This one had me fooled for longer than I'd like to admit. Finally found it in basically the first spot I looked. TFTC
Was in Arthur's Pass today catching up with friends - including one friend who was out from Perth to visit his mother.Quick walk up to the waterfall and grab the cache before I left for home.*TFTC Trigger_Fish #1,025*
TFTC, quick find straight off the train for our day in Arthur's Pass. Fab location so thanks for bringing us here
I walked up here on a rainy, dark night - the lights werent on last night - and I couldnt find the cache. Much easy in daylight this morning. A great location for a cache, thank you.
Bladesofglory and I spent a decent time searching but to no avail. Have to leave this one for another trip.
Found with Blue Jay on our first day driving around New Zealand. Today we drove from Christchurch to Hokitaki and saw from lovely scenery as well as picking up a few caches. This was one of them.TFTC. Toffee Man.
Found after a search down under Thanks for showing us this place, & for placing and maintaining this cache. The is our playground
On our long journey from Germany to Australia / Tasmania / New Zealand / Dubai of a total of 3.5 months, we also crossed NZ from north to south and collected a few caches. This one was found quickly but I used a flashlight which I would recommended. TFTC
Big hiking day today: first up and down Avalanche Peak, suberb track & views! Placed a cache at the summit there, should be published soon. Then a few more hours in and around the village. Very enjoyable day!Had some trouble locating the cache but once you look from the right angle, it's easy enough to spot it
Completed the Kea multi waypoints and the ad lab - will get the final cache for that on the way back - then time to shed some light on this waterfall. Logs say it's a sneaky hide, said Mrs D... I hate those, said Mr D, oh there it is. Lovely waterfall too!
Looked for a good 40 minutes. Turned and twiddle things, use torch on phone Looked everywhere I could think of but unless I get a better clue before I leave tomorrow, I'm going back to Scotland disappointed and frustrated!
Log found!
General location was obvious but took us a while to narrow it down.

Found after a short search. It helped that there were few other people around. I enjoyed the location. TFTC
We’re struggling to find this one on our fourth attempt . Absolutely gorgeous spot.
Last find before lunch, I'd been wandering for a good hour and a bit and the stomach was looking for something. The eyes and soul, however, had room for a waterfall and cache, so these came first. Quick find TFTC
Foggy with light rain today over the pass, I convinced sveppi to stop only at older caches along the way. Thanks to the description and hint I came prepared and it was an easy find after a short search. Pretty spot. And due to still being early in the day and the rain there were no other tourists.
Due to the the COVID-19 pandemic it has been four years since we last made the long trip from California to New Zealand to visit our kiwi kin. In addition to enjoying our time together we are enjoying finding some geocaches, too.
Traveling home with Luckysteaks after a fun weekend on the west coast. Unlike our previous visit there it only rained at night. This was our first visit to Arthur’s Pass but I hope we can return some day and do some more exploring. Luckysteaks, having previously found this cache, provided Crucial hint leading to the find.

Exploring Arthur's pass, staying in the village for two nights. These caches are my tour guide.
I had been into the church, read the history and took a picture of the falls.
Lovely location, no muggles about. So I did a bit of a search. In the end I was balanced under, reaching for the cache. A tricky spot, but a safe one. I replaced the wet log and dried the container.
Thanks moneydork for the hide

Greetings from Queensland! We have 1 final full day in NZ so have come for a drive up to Arthur’s pass to check out the area.
We were about to start heading back to Christchurch, but I asked to have one more stop in town. A short walk to view a waterfall, I do love waterfalls! We took in the sight and read some previous logs while we waited for the muggles to move on. With an idea of where it might be it was a matter of seeing it from the right angle, the torch helped to highlight it.
Unfortunately the cache was full of water and the logbook was swimming and unable to sign. We have a photo if required. Tftc

That was quite a search. Kozjah found it just inches from where I first searched. Angry FP awarded!
Well what can I say except the only blinding thing is my eyesight.

Last day of our road trip, heading back towards Canterbury. Took us a while but I wouldn’t give up! Cache and contents are very wet. A challenging find. TFTC!
Must be better at night, hopefully I get a chance to search after dark one day.
Poured water out of before but could still sign it. Only been here an hour and that's my 3rd train
This took a while! Coconuts3 and I spent quite a bit of time, and I would have been within a finger of getting it - but didn't see it. Ahhh sigh.Mrs coconuts3 spied it and we happily signed. A beautiful spot, just love waterfalls. TFTC
Out with busy paws having a GC adventure. This was a lovely walk we didn't know about, really enjoyed this. The cache is a very very clever hide. As it was day light tried torch and kept looking in all sorts of places. Busy Paws said enough we have to go, I said NO I can see it yeh. Got the cache and very happily signed the log. Great fun, thanks for bringing us on this beautiful walk and the cache Moneydork.
Thanks for this. We almost gave up, but oldest finally found it. Thanks for taking us up this path, great place.
Been staying at the YMCA so had to find this on our last night here ️. Bit of fun in the dark
Wow quite stunning took a while to find had to stop a few times for muggles TFTC
We were out on a family trip to Arthur’s Pass to do a walk or to and find a few geocaches. Great time had my all. We saw some great waterfalls and a couple of trains.
What a stunning spot and a beautiful waterfall. After a bit of a search, the cache was located and logbook signed. Thanks for the cache

A lovely spot and fabulous view. We got married in the chapel below. It's been years since I came up to this lookout. Thanks for bringing me back and thanks for the cache. Have you done my caches up here at the Pass?
What a wonderful place Thanks for the cache, we found it while we are taking a small rest.
Took this after hiking Avalanche Peak. Took me some time, mostly because of all the muggles!

Had a hard time finding this very tricky cache, but eventually got there! Very pleasing to find a cache on one of Cal's favourite walls in the world!!
Visiting from the UK. Managed to travel on the train from Greymouth. Very lucky as it had only been open for a few days and closed the following for track maintenance. Spent a day walking to the Devils Punchbowl, seeing the Kea's and Geocaching. Took a while. Now one around when I went in. Surprised some visitors when I popped back out.
Took me a few minutes but if got there in the end. After you have done the cache, go and look in the chapel
We spent a long time looking for this one but apparently not so blindingly obvious for us!
Visited three times. First before tea after booking into accommodation just off train. Decided need torch. Second time after tea took Mrs ib for short walk. Third time caching time... soon had signed.tftc
Not an obvious place for the cache, at least not for me. But still found it after some searching

Off to ChCh on a Maintenance Run and we were randomly checking caches - ours or not.
We knew this one was wet so brought a new 200ml sistema with logbook ready to go.
It was indeed wet probably due to the type of container which isnt entirely waterproof.
All good as new here now. Happy Caching

Riding our motorcycle from Christchurch to Arthurs Pass today. What a wonderful route. After checking in our room we had some time to walk around and find some caches.

Nice wee walk, short and sweet and with a magnificent waterfall view at the end.
The cache has seen better days but still in its place. Made a stop here as this was one of the oldies on our way to Greymouth. Got a rewarding view as a bonus!

On a trip around the South Island with the Gadget family. Crossing the South Island picking up some caches along the way. Visit to this waterfall and bridge with family history enshrined. Tftc.
Bought an ice cream from the cafe up the road and took a little stroll to this gorgeous spot. Thanks so much for placing a cache here, otherwise we probably wouldn't have come. Very satisfying find after a couple of dnfs today.
Had to use my phone for this one, hence the somewhat terse initial log. Nice walk to GZ, Mrs KC then walked back to dabble her feet in the creek while I pondered the possibilities. After a few fruitless searches I spotted the obvious spot and the container was soon in hand.
Logbook was very wet and needs replacing and the container needs a thorough drying.

Got this on our second attempt thanks to a hint from ecfam. Cheers papa. Well hidden, but also damp log and wet box.
Started searching at night at the first lamppost since I didn’t see any other lights in the area. Couldn’t find it there and saw that someone had mentioned a switch. None to be found down where I was and so continued up the path. Found the lamp but the bulb is broken so couldn’t check out the falls. Quick find once I found the right light
Also to note found 5 dollars in front of the light! If anyone recognises it let me know aha
Decided to grab this one before our walk up to summit of Avalanche peak. Took a while to find this one. Well hidden luckily it was early in the morning and Muggle free. Tftc
I decided to do something that I love doing, that is, caching, on Valentines Day incorporating a bit of a drive as well.
A nice tall waterfall seen in the daylight.
Cheers for the cache.

Have found before, but on a trip with cab165 I couldn’t/ wouldn’t go without her getting it. After remembering where it was, I made her go in for the retrieval...
Found with odgersaj. Beautiful spot and a far kinder walk than the one to the punch bowl. TFTC
Nice hiding spot and excellent place! Thanks! Together with RimantasV & Gedvydas
I finally got out of the car and wandered up this track... so short... so worth it. Took me longer than I would have liked to actually find the cache though! Celebrated afterwards by dipping my feet and head in the water... so refreshing... but as hot as the weather is today, this water is still too damn cold for swimming lol. GLB1721 TFTC (4063)
