Today Taurus Six and I were humming and aaghing as to what the geocaching plan should be for the day. We finally decided to pack up a picnic and do a bush circuit collecting straggler geocaches along the way. The ones that we just have not gotten around to getting until now. The circuit involved heading out to Collie , through to Harris Dam , along the bush tracks then joining the Harvey Quindanning Road into Harvey then across through Uduc and onto the Forrest Highway back to Bunbury. The day started quite chilly but it was beautiful and sunny so by mid morning it was a perfect sunny day. Actually probably too perfect for this time of year !! Thoroughly enjoyed getting out to the bush areas which we mainly had to ourselves, along with lots of tuneful birds.
This was a seventh cache find of the day. And we were very keen to find a 2004 cache , not so many around these days. We drove for a little while then undertook the last 400 metres on foot. Which was a fabulous walk , with lots of birds around to add to the enjoyment. Cache blindness at first, so we were happy to finally have the cache in hand . Thanks for the cache TEAM LANDCRUISER and for providing a great excuse to come out to this interesting area.

Thanks TEAM LANDCRUISER for placing and maintaining this cache. Out and about with Barnzy12 getting a few smily faces.
Cache replaced in burnt tree hollow with a tactix container under a small piece of burnt out wood
Out today with C10 sorting out some caches from Armadale to Bunbury that have been on the radar.
The main goal was the cache at Nagna Hill Cache 18, a 2002 published cache which is one of the oldest 100 still active in Australia.
Was a great day out with a dozen or so finds, many from the 2004 era.
Thanks for the fun.

On our way home from a trip down south and we decided to make a detour to collect this cache to fill another month in on the Jasmar calendar. Left the geo car close to the road and decided on a nice bush walk to grab the cache. Pleasant walk and the cache was located easily and in good condition. Tftc
Hello neighbour. Love the paint job! In our excitement at finding your great cache, in the bush, we forgot to empty out the leaves. They did a good job, it's completely dry inside. Left a pathtag for the next finder....don't forget to log it on pathtag said.com. TFTC Team Landcruiser

Dropped by after reading If's log.
If has actually found the original cache still had the name on the top.
Not sure what happened to the replacement but we did a search and couldn't find it.
The original was a little worse for wear so some panel beating and a new coat of paint should help in the interim.
Could the next finder please empty out the leaves, we filled it with some as the cache was still damp when we were leaving and thought it may help the contents from sticking.
You're now looking for a red ochre (rust stop) ammo can.

This little knob is actually shown on me GPS map
But getting there was definitely going to involve walking today.
From the road junction all looked well with the scenery.
I parked the geomobile at the side of Lancaster and hoofed it
The trails are all blocked off, and after a hundred metres the scenery changed from green forest to scorched landscape [:o]
The scorching continued all the way to GZ.
GZ was located in the middle of a bulldozer scrape [:o]
One side was burnt earth, the other side untouched by the flames
Fingers crossed !!
I wandered around for a good 15 minutes.
Where was this olde fallen tree ??
I eventually discovered the cache
Er !!
It was sitting in the remains of on olde fallen tree which had been burnt out by the fire.
Inside the rusted box was the expected pile of ashes.
Well the cache container is still in tact
So I stuck a new logbook page in the large tin.
What the cache needs now is a Plastic container and new logbook placed inside it !!
TFTC and stroll !!

Now that the dust is starting to settle from the WA Goes BIG 2015 event, I can finally get back out there and do some caching of my own. Teamed up with geobuddy Mark and headed southwards, yet again. Have had this one on my radar for quite a while now, so bit the bullet and came prepared to "fix" it myself. Being such an old cache, I thought it needed preserving. Happy to finally have my smiley here and hope others will continue to come out and find it too. Thanks TEAM LANDCRUISER
Think this one is missing, so hope the next cachers to come out this way can bring a replacement cache with them to keep this old cache alive.
Oh dear! I had been anticipating the triumph of finally getting out here and claiming my smiley on this particular cache, seeing as it has been taunting me for so long. But it just wasn't meant to be.
Getting there was relatively easy, thanks to ~Tango~ who volunteered to take me out on an adventure after a disappointing festive season (illness struck the entire family, and it wasn't food poisoning either). But feeling less queasy and somewhat optimistic, we set out today with numberous caches down Collie way on our agenda.
After going and finding the Very Naughty Cache for my companion, we headed on down to try and find this one. We drove to about 370m of the cache, then hoofed it in to gz. Despite my companion having already found this one in the past, reorienting himself after reading previous logs about the coords being 20m out, which made us expand, our search area significantly, we still came up empty handed.
~Tango~ showed me the spot where he found it last time, but no trace of the cache was evident today. Think it is highly likely that the cache has gone awol, but am also hoping that someone will be able to come out and replace the cache so that this listing (published in 2004, so it is a real old timer) stays active for future cachers to enjoy.
Thanks anyway TEAM LANDCRUISER

Used 4wd for most of the way. Coordinates are off but doesn't take long to figure it out. TFTC. Boo, Jen, el and me.
First find of 7 for the day as we head to Quindanning to pick up a few caches. A bit of a walk here as 4WD tracks have been blocked off, but we got to GZ and followed clues from previous logs to quickly find the cache. Contents and cache in good condition but co-ords out by approx 20 metres as mentioned in previous logs TNLN and headed back to our Landcruiser. TFTC TEAM LANDCRUISER
Was in a bit of a rush so didn't go via the 4WD track, instead left the kids and wife in the car and did a quick dash to the cache from the 2WD track. Lucky to spot the cache off to the side about 20m short of where my GPS was sending me- thank god given the number of appropriate hiding spots around.

We went to do this one last Saturday after the Captain Fawcett 4x4 Event that finished further long. As it was late in the afternoon and we were both tired we decided to give it a miss.
I didn't realise until last night that it would be back on my to do list so soon
I had seven caches on my list and I only needed five to reach my 1300th find but since I got a dnf earlier in the day this one fell one short of my mini milestone.
The walk from the car to gz, just under 600m wasn't too bad after all but on way back we realised where we could have driven closer to gz. Not to worry as got some exercise after the 'bad' lunch I had
As quick find about 20 NW of gz coordinates
Now finally I have a smiley here instead of always thinking I must do that one
TFTC I took TB

We always like an old type cache and so when the GPSr said 500 odd meters away and we saw a side track we pulled over. And headd down the track only to find it was dug up and further up was a large log over the track so we headed off on foot. The track then diverged from the needle so bing light bush and only a couple of hundred meters away we headed straight for GZ. We let. The GPSr settled but then the Geo senses kicked and we made the find about 16m from our indicated GZ. We dropped in a travel bug and re hid. We completed the signing duties and re hid. We made a line straight back to the car with light bush bashing. TFTC.

We found it after driving down many different tracks (it's like a maze in there!). We really should have followed the directions Team Landcruiser put in the cache information before heading out there.
It also didn't help that the GPS was spazzing out under the tree and cloud cover and that there were soooo many places it could have been. After declaring a DNF and heading back, I spotted it out of the corner of my eye.
Cheers for the hunt!

Nice little trek. As memtioned in other comments the area is being worked on by the forrestry department. If you go on a Sunday you shouldn't have any problems. Access to the side track has been removed and its hard to pick where it once met the main track. Use the co-ords to get close, walk into the bush until you find the track and its easy to back track out then drive your 4x4 in. I drove my X-trail in without issue so anything equal or bigger won't be troubled. Nice area of bushland. Shame there are not more Caches in the area.
Went for a Fathers day drive with the family and found it OK with the help of some of the previous cache finders comments. Took nothing left a pack of water bombs. Nice easy walk through the bush but might want to take the aeroguard if your heading out to this one.
Parked out on the gravel rd, and hiked in here. My gz was out, it was 20m NW. Thanks to last cacher who had me almost right on the cache. Great day for a stroll thru the bush. Tftc
Found Dingo's Knob for the 2nd time on our way to hide our first geocache (Asquith Bridge). We also found a travel bug and took that and put the in our cache too.

Found it. Out caching with Mrs Walker and the wee Walkers for Father Days 2011. The 4x4 trail is no longer accessible by vehicle as a very large tree has been felled across the trail and I assume Dept of Natural Resources or the like, dug some pits and placed some gravel piles to block traffic into the bush. Otherwise, the cache was a leisurely 500m walk from were we parked. Cache container and contents are in excellent order, but we used the hint of a previous cacher's log and found it at S33.04.533 and E116.01.940 instead of the listed coords. Happy caching from Saskatchewan, Canada. Left Travel Bug, Took pocket knife. TFTC.
Out and about with Scottlaws in Harvey for some fishing, 4wding and geocaching.
Was a bit of a hike to get to the cache, good for the waistline!
Was also the first cache for our geopup 'Juke'.

Found on the way home from a day out Swimming @ Louge Brook and Caching around Hoffmans , Done a Few of these Team Landcruiser CachesToday,We Wish you guys were still caching, you sure were good at it. Thanks again Team Landcruiser.
Took several tracks all over the place and got within 100 metres. Cache was about 20 metres away from co-ords. Still a good hunt in a strange enviroment.......
We were looking in the wrong place initially because we had put the second track co-ords into GPS and were searching for around 10 minutes before we realised our error. Once we put correct co-ords in it was a 200 mt trek to GZ, however we located the cache 23 mts away from where GPS was indicating. Not sure if it is ''cache creep'' or not but we found the cache at 33 04.534 116 01.938.

Found this with Konggirls. Was a pleasant walk through the bush. Took some time to find the cache as we worked around the 'spot'. Left folding brush and continued our drive around the area, exploring the tracks. Thanks.
Joint effort again with SuttonD. Left folding brush.and card. Took nothing. TFTH
As noted by Beagues it seems every track we went down had either a pile of dirt or a tree across it. Walked in through the bush which was pleasant. Found about 20m away from where we thought gz was. Thanks TEAM LANDCRUISER
dropped travel bug named "flea bitten" appropriate spot "Dingo's Knöb" took pet pet brush and rubber dice ,left pocket knife and pencil with rubber on top
The environazis have been at work in this area, cutting trenches and felling trees over all of the tracks that lead from all access roads. the closest point that you can now reach is approx 550M, and that access is via lancaster road.
if you were to drive between trees (not that i did) you should be able to get within 150M.
The cache was easy to find once GZ was attained.

We came in from south after visited Damn Harry cache. It took us 2 hours before we arrived here after back tracked after each end tracks due to the dam, the gates, etc. before reached Harvey-Quindanning Road. We planned to do 3 more caches in the north after this cache, however they were postponed after getting the dark and of course we were pretty tired at the end. It took us a while to find the cache and we didn’t read Aushiker’s coorindates in the log note, and finally found it in the dark. We couldn’t remember what we took or put except our calling card. We were looking forward to collect TLC’s card but none. Nevermind. We enjoyed it and thanks for the challenge and the cache, TLC

Found it at 9:07 AM after visiting Rotting Timbers. Drove to within 300 metres of the cache (only cause I turned right, would have been closer otherwise!) in my 2WD. You might need reassess where you can take a 2WD TLC . Found the coordinates out, so posted mine. Still found it really easy. Took map demo CD and left yellow lanyard. Thanks TLC for the hunt. Another area to explore on foot.
We hadn't been out for a few weeks so decided for a drive in the bush. Liked the look of DIngo's Know and set forth. Got there after lunch and had some trouble locating as GPS was out quite away and Geomum found it whilst on Snake patrol as it was quite warm.

Dingo's Knob has only ever been a name on a CALM map to me. So I couldn'd resist checking out this cache to find out more about it while I was in the area. Got there at about 10 AM. I left a comb and took a card. Thanks for the journey.

We found this cache after a pleasant drive back from 'Rotting Timbers'. The road both ways is in very good condition, so future cachers should consider doing both since the're both on the same road. T: Textas and the Little Miss Shining TB (headed for Perth), L: A set of coasters and a dead rat. Thanks to TLC for a great spot
Headed east from Bore-d in Preston by Elmofreak and made our way up into the hills. Had a bit of trouble finding the track in because I was entering coords as Aus84 instead of WGS84 - silly me. Had the pleasure of meeting the Chrisbets at the site. They were much better prepared than us ...so when it started raining they didnt get wet!!
Good spot - the boys took the two smileys - I left a map CD, some beads and a plastic motorcycle.
Cheers

12.25hrs - Arrived in a downpour! Beaten by seconds by the friendly "The Explorer" (or rather his wife found it!) and boys. Unfortunately the inside of cache might have gotten a tiny bit damp because of the rain when we opened it. A well set up cache, and you certainly need your GPS to find it.

Needed a walk in the forrest so I decided to have look for Dingo's Knob. It is an easy drive and walk. The wind was strong today and loud in the trees. This is only the third cache I have found so I was pleased to be the first to find Dingo's Knob. The old Blazer 12 got me to within about 15 meters. I took the first finders certificate and left a fishy key ring
