We have finally received communication from the shire and it looks like these works will be going on until next year. Also, they did not think the new playground would be made of wood, so we reluctantly are archiving this one.
If things change in the future, we will replace it with a new one.

Looks like more work going on here and some clues have been removed.
Will sort it out over the weekend.
Will sort it out over the weekend.
Second location is under reconstruction. No BBQ area or playground equipment visible here at the moment. Not sure what will be here in the future .
Forgot to mention that the vertical slabs is very subjective and ambiguous. There are 3 separate parts to one area you could take it as a whole or separate. Some slabs are also shorter than their horizontal width and some have joins.
One of my very first cache finds and sad to say drove past today and noted wooden work demolished, completely gone.
Can’t access for another WP due to construction site. Will come back again someday
Also didn't find it. I think we got the numbers right
Either way good fun! Our kids are young enough to not know we were looking for something in the first place. So no disappointment here!

Hmmmmm, we followed all of the possible coordinates and found a very likely target, but no luck finding the cache… will check back regularly to see if anyone else can find it..
Came here before heading to the Moonlit Santuary for the night tour. While the Geokids and Geofriends played, I worked out the coordinates and made the easy treasure find. But after I got some of the numbers wrong and had to reassess.
Chook was down in the area for a couple of days, visiting some relatives. This morning she set off with Sue and little dog Penny for a walk around this park, with this geocache being part of the agenda. We struggled with the value for C and a quick message to the CO with a photo attached suggested things may have changed recently. Not to worry, we could make an educated guess which turned out to be correct. Otherwise it was a nice fun multi and the final cache was located easily and was in good condition. We continued our walk to check out the Ballam Park homestead and also admire all the various dog and athletic facilities this rather large park has to offer. Thank you Team Crackers for maintaining this multi cache. We really enjoyed our morning in the park.
A lovely day for a walk in the park . .. the cache was found safe and sound in its little hiding place .. thanks for placing the cache .. while here I took the opportunity to do the nearby adventure lab too
On our way home and dropped in to this area for a different geolocation event. Great to get this 18 year old cache while the kids were on the playground! Thanks.

Found and signed while on Christmas hol's with catnap777.
Our first Christmas together and we spent it chasing challenge caches and those needed to fulfill them. This one filled two slots as both a D1/T1 multi, and a Jasmer cache for October 2004. [^]
Oh look!.... Unicorn poop!
I'm guessing the reason a D1/T1 multi is so rare is that surely any multi must be harder than the easiest trad so therefore must be at least D1.5.
We still managed to make it harder than it needed to be, but after tweaking one number for final coords, the cache was found in the obvious spot, signed and returned in very good condition. [8)]
TFTC Team Crackers, and thanks for keeping this old rare one alive.
P.s.
I still have no idea what "< , b >" means.

Wow, I couldn't believe my luck when dalerious showed me the D/T rating for this multi. You see, I needed a 1/1 multi for a challenge and they are as scarce as hens teeth; actually, there are probably many more hens with teeth . There is one other that I know of, and it is close to home, but unfortunately it is missing . So thank you Team Crackers for providing this one. We initially had trouble getting a good set of numbers, but we just tweaked one till it looked sweet . Cache found in good condition, and another challenge met. Sweet!
I had to pick up some parts for the ranger in mornington . It’s so far away, so given it is a lovely evening it was worth making the most of it and targeting a few caches along the way.
After kebabs in the park for dinner we set off in search of this multi and it’s locations. A group of kids were playing Basketball by car headlight while we counted and added in the shadows.
After a wander around we found the cache, signed the log and returned to the car to find it all in one piece and the parts still safely tied down. It must be home time!
Thanks Team Crackers for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

An impromptu trip down south to pick up some car parts. So why not grab a cache or two while there.
As it was now dark, we grabbed a kebab and HSP at the local, and headed here to eat. Mmmm.
Once we’d finished, we grabbed our torches and wandered around finding all the bits and pieces before making our way to gz for a quick find. Looks like a great park. Will have to come back in daylight some time.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Team Crackers

Really enjoyed the hunt!! Took awhile, questioned my calculations but found it nonetheless, tftc!
Brought the niece and nephew along to find this one. Great day for a play at the playgrounds and a little side cache hunt. Thanks for the hide, kids loved it
This one was a little tough but fun thanks
A couple of things to update on description please:

Please include units of measure for the gps coordinates. There are at least three different ways to note these and it turns out your notation is I'm degrees and minutes, withdecimal point after the 9. Should read
S38° 09.172'
E145° 09.552'

I thought I would do this 1 after I dropped kids off at school 1st day back after school holidays knowing there wouldn’t be too many people around. Nice quick easy find.
We were pleased this multi was spread out over a large area as that way two old blokes didnt look as bad walking round a playground, with all the needed information collected we got to GZ and waited till the coast was clear and goose grabbed this one without being spotted.
Thanks for another old Multi.
Well this Easter I wasn't planning on caching in Victoria at all, in fact myself and Goose of Gooseandegg were meant to be at the Mega in Dayboro Queensland but with the COVID outbreak and Dayboro being in a hot zone we would have had to go into 14 days of quarantine upon our return to Tasmania.
As it turned out this was lifted before we returned but it was too big a risk to take as neither of us wanted to be away from our families for that long or put them at risk.
So we spent almost a week finding rare D/Ts we needed, wonderful old caches and a few types that are in short supply in Tassie, thanks to all the COs for the hard work put into placing these caches.
Thanks for the cache.

Two middle aged men in a playground is always fun [B)]. We were focused on the prize and got around the two way points pretty quickly. Let me tell you the filthy language coming from one old bloke to a young child took away any interest in us. I was utterly disgusted. Don't get me wrong, I can swear as well an anyone but not around children.
We moved on quickly and checked our final coordinates, they looked good so off we trotted. I could see the cache at GZ bit wanted a stick to check for dangers first before grabbing it. All good!
Thanks for another multi Team Crackers
I was all set to go to the Dayboro Mega when a COVID outbreak stopped us dead in our tracks. The Tasmanian Govt was slow to react and open up borders again and, not wanting to risk 14 days quarantine, the trip was cancelled and a hasty little adventure was created to Melbourne and surrounds.

What an awesome park! Kids would love it here. Was out with my friend oshfam on a really nice day, sunny but not hot. This cache was found after a nice walk through the park and some nutting out of numbers, great cache. Thank you.
Out with Jetsons23 continuing our urban caching adventures together. It's a lovely sunny day with a slight breeze. Thankfully Covid-19 restrictions have eased and we are able to enjoy our day mask free but still following good hygiene practices handling caches.
We took a relaxing seat to gather the required information before moving onto the next WP where we gathered some more numbers. Now I'm not the best at maths but we were both reasonably confident we had the correct numbers. So off we wandered to GZ. Once there, Jetsons23 and I circled the tree once or twice. It was upon a closer inspection that the cache was found. Jetsons23 volunteered to retrieve it as there was a chance there would be creatures of the 8 legged variety lurking within.
The cache and log was in good condition. The cache was chock full of stickers, stickers, stickers! I gathered them all up and put them into a plastic bag to keep them all together. We had a look through them and there were some good ones but decided not to take any. We were getting a little hungry now as I stomachs grumbled so it was time to walk back to the car and get some food.
This is a beautiful park here. So much to do for kids and adults alike. Such variety. There should be more parks like this in other communities instead of building more concrete jungles. Lovely agapanthus growing here too.

Covid-19 restrictions are now off and geocaching is on again so time to enable again.
Due to the new Covid 19 restrictions Geo Caching is not a reason to be out so we are disabling our caches untill safe to enable again.
Please stay home and be Safe.

This one isn't anywhere to be found, due to has been found by a child or Reno at park.
Dropped in to check this one and it had indeed gone missing.
All good again now, happy hunting.

Found the spot but looks like cache has been discovered and thrown away. Only geocache card remaining. Need maintanence
Some construction work had us nervous from the start... Then some disagreement about what constitutes a 'vertical block' had us unsure of the coordinates, and then with the terrible weather, my GPS wasn't playing the game. Having grown up in Frankston, a return to my childhood park was lovely, though.

In the area today for work and only had time for one cache before heading home.
Between the rain and muggles I did the required work and soon had the log stamped.
I did encounter an absolute crazy bird at Gz.
Cheers for the cache

The sun was out for the afternoon and since we were up here looking for a good spot to plant a new cache we decided to stop and have a go at this one at the same time. The playgrounds were very busy with young muggles having fun but we were able to sit in the car and work out where GZ might be and although we were a little unsure about the answer to C we were close enough that it wasn’t too hard to find a plausible hiding spot and found it in the second place we looked! The cache was a little light on swag so I fixed that by adding a very nice assortment for the next finders to pick from! So we signed the log, re-hid the container and headed back to the car but when we got there Gnome5580 asked where the keys were... doh! Managed to drop them somewhere along the way! Poor Gnome5580 had to backtrack and of course found them all the way back near the cache! Always the way! Lol TFTC!

The last days of winter and decided to grab a couple of fairly local caches. The sun was out and not too many muggles around to stop me grabbing the necessary info. Did the calcs and wandered over to GZ. A lot of potential hides so I scanned for a likely and my guess was right. Log signed and all back safe again. Wandered over to look at the old Homestead.

I had enjoyed a splash at the indoor pool up the road with my niece and nephew and then called in here to attack this again. Something didn't seem right about the kids not coming along for this one, just as the weather was clearing up but what can you do. A mostly deserted playground made things easier and although I'm still not sure of an answer for C, I realised I had stuffed up my counting for a couple of the other letters the first time around. With that rectified, it was a matter of trial and error for the unknown coordinate to obtain a plausible GZ. It didn't take long to work out and a very nicely hidden cache was found!
Thanks Team Crackers for the multi.

Out of bed and running this morning, it'caching time
Gathered the clues at both locations and worked out the final coordinates and strolled on over. I had to time the retrieval as there was a cross country coarse passing both sides of the hiding object barely 5 meters either side. In between runners I grabbed and signed the log and wandered back to the geovehicle wishing I still had some of that youthful vigor that delayed me making the find.

Off to the movies today to see the new MIB arrived a little earlier than need to be.. so quick look at the app and found this one. After walking around the playground answering the questions we had the cache in hand shortly after. Found with TroyfindZ signed and returned the log, left nothing took nothing. TFTC
Cache found to be all in good order.. few construction things going on in the area. But are not a problem. Thanks for the find team crackers!
Arrived at a very busy Ballam park and began collecting required information. Put some co-ordinates in and I was looking at climbing someone's roof over the fence. I did not have a ladder so I proceeded to improvise and checked a few possible tree trunks to no avail. Fairly certain those concrete slabs had me confused. Another time, thanks team crackers.

This cache was one I had tried to do some months ago, but found the cache was no longer there. Today I was back in the area and with the cache now back in position I was able to make a quick find and claim a smiley. A great playground one that I’m sure my children when they were little would have loved to have come and played at.

Got it! Nice fun cache. We left it with slightly more camouflage (a few more leaves on top). Don’t forget to bring some good swaps with you, we didn’t, so didn’t take anything but currently there is something I thought was super cool in there and if we had something of equal swap value we would have taken it.

Found with Eliott Geoson after a long session at the playground. The replacement cache is in good condition.
Finally having reworked the math again I had a GZ that looked pretty good. A short stroll to the location had me searching in all the right sort of places but no cache was to be had. Just as I was about to give up, I went back to the first spot I searched and after a more thorough search, I felt something very familiar. With the cache now in hand, I signed the log and returned the cache as found. TNLNSL. TFTC. Kkams
Was here a few weeks ago with no luck saw post that was missing and replaced so thought we would try again
Better luck this time nice hide and kids had fun leaving a little gift for those still to come

I found with Team Nekochan, the Monkey King, and NaokObin. This is the first time for visiting Melbourne to meet friends for 2 years. It was a nice summer day. We enjoyed the nice view. Thanks for the cache.
I went with Team Nekochan and our friends, DaisuObin and NaokObin, visiting from Japan to find this cache before taking them to dinner near by.
I couldn't use my GPSr as it wouldn't load the information, so I fell back to using my Tablet to navigate around.
As I don't often use my tablet to geocache with I had a bit of a learning curve, and my tablet made it's own waypoints just for fun before we arrived at the final destination.
Fortuantely the muggles in the area were out of sight whilst we searched for the hidden location, which we soon found.
Although we weren't the FTF for the actual cache, we were the first to sign the new log book for the replacement cache.
We all signed on the first page, and I drew a picture of my Funassyi travel bug next to our names.
A fun cache, and it was the first time for our Japanese friends to find a multi cache.
Thank you for the (replacement) cache.

Eliott Geoson helped with the counting to obtain the coords for GZ. As with previous cachers, we searched every crevice in the tree trunk (of which there were a few), but to no avail. This one is likely missing.
I confirmed I had the correct calculations for GZ with another cacher. I searched for a considerable amount of time at GZ looking in every hole and crevice, but came up empty handed.
An easy find on a cold day. Minimal Muggles Just as I'd finished signing, a gardener appeared to mow. Used tree as cover when replacing. Contents in good condition. If only team draggedalong were little again... TFTC
I have spent a lot of time at this park with my 2 boys for sport and play. The recent upgrade looks awesome! Wanted to go play but there were a few too many actual kids around..
Collected required info previously and returned today to pick up the final.
Thanks to the rain, there was nobody around, so, nice easy pickup.

Met up with a muggle mate and his muglets who were busy playing on the park. While they were playing and we were chatting I got the cords for the cache. The muglets weren’t that fussed with learning about caching just yet so the let me with the cords and went home for dinner. It didn’t take long before I was at GZ and I could see some things out of place and I found the hiding spot. Love this park, I often meet my friend here with the muglets for play, was a play ground for me as a child too. TFTC and another reason to come back here again, it won’t be the last that’s for sure.
Our first multi and failed. We feel like we must have mucked up the coordinates. Inspired by others. Will return with fresher minds.
We found our way inadvertently down this part of the world as we chased a nearby FTF trad even though we were targeting multi's for beckNmonts at the time of the notification. So after a long catch up with fellow crazy FTF hunters we looked for an easy nearby multi to make our 6th for the day, allowing a challenge to be fulfilled for beckNmonts.
Figuring this was the best time of the day/night to be here anyway it worked out well as we counted our way to the final.
Thanks Team Crackers for adding to our fun tonight.

I wanted to try get 6 multi caches today, as there is a challenge cache where you need 6 multi’s on two days. So after an impromptu FTF hunt lead us to the area, we decided this could make our 6th. Once again, I wasn’t allowed to play, caching, we are here for caching! So sad. TFTC Team Crackers
Passing through the area today with 45 minutes to spare.
This old gem caught my eye.
Everything worked perfectly.
All things counted, without leaving the driver's seat.
Numbers crunched and GZ calculated. [8)]
Nice to get out and stretch the legs on the way to the hide.
Cache found after improvising a TOTT to sweep aside the cobwebs.
Ahhh, that unmistakable sound when contact is made.
Thank you for placing and maintaining this classic multi Team Crackers. [^]

Early morning wake up - Check
Coffee - Check
Drive to Peninsula campis to catch the bus to clayton........... *ding* wait wouldnt the ballam park playground be empty........ well looks like it is time to do a multi.
I find myself rather hessitant with playground caches. As having a guy in his early 20's walk around a playground cpunting things can seem very suss. But with no judging eyes I decieded to jead off and grab this cache anyways.
With that all said and done now to the cache, empty parking lot is always a goid sign and I seemingly had a muggle free area to do a multi...... woohoo. So off I went and collect all the clues I needed and all the information fit without to much worry. At the final I found a trusty poking stick and gently moved it around until I felt the container. Log signed and now to go to uni. Anyways thabks for the cache and the amazing little playground

As I'd started off being 3 months behind in my logging I am desperately trying to catch up and am mass logging to do so.
I'd come to Melbourne for the 2017 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards day and ended up staying for about 5 days
Most of the nights were spent at the kindly kmace's place although the last couple I decided to spend in the car due to unforeseen caching circumstances that had me in strange areas
Today I was determined to complete a multi that i had started last night but had horrendously messed up Seems tiredness really does play a part in how easily a problem gets solved![)][)]
11 finds today and only 1 DNF as I made my way back to Shepparton.
Anyone wood think I have a penchant for Wooden Work multis
Seems I have found a few this trip and there's a good reason for that [^]
Loved seeing some of the area near GZ even though it was nearly 10pm
Had a helicopter spotlighting above while my hand held sun and I wandered in to GZ so I made sure I didn't shine the hand held sun up at them
No other muggles around at 10pm at night [^]

**# 20287** Found on a fine day for a drive while staying nearby.
Hardly any muggles around and a few good hides.
Another one of these ticked off the list, nice stroll and safe hide.
Thanks for the cache Team Crackers,

A gorgeous evening had this wonderful park still solidly utilised by the time I ventured here. It seemed an intriguing location that the Mini-Welders may come to know in the near future, so I thought some preliminary reconnaissance was in order.
And I was not disappointed!
The data gathering was effective enough and took me on a route to appreciate many features of the park.
And GZ was a straightforward affair in a thoughtfully located position.
Thanks so much for bringing me here, Team Crackers. The Mini-Welders are going to love it!!!

Quick easy find here today away from the niggles. Cache in good condition.. tftc
On a trip tother side and had been berry picking nearby. Came to the cache location for lunch and saw rlthat this cache was here. Roped the young uns into help gather the required info then went for the short walk to find it. TFTC.
Found myself driving by and decided to pop in and try and find this one despite the previous DNF and the lack of a log for almost the past three months. First WP went swimmingly barring'C' but much like a previous finder it didn't really make much of a difference. WP2 was a little less comfortable for this unaccompanied adult male. Despite resolutely focusing on the relevant pieces of equipment, from the BBQ area and pavement I still received more than one suspicious parental glance in my direction. That wasn't going to stop me however and I discerned the required information.
I knew that the cache was away from the play area but I was still glad to be able to walk off from WP2. Once at GZ I had a couple of promising targets and I believe someone has added a red herring which didn't match the T rating of the cache at all and probably required a tree climb attribute to be added. I ignored that despite it being quite intriguing and went for a couple of spots which were a little simpler.
Sure enough the cache was in one of them with a wine bottle on top acting as camouflage? I moved the cache (once the log was signed) to a different cavity and added some natural camo to obscure it from idle muggle eyes.

Cache is in great condition, was in a nice quiet spot and was a fun find for the kids (and a terrific excuse to go to the park). Thanks for the cache!
A great chance to check out the new playground, and a fun multi for kids both little and big. Thank you
I read this morning that if you found a cache today you will be rewarded with a souvenir to celebrate 17 of Geocaching. So what cache would I look for during my lunch break. I came by to do this one last year however there were renovations happening. I saw it was now reactivated and thought I will revisit. Before last year I hadn't been to this park since the kids were little. Drove into the carpark and it started to rain. So armed with the brolly I headed over to the starting point. Surprised to see people still playing in the rain. Collected the clues but was uncertain of my answer for C. I then made my way to the next waypoint. Collected more clues and headed towards GZ. Fortunately the C answer I got didn't put me too far out from the cache itself. By this time the rain had stopped and I was able to put the brolly down. Loved the little hidey spot. Thanks for the cache and I look forward to returning to this park with the grand kids.
Thanks for getting this one up and running again Team Crackers.
When we first started geocaching early last year, I was avoiding getting this cache solo until the whole family could get it, because the kids love this park.
Then it got disabled because of all the works to upgrade it, which just dragged on and on.
Glad the cache is up and running again, but the park is still not fully open (which is a shame because kids are now back at school) so not waiting any longer and had to get it.
Will still have to come back with the kids and our daughter will love the new long monkey bars.
Thanks for the cache Team Crackers

The work here is 3/4's complete and most of the play equipment is open to the public now.
It is not quite the same as the first Wooden Work, but apparently safer.

With most of the equipment now back in action we have reworked the cache page and it is all set to go.
We stopped by here a few days back and it looks like they are nearing completion, hopefully not long now.

Thank you Bunjil for the reminder.
We contacted the Shire and they informed us they are behind schedule but the play ground should be open early January.
As soon as it is we will re gig the puzzle and get it back on line.

We went passed and it was still fenced off so we made contact with the council, work should be finished by the end of November with any sort of luck.
This one is being renovated at the moment so we will disable it until they finish the work.
Had a look at the site for this multi. The playground at the posted coordinates is completely sealed off and a lot of the play equipment/structures needed for the info have been dismantled or removed. The other WP appears unaffected for the time being.
Came by this morning to pick up the clues and the whole park is fenced off for construction works. It was still not day light so don't know if you can still get the clues from a distance let alone the cache! Will keep a watch on this one.
