After spending the morning in kayaking to MacCabe Corner, we headed back toward our caravan park in Paringa in convoy with Wollaston and HansandLinda. Detouring this way to grab just a few other caches wasn't *too* much out of our way We searched unsuccessfully perilously close to the edge of the cliff then cast our net further afield with more success. Thanks for find #5762TNLN

After a week of caching around Adelaide incorporating The Great Leap Forward event, HansandLinda, MeandDe and I are working our way towards Canberra. At Paringa for a couple of days of rest and maintenance. We had a couple of target caches today at MacCabes Corner and grabbed this one on our way back to camp. Another great day for caching. TFTC Team Piggy your cache Bio-Sphere Multi that we found today. We are camped in Paringa for a few days with Wollaston and MeandDe. A plan was hatched to attempt The virtual and the multi at MacCabe Corner. After kayaking upon and back we loaded the cars and slowly made our way back to Paringa. Not without finding a few caches along the way .Find Count: 19073

Wow that sure was a drive rather than a walk. But oh so worth it once the GZ was calculated. Thanks for the warning about the Cliff edge. I actually started to doubt my numbers until I read some of the logs which encouraged me to keep looking.

What a fabulous place. Pa had dropped me nearby while he climbed the lookout. But the view from here was almost as good. TFTC Team Piggy. SL

We spent a few days in Renmark and found a few caches. This one was our favourite. Spectacular views! Thank you for placing it.

We gathered the info for this cache yesterday, then ventured up to GZ today. The coords had us looking in a cachey looking spot, but after no luck widened our search and found the cache.

Caching in the area we picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.

This was a great multi, enjoyed each waypoint and the final! Caches and contents were good and adding to our favourites.

ThanksTeam Piggy for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.

We have joined forces with FelixII so we are off to see what we can find today. We had a fantastic day wandering over the borders finding caches in three states. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on our geo-guided tour.

18-Jul-22
Staying in Renmark for a short holiday, using caching as a guide as to where we travel. 41 caches were found along and around the state border. This cache is one that was found today.

We visited the first waypoint yesterday evening and gathered some information at the interesting monument. After using some resources, we had enough information to derive the final coordinates. At the final, the cache was found in good condition for its age. All good here and great views all around. Cheers.

Find #4246 on 18 Jul 2022.

I started this multi a few years ago when I was in the river land, today I happened to be up around HZ, such a beautiful area to say the least. Cache is all good

Today we made our way around the river land checking out some of the tourist sights with the main goal to get to MacCabe Corner and a stop at the brewery plus find a few caches along the way.

Thanks for the cache

Well, from the attributes: "Takes less than one hour"! That might work for some cachers who have the brain power to process the required information, but this "bear of little brain" made a complete hash of it - more than once! It has taken me a full fortnight. But what an adventure ensued! There was only one ambiguous clue for finding intermediate waypoints, and of course, this "bear" chose the wrong option! Back to the drawing board (calculation pad) and it came clear - aha, I know that spot. Next, resolve the co-ords for the next point. It would have helped if I had read the cache description again, so another drive in the wrong direction resulted. The drive was not wasted though, I thoroughly enjoyed it, met some interesting people, had an encounter with an emu and chick and bagged a few traditionals in this (totally wrong) area. On reviewing the cache description and my calculations it all fell into place and the correct co-ords finally made sense. It seems that the only point that I did not mess up were the ones for the final! I had glanced at the hint and did not immediately understand the Team Piggy cipher, but another look solved that as I was about to widen my search. I was happy to access the coded hint as my CotE was waiting in the car and had kindly indulged me in this final part of the quest. The find was made, the log signed and the view from WP3 was well worth all the messing about to get here. Last time I saw these cliffs it was from the water on a houseboat that we shared with my brother-in-law. It was good to see them from this vantage point. TFTC Team Piggy!

A nice stop on our journey across the country from Adelaide to Brisbane with Davidwazza! TFTC!

08-Feb-21
Moving from Adelaide to Brisbane, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I decided to drive the long distance to make the opportunity a holiday, taking 12 days and passing through Victoria, New South Wales, and then finally arriving in Queensland. We spent the first few days in SA's Riverland, visiting Morgan, Berri and Renmark; and then drove through Mildura in Victoria. In NSW, we stopped at Hay, Parkes, Merriwa, Tamworth, Port Macquarie, and Coffs Harbour, and then entered Qld to stop for a night in Robina in the Gold Coast.

Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I travelled around the Murray Riverlands, visiting Loxton, Paringa, and Renmark. We started the day from Berri, travelling south and finding a few miscellaneous geocaches. Once at Loxton, we completed the *Historical Loxton* Adventure Lab, found a few geocaches along the river, and then had lunch in town. We then drove towards Paringa, and took a walk around Murtho and Headings Cliffs. We then proceeded back through Renmark, and finished off our evening with a walk at Wilabalangaloo and completing the Berri *A River Contemplation* Adventure Lab.

I visited Waypoint 1 on 21/08/2020, and it was then that I collected the answers. A few smart guesses were made, such as the "I think" palm trees count, and fluke guess with the poker machines introduction. I did try to sniff around the hotel entrance, but I couldn't find any signs or plaques, and even internet research didn't yield much. Waypoint 2 was computed, but I didn't get a chance to visit that way during that riverland trip.

However this trip, we stopped off at Waypoint 2 to obtain those numbers, and then passed through Waypoint 3 to finalise our working for this multi-cache (I had already made a hunch to what those answers were). Consequently, we detoured close to GZ, were we parked, and walked/jogged to GZ. We spent a fair amount of time looking for this one, and I was starting to doubt my working. As it turned out, the cache was very well hidden away, and so eventually with some perseverance, we made the cache find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. We were greeted with great views from the Waypoint 3 and GZ. Thanks Team Piggy for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was also nice to have found this kinda oldie 07/2004 hidden cache.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

We've been waiting to do this one for a while now.. a couple of nice local spots to visit. GZ was so close to another cache we found a few weeks ago. Tftc #110

27-May-20
Found on a trip to the Riverland with FeatherWaite.

It was nice to be able to finally get out and about again for a few days of travelling, camping and caching. We were lucky with the weather, with mostly sunny days, relatively warm temperatures and no rain to speak of.

We targeted specific caches and areas and found a good selection of traditionals, multis, puzzles, letterboxes, a wherigo and an earthcache. Most of the containers and contents were in reasonable condition, although we did have to replace a few.

Surprisingly we didnt come across any many other people on our travels. Perhaps it was just a product of where we went, or maybe people are holding off for the June long weekend.

We stopped at the starting location, collected the information and eventually made our way north to WP2 and then GZ. Fortunately we were headed that way anyway. Great views near GZ!

Thanks Team Piggy for the cache.

19-Jan-19
We collected the information at the first point after dinner at the club. With the next co-ordinates worked out we jumped in the car and ventured to it. A great view and quick stop to collect the info we needed and off we went again. At the next stop the view was absolutely amazing! Especially as the sun was setting. We were happy to be calculating the last waypoint with so many numbers and sims running through our heads and a few jottings later we were on our way to the final location. Container was a small not a regular but found and log book signed. Overall a very well thought out multi and some great locations! TFTC

19-Jan-19
Grabbed the numbers for the first stage but couldn't work out how to get there. Met fellow cachers 4Moule for dinner at the club and rechecked our numbers and found our error. Correct numbers inputted and we were on our way...back to a location we'd actually visited earlier in the day (if only we'd know!), but by now the sun was beginning to set and we were given a show of colour. On to the next stage and the sunset continued to wow us, things just for better by the passing minutes. With the final numbers obtained it was just a quick jump to the final GZ as dark was falling. Thanks 4Moule for joining us for the adventure.
Another exciting multi cache ticked off our list. TFTC

26-Sep-18
Grabbing a few caches while on holidays with Happy Feet this afternoon and decided to head out for a drive including taking our father for a drive and in some cases a walk. This one had been a little work gathering the required numbers while out and about in Renmark and after working out the final co-ord's we set out this afternoon before it got too dark and went on the hunt for this hide. It was soon in hand as Happy Feet and I scoured the area, took in some great views while adding our name to the log, thanks Team Piggy for the interesting multi and hide, particularly the views from the GZ.

26-Sep-18
In Renmark for a family holiday for the week and having the opportunity to grab a few finds with Happy pants. Headed out this way to take in the great views and explore the area. We discovered some good hides and had no DNF's As always, there was plenty of laughs and fun had, along the way.

We decided as it was getting late in the day, it might be a good time to take in some scenery along the river and check out this mulit.Grabbing all the info along the way. After having some number, we made our way to the GZ, then spent a few minutes searching around before making the cache find. It was a nice view but a little too close to the edge, for my liking.

I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the start of 2018 my average was only 47 words per log, which seems a long way from the 100 target. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 7000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 50 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.

Thanks Team Piggy for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

An enjoyable multi that took us to places we hadn't intended on this trip. Most of the questions were easily answered and the final location was another interesting place on the Murray River. Glad Mr Beetle didn't accompany to the final location as he would have been panicking, given his fear of heights or cliff edges. Thanks.

Good one "Team Piggy"! Mrs B and I worked through this multi while picking up a couple of other caches along the way and enjoyed touring around the area. And did you know why pigs love truffles?

Well to lift a report from the New York Times, it seems "the explanation relates to the sex life of pigs - and perhaps of human beings as well. Researchers in West Germany have found that truffles contain large quantities of a substance also synthesized in the testes of boars. In the boars it is secreted into their saliva when they court females and the chemical is twice as abundant in truffles as in the blood plasma of boars. Furthermore, it and related steroids are produced in the testes of human males and secreted by their armpit sweat glands. It can also be detected in the urine of women." Er, need to know?

The point being that truffles trigger the "nooky" klaxon in pigs and humans so that's why pigs can sniff them out and why humans like to eat them. Bizarre research but there you have it! Now where can I find some truffle?

What's this got to do with the cache? Read and decrypt the clue!

TFTC (and it's now one of my favourites - for the views provided, not the truffles sadly!)

Started working this one out with sesblocker. Calculated the coords for WP2 and realised that we'd already been there for a cache. Judging by the clues for WP3, we had already completed a cache there as well. Being in Renmark for a brief stop, we didn't fancy revisiting these places when there were others left unexplored. We were surprised that WP2 could be so close to the traditional cache nearby. Thanks for a little bit of interesting history. It's a shame we couldn't finish it.

Like The Neighbs said, we began this multi and then realised where it was taking us. Decided to do some other local caches instead. Maybe next time...

Superb views, but unfortunately a fear of heights at top of the cliffs and a gammy knee did not help with the stability for searching. Will come back when my knee is better and I can do a more thorough search.

Love multi's, not sure why some people do not do them. At GZ, we had a quick search and CP came up with the cache. We had the container fall apart in our hands so the container was replaced, contents kept if in good shape and the cache is good to go again. It is now slightly smaller than the original cache container. TFTH Team Piggy.

Found (eventually) with AussieM&M and Team707. On arriving at the GZ we found the cache container in pieces. Rescued the contents (logbook still good) and place in a small black painted screw top plastic container .............. all that we had with us!!! Thanks Team Piggy for the hide!!!

I had a little time after work today to finish what I starter a couple days ago. I found the stages easily and made my way to the finish line. The sights were bueatiful but the prize was not to be. Reading over the logs and seeing the cache is in bad shape and could be missing.

The container needs some care as it has shattered.

South Australia 2013 with Sol de Lune. We headed off on 12/4 and arrived home on 28/4. The trip was to visit the SA series so more time could be spent at the Mega itself next year. We did a huge variety of caching around Murray Bridge, the Mid North, Yorke Peninsula and Whyalla Region. Apart from one wet night and two wet days we were able to spend heaps of time caching.

This cache has been a multi year project. I started the this on a trip to Adelaide and now it is time to finish. The last wp is amazing and even here at GZ it is a great place to see what is going on. The container is pretty mush finished, but it is still there.

Thanks.

Grabbed with albida on day 1 of our 2 week caching run from Canberra to, and around, different parts of South Australia including Loxton, Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend, Yorke Peninsula and around to Whyalla before heading home via Broken Hill, Cobar and Parkes. We completed a few power trails and left a couple to do when in the area again for next years Mega event.

Albida had started this one on a previous trip and had done a couple waypoints when he was passing, so being here for the last 2 was just a bit of luck for me. However that doesn't take away from whole cache experience. A great GZ and I'm glad was here to see it.

Many thanks Team Piggy for the fun with this one.....

Find #14 on honeymoon with Alex-theSquirrel

Was hesitant at first to try this cache, what with three waypoints before the final location would be revealed, but very glad that we decided to in the end. Got stuck at Wpt1 looking for the last 3 clues, but eventually got there and found the info we were looking for. Had been to Wpt3 previously and found the nearby cache (approached from a houseboat!) so didn't bother to re-find that one! As noted, cache needs maintenance, but happy to report that cache contents are dry and we replaced it with the 'hole' faced downwards. TFTC Smile

Despite some comments that this multi would take about an hour to complete and involve a 40km drive, we decided that the cache had the potential to show us areas of Renmark we had not already seen. We were not disappointed - this was an excellent multi which took us to some great locations with oustanding views. The data collection of each waypoint was straightforward and we were able to make a quick find at GZ. Thanks for a great multi and for the cache Team Piggy. As mentioned in the previous log, the container is very brittle and holed in places (victim of UV exposure?) and needs to be replaced.

18-Mar-12
The container needs to be replaced as it has cracked and has a hole in it and is brittle from age.

This one was done over two days, we had been at waypoint two the day before, if we had only known. At waypoint three we did not read the question particually well and ended up going for a lovely long walk away from GZ. Other then the flies it was pleasant . The cache now sits on the edge, is this due to erosion or cache creep? All is well with all points and the cache. SL TFTC

Beautiful view! Nearly got caught by a boat full of muggles, had to wait 15 minutes for it to pass so I could put the cache back. Log book is wet.

Came here to seek for another cache spotted on my etrex. Searching a bit until we realized it's a multi - and the questions and tasks being a bit lengthy, we'd decide to better head on and find a place to camp overnight. Have never been so deeply into Renmark - so pretty happy having got here. Next time, we'll be better prepared and 'll give it a go.

This concludes our caching day of the 12. Jan 2011, we started in Port Germein. See the Blue Desert Drive TB below to follow our track. Something to celebrate: A personal cache record of 17 caches in 21 attempts! Including this one to the latter.

Nice to find this, been meaning to do it for the last few trips to Renmark, today we had time and found some lovely places to enjoy the Murray views.
Thanks Team Piggy, enjoyed the tour.

A great little trip to go on taking in sites we would not have normally seen. Just loved the scenery at the cache spot. Thanks for a very interesting day and great cache

Some of the first waypoint clue answers are just plain wrong. Found the answers ourselves the first time and ended up in a swamp. Talked to info desk to check answers and got the same coords. Eventually resorted to wikipedia and found our original answers were right - still in the swamp. We used three gps systems to try to find this so can't believe it's our equipment. We even tried to guess at the coords in the end but were sent on many wild goose chases to unlikely bushland areas - still no joy in finding WP2. Perhaps some of the cache coordinate details need revising. It doesn't sound like we're the first to have trouble with this.

I recall starting at WP1 last year and giving up due to lack of time, as well as getting myself frustrated by not seeing where the information containing the last three answers lay.

The same happened this time, but in a never say die effort the required information was found and it was back on the road again.

This cache was found, but it was a hard effort to stop admiring the views, and I managed a few bonus caches along the way which added to the experience.

Thanks Team Piggy.

Picked the hottest day to tackle this one. Found WP1, WP2 and WP3 OK but when I put the final coords in it said 550 metres that way.

OK there must be a road some where to get in so I circumnavigated and couldn't find one so it was time to grab the only fluid I had - a can of Pepsi Max and head on in.

Got to GZ and found plenty of spots you could hide a cache but nothing there.

My Pepsi Max was empty and the heat was getting "hotter". Grabbed a stick and started working out the final in the sand - ah - there was the problem, I had entered some figures in the wrong order. That meant 200m in the opposite direction from where I started.

Trundled back to where I should have been and found the cache easily - and with a view. TFTC. Big Grin

Find # 90 of 112 finds on our extra long weekend in the Riverland.

A nice tour around the sights of the area that we quite enjoyed. Very glad that we started this before the other caches in town.
