Logs
The equipment needed to do this cache is once again missing, after having been replaced several times.
We have also been told several times, that equipment to do with other caches in this series is missing, only to visit and find the equipment, albeit well camouflaged, in an area known to often have poor or intermittent reception.
Given this, and some recent logs in the series, I will now proceed to archive this series of caches.

This so needs archiving. It is unfindable due to bits missing, hasn't been found for 3 years, and the owner is long out of the game.
Have done the first three in the series. Can't seem to get number 4. In line with the previous comment, is this still available ?
Thanks

Find# 1867 and 17th of the day at 4:33pm. Accompanied by Feathertop on another caching day in the Dandenong area. The container was all wet at location A and Aparatus was missing at location B but we figure out what to do and duely logged our find qiuckly as there were a lott of mozzies about, this was a most enjoyable serries and loved the gadgets. TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx Chookies....
Very nearly didn't find this owing to no clues gathered at Cache #2 and the need for maintenance at the second WP which was only found by some guesswork. After that it took ages to find the cache even though we were always looking in the right area or thereabouts. We both loved this series and the work you have put into it. By far the best caches I have done in a while. Thanks chookies.
Sometimes I think that when you get a bit tired, you should stop. When we were here last the light was failing fast on the end of a tough day's caching. We searched for a while and saw no sight (nor sound) of the cache. Today we were fresh, walked along the slippery path to the area, and Chewin' found it straight away! Not a difficult hide, just impossible last time.
Thanks for a great series, and a reason to return to the area.
Thanks, Robmc.

Thanks, Robmc.
Returned today to finish off this series and it was an easy find this time. What Robmc says is true I think. Sometimes when your tired and your spirits are a bit down you just don't perform as well. I think that might have been our last experience. Anyway it was easy this time.
Thanks guys.
Thanks guys.
Number four and we felt good,
the other three were under the hood.
Location A was found easily,
Sadly not the same for location B,
We headed to, what was the place,
and of what we needed there was no trace.
We searched around for a while,
it seemed our numbers did not compile.
We went back to recalculate,
knowing well that it was getting late.
The numbers all seemed to match,
we stood there and gave our heads a scratch.
With the second point just a mystery,
Maybe we would have success working back from point C.
We searched down low and up high
hoping this next waypoint to spy.
With temperature dropping and fading light,
We decided to head home for the night.
Saddened hearts and walking back,
we came upon another track.
From here point C we did spy,
renewed enthusiasm, this did buy.
With this point we could speculate,
where point B should be to locate.
This information we could use,
to know where to direct our shoes.
We searched for half an hour more,
up high and on the floor,
But this cache was not to be found,
I am sure you can hear our disappointed sound.

Like Acts2 said, this is where the leaches struck (still scratching as I write this log ). Unlike Acts2, we didn't find the cache. Got the first item, had the information for the secong point, Chewin' did a great job to find the next, but then it all fell apart. We were aroung GZ, but we could find the cache. Light was fast failing (what happend to daylight savings anyway?), and we gave up, to return another day.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
By now the light was fading and after finding the first thingy, finding where it was supposed to fit was the next challenge and one we never really solved. We deduced it somewhat after we discovered C, pretty much accidently as others have done. Having got to that point we tried to make sense of the clue but I think we went over and through instead of around; that is if we understood it correctly, but wern't able to locate the cache. We'll be back with a whipper snipper later.
Thanks anyway.
Thanks anyway.
A real treasure hunter only needs half a treasure map and a sense of adventure to go for it.
So with no clues from #2 I headed off to the start point. Sometimes you just get lucky because I stumbled across point C by accident, although I didn’t know that’s what it was at the time. Then starting at A, and with a bit of reverse engineering I also found B.
But I needed the cache, and it didn’t fall to hand easily. I did find it, but not where I expected it to be. Is this a case of cache creep?

Rated: for Overall Experience
After taking the instructions from LofS 3 we ventured off to this trek. Located the necessary very easily. Then the trouble started. Encryption, what encryption, who arranged this code!!! So the four of us threw around co-ords until we lucked on what appeared to be the right one. Found the site but where to go from here. Much discussion, fading light, tired aching bodies, pedometer said we walked 7500 steps and we were st#%%&d. What the hell, off we went and after much searching we did find the final cache. Made the swaps at 17:15.
Took whistle. ( At least we could use it to attract attention if we got lost).
Left Hot wheels T-Bird and more leeches.
Also left behind TB Sheep looking for a trip to NZ. (No room for him today)
Thanks to the chookies for a very challenging afternoon. We (all 4) were totally st#%%&d. but we felt we had achieved something today. To conquer a whole Chookies series of caches. Next stop Berwick.

5.15pm, and all is not well.
About to be found by Team Romax and the Swaggies.
Although we now have most of the necessary data there are some internal disagreements as to how to put it to good use. However, with evening approaching there is a note of urgency appearing within our team. Eureka, we think we have resolved our dilemma and it’s off now to utilise the final device. There appears to be some onsite maintenance required at this point, and we resorted to what looks like previous searchers have had to do also.
Having performed the necessary sighting it was now Iains turn to forage for the last container, and to provide some more sustenance to the local leech fraternity, who have certainly earned their keep, performing guard duty today.
We took a Hammer Key Tag and left another Mondo Figurine.
Thank you Chookies, and congratulations on displaying such ingenuity in the placement of this series, we have found some quality caches in our time, and this series rates highly amongst them.

Found at 16:00. Well my luck had run out with this one. It took me ages to locate the device; I could not quite screw it in due to sap in the tree. I gave Chookies a call and I thank him for his help. Point C is a little hard to see even to my eagle eyes, this is due to some new wattles that have grown up close by. I even gave my good friend Dak a call on this to make sure what way I should be looking. Well the cache was soon found and a leech found me. Thanks Chookies for the cache and the series I really enjoyed myself doing them and this spot had some great bird life, not to mention insect life. All four in two hours. dropped of TB Sheep and picked up the bear TB.

I read the notes, I read the clues.
I did the things I was told to do
I looked and looked and after a while I felt my goose was cooked.
While not taking as long as number 2 this cache still caused a bit of grief, while obtaining all the clues I couldn't activate them properly. It was more by luck than skill that I managed to eventually locate the cache.
Congratulations on a brilliant little series with a bit of twist. Thanks, but I'm glad it's done.

thanks Chookies , the 4th took us the longest to complete,it was getting dark but we found it!took a bear and left a recorder. The family have voted this the best caches they have done, very clever and interesting ,well done !All the caches were dry and in good order ,thanks again .
We tried to finish this one in fading light but had a little bit of trouble with our sight. A chance phone call from Mr. Coffee verified that we were in the right spot and we new that we would have to come back tomorrow to finish this one.
On our way to do this one this morning we realised we were nearly at 700 and could not think of a better cache to reach this mark on, so we changed course and completed the necessary caches to make this our 700th.
On returning to the site in daylight we had no trouble with the first part and used a bit of Chooky logic and we soon had the cache in hand. Thanks D + K and the chicks, this would have to be the most innovative series that we have completed. We've heard a rumour that you have another one planned and we can't wait.
Took Soft Toy
Left Pliers
Thanks Chookies once again.

Found by Mary & David at 1535. What can we say that other cachers before us haven't said already? Imaginative, superb, tremendous, a great series . Very well thought out and very well implemented. Native violets, maidenhair ferns and one lonely bullfrog trying to shout down all the birds. Took paper clip dispenser, left key ring and green car. Didn't notice any TB. Now we have to find our way back to the GeoCalais . Thanks again to Chookies for an hour and a half of absorbing entertainment.
Found by caughtatwork at about 15:00 (I think).
I spent tooooooo long looking for this cache so I lost track of time. I even resorted to calling Blaze_au to see if he could help. His help confirmed I was looking in the right area, even though it wasn't actually in line of sight!
Finally recovered the cache and TNLN.
What a sensational series of caches. Well worthy of being recommended.
Well done Chookies. I loved the idea and loved doing the caches as well.
TNLNSL.

Found at 13:03 with Loonster and Jazwoz. Today was spent finding chookies caches and we had a great time. The line of site theme added a new element that made for heaps of fun. Look forward to more of your caches. Thanks JS
Found with Sikma and Jazwoz. Best caches i have done so far. Keep up the great work.
The co-ordinates on this series were checked & re-checked many times in varying weather conditions. These have also since been confirmed by other cachers. -Have a great time
After the time fruitlessley spent on LoS#2, we were determined to find this one quickly. So we carefully followed the instructions, but soon thought that there was something wrong with our apprehension abilities. However after raising our sights a tad, there it was . A fantastic series by Chookies and with the company of hundreds of large mozzies, we really enjoyed it.
Took: Picture frame, Left: Bone paper clip holder.

Found again at night, with BeccaJ and Evil_Hitman.
A nice little spot, a bit of fun, could have been easier in the sun.
Took TB left nothing.
Thanks

YAY!!! Did the series. In the dark. Did the series in the park!!!
Did the series in the dark,
Got bitten by a monster in the park.
I squished it climbing in my jean,
It'll be a pain to get that denim clean.
Since the cache info was all in rhyme,
I thought I'd do that with my log this time.
Thanks for the series, the concept and the idea,
Most of all thank you for bringing us here!

Finally finished the Line of Sight series after a two week break due to bad weather.
Excellent weather that aforded me the opportunity to open the roof of my convertable on the way there.
I can't believe how close I came to getting this last time. I had the right location but didn't look hard enough.
But now it's all done.
Thanks Chookies for a challenging and interesting series of caches.

We had all that was needed to do #4,
We found the right spot and stood there in awe.
A tool of this sort, hmmm where do we put it,
We looked and we looked and finally we hooked it.
But after we looked, we still needed more,
We searched a bit further, ah then we saw.
The cache was just there, no need for more lookies,
So now it was ours, thanks to all of the Chookies.
And thanks to Dak. It is always great teaming up together.

Continuing our assault on Berwick caches, barcoder and I now had all the clues needed to find the final cache. We snarfed the final "gear", and after "doing the maths" we proceeded to "point B". We employed the tool, and after a false start or two, were soon at GZ looking for the final prize. We found it at 1510 after a short search.
This is one of the most innovative series of caches we've come across. I was away when these four came online, but I couldn't wait to get home and have a go at them--I wasn't disappointed. The thought and preparation that has gone into it is mind boggling. We thoroughly enjoyed all legs, and especially liked the "tools" we used in the hunt. This series of caches is a must-do for anyone prepared to pack the cut lunch and venture out East. Coupled with the nearby "Ash Wednesday" series by Da Bugs, you can pick up a cool (and enjoyable) nine caches in three hours or so.
Thanks Chookies for the challenge, the entertainment, and for adding a new element of fun to Victorian caching. [^]

Found it today in a spot by the way were I hadn't looked the other dark day.
It's back in that spot - the correct place? I know not.
but read your sheet carfuly as I may have not.
So Chookies today it's hip hip hooray - a hard act to follow but may be some day.

Well, I did say we'd be back and I was, but on my lonesome as the others were up to no good at a local native plant sale at another of team Chookies cache locations at Wilson Botanical Park.
Resumed where I left off last week looking for toy/implement which was found with no problems also where to use it with no problems. Use the toy/implement in the correct manner and "well look at that!!" get to geozone start searching, attacked by vicious blackberry thorns but find cache in the end.
A really good end to a great caching series. This has been one enjoyable series team Chookies, thanks a lot.
Took: Coffee card (thanks Mr Coffee) and bath bomb.
Left: Flexible pirate man, Green Hippo, (at least I think that's what it was) and a "da bugs" giant bullant.
Regards Andrew "da big bug"

With 1 2 & 3 under my belt I thought before dark this last could be delt.
So off I did race at a flash quick pace "If I can do it tonight that wood be ace"
The "thing" was well hid and find it I not did so pushed on to next place were B was to be got.
I eyed up the place and quickened my pace and came to what I thought was GZ place.
I groveld and crawled and by blackberrys was malled and after I time I was not over enthrouled.
The darknes he came but today not the rain so off to cachemobel for torches twain.
Once back at LS4 torched turned beacons once more but nothing could be found on said forrest floor.
After much more scratching and getting bit saw said cache twas not showing and and torch not much more.
So at ¼ to 8 it was back to the gate and off home once more as twas getting bit late.
At night I did here few wallabys and saw owl how had just goten up and was out on the prowl.
Well Chookies you here I'l be back do not fear to find said cache and offer a cheer.

Had a bit of trouble loacting this one with aussiecoder i plan to give this one another go soon.
Found 17:30, today should have been declared an event cache, not only did we meet Chookie & the Coffee Clan but also Rhinogeo and Facitman it was great to put faces to log entries.
Well having spent quite some time searching for this cache. It was not until the arrival of the Coffee Clan, that we found it, and Biggles Bear # 1 realised that an important part of the instructions for this cache had remained safely in his pocket the entire time [B)]
TNLN thanks Chookies for a great series of Caches, Muzza has a lot of work ahead of him to top this lot

My GPS was giving wild results, and despite much searching, could not find the start point for this very interesting series of caches. I had a newbie in night with me, and his brand new (fresh out of the packet, colour GPS), didn't fare any better.
I had an afternoon appointment, so I had to abandon the search and plan to come back another day.
I think I missed the clues at #2 as well, so I'm not sure I could have "jumped ahead" on this leg.
It seems I visited far too early in the day, sounds like there was an absolute stampeed soon after I left.

With fading light, rain on the horizon and any excuse we decided to push on for the final assault. we arrived at the GZ to find Biggles Bear searching for the final location. after joining the search in the hope of finding first and ignoring all written matter (A Male Thing) Mrs Biggles Bear announced found it. (note self: next time take mini bulldoser geocaching (1) to make new path and (2) to find it first)or Build a Binford 2000 20 chanel GPS (more Power ar,ar,ar). Thanks Chookies for this series but I am worried due to this and past caches what will you come up with next?.
Left- mini bath bomb, C-Card for Da Bugs, Tazo and three leeches from last cache. Taken- Tennis Ball.

Well, the light (or lack of it) has beaten us. The log page is pretty specific about certain things to do so we decide to call it a day and return when we can to give this cache the justice it certainly deserves.

We forgot to enter that we had dropped off Snufkin the TB, into this cache, which has already been picked up, by consciencious flight attendants. -Thanks Rabbitto for the reminder, & for an increadible set of logs.
With wins notched on one, two and three,
It was off to the fourth one to see,
And to seek and to find,
And the clues to unwind,
And we did at the time four fifty.
We proceeded to locale of point "A",
But just couldn't find it, no way,
So after ten minutes,
We thought "nothing in it",
And went down to "B" anyway.
On the clues we began our construction,
And brought out our powers of deduction,
And with some concentration,
Thought turned to elation,
And the puzzle was sent to destruction.
The cache now in hand may we say,
Even without the gear of point "A",
That this series to seek,
Is extremely unique,
And one momentus triumph, hooray.
So thanks to the Chookies once more,
For the planning on all of these four,
It's a ripper by far,
And we left a white car,
And a travel bug's with us once more.

This one was a little more tricky and took us awhile to find point A. Once found we took a quick trip and a search with the toys to find the location.
Took cutters left apple scented candle.
Thanks to chookies for a great cache idea and well worth the effort.
As we arrived back at our car Rabbito arrived. 4 attempts in the one day. 3 successful....I wonder how they went!

I've decided I don't like Rooster!!! Joined Muzza in the search for this cache. We found the 1st part after deciphering the clue. But the next part seemed to take forever. We searched high we searched low, could we find the location? NO!!!. After a while we found what we were looking for which narrowed the search. We searched high we searched low. Couldn't find it. At about 1220 someone yelled out "Muzza". We both shouted hello. They yelled out Debbie? Shouted out "who is it"? Answer!!! Embi and Co. 10 mins later Muzza and I had the cache in our hot little hands. Another joint 1st find. Found at 1230, swapped a sticker for a car.
What a great set of caches we had a ball. Thanks Chookies, now off to bed for a well deserved sleep.

Well, you will always come unstuck when your confidence is high. After easy finds on numbers 1 to 3, this one proved somewhat more difficult. Having completed #1 much quicker than Kiwideb doing #2, I had a headstart on her, but squandered my lead looking for the first part. Once Deb joined me, I decrypted the first part of the clue, and she soon had it in her hands.
We then follow the instructions provided earlier, but again without a quick result. Eventually it was again Deb who found the required spot. After much searching we were able to find the cache - another joint find with Kiwideb. I took some cellotape and left a car.
Thanks Chookies for a wonderful series in a great little park. For anyone contemplating doing this series, do it. Its a must do.
