While visiting from Ohio on the *Viking Orion,* I made an extra effort to do the two webcams in the area, including this one. After studying some nearby webcam footage of the area I concluded there was one working cam that would still work for this one, showing the Moturiki View as intended in the cache description. So, I set out on my trusty geobike to find that cam and get my photo taken. After a lot of riding up and down the shore I finally figured out where it was and then had to wait a while before the location updated (apparently it turns from time to time and takes pictures in different directions). In the end I was successful and you can see me at the bottom of the attached image, plus I included a selfie so you can see it's really me. I had a lot of fun chasing this one down!
First full day in Mount Maunganui, spent the morning at the beach, now out caching We are visiting from Toronto ON Canada to spend 25 days with our daughter who lives in Wellington NZ. We have planned a driving tour of both the north island and the south island. Quick stop at GZ. Found at 2:25 PM. Thank you JDHnz & LRPnz for the webcam cache.
I am quite happy to log an archived cache, but I will not break the rules of the cache page, even though the cache owner clearly allows it, despite saying he doesn't (there are so many logs on this cache (andon the other webcam) that should be deleted as obviously not taken with the webcam).
I do recommend the CO delete those logs not actually taken by the web cam.
Shame to see it is out of action, but I totally understand why.

So sad to see this one go. I remember utilizing this camera many times from work just to see what the surf was doing all the while thinking - I must sort this cache out - then suddenly it went offline. 3.5 Years I've waited, fingers crossed, watching all the other logs go up. They managed to fix the yacht club cam... thought this would have been higher on the priorities list. Oh well, one last dodgy log to add here
School holiday trip to Auckland/Coromandel with the family. After a couple nights at Hot Water beach time for a few days in and around Tauranga. Staying in Matua...Time for an explore. A day trip into Tauranga and Mt Maunganui. After walking up and down The Mount the boys were keen for a swim.....whilst MrsTG watched over them I wandered over here. Cheers!
Wow! It's beautiful this morning. Maybe I should have woken up Mrs. Llama. Then again she likes to sleep in. Thanks for the Webcam cache. Greetings from Utah, USA and South Korea. 캐시 설치해주셔서 감사합니다
With rebel98 on a weekend of fun around the Mount
We had been at GZ last night, but you would not have been able to see much of the surf break. So we returned in the day time to watch the surf, and the muggles who where having a winter swim (and not in wet suits... )
Thanks JDHnz & LRPnz for the hide, and bringing us here.

Back on the road again for another international trip. This time to Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and South Korea.
Like our previous trips we focussed on old caches, high favorites, rare cache types and pretty locations.
Most of the trip was together with Plaguerider, Zanna and FLtravelers, but some of it I did solo.
Logs were signed as DATT (Do All The Things) and if there were answers, we typically sent them as a group.
Thanks for maintaining the caches for us.

Nice place to visit on a short trip away - we enjoyed the drive around.

Today I had a free day in Tauranga and luckily the weather was nice, so I could do a lot of hiking. I started walking to Marine Park than I went by bus to Mount Maunganui, on which I walked up on the afternoon. I enjoyed the beautiful view and of course all the nice Geocaches.
As all the others wrote the webcam is still out of order, but I add some pictures from GZ!
Thanks for hiding this one!

Headed to Tauranga for a long weekend of caching with Merlot58 and Jag50. Happened to be passing by this location and couldn't turn down this webcam cache even if it isn't working.
Despite the camera being out of action we thought it worth coming here and capturing our own version.
We were passing by so thought it silly not to take the opportunity to do this webcam cache despite the camera not working. Photo to prove I was there
**Trip log:**
Found during Team DATT's (Do All The Things) annual international caching trip consisting of FLtravelers, PlagueRider, waterfan5 and myself. Africa kicked it all off back in 2016, with a follow up European tour last year. I tried to pitch Asia but the pull of the Great Ocean Road and completing our 6th continent was too strong, and we landed on week long road trips through both Australia and New Zealand. Before meeting the team in Sydney though, I was able to schedule some layovers in Asia (Beijing, Bangkok and Singapore), so in the end I got a bit of everything. =)
**New Zealand Day 10 - Tauranga -> Rotorua -> Taupo:**
Today was one of my favorites in the country! We explored lots of smelly, yet beautiful places while slowly making our way south to Taupo. The geothermal activity in the area is fascinating, and there was lots of it. We also got to enjoy a Redwood forest (I haven't even done this back in the States!) and a number of gorgeous waterfalls and springs. Really wish we had more time in this area.
**Cache Log:**
First cache of the morning. We had stopped by last night to snap a pic, but decided to do a little more research and try to find a link to a working cam (since there appeared to be so many on that pole!) Our efforts were rewarded by a working link indeed! The cam was still a pain though, with a random refresh along the beach every 15 minutes or so. There was no way to anticipate its movements so we spread out over the beach hoping at least one of us would be in the pic. FLtravelers was the lucky winner on the 2nd go, but we decided to hang out for one more refresh and hope we got lucky, and we did! I'm half bent over, PlagueRider is squatting and FLtravelers is walking away, about to give up and post his individual pic. In the end, there is still a cam working on that pole, you just have to put forth a little effort because webcam selfies are the lamest of the lame. Thanks so much for keeping this one going, it was a fun group effort!

We’re on our annual international geocaching trip as Team DATT (Do All The Things) comprised of FLtravelers, PlagueRider, waterfan5, and zanna. This year we chose to explore Australia and New Zealand. Zanna and I decided to do a two-day stopover in Beijing, a three-day stopover in Bangkok, and a 12-hour layover in Singapore on our way to meet up with the rest of the team in Sydney.
Once we got the Team back together, we made a “bee-line” to Lane Cove and various caches around Sydney. Then we headed down the coast on A1. After visiting Wasp Head, we headed up through Canberra and down M31 to Melbourne, after a webcam stop on Mount Buller.
We had a great time in Melbourne, which is my favorite city in Australia so far, then onto the Great Ocean Road, the highlight of Australia for this trip. After a couple days (not nearly enough) we left the ocean road and headed up A6 towards Victor Harbor (webcam) and Adelaide (webcams) for our flight to Auckland. Seems we found every webcam in Australia.
We targeted old caches, highly favorited caches, earthcaches, virtuals, and of course webcam caches, and anything else that got our interest along the way. Logs were signed DATT. Answers, where required, were sent by one of the team members. Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of our trip with this cache.
This one took a bit, but we finally got it!

Wandered the beach right after sunset with team DATT (myself, waterfan5, zanna, and FLtravelers) trying to find the right spot, as the camera kept moving on us. Finally got all four of us into the picture. TFTC

Thought I’d log this whilst passing today seeing as everyone else is. Still not working on my pc.
Found during my trip in New Zealand.
Today, it's my 4rd day of my trip.
My travel today will be Hot Water Beach - Hahei - Tauranga - Hobbiton - Waitomo.
So on my way when I arrived near Mount Maunganui, i stopped here to visit this place and do this webcam cache.
At this time, i tested on my phone and I have no image for the link so i took a photo of me at the place where is the webcam.
It was nice place with a nice view. It was just a pity that there has some smog because of that we don't see the Mount Maunganui.
Thanks for this webcam cache and for discovering this place !

#698 - shame we cant use the webcam, to take a photo. but i love it down here at the Mt.
Visiting from Minnesota, USA for about 7 weeks. This webcam has been on VikingNav and my target list for awhile. Thanks for keeping this great webcam up! I hope it can be figured out and can stay.
This morning we arrived with Radiance of the Seas in the port of Tauranga after a 14 day Pacific cruise. After disembarking, we had a nice walk up to the summit of Mount Maunganui. On groundlevel again, we walked along the beach where we came along the Webcam. Unfortunately, still but accessible via the website. Like many others we took a photo to proof we were there; tftc
It's super busy here, it's quite as until you get onto this road, manage to pull Over and walk the 90m back to get a photo, I have wanted to get this one for a long time now so this made my day
What you don't see are the people in front and behind me.
So lovely seeing the families enjoying the day thanks for the Webcam

I'm travelling around NZ for 7 weeks, using geocaching as my tour-guide. Today I drove from Waihi Beach to Rotorua, via Tauranga to find important geocaches.
About this cache:
It's not many webcam-caches around, so I drove out here to find this cache. What a beautiful place! I tried to do it the proper way, but I couldn't access the link, so I took a selfie with the webcam. Thank you for not archiving this cache. Greetings from Norway

Not long after I had booked our flights home for a 2 week visit, I had a look to see what geocaches I'd love to find as we travelled around. We have been geocaching almost a year and a half and this is our first time to NZ as geocachers, so it is a bit exciting!
I soon noticed we could have the chance to find 10 types in a day as we journeyed from Auckland to Tauranga if there were CITO and regular events on the same day. Well I certainly didn't need to ponder the idea for long. I contacted a cacher duo in Tauranga and within a few weeks I had a CITO event published in Auckland and Lionfish had an event organised for us in Tauranga.
Now we just need to get from one to the other without getting too lost picking up the selected geocaches along the way!
This was the 9th cache type of the day. I had practised logging in and operating the camera from in Australia but my phone did not allow it today. As we attended the site and did everything within our power to meet the cache requirements I also am hoping the CO accepts our photo.
Thanks for the webcam cache, JDHnz & LRPnz. A fave point from us.

Went for a walk after rolling into our place nearby. Not too many webcam caches left in the world so I couldn't resist logging this one via selfie. Lovely spot!
We’re travelling around New Zealand in Janene our Jucy van, whilst in Rotorua were staying with friends. They’ve taken us to some of the great spots that tourists won’t generally know about, happily there is an earthcache at most of them - how cool is that??? Just what Geocaching is all about.
Travelling north a bit towards Coromandel I managed to persuade the muggle to stop here for a quick photo with a pole, I understand the webcam isn’t working so I took a selfie. TFTC

New Zealand ... a dream for every traveling [8)]
A little more than 20 years ago I've been here, but since then much has changed and that's also good! Now I'm back here ... 1 week North Island and 2 weeks South Island ... cool [^] Of course, I want to visit a few caches. Especially dissolved puzzle caches, which I find particularly attractive Best thanks to all the owners !! Greetings from the Swiss "Kiwi"

A few weeks ago, I was looking at my Project GC statistics and noted that my cache types in a day was sitting at 5 and my total cache types found was only 8. Reading some other cachers logs, I noted that some had managed 9 or even 10 in one day, so I set about planning how I could possibly achieve this.
There are only 12 filterable cache types on the main GC map page and of these 10 is probably the absolute maximum achievable and this can only happen if there are 2 event types happening on the same day close enough together to be attended. With the CITO week on at the end of Sept, this seemed to be an opportunity to make it happen and so, with a bit of planning, today was it. Left home at 6:00 am in a light wispy drizzle, prepared for an 800 km round trip.
Arrived here at 3:55 pm in some glorious sunny weather, although had followed some nasty heavy rain on the way down. Unfortunately, the webcam is not operational at present, so have attached a selfie at GZ, as other cachers have done for the last year, and hope this is okay. Cache type number ten in my 10 in one day challenge. Actually made 10 types in just 10 hours and 400 km travelling.
Even though this cache is currently disabled, I really hope it can be kept, as it would be a shame to lose it, especially as there are only 3 in NZ.

A challenge of mine for a while now has been to find 10 cache types in one day, and this has been a bit of a waiting game as the only webcam cache I hadn't found has been disable due to technical difficulties for a while, but I'll get to that when I log that cache. So with the plan having been in the works for a while all that was needed was a date, and being CITO weekend we thought it was the perfect time to give it a crack.
As Kiwis69 had mentioned the quantity of caches near home for me is minimal so this was going to be a pretty big day with some massive km's being traveled. First leg of the trip was up to Auckland, which meant a 3.30am start to get back to Hamilton in time for the CITO. Leg two was a trip to Tauranga for the webcams and leg three was through Rotorua then to Orakei for the Virtual cache, then back to Hamilton for a 6pm event to round out the 10 types. All up about 750kms of driving!!
So along with Kiwis69 and 11HPG11 we set off on our EPIC day of caching.
This was the troublesome cache I mentioned. I've been wanting to find this webcam for nearly 2 years but with it being disabled I have patiently waited for it to be fixed, and have even contacted the owners of the webcam multiple times, with no real success. Recently however I noticed the link has been removed from the website, for whatever reason and thought I've waited long enough and decided to go for it, as others have done. Hopefully one day this cache gets back up and running, and if it does I'll make the effort to complete this webcam as its intended, but for now please accept the photo of me at GZ as the webcam photo, which makes cache type number 8 of 10.

Day four of my break here in the Waikato and it is time to day goodbye to my little tank room that has been home for the past three nights. Packed up and decided to head into Hamilton to attend the CITO and vote, before heading through Karangahake Gorge to Waihi, through to my final destination of Mount Mainganui, caching in the way of course.
Heading towards my final goal of the day and my accommodation, but there is still plenty of time and daylight for a couple more caches on the way.
I noticed that this webcam cache is currently disabled due to technical issues on the website. Hopefully it will be fixed soon and be back up and running as intended. It would be a shame for these two webcams to be archived as it would just leave the one in Christchurch to be the sole webcam cache left in New Zealand. Hopefully the CO will accept a selfie with the webcam in the background for this in the interim. TFTC

A mission that has been a long time in the making. Today our goal was to collect 10 different cache types in a day. For Kiwis69 and myself this would have been fairly easy and a short day, but because we were tagging along with HKCB, this meant a few more kms and a wider caching area. We started the day at 3.30am and due to deciding to continue back to another event in Rotorua I got to bed at 5.30am the following day. Sleep is for the weak right?! A memorable day, spent in some great company and superb weather just to make the day even better. All up we did Hamilton - Auckland - Hamilton - Tauranga - Rotorua - Taupo - Hamilton - Rotorua - Hamilton. Travelling all those kms and still ended up in Hamilton
Second leg of the journey now, time to head to the Bay. Kayaks loaded, coffee fix had and now the sun was up it felt a lot more normal to be out and about.
Been waiting a looong long time to do this one but it seems to be at the bottom of their priority list to get it up and running. Needed to grab this one today so we opted for the selfie photo with the webcam. Happy to come back to complete the formalities when it's up and running.

And the second webcam cache on our trip through Tauranga. The weather was beautiful just the camera had problems. So we did it like the rest and made a selfie with us and the cam post in the back.
Afterwards we walked at the beach and made our way to the Hot Pools. Despite the sun it was still very cold and we could use some warm water. Perfect.
To end the day we made our way up to the mountain which did bring some drops of sweat on the way up and a beautiful view afterwards.
TFTC and we hope it will return soon.

Found on our first day in NZ, gloriously sunny before storm Debbie hits! Pigfumbler has uploaded our photo, tftc.
After climbing te Maunga we wandered along here to investigate this webcam. Thanks for setting this one up though it no longer works as originally intended.
We were here, but the Webcam ist off.
So we made ist in this way.
Many greetings from Germany.

We were in the neighbourhood for a family holiday. I have been keeping an eye on this one for ages. The webcam owners have not updated the sight for this webcam. The harbour one works fine and is fun to play with. We were heading to the Mount for an ice cream and I stopped by and quickly hopped out and took a photo. These are rare as hen's teeth now and it'll be sad if it goes.
Thanks for the cache JDHnz.

Day #18 of 23 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip covering Thailand, Australia and finally my beloved NZ .
Today I had a remember-able awesome tour around and up Mount Manganui!
The wheather was just fine - as I had ordered it from above : Blue skies , sunny , a light breeze to prevent overheating ....
Days like this are so precious [:X] - Dear Kiwis, hope you know how blessed you are to live in this beautiful country!!
Ended up with 14 kms of walking up- and downhill and 12 finds [:D.
Live is good and the day is my friend!
What a shame that this WebCam is deactivated! [B)]
But like everybody else is doing - I'm posting a photo of myself in front of the WebCam .
Hey - owners in Mount Manganui - you have super-cool caches [^] !
A big thanks [:X] to all Owners involved [^] for hiding and maintaining and the awesome scenery .
Cheers from Germany!

Look's like the cam is not up and working took a pic of the camera feed as I probably won't be back
This was a lovely find whilst visiting from Brisbane, Australia via The Legend of The Seas. I will upload a photo of us at GZ as soon as I have computer access. TFTC!
The webcam is out of action at the moment.. so we made a photo of ourselves with the cam!

Like many others hoping this webcam would be back up and running when we visited. Took photo with webcam in background. Also visited the webcam in Tauranga.
We also were disappointed to find the webcam out of action at the moment, and took a photo of ourselves nearby. Hopefully the webcam will be working again soon, so we can do this cache the way it was intended!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
PLEASE DONT LET ANOTHER WEBCAM CACHE GO!

Like others I have been hoping this would come back into action but doesn't look like it will.
I was there not long ago and took a photo with the webcam in the background.

To the reviewers:
The webcam used by this cache listing is hosted and maintained by a third party (EOL, an internet service provider), and as such I have no control over whether it is available or not. I am hopeful that EOL will eventually restore the webcam to be operational once more, as the webcam for the nearby "sister cache" is still operational.
Given that it is a webcam cache, rather than a physical traditional cache, there's no real reason that it should be preventing other caches from being placed nearby. People aren't going to confuse a webcam cache for a traditional cache as the methods of logging are completely different, and new webcam caches are no longer being accepted, so I had hoped that it would seem reasonable that this one could remain inactive until either EOL restore the camera, or indicate that it will not be restored at all (by explicitly stating so, or removing the page for it on their site).

Was there today after my mountain climbers. Got the camera out of action message so took an old-fashioned snap. Will attach when I get to my computer.
Pity it still out of action, maybe if it stays that way switch it to a virtual. Anyway grabbed a snap like others to say we had been here. With Jostyboynz team.
This was my 4th attempt of this cache:) like everytime when I hiked up on the top of Mount.
But webcam is still not working... so I attached photo like others:)
This is my last cache in NZ...after 555days is time to leave :'(
I had really great time here and I enjoyed every single minute!
I love NZ!

During our vacation to New Zealand we visited many beautiful places and visited some caches. This one was one of them. Without this very rare and old Webcam cache we had not visited this place determined.

On a walk around Tauranga from my cruise ship. Since the cache owner is taking a 'hard-line' and insisting on a real webcam screenshot, I can't call this a true successful find. However, I was there on the day, I did go on the webcam website, but unfortunately still, the "camera was currently undergoing maintenance". Therefore, I am 'writing a note', and posting a photo.
Stopped specifically to obtain the webcam cache only to find there a problem with the webcam after seeing other logs posting there own pic thought i would do the same hope this is acceptable in the circumstance tftc Lokky 1 8 January 2016 10:17
We visited this wonderful beach and so also this nice webcam. Unfortunatly it didn't work so i hope it is okay to take a photo of us and the webcam. I hope it will come back! Really nice view here.

Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!
Greetings from Finland

On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.
Welcome to MEGA Finland in 5-7 august 2016!
Today our trip continued from Taupo to Tauranga. Of course with some caching on the way. We had lots of fun and saw many nice places and caches. Hopefully our picture is ok. Thanks for the cache!
Welcome to MEGA Finland in 5-7 august 2016!
16th day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards north. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. After having a blast in South Island and in Christchurch Mega event, we had to start heading back home. Fortunately we still had few days left to spend in NZ while driving to Auckland. Photos attached to janahola's log. Shame java wasn't working but we managed to find camera and took our own pictures.
Please contact me if this is not ok to log.
I'm over from Melbourne, initially to attend the Mega in Christchurch but then in a 6 day family catch up tour in the North. My brother lives in Papamoa and I did a spot of cache research before coming over. I saw this was disabled but the website was working or so it seemed. Of course I have an android phone which doesn't support the Java link so I'd teed up a mate in Melbourne to take the screen shot but the update crashed their computer at work (yikes and oops) so managed to get another mate to sort it out. He works in IT and got the image just fine for the other webcam. So we figured that the same deal would work here too. Yeah nah. So I'm hoping that my log and reverse photo will be ok after an hour in the wind and sun. I just don't want to have this rare and special cache get archived. Beautiful area and views. Tftc

We did not know that the webcam was inaccessible. So when we were there we took a picture of ourselves and will post it as soon as we have gotten our photos organised after our holidays. Thanks for this unique cache at this fantastic location.
As mentioned in recent logs, this camera seems to be out of action at the moment, so I'm temporarily disabling this until it is fixed.
Not sure whether to claim this one or not, so please delete this log if you want. We just feel like we deserve it after the time & effort we put in! We spent ages and used much of our limited data trying to get the webcam to work but it seems as though it might be down at the moment, especially after reading the last few logs. We tried on an ipad, an android phone, and a laptop, trying both Internet Explorer and Firefox. We then downloaded Java and still couldn't get the applet to load. Instead, we resorted to taking screenshots of all of our devices and a photo at GZ. It's been many, many years since we've come across a webcam cache and it would be a shame if this one suffers from a technical issue. TFTC

Like for the last geocachers, no way to get the cam working. Really bad weather and only one webcam worked. I've taken screenshots with the hour and screenshots of my gps position. I join also my photo at gz.
A nice cache, so far away from my home country, France, but I really enjoy the 3 months I spend in this nice New Zealand country !!

Absolutely pouring down, heavy winds and strong surf. Seems to have affected the camera here. We could get the harbour one to work but this one appeared to be out have sent screen shots of camara and actually location
it would be a pleasure to return the help I was given from dear egghammer with this webcam cache during our stay in NZ and so I too want to offer to those who plan to visit this webcam cache to assist and take the webcam photo for you. just give me a day of notice in advance please, as I am not online round the clock.
We tried everything to get our laptops to work this webcam but didn't have any luck. We were really keen to pick this cache up as we have never done one before & if we did get it we'd achieve our goal of getting 7 different cache types today. The previous log wasn't on there at the time, otherwise we would happily have taken him up on the offer.
However an SOS call to a geo-caching friend back in Palmerston North had him mucking around with computers for quite a while, & he eventually got one to do what was required, so we rushed out the door (fortunately we were staying very close to it) & posed on a very cold evening for the much needed photo.
Thank you so much Thomas for helping us with this.(Please ignore all offers of remuneration made by Mr Rattll - I'm quite attached to our first born child!!!!!)

Ok.. little bit problem is time zome...before changed time it was 12 hours, now, we are "closed" and it is only 10 hours ..So..
SECOND TIME: I visited this place again and wrote him via FB messenger and waited... BUT.. camera failed to load..viz photo

We would love to log this webcam cache but just can't seem to make the webcam work on any of our devices.. So sad
Parked the campervan down the road and went for a walk at the very full and lively beach.
Finally can tick this one off. We have tried this a couple of time, without success and after a long wait to see how we could "save" the photo. We made it. pffff
Great to have such a cam still as a cache!

Last summer the idea was born to visit [Green]'New Zealand'[/Green], together with [url=http://coord.info/PR3NXJG][red]'MimiNemo'[/red][/url]
After some important decisions regarding the beginning of our trip, the flights, the general route and the car were made, the most important question was still unanswered: which caches can we visit during our tour [?]
To get an answer for this topic I was fetching almost every cache from both islands [8)][:X]
[url=http://coord.info/PR3NXJG][red]'MimiNemo'[/red][/url] and I love [Teal]'Geo-Arts'[/Teal]...so we added all these cache series to our wish list
After this decision was made this list was more than 300 puzzle caches long...unsolved puzzle caches
Two weeks before Christmas it was getting time to start solving all these mystery caches
Even with the different language I could find almost every solution
In the case I was not so successful I was contacting some of the CO's...and was always getting help from them...many thanks for this support [:X]
During the following weeks our cache list was growing and growing...meanwhile more than 1000 caches long...too long for a simple bookmark list from GC
Time to get our route and caches in sync...time to save the PQ's to our Garmins...time to start this holiday:
Chapter 21: [green]Rotorua[/green] to [red]Hamilton[/red]
After we had seen some of the beautiful places in [green]Rotorua[/green] we continued our trip to [Navy]'Hamilton'[/Navy]
During our long drive we were also looking for some caches
This webcam cache was one of them
For us it was really not so easy to get this screenshot
Therefore we are sitting with our laptop under the webcam
The photo I have taken is the same as for [url=http://coord.info/PR3NXJG][red]'MimiNemo'[/red][/url]
I would like to thank all the cache owners for showing us these great places and maintaining all these caches,

many thanks to egghammer and his friends for taking picture in canada .
many thanks to egghammer and his friends for taking picture in canada .
wow, this was really teamwork at it's best - the offer of taking a screenshot of us at the beach (+30 degrees) come from icy canada (-30 degrees) and we felt guilty indeed, making the mouth of dear egghammer and his friends water just by the look of all the surfers behind us. right after our waving session we jumped into the sea and the water temperature was great - after 2 months of waiting for that (even kiwis only went swimming with wetsuits - and this says it all, as those folks really are tough, we can tell)
many many thanks to you, guys - you were gorgeous (also having already uploaded the pictures for us) and we'd gladly help you with a screenshot as well, as soon as we've returned home from our trip around the world. hopefully you don't pay us back choosing similar 'mean' webcams with amazing beaches behind.
here comes a picture of how the water looked behind the webcam - we just loved it!

And thank you to k3ls0 for quickly jumping on to take a picture while I was doing some troubleshooting to get access to the webcam to make sure we would have a picture taken no matter what.
bubblezone and sfabrikg, I am so envious of the amazing 5 month adventure you are on right now, I know you guys are going to have the trip of a lifetime and if you're ever in Ontario Canada, send me a message and we'll grab a few caches together
Have an amazing journey!

It was a pleasure assisting with this one for bubblezone and sfabrikg today with egghammer, r0ckl0bst3r and I were together at home and figured it would be best that we make sure to get this one incase something happened on our end / egghammers end. I got a good chuckle out of the messages exchanged between egghammer, bubblezone and sfabrikg. I dont know if he passed it along but yes we are very envious you are there right now! It was enjoyable working with you on this one. Thanks for sharing your blog with us as well. I hope you enjoy your travels and maybe one day you can make it up to Canada
k3ls0 and I were sitting at home when we got a message from egghammer asking if we could help out with this one incase something happened with the computers. bubblezone and sfabrikg were aware they were getting some help from very nice Canadians! We took a few snap shots to ensure there would be no problems. Happy and Safe Travels
What a nice view We have enjoyed this webcam cache, we had some difficulties with taking picture, cause we are not from here, so we will upload picture later on (when we will come home). Thanks for putting this one up
I'm working on a challenge where I need to find some webcam caches. I don't have any around my area but would be willing to be the person on the other end taking the picture for someone.
If someone needs a hand with their picture, please let me know! I would love to help out.
Thanks!

Was a challenge on the iphone remoting in to work computer to control the cam, but fun!!!!
First webcam cache! Wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of a fellow cacher and friend. We think someone was controlling the cam before we could get use of it but managed to work it out in the end. TFTC!
Finally we got the opportunity to do this one. People thought we were nuts waving at the camera....LOL. Not such a nice day at the Mount today. GPS in hand, weather not that great for this one. TFTC JDHnz
I needed a bit of technical help from a 16 year old as I was almost completely out of my depth getting the laptop to control the camera when it 'just didn't seem to work'. Then, had to rely on housemate to operate the camera. That was fraught. Evidently the camera 'wouldn't behave itself' so this was officially another technical problem and nothing to do with the operator (whom I couldn't alienate, as needed the spare pair of hands and their laptop, now that it had been set up to work the camera -I didn't want to begin again with training up a new laptop!). Anyway, it took two 15-20 minute sessions on two days and two sets of a strained neck, but job done. This is my first web cam cache as you might be able to tell and part of the 7 souvenirs of August. TFTC
5.30pm - Gap & Squirrel really excited to have their webcam photo taken. Rather tricky doing these webcam caches but hey we got there in the end so maybe now we will do more.
This August Challenge really pushes you to try new types of caches... Out with Fap and Gap with the intention of finding our first ever webcam cache plus a few recent ones.
We brought our technical support crew to remotely manipulate the webcam, but struck some glitches right away. We phoned a couple of help desks and one was able to offer us a successful IT solution. A reasonable photo was taken... much to our delight (thanks Eruptn), and this secures another souvenir for August. TFTWCC.
