Sorry, it is missing in action

28-Jun-09
There has been a lot of burning of plants around this area. I suspect it has gone given the time between finds. Could you please check?

05-Nov-08
Failed to find after a longish look - getting to stage of damaging vegetation if I poked around any more so gave up for the day. What's the relevance of counting the posts - or is this humour?????

31-Mar-08
Found at 1645hrs on second visit - the co-ords had me 7m sth of GZ. TFTC Regards Sarian

30-Mar-08
I received another email from a cacher who couldn't find the cache advising me the fence was gone so I ventured out to check the cache again.

Yeap the fence was gone, and so was my indication to where the cache was Sad

But after a few mins of searching I found the cache so I better update the hint.

12-Sep-07
Thought I better stop by and see if this one was missing....

After 5 seconds of searching I found the cache right where it should be. Sorry neg2led I think you might have been a bit off. (I'll email you Smile)

25-Aug-07
We looked for it for over 45 minutes but did not find. Hint says we were looking in the right spot. Sigh.

22-Jul-07
Finally found this cache. We tried to find this one a while ago and had no luck. Found it today after a more extensive search and must have been only a meter out last time. Thank you for taking us to an enjoyable playground and good cache.

Find # 1573 and 2nd of the day at 10:19am. Accompanied by Feathertop on another eastern suburbs expedition. I have been here before but couldnt be bother counting the poles but this time we looked closer at the cache sheet. TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx Blaze_au....Big Grin

11-Jun-07
Found in the company of Oenze this morning. We enjoyed collecting the information required which led us unerringly to GZ. Thanks Blaze

05-May-07
Found @ 12.49pm, in the rain!! Also slightly off on our coords, resulting in prickly bushes giving us a good workout!!

Followed the bird clues ok although had to make a decision on thick and/or thin at WP3, deciding on thick only. gz was clear and the hide found easily using a classic caching technique. Didn't record my swap. Thanks Blaze_au for showing me those eggs. They have replaced the posts since robmc cut them down and I think that there are more of them!

03-Jan-07
15:49 Drivin gpast, so we thought we would try this one. However after finding s all the clues, it wasnot found, as we either stuffed up the co-ords or it was just too hot to hang around in the sun too long.

28-Nov-06
Took me ages to count all those poles, but I ended up with three digits! Decided to chop them all down to save future cachers the trouble, luckily the chainsaw was in the boot. Smile
A pleasant walk and an easy multi. Great Egg(s) (all 25 of them _ was I supposed to code that statement?).
Thanks, Robmc.

07-Nov-06
Our first multicache find, no problems as we knew the area. Cheers.

05-Nov-06
Found at 4:15pm in our 'extended' search area! We were just about to give up the search for this one! TNLN SL Thanks for the walk around the park.

04-Nov-06
Rather hoped from the description that we would find a nice big viewing platform for ill equipped humans. Alas, not to be.

Whilst waiting for the youngest to awake, half of us located the clues & determined the location of GZ. The whole troup then advanced on GZ, not that the numbers seemed to help with the find.

Had a good search (maybe 30 minutes), but came up empty. Checked the hint, which indicated we were looking in the right spot. Perhaps it was a little better hidden than we anticipated.

We'll watch & try our luck again another day.

17-Oct-06
Found @ 13:10. Was in the area and thought I'd knock it off in my lunch break. Took a lot longer than I'd allowed but eventually got there. Finished up having a long lunch. Didn't have any swaps with me today so TNLN. Thanks

01-Oct-06
Another find by Swaggie1 and geodaughter today. Again geodaughter did the maths and eventually found the cache. It is a lot easier doing playground caches with a young person!!! Cache was bare of swaps so TNLN. Signed log at 1215 hrs.

Found this cach with la3kean. Was a cool windy day but still good fun to go out on a cache. TFTC

24-Sep-06
Found once again with dave_5. This one was made a little easier due to the traffic which had obviously visited this cache already. Clever use of surrounding objects. Few mugglers. Thanks

12-Jul-06
Tried this one previous day ,but couldnt find cache at the final spot.Tried again today and was only a few metres outside yesterdays search area when hit the goods !Great size cache box and well labelled and also well hidden too .Nice cache, great park for the kids and thanks to Blaze_au for the walk.TNLN.

Was passing by with Next! on the way to another find and decided to finish this one now that it is back in play. Big Grin

08-May-06
Nice to finish this one off - sad to miss out on DVD..had one this time & then read latest info - doh! Was where I expected it to be too. Took: Golf Ball Left: Next! Laminated Stamp + 50c Singapore coin & SL.

28-Apr-06
good challenge for newbies.
Took toyota disc, left golf ball.

16-Apr-06
We have wanted to do this one for a long time but kept putting it off because every time we were in the area we did not have a blank DVD with us. As this is no longer needed we decided today was the day. Being a cold Sunday morning we had the place to ourselves so collecting the required information was not a problem. Worked out the maths and were off to GZ in no time, again not a sole in site so the cache was ours very quickly.
Took Oscar the grouch
Left Barbie Fashion dog Pup
Thanks Au-Blaze for a very enjoyable cache

Found by Bob at 1705

Thanks for the updated hint Blaze_au, I had no trouble finding it today - although it was about 6-8m to the left from where my GPSr calculated GZ to be - still, I should have been able to get it last time - as I said, these types of hide are not my forte Sad.

TNLN, although I did see the TB and didn't take it (it's a bit big for my liking).

Thanks Blaze_au - I found it quite a tricky one Smile

02-Apr-06
I checked the cache today and it's still in it's correct place.

There is even a Travel Buy inside.

21-Mar-06
[Went with Scooter's Mob. Great spot for a cache. Even worked out where the mobile phone number was... even though the sign has now been removed but we could see the discolouration on the fence where it used to be. The home owner was in her back yard so we asked her about the sign - amazingly she still had it but it has now gone for good (SPOILER:] Mobile Number is: 0419357240[. After getting to final waypoint (says its 9mtrs west into the place where you can't go) we did a intensive search for 30-40 meters north and South of GZ but to no avail - I suspect the Cache is gone.]

Looks like most of the clues have been altered or removed and the cache is MIA.

19-Feb-06
[?][?] Hmmm....second no find for the day.....is it still there ?

We all had loads of fun locating the spot and are pretty confident we are in the right area (from the trampled undergrowth) ...but alas no cache....there was a almost new matock ??? in the spot....perhaps people are starting to swap gardening tools Wink

Great location for a cache Smile

19-Feb-06
I must have been following Shaka around today, with similar results. I too found GZ to be a fairly well-trampled area (I guess Shaka contributed to that, as did I Smile), and spotted the mattock too - but no cache unfortunately. I gave the area a good going over, but that sort of vegetation is not my forte. I'm pretty sure I was at the right spot, and there's a good chance that I simply missed it.

Thanks Blaze-au - I had a blank DVD with me too Sad.

22-Dec-05
Found at 18:46. Had got the final location for this a week before but was thwarted by the man on his tractor mowing the lawns. Came back today and the coast was clear and found after a quick search.

Took nothing.
Dropped off "The Flying Bear" TB to continue it's journey.

Thanks for the cache!

13-Nov-05
Went looking for this cache at around 6 PM with the intention of dropping off a TB. We found all the waypoints quite easily after a bit of discussion on the number of steel uprights and what counted as steel uprights. We homed in to the GZ and searched about 5m around that area and came up empty handed. Now, after reading the logs, maybe we need to increase our search area. Hopefully, we will try again soon.

We did find a golf ball. I wonder if it was the same golf ball that was mentioned in one the earlier logs.

Hmm... When I saw someone had troubles recently i thought the last sign might have been taken... no it was in place it was the second sign.
I have redone this clue so the guess work should be a little less. You still have to count the wooden poles Razz

28-Sep-05
found it even though every clue seemed to send us in the wrong direction.

i thin ka rework of this entire cache needs doing.

there was alot of guess work on our art to complete this cache.

Great spot however, ta.

First and only find of the day. had a little bit of guesswork as I didn't check my print before going for a wander. @nd Waypoint was guesswork.

24-Apr-05
Sorry Blaze, I incorrectly thanked Kiwidab for your cache

23-Apr-05
Checked this one out on the way home from work. There was no sign for the answer to the third waypoint so I made an educated guess which proved to be correct. Everything was going well until I homed in on GZ, just as some boys were closing on the same spot to search for a wayward golf ball they had hit. I contemplated offering to help them search for it but figured they might turn up the cache and not the ball, so I wandered on and returned when they disappeared into the reserve. First spot I looked was the jackpot. TNLNSL Thanks kixideb for showing me this area I have never visited before

Big Grinfound at 5.50pm .
this was our second attempt at this cache as we got the wrong age for the playground.

thanks for a great cache

As I forgot our geocaching bag this one had to be a TNLNSL.

Thanks Blaze_au.

10-Jan-05
Found cache at 7pm.

After discussions with Blaze_au, we had a better understanding of where the cache might be as our previous attempt failed.

Spent about 10 minutes searching whilst avoiding casual onlookers (GPS makes a good 'camera'..albeit a big one..)

Took 'Birds Eye View' DVD, Left blank DVD-R
Also left small cow figurine

We could hear Mr Whippy as we logged the cache so it was scribbled quickly and onto the Mr Whippy chase! 30 degree evening and perfect timing! Thanks for sending Mr Whippy our way Blaze_au, oh, and thanks for the cache too!

08-Jan-05
Sorry Team ActionCow, the cache is still in place Smile

05-Jan-05
Thought we would check this one out as we can now read dvds Smile After messing up thinking we already knew the answers to the clues we got back on track and found gz. We checked the area thoroughly with our guest cacher 'lord monkey' for a good 30 mins and came up with nothing Sad There were some kids doing laps of the reserve waiting for us to go so that they could go back into the reserve with their dogs so this hindered our search somewhat. Hopefully this cache is safe and we will return soon to have another go, thanks Blaze_au!

21-Nov-04
The brirdy's would have seen me today searching and searching for this one with a friend of mine, who obviously had more patience then i becuase I was ready to give it up but on the fifth or sicth - 'One last look' I managed to kick something with the right sound and hey presto I had it in my hand.

Took - Last DVD Copy
Left - Blank DVD and Geocoin.

We were interested in this cache when we saw it appear; Then we were hanging out to do it once we heard what Muzza had retrieved from itRazz.
Rain, puddles, umbrella's, wind, it was still worth doing!!!! As for the pine posts clue,Surprised Well! all I can say is I hope you like purple dotsWinkWink.

We were wet, wind blown, (I hope Noah has that Ark finished, -Cause after this past fortnight we're goin to need it), and yet still had lots of fun. Chick 1 loved it. The clues were almost all things that she could help us with for a change (we usually don't do Multi's due to the young chicks getting wrestless/impatient while we calculate).

10 points on the size of the cache container, another 10 points for the birds eye view. Left New Blank DVD in case.
Thanks Blaze Au. A Resource well used

A craptacular day for geocaching with drizzle and windl. But nevertheless and enjoyable experience was had at this cache.
As others have commented before me, the eggs are very interesting.
After finding all of the clues, the cache took a few minutes to locate. Wary of what sort of slithery things could be found here, I prodded with a stick to see what I could hear and was rewarded with the right sound.
I didn't bring a blank DVD, so I chose not to swap anything today.
Thanks for a nice cache in an interesting area Blaze_au.

This is another park in the area I never knew about and a nice one indeed. Had a few muggles around today while I was out to grab the cache with S from team rabbitto who had done this one before but he let me work it out. When we finally got to the GZ I looked in one area he was telling me Warm cold hot etc.. I got to the area where he said burning and I couldn't spot it.. So he barged in and looked.. No cache.. Oh oh but I looked further and found the cache. S thnks the cache has moved. But hmm they did it in the dark so maybe not. I didn't take any swaps with me, but I left a bunch of keys I found hanging right next to the cache. I dont know who they belong to, Seems like a fellow cacher might have left them there. Well its in a safe home for now.. TNLN else.. Thanks for a great cache from M.B and S.B-A.

30-Oct-04
This was our sixteenth cache for the day (out of 19 in the end). The park was nearly deserted by the time we got there, although the sun was still out. We took a Birds Eye View DVD, and will give Blaze a blank the next time we see him Smile Had great fun playing on the twirling poles in the playground on the way back from the car - those things can spin so fast it takes all your strength to keep you on!

28-Oct-04
found at 17:30 great cache my first multi, great fun.
nearly gave up, looked trough nearly all the reeds before finnally found gps was about 30 metres of.
blank dvd in, and birds eye out. took tb patch he is now united with freckle, i think ile place them both in my first hide cache and send them travelling again.
thanks

Found by Mary & David at 1545. Another lovely eastern suburbs park. We especially loved the eggs. Lovely sunshine for an afternoon wander as we collected the clues. Took mondo doll, left book of quotes and TB 'Patch Pup', who is hoping to meet up with his friend, TB 'Freckle Pup' TBGDQZ, who is also in Melbourne at the moment. We found a key ring nearby and left it hanging on the fence. Our thanks to Blaze_au.

21-Oct-04
Found it @ approx. 17:50

Quite a lot of muggles with their doggles running about. Had to wait before I could retreive this one. And again when I wanted to return it!!!!
Quite a nice little suburban park.

Took DVD
Left Blank DVD

Thanks Blaze_au

This cache was just too interesting to ignore - particularly the very useful cache contents. Still, it really is very hard to do at night - you need a good torch. It also has more than one tricky part to be solved and you need to be good at counting. The other problem was children still playing in the playground after 8:00pm. I didn't want to hang around near the playground so missed out on Waypoint 2 in a quick walk-by. After waiting for everyone to go home, I was well on the way till Waypoint 4. That was hard yet sooo obvious once you get it. Then on to the cache which was easily found at 9:45pm. I really wouldn't want to be searching for the actual cache in daylight - it would be impossible to avoid being seen - but it was easy in the dark. Took one "Bird's Eye View" DVD and left one blank DVD-R disk. Thanks heaps Blaze_au.

28-Sep-04
Found at 07:45 on a foggy morning.

The fog cleared just in time for a full view of the area and the overlooking muggles' homes.

This is a tough cache to get in and out of during the day.

I came prepared with a blank DVD and made the swap for "A Bird's eye view".

I made one small mistake, and I bet I won't be the last to make it, and wandered around the side streets looking for a builder.

Thanks Blaze_au

26-Sep-04
Found with nephews Paul and Shayne. This cache was pretty well hidden. Took a Birds Eye View DVD and left a blank DVD and couple of other bits & pieces. Thanks Blaze_Au.

19-Sep-04
I have replaced the sole Blank DVD with 2 "A Bird's Eye View" DVD's. Some swaps have been blank CDR's I can't put all the data onto a Blank CD. Please place a blank DVD into the cache when you take a DVD. Thanks.

16-Sep-04
Found a wile after dark after counting Everything. Managed to stay dry and used the paths as much as possible. There were muggles at the start but as night fell they tapered off. The darkness turned the tables in my favour as I could see them in the windows but they couldn't see me.

Found the cache after a short, mainly by feal search.

Swaped Blank DVD+R in for the last bird's eye view out.

I sure hope some of those DVDs people have outstanding TURN UP SOON. It would be a shame after all that effort if the cache ran out.

Thanks for the Cache Blaze and for the walk and the count[:p]

28-Aug-04
A pleasant walk in the park for my 4th and last cache of the day.

Too bad I didn't have a blank DVD. I hope to return with a blank and take the Birds DVD and have a look. But that will be another day.

I do like the caches where there is some thinking involved - two thumbs up Blaze!

in: oscar the grouch (cause I didn't have a DVD).
out: bat

25-Aug-04
I have turned the only 2 blank DVDs in the cache into "A Bird's Eye View"
Hopefully the others will either return or a blank will show up in their place soon.

21-Aug-04
Found 4:05, a great location for a bit of a stroll.

Took Disc (which turned out to be blank [B)]) and left bat, Thanks Blaze.

21-Aug-04
Found at 12.50pm but no "Bird's Eye View" DVD disks. Also no Bendigo map as previously discussed. TN/LN.

Might go back when refilled.

Mr.Coffee and family found Birds Eye View late tonight.
I think a went cross eyed counting poles and I am not telling anyone how many?.
Thanks Blaze_au for A Birds Eye View, now I know why?.
Taken DVD and left a Toyota Cruiserkhana 2004 DVD. I will return the DVD to the location soon.
Again Thanks Blaze_au for a great theme and location.
Regards
Mr.Coffee Ian.

This was a fairly easy cache although part of the walk was soggy on the feet. This is quite a nice park and well worth a visit on a drier day. Several muggles were wandering around causing me some nervousness, especially the two spies who were pretending to be gardners. Why would anyone be weeding the grass. Perhaps they were spying on me? ANd there are muggle houses galore here so I had the feeling that a hundred eyes were watching me from behind the curtains. I pretended to be taking photos while sneeking the cache from/to its hiding place.
Put: Mondo Lady France 1815
Borrowed: A DVD - will return next time I am near (soon)
Released: Larry Boy TB who wanted to go to the wide open spaces.
I also met Blaze_au who happened to notice me from the first clue location for the cache. He introduced himself and we went and completed a couple more caches further east. Nice Guy! [^]

15-Aug-04
Having read about the Data DVD, I packed a blank one and headed off for this cache. There were a few families in the park near the play equipment, but no-one else to disturb my caching. After gathering all the clues and arriving at GZ, a quick search revealed the cache.

I took the obligatory DVD and left a blank DVD in the original container. (At home, I loaded the DVD to see what was on it. VERY Worthwhile).

Thanks, Blaze_au, for the cache, and a very useful DVD.

What a great little park to find a cache. Love the eggs and the walk. Very wet under foot, so you will have to be careful. Yes, just who do you call?Wink Decided to go 'right round' the area and have a look at the whole park. The rain kept away thank goodness. I brought a DVD with me to swap. It was a film called "Suddenly" with Frank Sinatra as a nasty out to kill the President.Twisted It would have taken up too much room so I left something small instead. This is my first for the day after gym and shopping. I don't think that I have my priorities right somehow. Should be caching first.Razz

IN: Furry kangaroo
OUT: Wooden bird broche

13-Aug-04
Regarding the DVD's in this cache. They are data DVD's, not a movie. You have to use a PC with a DVD reader to view them.

They contain files that would be handy to anyone who has oziexplorer, this will give you "A Bird's Eye View"

12-Aug-04
After a pleasant (and short) stroll through the park, I located the cache without problems. I didn't have any spare DVDs at home, so I didn't make the usual exchange. I'm about to leave for four weeks in Beijing (a cache desert), so I left the TB for someone who can better help it to achieve its goal.

I left a packet of Cache In Trash Out bags in the cache. As most of you would know, Cache In Trash Out (CITO) refers to the practice of picking up rubbish when you are out geocaching. CITO is an opportunity for geocachers to help clean up the parks and other cache-friendly places throughout the world. Through the volunteer efforts of the Geocaching community, we will all help preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources. Together, we can make an enormous positive impact with just a little effort.

Practising CITO is easy! Just bring a bag along with you on your walks in the bush and pick up the occasional piece of rubbish you see on the trail. Even this small gesture can make a huge difference.

Hey a cache expedition without "D" Rabbitto [?]. This is not on. Cycled over this morning with "H" who hadn't been on a bike since high school. This should be fitting punishment Big Grin.

Found easily and swapped out a Bird's Eye View DVD for a blank DVD.

Also dropped out TB Larry Boy, whom we found yesterday in an out of the way cache that hadn't been visited for a while. Larry Boy was no where near the cache he was supposed to be in but now he's back in action and taking on a spot of bird watching whilst getting ready for his next mission.

Found at 8:30pm. The 24 hour rule applied again and this one had to be completed tonight. This one is a first for Rabbitto as it is the first that "D" did not attend personally, as a pre-planned meeting was unavoidable. But two other members took over and after a walk in the park in the dark, they soon had the cache in hand. In the rush to clock "first to find" Big Grin, we did not have a DVD to exchange but that will be rectified tomorrow.

Thanks Blaze_au from H & S B-A.

Left a bird, took nothing. "D" will cycle over for a visit in the morning to swap out a DVD.
