a fun road trip with Boxhill and Yeetrees, we signed many of the logsheets as YGB to save both time and logsheet spaces.

Well not only do I have to thank the cache owner for this one - but also GenCluster - for providing the correct parking co-ordinates back in 2012. I had relied on the ones in the listing and I too ended up staring at a field. My version of the parking co-ords : S43 30.585 E172 29.004.
Sweet_bee and I made our way through this lovely and thankfully abandoned area. We took a direct route to the cache and was soon ducking and weaving through the trees.
Thankfully, it came to hand fairly quickly. We signed the log and re-hid the cache. We took a more scenic route back to the car to check out the park. A nice little stop... and an old cache too. TFTC Badger-Ferret

Nice find after dropping off my daughter to a camp. ..signed the log. Thanks for bringing me here to this place, TFTC Badger-Ferret, from TeamMcI, 2 October 2015 19:34, cache number #930!
A chance of a trip to Christchurch is never to be sneezed at as any road trip to a different town from where I live is gratefully accepted. This time a work colleague was travelling down for a conference so I offered to be the chauffeur safe in the knowledge I might have the car and the time to go and grab a 'few' caches. Despite not stopping for a single cache on the way down (how's that for restraint) we left Blenheim at 0530 and arrived at the conference hotel car park around 0915 and in plenty of time. I dropped off my passenger and headed off for 5 hours of caching, and collecting some bricks for a friends house from his parents in Rolleston. Total for the day was a healthy 51, have to save some for the forthcoming MEGA so avoided the super power trails on offer. Main event of the day was finding my 81st and final D/T combination, it's been a long and fun journey to get there. Also found enough for this to be my most prolific year too. Thanks to all the COs whose hides I found today and apologies for the mostly cut and paste nature of these logs
T F T Cs everyone
After picking up the bricks it's time to get on with some caching. Some A Bs, some racing cars and some spell the months of the year challenges made up the next several few and headed me back in an inefficient loop back towards the airport.
A real oldie this one and one of my missing hidden months so a must have whilst passing. Struggled with the entry point to start but a leap of the stream and all was good. Read recent logs then made the find. Leant the fallen branch against the tree after for camo

Took me a log time to find. Gave up twice and then return. Thanks to the last log. TFTC
A lovely wee reserve which I didn't know existed. It took ages to find this cache and eventually I spotted it on the ground. I put it back in the tree that it was beside which was a cabbage tree, it is about a foot off the ground. TFTC
This is the second time I have been to this park and I have never seen anyone else here.
Out for a few caches on sunny afternoon. Didn't realise this area of grass/native bush was so extensive. Geodog, Charlie, loved it. Picked up geocoin. Tftc
We had search for a long time. But we found him. The logbook is much wet. Its a nice place here.
We have placed a TB from Switzerland. We wish a good journey.
Hier mussten wir lange suchen. Aber wir haben ihn gefunden. Ein Wunderschöner Ort. Wir haben einen TB aus der Schweiz hier abgelegt. Ich wünsche eine gute Weiterreise.

The only other person we saw here was a muggle mowing the grass.
+ a marble, - nothing.

Was looking for a 2004 cache, not mamy of them! Cache probably lower than the hint leads you unless you're the garden gnome. Thank so much for this one. Lovely area to picnic.
Took me ages but eventually found. I remember trying to find this one years ago with no luck. Sorry to be picky but that is not a regular size cache. Anyway I persist as I needed a 'Y' for the challenge down the road.
Sign log and cache in good order See taybee Log as we did it at the same Time

Yip very wet! I went round in circles and just as a twig got stuck in my hair I looked back and there it was.
Its right on the GPS pointer. Logbook is soaking wet so it needs some attention.
Housework done, academics....ummm done? Dinner thought out-ish, woohoo time to go play in the sun and find treasure! First just two of us, then three and finally four of us crammed into our way too small car, rush hour traffic but nothing could lessen the anticipation.
#1 find - what a lovely hidden jewel, we all enjoyed the stroll and took pictures sitting on the giants bench which was perfect for a lowering sun, cache still needs maintenance, we popped a scrap of paper in for a log and stuffed it in a disposable glove to hopefully protect for future finders. (Yes we carry gloves, the little one we stuff into tight spots is a little squeamish)

My son found this one after a brief search . Unfortunately the log book is very wet as there is no plastic bag around it. Will need some maintenance
After a second scramble around in the bush area I found it. Bbear44 was crouching me along the way but she dropped her expensive Leatherman pocket knife somewhere during the search. We didn't discover this until we found the cache. So we frantically searched through where we had been searching for it. Thankfully we found it.
Geomum had looked for this before with no luck, I found today while out with geomutts and geomum. Lucky find as i was close to giving up. Cheers
2nd visit here great wee place. After what seemed like forever searching Blutbad found while trying to make way out. Haha must say a lucky find. Glad to tick this off.
Very hot in bushes and gps jumping all around. Will return on a cooler day. There is also a lot of rubbish being left behind in the general area. Lots of drink cans and empty packets.

Log slightly damp

While in Christchurch for a time I decieded that i needed to work on collecting a few older caches around the area. Managed a nice quick find and a nice piece of bush reserve here that I must have zoomed past many a time

Quick find in a pleasant spot I wasn't aware of. Great to get an old cache such as this, left a TB. TFTC, #5547
Found it after long search. Not sure I would say it was half way up! iPhone is not accurate either!!
Had a bit of trouble finding our way in here but once here quickly found the cache TFTC
Replaced cache container log book and pencil today put cache back in tree fork
Visited here yesterday (Sunday) while on a Guide Camp nearby.
Had a couple of the girls where were interested in caching, so gave them my phone and they went hunting.
Found after about 5 mins in a different place from where I've found it twice before.
On the ground, as in previous logs, and sodden on the inside.
No chance to dry it out, and no replacement logs on me (this being a spur of the moment hunt).
GPSr on phone indicated we were within 4m of GZ, and from memory closer to the grassy area than previous find.
Needs either mainentance by owner, or maybe by next cacher.
It would be a shame for this one to be lost.

After having found a cache along the road to get me one for the day for my August "streak" I came on to here to have a go at the ones nearby. I found this cache after a short search but as with the previous finder it was sitting on the ground, had water in it and the logbook was completely soaked. Fortuntely I have a pen tht writes quite well on wet paper so I was able to sign it. As I'm not sure where the cache should have been - and whether it would say in any place I might guess for it - I have left it on the ground but covered it a bit better with leaf litter. Definitely needs some maintenance. Thanks for the cache and for bringing me to this pleasant spot!
Found cache on the ground, contents inside were saturated, have placed where I think it should have been. Day 2 of 31 days of caching. TFTC
