bout time the cache was dumped along with the owner who doesnt appear to be interested in caching any more--check out when he went caching last!!!!

We have been watching this cache since we were unable to find it last year, but since then there have been 3 others unable to find it. The last person to find it said it was easy, so it appears that it may have disappeared. Perhaps it could be checked?

Come on, Jabba, check this again. Couldn't find with two searching and 45 minutes. Would be nice to have a better clue if the cache is really here. Tis a pretty view.

Like the others before us, no luck. We looked in every little nook and cranny. Could it be it isn't there any more since it hasn't been found for several months? It was interesting to read what is on the monument of "Captain Cook" and to see the view from this location. TFTC

Like the person before us 3 of us searched the crevices thoroughly with no luck. Lots of broken glass. Is this cache still there??

07-Dec-06
Well, we were disappointed not to find this. We read the blurb, but despite searching the crevices for ages, many times we still didn't find anything. Would be interested to see if anyone else has any luck with this from now on!

Walked up the hill from my hotel at 11:00pm on the 13th. Gave up trying to find the second waypoint at 12:30am on the 14th. Had no torch light.
The first waypoint was easy to find.
The second waypoint eluded me, mainly due to my lack of torchlight. Wasn't impressed by the rain!.

We found the 1st cache with not much problem, but had some difficulty finding the 2nd cache, the contents of the 2nd cache had all gone, but a search around the bank found a note from "rubbish Party" dated 11/06/06.
We left our toads logo with our email address, and a tic tac container wedged inside the cache with the date of our visit. This was our first geocaching experience and we would like to thank Jabba-the-hutt for making it such an enjoyable experience. We're hooked!

Found the second one hard to find!

We stayed overnight at the Portside (Recommended by us) and ate at the Wharf (don't eat anywhere else, it's expensive but the food is awesome).

We found the 1st location quite easily, but the second eluded us for a while as the path had disappeared. I could see a likely trail and we went to the top of the hill, over a rail and followed the train back down. The cache was there, with the busines card as mentioned in the log and we used a stick to retrive.

We weighted the cache with a stick to make future retrives a little easier, but it might be good if the next visitor comes more prepared for a complete replacement. This is a great cache and it is a shame it finishes in a bit of an anticlimax.

There was nothing to sign, I can e-mail you the brand name from the container or a photo if you like.

Thnaks, we both enjoyed this.

Very enjoyable cache, but as mentioned previously, the box was empty, actually half the box is missing. Jammed a business card into the remaining half, which can serve as a temporary log. The instructions at wp1 are very wet, but still readable, but need handling with care.

Empty!! Fabulous run up the hill via streets then down via the tracks. Staying at Portside recommended.

[great cache really enjoyed finding it!! however it was still badly soaked!! so could not leave anything or fill the note book I am in Gisborne regularly so will make a special effort to do running repairs!!. Loved the design for the second cache? Took a little while to find though.]

Great cache and after staring at it for about 5 mins and alsmost giving up I finally spotted it right in front of me.

Unfortunately the cache was full of water and therefore the instructions and notebook are complete mush. I dumped the insense as it was also mush. I could not do anymore to fix it up as we were on our way out of town. Ideally it needs a new container, a new notebook and instructions. Perhaps the next visitor could go prepared to fix it as it a great cache.

1pm, WE LOVE GISBORNE! - cache found with difficulty. But we had virtually no time limit, so eventually we found it. WOW - very interesting "construction". Well done!
+ micropegs
- nil

Found this one with Rick-a-mortis. Love the idea for hiding the second cache.

Very clever hide for the second cache Wink. But quite difficult to be discrete for the first one - I couldn't avoid 'giving the game away' to some onlookers.
+ couple of small reflectors
- nothing
Thanks, M@.

Had some friends trial this cache, and checked it was still ok. Beware of poor readings under trees.
