The magnets keep getting taken away from the cache so I'm going to Archive this and find another nice place to hide the cache

14-Jun-10
Someone must have stolen the magnet , will be replaced next weekend

12-Jun-10
Dropped by the other day on the way to work but could not find it.

27-May-10
Another lunchtime dash to what I thought will be an easy find.
After reading previous post, adding my vote for getting the cache checked.

26-May-10
My last cache attempt for the day, and it was getting pretty dark by now! Feeling a tad conspicuous as I searched up, down and around this location in my work clothes and with a torch! Not sure what the young ladies going to dusk walks up the hill would think. My search unfortunately turned up nothing, regardless of where I looked.

Was giving up, assuming that the dark had got the better of me, when my torchlight caught a glimpse of something familiar - Which turned out to be (recognisable only to a geocacher!) half a scrap of paper with the geocaching intro/explanation on it from the cache (I assume). So this one may need checking, just in case it's been muggled.

09-May-10
My first cache in Australia. Did this one after visited the amazing was memorial. TFTC.

08-May-10
First of the day with a small group of our cubs out for a walk up the hill. TFTC

02-May-10
Neat little find for our first of 8 today! Geoboy missed it completely but I picked it up! Thx

25-Apr-10
found early morning 2 of 12 on a gruelling morning walk. TFTC

Out lunchtime chaching again looking for a puzzle but "oh no" wrong co-ords. I can't leave without at least one cach so here I am going for a traditional when wow, I never knew this is where the Mt Ainsle trail starts (and a bunch of caches from here to the top). Thinking I may do the trail after work tonight - look out for a cruising puddle jumper.

05-Apr-10
It was dark and didn't have my torch with me so couldn't see it then checked the logs on my GPS and the last one said about finding the log on the ground so gave up and walked away I guess I should have looked a bit harder. Next time. TFTC

02-Apr-10
Found cache container minus logbook.Placed new small log bok in container
TFTC

28-Mar-10
Found the cache itself in the creek under the bridge, rep[laced on the bridge but no signs of the logbook!!!

11-Mar-10
It doesn't seem like the cache is missing just going by your description of log book.
If you haven't looked for the cache then it should need maintenance.
Will check it in the next few days

07-Mar-10
I hope I'm wrong but................

Arrived near GZ only to be confronted with what appears to be the log book in pieces. It seemed that pages had been torn out and the (I think) cover page were just under the bridge. Couldn't do a proper search due to the seemingly endless stream of muggles early in the morning.

As I said I hope I'm wrong.

18-Feb-10
easy find, could tell just from walking up to GZ, my first cache in a while.

26-Jan-10
Returned to this cache after many years. Far less overgrown than we remembered.

Nice hide ... though it is now a brown container, not a white one.

09-Jan-10
Easy find a little bit away from the day's heat... TFTC!

Great find with our friends, who we had come to visit,

07-Jan-10
War memorial was very busy but the park was pretty quiet due to the midday heat. Thanks.

05-Jan-10
You have to muggle aware here. Nice locations

03-Jan-10
Found this one on a visit to Canberra to catch up with a friend. We had been to the War Memorial before but had not venture over here. We enjoyed seeing the Kokada memorial before searching for the cache. I acted as the lookout while Marco conducted the search but he came up empty handed at first. After waiting for a few more "very fit" muggles heading up Mount Ainslie he tried again and found the cache where he thought he had already looked! TNLNSL TFTC

03-Jan-10
Fast found after visiting the Memorial. Very impressive museum!
TFTC! Bernbom (Denmark) #597

01-Jan-10
That one took us a while due to all that muggles around here. Nice hide!

20-Dec-09
Well, had a wierd geocaching experience on this one while writing in the log on this cache. Can't really say precisely what it was but needless to say I was trapped in the location for a couple of minutes while some muggles walked by very close to my position! Felt very covert I did!

Anyway, all good and TFTC.

06-Dec-09
Found by Greg 1510H 6/12/09. Just a quick ambush find while visiting the nearby rememberance.

31-Oct-09
Find #13 for the day, Find #1 for the Night Raid and Find #50 for Oz Lurker. Got home only to realise that we had stopped at #49 - this would not do, so headed out to capture a couple more - Remebrance Park seemed appropriate for Find #50, and I was right. A nice quick little find, behind a well lit War Memorial. TNLNSL - TFTC.

30-Oct-09
Ahhhh...it was there this time ...Nice walk - was so good to be out for a quickie caching run this evening after exams - have missed it. Smile

29-Oct-09
hundreds of schoolkid muggles nearby, with protection or surondings went the grab and a quick log. saw a lizzard too.

29-Oct-09
Drove up a for a bit of a lunchtime cache with JmanJezza and found 400,000 school kids littering the area. Or was that loitering? The interwebs were also very slow this afternoon. Anyway, once I downloaded the co-ords and punched it into the eTrex it was a bit better and showed that I should have just trusted my geosense, since it turned out to be where I expected. JmanJezza spotted and grabbed the cache while I was checking the other end. We wandered up the hill away from the kids a bit to sign the log in peace.

An afternoon caching with Sara. If anyone is keen for a 3 horu leisurely hike, then this was a great plan

Remembrance Park – GCKJWM
Australia Day – GC1M4AJ
Fallen – GCZ77M
Just for the Views #4 – GC1X93T
Underneath – GC11XXB
Cache on the Hill – GCQ16P
City Country – GCA265
Brand Views – GC1DDAG
Climbing Ainslie – GC18CFW

Remembrance Park was a previous DNF, although Sara found very quickly this time in the same location I had previously spent some time crawling around. Thankfully there weren't many muggles, although she did have to hide under the bridge as some people walked across when signing the log. TFTC

18-Oct-09
This one was a goody. Liked it very much. This cache, and others like it, are why I have geocaching specific clothing. No point trying to look fashionable when there is a potential for mud. I was quiet as a mouse at GZ.

14-Oct-09
All ok to go now, BYO pen

28-Sep-09
Will get this checked out in the next few days

28-Sep-09
I wasn't very impressed to log this DNF due to a couple of factors - my sad tale follows. After a swim at the nearby ADFA pool I decided to cool down by walking in the blistering wind around the base of Mt Ainslie to pick up some caches. Well, why not? I parked at the base of Mt Ainslie where the road starts and found 'Just a Little Higher', 'An anogram of CORK' and 'Forgotten Hero's'. This cache was last on the list before I walked back to the car. My issue was that I had decided that rather than shower after my swim I would do so after my walk. So I was walking in semi-wet bathers, my shorts/t-shirt were soon wet from the wettish swimmers underneath and by the time I got to the war memorial I had a horrid case of chafe developing.

Not a happy experience when you can't find the cache. GZ took me to a very obvious cache hiding spot, I checked for trolls and caches with no avail. A lack of muggles in the cold weather meant I could be very unstealthy in my searching. Widened my search area by 5, then 10, then 20 metres with no luck. Finally had to give up and start the slow, painful waddle back to the car.

19-Sep-09
Just like Batgirl & co, looked throughly for this one but to no avail. GPS kept bringing us back to same way point. Maybe it has been muggled?

06-Sep-09
Searched far more obviously than we should have however all to no avail. '"Found" (or Not found) another possibly muggled cache just up the hill a ways so no idea if this one is gone or if we were suffering cache blindness.

01-Aug-09
Quick find. Log was slightly damp but still writeable. TFTC

26-Jul-09
The first for the day. Found this one after the GPSr had us going in the wrong direction and Mrs Dino was walking up the hill.

The log was damp and difficult to remove from the container.

dragged out by the guys at work to go caching, left our nice warm office for the winter weather outside, turned out to be a good day for it and a nice walk as well. number 5 for the trip.

a lovely area for a walk! not too hard to find.

23-Jun-09
Great hiding spot, close to my work. Found it with colleagues on my lunch break.

The log was full so I wrote on the back. It was also getting a little soggy around the edges. The container isn't very waterproof.

17-May-09
While we have been caching for some months we have not been logging them. [:o)]
It is time to catch up.
We spent the day travelling with SamWalkers

Nice spot to hide though the container was sitting in plain view. Didn't appear to have been muggled. It is all tucked back in now.

Spent the day at the National War Memorial. Took in a few nearby caches at the end of the day. This one was an easy one as I found it in the creek on the ground. Lucky it didn't get washed away on Monday. TFTC

13-Apr-09
Found this one when I was Mrs Cheesy Pig. I have struck out on my own and am now logging the caches I found in my previous persona (but not the ones found only by Mr Cheesy Pig of course)! Let me know if you would like me to find it and log it again but under my new name.

13-Apr-09
4:06 pm - After having a walk around the Australian War Memorial I returned o the car and discovered that there was a traditional cache nearby. Not wanting to let the opportunity pass by I went for a short stroll and found the cache very quickly.

Thanks Skippy and Lambchops.

Found it OK. This was my 3rd visit to Canberra as a Geocacher and my 3rd attempt at trying to locate the cache while visiting the area. I don't know what happened on the previous two attempts but the cache was not where I managed to find it on this occasion.TFTC. Anyway, found it at last! Tavurvur

21-Jan-09
Despite living in Canberra my entire life and having visited the War Memorial countless times, I had no clue this nice little park on the lower slopes of Mount Ainslie existed. Thanks for taking me there Skippy&Lambchops!

And thanks for the cache!

18-Jan-09
Between seeking refreshment and visiting the war memorial, I took a walk in the hot sun to find the cache. If I had been fully equipped I might have ventured further up the path, but had to be content with the cache today.

Thanks Skippy&Lambchops - TNLN

17-Jan-09
Even if I did find this, I wouldn't have been able to sign the log... no pen.

However, the reason I couldn't find this is not because its gone missing, but because the Muggle traffic was high in the area. Lunch time is probably the wrong time to visit this one.

16-Jan-09
As Bezerker said - I kept a Muggle watch whist the cache was found and signed.

16-Jan-09
Final find for the day with The Clarke Clan, he played look out while I filled in the log, felt like the billy goats gruff story. There were a couple of muggles at the BBQ area but luckily they stopped so I could make my exit Smile
