Logs
The equipment needed to do 4th cache in this series is once again missing, after having been replaced several times.
We have also been told several times, that equipment to do with other caches in this series is missing, only to visit and find the equipment, albeit well camouflaged, in an area known to often have poor or intermittent reception.
Given this, and some recent logs in the series, we have decided to proceed to archive this series of caches.

Got to the "tools" for this one and setting them up was on problem but finding the cache just didn't happen.
(''\(OoO)/'') No luck today...

One of the holes is a bit blocked which makes it hard to sight. Would recomend that you stop by and do some maintenance. Otherwise first section is fine.
Cycled over but decided not to brave the last hill. Walked down to the sight. Found the first section easy. Had a look through. Found a few trees with hollow bases but none had the cache. One of the holes was a bit blocked off. Will write a needs maintenance log.
Finished this one with squalid just on sunset. The holes are now becoming a bit more numerous, with the result that a bit of trial and error was required. The "right" holes are now becoming a bit loose as well, with the result that we had to speculate a bit on where the cache would've been when it was first placed, rather than simply sighting it and heading off down the line.
Great idea for a cache though, and thoroughly enjoyable. Once the cache was in hand, we were able to confirm that the line is indeed straight, even though it now requires at least 3 people to find it (one to sight it, one to hold the objects vertical for sighting, and a third to actually find the cache).
TNLN TFTC. We'll be back in a couple of weeks to finish the series

I really wanted to check this one out, because I was told it's a bit like one of mine. I'm glad to say there are significant differences, and I won't be up in court on breach of copyright. Really enjoyed the concept - I like the ones where you need to solve a physical puzzle. This was a team effort with Monch's mob - would have been quite difficult on our own with lots of running around. TNLN, thanks for the tricky cache.
this took ages!!! uphill or downhill??? how far??? it was further than i expected. but cache is in good nick unlike one of the holes to stick things in.
must say that I really enjoyed this cache!

Found this one finally on our third attempt. Little bit further than we initially thought. Had no swaps with us this time.
Found at 6:00 PM on 06.03.09. Hole in tree has been filled which makes it a bit more difficult. Will write maintenance log.

I have been wanting to do this series for soooo long, but it always eluded me. I had actually found wp1 of this ages ago but had run out of light. Today I set things up (there is a misleading hole right beside one of the proper ones but that was soon sorted). Despite the wonky nature of the set up a likely target was sorted and to my delight it worked. One down and I was already on a role!
Found the first part of the puzzle and looked through the rings, but couldn't find the cache itself. Beautiful area with a few wild deer seen on the walk in. Almost needed a boat to cross the creek (river) and after a wet shoe and sock ended up leaving empty handed. Will be trying this one again. Thanks for the challenge. Davidman (+1)
As per Geodes log one of the holes needs re-drilling.
This was an easy find.

I've been meaning to tackle this series for ages - and eventually got round to it today. I didn't have much trouble with this one - although one of the holes has been plugged and needs to be re-drilled and I couldn't properly set up the equipment. Even so, I was able to get a "Line of Sight" to follow and found the cache fairly easily (although I had to guess whether to head uphill or down!

Ah crap. Spent quite a bit of time here. Found the toys, but couldn't find GZ. Were we looking in the correct spot? We looked in quite a few!!!
Can't figure out where we went wrong?????Got to the first step.....followed the instructions????? GRRRR search forever! Found nothing!!!
Find# 1864 and 14th of the day at 3:08pm. Accompanied by Feathertop on another caching day in the Dandenong area. We didnt know what to expect here and the long grass put me off a bit, but realy enjoyed the cache. TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx Chookies....
Oenze and I had set aside a couple of hours here but had forgotten to print cache sheets so we lugged the laptop around the bush instead. Added a degree of care to the exercise somewhat. Had no trouble with this cache and enjoyed the novelty element. Thanks chookies.
Our first for the day,
as we went out to play.
T'was with a frown,
that we headed down.
The road before was not right,
perhaps this one would shed more light.
After three wrong turns, we parked the car.
Now at least we were not far.
The cache was very soon in hand,
and we organised our work band.
Each with our own perspective,
only one found the objective.
After signing the log, our little troubles,
swapped a necklace for some bubbles.

The trouble with walking downhill at the beginning of a cache is that, at some stage, you have to walk back up!
This time we didn't notice the uphill walk as we were staring at GZ hoping not to miss it
Nice idea. Thanks, Robmc.

This little series was somewhat a departure from all previously known protocol in this game. Caused us a bit of grief too but not on this one. More about that later.
Thanks Chookies

Based on a recommendation from someone with inside information I was really looking forward to this series. And I was not disappointed. What a great concept. Red was obvious, green needed a bit of a search and a wedge. My GZ was wrong, but a search of obvious places close by quickly revealed the cache.

Found by Roma and Max together with The Swaggies.
We have been looking forward to this series ever since we were here last year on a flying visit and ran out of caching time. We were prepared, we thought, but little did we know what lay in wait, ahead of us.
After lunch, where we parked our car, we were off and running.
Although finding the object at Point A was relativly easy, it became evident that we were in for an exiting couple of hours or so.
Having accomplished this task successfully we were up and away.
We took a Tiger Game and left a Mondo Figurine.
Thanks Chookies.

After the Ash Wednesday Series we were hoping for something easier. Well we should have known where the Chookies were concerned. Down we went to the first location. Easy find, set up the gear and located the site. Took off and plundered the cache. Logged at 13:45.
Took Phone Lead.
Left Fridge magnets.

Found with piggysue after a little searching. I really enjoyed this cache with all the gadgets. Thanks. Now I just have to figure out #2 and I can attempt line of sight 4.
Chookies, you must be the Gadget King. I was going to try this series another time but ran out of time with a husband who is not as committed to caching as yours truly. This time I had a stayer in daughter Piglet. Enjoyed this one and the device and soon had the cache in hand. Off to 3 as it seemed closer! Thanks Chookies for what promised to be a fun series. Took clip. Left Aussie Tattoos.
"Found" (again)at 10:45am by the whole Facit-Family
Returned to this series armed with the power of the whole Facit-Family, be it over a year later . Appartatus found and installed with no problems and e-Facit found the cache quickly.
Took TB Redfurry and clues
Left Hippo and Gorilla toys
Enjoyed our second visit to this great series
Thanks Chookies!

Found at 14:15. I had no trouble finding the device and getting it into position, off to GZ and the cache was in hand. A great concept I really loved the idea. I think I met every insect today, at this spot the ants crawled all over me. TNLN dropped of TB Redfurry

Didn't roll and didn't slip,

Fantastic concept. This one was quite easy which probably lead me to a false sense delusion in I'll knock these over in no time. TNLN

thanks Chookies ,the kids really enjoyed this cache, something a bit different.took a koala and left clip on key chain.
With an hour to spare, I tried for this one,
I parked the car, and headed for 1.
Got to the spot, and what did I find,
A strange group of things, that streched out my mind.
The instructions I read, and it started to make sense,
The bits and the pieces, showed where I go next.
"This baby's mine", I said as I plundered,
Then off to the next, was were I wandered,
But due to my haste, in heading away,
Number 3 was my goal, I found in dismay.

We have read a lot about this series in the logs and have been waiting for a chance to do this together. Today was the day and we were difinitely impressed by the ingenuity shown. We set up the equipment and were soon on our way to GZ. The equipment was accurate and we had the cache in hand in the second place that we looked. We are starting to see why this series was getting such good reviews.
Took tiger

Chookies himself told us of this cache set,
That we'd have lots of fun and good times he would bet.
So I set out with Shimachic to track down this find,
Walked down over the hill, left the car far behind.
The clues soon made sense, to the cache we did dash,
No muggles in sight as we opened the stash.
A pleasure to find, didn't cause any troubles,
Took out a yes badge, left a bottle of bubbles.

Found at 3:00pm in the continuing drizzle. We've been reading about this series for some time and have been looking forward to doing it. Thought we would come out today, even though it was raining and at least have a look. We had great fun finding this one and were eager to continue. We took a purple carabiner and left a tiger.
Maintenance visit ! Replaced one of the toys which had come apart. All is well once again [^]. This cache should again now be easy to find, even with only one set of eyes.
Hmmmmm,
A single pair of eyes is not quite suffucient for this cache.
Also had problems with the toys - will email you,
Looked for approx 1 hr, whilst the toy played up.
Will abort my search for the series and return with a second pair of eyes.
Next time
Thanks

Thanks Chookies. One in a million.
Off to number 2 with a passion.

Found at 10:00hrs, after a bit of a extended search. Some how one of the holes has collected a twig or something and is full. I had to make a bit of a guess how deep and at what angle the hole was. I didn't have anything handy so I wasn't able to remove it.

Jazwoz and Sikma had already done this one so i had to catch up. I'm still learning but managed quite well besides spelling cache wrong in all the logs today
Found at 16:45 with Sikma after our stuff up. We were running out of time after this but will be back very shortly for the others. Thanks Chookies, this was a very different challenge!
This was going to be our big adventure for the day. We studied the instructions, imagined in our minds eye what was going to happen and off we went on a beautiful Sunday morning. Got to GZ and looked around and worked out what was to be done even though our GPSr was way out. Hesitantly followed more instructions and - yes we didn't stuff-up.
Took: Highlight pen, Left: Batteries.
Thanks Chookies - got our confidence up so we are now off on this great cache hunt.

We found this one at 16:45 after I stuffed it up big time. Not to worry. We also searched long and hard for #2 but could not make the find. We had to start making our way home at this time. We look forward to coming back here in the next couple of weeks. Thanks Chookies for a very different challenge, good work.

myself (evil_hitman aka butter fingers) found this along with beccaj and em_eagle. What a fantastic cache. except for the fact that i managed to have a green piece of equipment roll away down the hill. i spent around 30 mins looking for the (insert expletive here) thing and had given up. walking back up the hill i spotted it. at about this time Em_eagle had spotted the final cache and all was good.

It happens every so often that myself, Em_Eagle and evil_hitman decide that we will go caching. Except that we decide this about 5pm and by the time we get gear together it is very late.
In retrospect, attempting a series of caches called "Line of Sight" was a bit of an overstretch in the dark...
Found the first waypoint easily and split up to go to the next point, which would have worked well, except e_h dropped a vital bit of equipment and couldn't find it!
After a great deal of hunting, found it and managed to find the cache. Whew!

After the thrill of completing the Ash Wednesday quintet. I was more than happy to 'tackle' this quartet with Dak's Emu mob.
Berwick is such a lovely area. And even though the weather could have been better, it was shaping up to be a great day's caching.
I must say that the 'toys/devices' mentioned in other logs had me fascinated.[?] They lived up to all my expectations though.[^]
'This goes with that, that goes with this'. What a 'clever' family of fowls the Chookies are. We must hurry to the next one.

What a great series of caches this is! Our (barcoder and the Emu Mob) assault on the Berwick caches wouldn't have been complete without logging these. After reading the cache descriptions, I was a bit apprehensive about the "toys", but once they were found, their employment was easy. Although each of these caches is distinctly different, and all are clever in the extreme, this one was my favourite. Having collected the required information at 1235, it was off to LoS #3.

An easy find just before dark. After finaly working out how to aproach the park came and parked the car. There was a very Geo looking 4WD there already with what looked like a GPS holder (note left(if their muggles they will be scratching there heads)).
Set off to the first location. The instuctions worked well and the final cache was located and log writen.
The log books and caches round here are very flash - this is the flashest yet I'v visited, nice work.
Left Speedo the Geocoin
Took nothing as I was in a rush to pack up before dark + had Mr Coffee's cache in the car (see Thunder storms from the Hill).
Thanks Chookies I'l be back for more - great idea.

Geoƒ was correct it certainly was a very Geo looking 4WD there already. What a pity it was we missed him, it would have nice to catch up and have a chat. We were returning to this cache series after some problems during the day.
It was with some trepidation we started out on this "team Chookies" series as he can be quite tricky at times (rags to riches springs to mind)
We found "the toys" and used them and Brendan da bug was again at his finding best. Of course he's the one who runs to the cache site while we take our time.
Got the clues (we hope) and made ready for line of sight #2.
Took: TB Tiger Loredana & photo frame.
Left: Pink soft pig. Or was it a Lamb? we couldn't figure it out. A glow in dark monster and a "da bugs" green beetle.
Thanks Chookies for a very interesting start.

We weren't the first to find this series of caches and we werent the last. Great little set of caches that is a must do. Found the "toys" fairly easily on this one but working out how to use them was difficult. J was quick to take a step back and look into it and said "do it this way". Within a minute or two we found the cache.

Finished work at 0700 was about to hit the sack when I noticed this series of caches. Who needs sleep I say??? Arrived at this location at 945am took me a bit of time to figure out what I was suppose to be looking for. Once the "Toys" were found I had the cache in my hot little hands. AH!!! A 1st to find. Great, that means the other 3 would be mine. Received a call from Muzza asking where I was, he was at number 2. The race was on .

After a joint first find at #3 in this series, Kiwideb went off to do #2 (which I had already done), while I went off to do this one (which she had already done). I found this one quite easily and was soon making a swap and filling out the log book.
I took some modelling clay and left a pack of cards.
What more can I say than this whole series is novel, entertaining, enjoyable, imaginative, .....
Thanks Chookies.

At thirty odd minutes past three,
We logged in the shade of a tree,
This first cache to the north,
(To find, we were fourth)
Behind Muzza, Kiwideb and Embi.
As we parked we met Embi and J,
And we stopped to say "Hi" and "G'day",
We were just getting started,
At the time they departed,
So it's our turn to head out and play.
We soon found the box with the toys,
With our daughter and two of our boys,
It had us in fits,
Trying to figure these bits,
But once we had done it, oh joy.
Thanks Chookies for the first "Line of Sight",
The fun here was just out of sight,
A tennis ball taken,
A travel bug forsaken,
It's a tiger, but fear not, it don't bite.
