(Sat 18 Mar 2017) Dang! I was right on GZ according to the GPS but no cache made itself visible [v] However lots of Monster-Sized "Orb Weaver" spiders did and I was kind of nervous looking with them hovering above me [:o] I had to abandon my search. Next time maybe TFT challenge anyways, Nibs
Well. My dad and I tried to do this one and Dads GPS was stuffing up. Mine wasn't though and dad kept leading me up the wrong way, so I got stuck several times and my hand is now hurting from scratchy trees. Anyway we found it and my GPS was right the whole time.
Approached GZ from the roadway above. Not a lot of life in the vegetation at the moment, so easy access. After circling around what my phone called GZ for 10 mins, I decided to expand my search. The cache was soon in hand. SLTLNL. TFTC Nibs!!
My approach by bicycle must have been a good one
A short scramble down into the gulch had me at GZ without any tunneling
And with only five minutes of poking around, I found a well hidden cache [^]

Gotcha!
Took a walk through the tunnel, came out the other side, and found a cache. Eventually.
Took a little longer that it should have, but I found it!
Thanks Nibs
ZZzz..
Well, I slipped and slid down the hill. I walked through a tunnel. I slipped and slid up another hill. I wandered about a bit. I made a find at a very sneaky hide. I walked back through the tunnel and slipped and slid up another hill. And this is fun??!! Thanks Nibs
walked to gz from the opposite end of tunnel which was difficult getting down steep embankment. found the cache and an easier way out after a short search. tftc tnsl
Great terrain! A quick find on a sunny day off work.
With so long since the last find I was hoping it hadn't gone
missing and thankfully it was an easy and painless find.

Bit of Bush Bashing to get down. Had to watch my step, it sure is steep in parts
A quick search & I had the cool cache in my hand. Lucky this didn't get washed away in the recent floods. Cheers, Nibs. Find #408

Found with my father, Ducat, and nephews. Youngsters enjoyed the tunnels and I enjoyed exploring new territory. Thanks, Nibs.
Ventured down and up the creek with two Grandsons and thier Aunty who is also a cacher.Found the going a little hard as my vision has recently become mono.
After searching a while Glencoe 7 had the cache in hand.
TNLN thanks Nibs.

Ventured out today with 3LG for a caching adventure.

Oh my goodness!! What a trek down and back up! Entered from the worst side bit once down was not going back up until i had found this one! After many slides, bites, stabs and laughs cache was inhand signed and we were back up the hill hand by hand. tftc
Took me a while and in the end PAF ... of course I was essentially looking right at it as hints were given.
We tried this one a little while ago but after all the rains it was very slippery and approaching from the wrong side we were faced with a big drop ahead of us so we aborted to try another day, well the weather was perfect today so we retried this one (from the right side of the river) and geowife had the container in hand in a couple of minutes of searching, after heading back up to road level i realised i had logged it as 1/7 so back down to change it to 1/8, heading back up the hill i slipped on some sour sobs pulling a muscle in my leg making the return journey quite painful. TFTC TNLN
Attempted this cache with Loki'Nap.
Managed to find our way down easy enough and then proceeded to find the clue.
We must have searched all over this area for a good 30 minutes and just couldn't find it??
Either this is a very tricky hide or it could be that its tricky in winter with all the weed growth?
Will attempt another time if it is found by someone else.

3LG and I though we would give this a try, but when we got close and saw the drop down decided to try this during the day so we can see the area better. I'm sure once you get down it will be fine, but during the early AM discretion was used for the sake of safety getting down.
This was the second time, but this time I'd brought the trusty other half to search the area and lucky I did The cache was soon in hand, signed the log and headed away. Of course, we stopped for a minute or too in the tunnel. Fantastic acoustics! TFTC!
Damn, I forgot to log this at the time - and now it's 16 months later! I found this with Bennymacca whilst on a long walk from Slate Creek #1 all the way to the other side of Main North Road. Great that it's been there so long.
Great cache! Locker101 and I searched for quite a while to get this one. Can't believe this cache has been here since 2004!
SO MANY UNFINISHED (or unstarted?) FENCES! I don't know whether I was supposed to be there or not, but after about 30 minutes or so of falling over, getting up, then repeating the process, I read the logs and found that it hadn't been found since last year :/ I think I need a heads up before I embark on this journey again. I thank whoever decided to put that wall of rocks and wire up, because I could never have gotten up and out of that embankment without it!
Did the trek down to GZ .... kept on wondering all the way going down .... now if I slipped and fell, I wonder how long it would take for someone to find me? ... so with that in mind, was extra careful in going down.
Got to GZ ... found little brother ... searched ... but came up with a DNF today ... quite overgrown around GZ ... so I suppose it is here somewhere, just not tuned in to it today
One for another day ...

Tried once before with little success (obviously). Today was much better, although my dog was tempted to try entering the canyon the short way. I suggested he take me the slightly slower way (beside the bridge).
Even though it should have been obvious where the hide was, I still took a while to clue in to where a container of that size should be hiding.
We took a much easier way out.
Thanks for a good walk and scramble.

Good find. took us a while to actually find it. GPS co-ords are about 3-4m off but we got there in the end with the help of the hint.
What an adventure and expedition!
I was only about 100m from GZ when I parked the car however that small distance was an interesting journey!
I started walking and could smell the smell of rotting flesh.
Soon after, I saw a dead chook in a bag (with a foot protruding, hence how I knew it was a chook)
Then I came across a steep and slippery slope and finally made my way to the bottom.
On the way down, I passed a cave in the cliff and again smelt rotting flesh and saw blowflies going in and out but this time I was NOT going anywhere near that cave entrance just in case I again did not like what I saw.
Here's hoping that the flies were only going in and out to seek the coolness of the cave!
Next came the spider dodge and that meant that while walking up the creek, I used my hiking poles to shift the spiders' webs to a spot on one side so that I coudl get past without wearing the multitude of small and cute spiders' webs that were spanning the creek bed.
Then a quick search near GZ and the great hint made doing the locus cache very easy!
The dog roses at GZ are very pretty with their pale pink flowers [^]
When I left, I left via the SE and this was an easier route than the NE one that I used to come in!

drivven over the big brother a thousand times, never knew. A bit of sliding down action to get there. Roses smelt nice.
while looking for the cache saw a little brown snake and scared us half to death! nice cache though
Fairly easy find, once I'd figured out how to reach GZ! Clue made sense shortly after arrival. Thanks for the cache. TNLN SL

Thank you for the cache.
My boys enjoyed the area climbing up and down the steep sides doing pretend rock climbing.
Spent quite a while looking for the cache, we were almost about to give up - the hint was a big help - lots of grass had covered where the cache was.

First find on a fruitful day of caching. Found that my shoes were unsuitable for the terrain, and had a rough scramble down to GZ. Found after a couple of trips up and down the gully.

After days of hot weather, finally I'm back without a GPS and had this in hand very quickly. Last time it had poured with rain and was very slippery, so we didn't really attempt.
And as luck would have it, as I walked out it started to rain, so that was a end to caching for the day.

Not so easy to get to, but well worth the effort.
This has to be a favorite for the shape of the container matching the theme,
nice work Nibs, thanks

Took a little while to find the little devil who was hiding in his safe location. Water had been high here but all was well inside the cache. Took TB to move on to Vic.

After last nights rains, it was really slippery down there and lots of stuff has washed it's way down to a fast flowing creek. I looked around the upper section, and the hint made no sense to me - I'm game, but not that game. Maybe another day. Cheers.
Found as part of TWDG Father's day expedition. Walked down from Lilliput for this one. Nice hide.

Although not the longest walk we have done to find a cache, I understand the terrain rating. While in the bottom of the creek, I was thinking "How the hell am I going to get out of here???" Not being the fittest person around, I ended up dragging/walking up with the assistance of the wire holding the rocks in place. Thanks for the cache Nibs. Took nothing, left nothing.
Headed out north with Honeysucker to start clearing the area above Grand Junction Road.
Went to the wrong side first but got to the right side in the end. TFTC.

had to watch the tunnel vision as we crossed the road but as we made our way to the cache we could focus on that , soon had it found.
First cache I found on a night hike with the Beefacres Venturers. Interesting getting down the creek - much larger banks than I expected, but found it easily in the end!
Yes there it was, in plain sight, after one of us slipped and fell on top of it and moved its cover. Apart from the tauma of the fall, which was so close to the running creek. What a beautiful sight through eyes full of tears. The journey back up the slippery hill was very difficult with the injuries, one of us slipped again and twisted the ankle. OOOOOOCH!!!!! more tears of pain and laughter.
Our second attempt at this one. Last time with the iPhone the signal was non existent in this area. Now with Garmin Oregon 550 it was easier. Once we worked out which tunnel it was, figured out the name and how it related to the location and found its baby brother.... there it was almost in plain sight. TNLN. TFTC.
Perth 10.4. I was happy that getting to the area was not too hard, but the GPS was all over the place and it took me ages to understand what I was meant to be doing. Eventually it all came together and there was no further embarrassment. Thanks.

This was cache # 49 of 77 for the day, in the company of Alansee on our five day long weekend Adelaide caching Bonanza. certainly was one of the biggest under road drains I have seen, we had no trouble on getting to the cache and finding it. My thanks to Nibs for the cache.

now we have the 100 find trackable we are just getting around to logging it through.

Spent about 20 minutes searching near the baby brother and and surrounding area but no luck will try again another day.
