We are in Horsham for a long weekend away. Having never cached in this area, it is going to help us with a number of challenges. The hardest being GCA0HZW, where you need 20 geocaches in each Victorian LGA. We should get that in Horsham, probably not in the West Wimmera, Hindmarsh, and Yarriambiack LGAs that we will all be also visiting. After the event in Horsham and then brunch, it was time to head west to the West Wimmera LGA, stopping at Mt Arapiles first. It was hard keeping my eyes on the road as the mountain kept drawing my eyes to it. It is a very impressive mountain, especially with how flat the rest of the area is.Once on top, the view was even better than expected, and we could see the wind turbines in the far hazy distance. Of course, we had to check out the Trig Point, and then we thought we had better look for this geocache. It was found in good condition with good coordinates. It is great to find another 20 year old geocache. Thanks for the cache, Team Kittens.Hunter
Find 5263 on September 27, 2024 Found while on a family holiday. Today was a rest day in Horsham and surrounding districts picking up a few caches here and there.Wow what a view. After calculating the coords we made the ascent and attempted a haiku in the logbook. All is well with the cache. TFTC teamkittens
Found by Aussie Train Driver 23/06/2024, find number 1786.I parked at the top carpark and walked the 4km circuit which allowed me to get the required information and find the cache on the way back. The walk was a bit of a challenge at places but the views are spectacular. I approached GZ in a more difficult fashion than was necessary and spent some time looking before resorting to the hint - bit of a needle in a haystack! However once I located the cache I realised if I had approached from the easier direction I would have spotted it quickly. Ah well!Stunning views from the lookout near GZ. TFTC!
With the coordinates worked out I headed to GZ. I drove this time as feeling a little lazy. The views from here never disappoint.Thanking you for the Multi-cache that you placed teamkittens
Thanks for the fun little adventure around this beautiful spot, i arrived at gz just in time to enjoy a spectacular sunset. I grabed an unlogged tb from the cache too. It can come on some of my journey with me. The Ragged Rascal Ran is find number 3,058 for me. A fun small multi-cache I enjoyed finding as part of my caching trip to Horsham Rural City. Unless otherwise mentioned above, I found the coordinates to be accurate, the cache in good condition and the log dry and with plenty of room to sign. I am logging this one on Friday 10 Nov 2023 at 7:43 pm and the weather is Few Clouds 30C 16% 3 m/s . Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy teamkittens.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
I’ve had “This Is SA” on my radar for a while. We have been camping out at Wooroonook lakes and while this wasn’t around the corner, it is probably the closest I will be for a while so we decided to head out west to the border. Not only was it in my radar, it will help me finally complete my first and second D/T loops.
Making our way back to camp from the border we stopped in to grab this multi. Some great views from this location and a relatively quick find at GZ.
Thanks teamkittens for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Heading back from Little Desert, we still needed to find a multi for the day, so this was our target. What a top location!
Lots and lots of small tents, obviously a hot spot for rock climbers.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, teamkittens

Can't believe it took me so long to get up here! Well, it is a good 4hrs or so from home.
Short on time, I raced up here and quickly grabbed the cache before back to Halls Gap. Great views today across the valley which made it worth it. Awesome to get an oldie too. Thanks!

Catching ip with a bunch of logs from our epic trip to the Victorian high country. More to follow
Found on the first day of a somewhat impromptu solo caching and camping trip to Victoria from Adelaide.
I had planned to spend a week travelling, caching and camping along the Great Ocean Road, but my travelling companion had to postpone it due to other commitments. I was still keen to go away somewhere this week as well, so decided to head to the western part of the state on my own.
I created a bit of a 'menu' of specific caches of interest before I left in the broad area that I might be in, including this one, and just pottered along fairly casually, taking in the sights and grabbing what I could along the way.
The plaque at the second waypoint is (just) within an area where visitors have been requested not to enter. Numerous temporary signs have been erected around the area to this effect (see attached photo) that may also affect other caches here. However the plaque could be easily read and required information collected from outside the area using binoculars.
Then it was just a short drive and a walk to GZ for some great views!
Thanks teamkittens for the cache.
I'm pretty sure we got the right coords, searched in areas indicated by the hint and no dice. Did see a lot of cut branches, may be worth a check CO
Geocaching is leading us to towns and LGA’s we’ve not visited before. We are aiming to find 31 multi-caches this month and appreciate the information we learn as we travel. We were amazed where this cache took us.
Thank you for your cache and adding to our memorable road trip in regional Victoria. A favourite point from us.

Now this was an adventure which led us to some great scenery. Fantastic! We had tried & failed here last year when we were brand new at Geocaching & had no idea what a multi was. Now with heaps of experience turned a sad blue face into a happy yellow face & also celebrating by leaving a trackable here. Tftc
This had me worried as I often mess up my numbers when completing multi caches. Oh, so pleased to be able to scramble around and find this one.
THanks for the views and the cache teamkittens

Leaving Horsham early we made our way to Hamilton, via an arc which took us close to the SA border (which we are not allowed to cross at the moment) Together with Suscoe, we found a variety of caches in some interesting locations. Major Mitchell was certainly an amazing explorer.
Our thanks to 'teamkittens' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.

Suscoe headed out today for a trip to Hamilton via a wide arc heading out to near the SA border with our good friends, Phetlern.
It was a hot and windy day, with a top of 36 degrees on the car dashboard.
We saw some stunning countryside in places that we have never been to before.
Mt Arapiles was a stand out spot with amazing rocks, stunning views and remarkable countryside.
We were amazed at the green grasslands out here and the trees that were a feature of the whole drive.
Thanks to teamkittens for this terrific cache, what a brilliant location and we were pleased that we took the time to complete this cache. A favourite.

I enjoyed this multi. I did it over two days, staying overnight in the Pines camp ground. I love it here. I did the circuit walk to the road, up to the summit and down Pharos Gully. Awesome. Oh, I found this cache too! TFTC
Found during a visit to Horsham for the week. Today I headed west to visit the Natimuk and Arapiles area, enjoying the driving, the scenery and the caching! Thanks for the cache teamkittens!

We were a bit scared that this oldie was missing but we tried our numbers anyway. The short steep walk to gz was accomplished and the cache was found quickly after taking in the magnificent views.
Thanks teamkittens for bringing us here today and for spot on coordinates.

A dnf for us today. We searched for over half an hour (most likely close to an hour) and no joy. Nevermind... next time maybe.
Info easily calculated the night before after driving down from the summit of Arapiles (great view on a cloudless moonless night)
I decided to do the circuit walk from the campground below, this is a good walk though it was a little slippery in places and a little steep in places (mostly the same places)
Hadn't been to Arapiles before, very reminiscent of the Grampians.
Not many views in the morning, nice and misty.
At GZ the cache was easily found.
Thanks for the cache.

Good ride, great sunset and quick find. First time back at the rock in maybe 5 years. Meant a new rope though! TFTC
After climbing all over the place, I decided to read the hint. Ah, right. Haha. Tftc TNLNSL
Finally ticked this one of not sure how I stuffed this one up so spectacularly last time but the resulting walk was good! This time with Geohusband in tow after a thrashing at hockey at Edenhope we made up for it with 2 super Arapiles caches TFTC
Dnf again. So last time I didn't realize how to approach GZ this time made approach but must have done my calcs wrong as after. 30 minute walk was still 50m away. My hockey game at a Edenhope (where I kept goal like a donkey) was looming so hiked back to car ( looked like a beetroot in the face) and headed off. It's going to take at least a 4th visit to nail this one. TFTH if really is beautiful here and I loved the walk.
Still in Horsham on our tour of Australia.
Today we headed out towards Mt Arapiles and surrounds. A few great caches in some challenging locations. A great day out albeit a bit chilliy with a maximum of 11degrees.
Thanks for your cache to feed our GeoAddiction.

We made a start on this one about a month ago & today is the day that we finally got it done. Spent a bit of time searching for it (after enjoying the view), was about to call it when I noticed a spot I hadn't checked & there it was. Really well hidden TFTC
Enjoyed the tour round the coordinates even though I have been here many times. This is the first time I had a chance to work through the multi. Alas didn't have the time to spend long looking at GZ but enjoyed the view. Too many possible hiding spots and plenty of extra trees lying on the ground made it a bit tricky. I will return. Tftc hunt
We took the road to the top, and soon had the cache in hand. What a stunning vista! Thanks so much for bringing us back here and for the cache. Grabbed the TB.

Heading over to Mount Arapiles to grab a few caches and some sights on a good Saturday arvo drive.
Took a bit of time around the rocks to work where GZ was and with a couple of interesting locations and plenty of people around I was soon on my way.
I must say that is the biggest plaque I have seen, but then again it is on a good sized rock.
Getting up to GZ was a bit of a climb but I was soon there and with cache in hand and name in log.

Found yesterday with My brother louie. I figured out the coordinates while my brother and dad did a rock climb at a near by crag. once they were finished we hoped in the car and went to the coordinates. I was annoyed to discover that the cache was where I had done a 10 K run to only hours earlier. great cache, thanks teamkittens for the hide.
Decided on a country drive for some sightseeing, and picked up a few caches along the way.
Enjoyed collecting the required information, at each waypoint.
Did the calculation, and made our way to GZ for a quick find. Signed, and replaced.
What a great location, and worth a favourite point from us.
Many thanks for placing this cache, teamkittens, for us and others to find.

After making a mistake with numbers yesterday , returned and with a bit hunting around and the hint the gps was close, were lucky enough yesterday to be invited up to top of fire tower after fire spotter [ muggle ]asking if we had found it as he thought it was down in car park area , which it is not , had great views of salt lake which he said had filled in last rain but would only last a couple of days in this heat, 40 degrees today, had cuppa at Nati Cafe on way home before the heat sets in. Thanks for showing us this fantastic place, we will certainly be back to camp and explore. Today the area was full of tents housing school children who was have a great time of the rocks.

My first Geocache. Great hiding place, although slightly off the waypoint. Found it with Jack Thanks Teamkittens!
Endpoint was a bit off the coordinates but apart from that it was a great cache.
sorry for the late log took on a new job and have just got time to log my past finds we did enjoy the hunt and find
thanks to teamkittens for putting this cache out for us to find
Camped last night in the nearby camping area. Walked from the second coordinate to the cache. Take a water bottle if you attempt this. The view was well worth it. Can drive to nearby if you wish. Thanks for bringing me here. SL.
Found it at Easter with the area crouded with tourists and rock climbers.Luckily we were the only ones near the cache and it was the only quiet spot in the park at the time. TFTC
Found this on the 1st day of our camping holiday. Fantastic view from near cache location. Thank you for bringing us to this spot.
This is my 3rd attempt at this after miscalculating the coordinates on the previous 2 attempts and this sure was an easier location to get to than the other 2 places I tried and failed.
Grabbed it from beneath a family of muggles having elevens's without them being any the wiser. We then wandered back to the bottom of the mountain to attempt our very first ever rock climb.
Our second and final cache of the day and both relating to Major Tom.
Thanks

A great stop and well worth the time and effort for the find.
We stopped off on our way from our overnight stop at Edenhope whilst on our way to The Grampians for the weekend.
I'd heard of this place from annual school trips that came here, but I never got the chance to go. Must say that this is a place well worth visiting, and given the very crowded camp grounds for the long weekend, it would seem others think the same too!
Collected the info and made our way to GZ. Only problem that out of the two of us one has a math degree. That one of us also did the calculations. That one of us also managed to bodge the maths After a quick correction we headed back up top again and made a nice easy find.
A lovely clear day with views for miles and miles.

So in typical Lozzie and Nick style we did this one the hard way! We went off track and climbed in about 4/5 star terrain, it rained and bucketed down when we were in the middle of no-where! Lozzie almost lost a shoe and she head butted a tree or two.. Managed to hide our own cache while bush in a difficult terrain for those with a sense of adventure (if the review gives it the this up)! Managed to turn this cache into an 11-12km hike! But we had fun on our adventures! A favourite point for us for the memories made! Thank you xx
I have driven passed this one so many times.... but today I had time to stop and find it. Loved it This is a beautiful area that more people should visit.

After making it to GZ - it was impossible for us to find the correct tree. GPS had us moving in circles (?due to towers) and I also felt "bad" as I had to leave the designated path area and make sure I didn't fall off the cliff in an attempt to find the cache.
Took us about half an hour to find this clever hide.. GPS had some trouble jumping around 30 meters at a time, probably due the transmittors in the area.

Just a lovely spot. The walk to the plaque on the side of the hill was luckily short. I took a photo here in the shade that just does not give the sheer imposing nature of that rock. Major Mitchell certainly did cover some ground - did he have wings [?]
The views from near GZ are just as brilliant. My thanks to teamkittens for this one. Clear skies!

I have no idea how I got this one wrong, but I couldn't find the 2nd WP. Very frustrating - particularly when out in the heat with so many flies & noone else seems to have any problems.
Found this shortly after sunrise, on the first full day of a week-long climbing trip to Arapiles. Was still on NZ time, so getting up early was easy! Co-ordinates were spot on, thanks.
We enjoyed an afternoon of exploring in the area, and had a great time with this cache. A pretty impressive thunderstorm was in action to the south east with a full rainbow over the plains and sunlight on the lakes to the north, green crops all around. It truely is a splendid view. A few small swaps were made and then we ran for Horsham in the gathering dusk. TFTC and the fun time.
Found with Dikko and MJSmith1983 during a weekend of climbing at araps. The only reason we were able to go caching was because it got dark. Took nothing, left nothing, tftc.
Knew the poem from previous trips. Just had to get the date then off to the cache. Made our swaps and back to camp. Thanks for the cache.
Excellent geocache we followed for a bit of an exploration of the area. Thank you for being such a good guide. We were getting to be quite late for a lunch date so the fastest member of the team made the dash for the final and took lots of pictures for the rest who were too hungry to bother. Good thing they didn't see what they missed cause it was fairly impressive. Signed the log and then dashed off to Horsham to meet up with our friends. Thanks for the fun.
