Logs
On a nearly 3 week holiday to Tassie in September/October 2013 we had time for a fair bit of caching. Only just catching up with logging our finds due to a heap of family dramas that started when we got home (just as well we had a magnificent trip) Mrs had visited Richmond in 2012 with her Mum and decided that she and Doc had to come back. Beautiful spot. We found this on 3/10. Those, ducks, those damn ducks were everywhere but here. No muggles either. TFTC Left a smiley badge.
As there's been no response, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Noticed that although this cache is temporarily disabled it has been found fairly recently so we did the maths in this beautiful spot and wandered off and found the cache in its great little hiding spot. After a quick run back to the car for a pen the log was signed and returned. All of the construction works in the area are finished now and the cache is easily accessible. TFTC
Although this one is disabled, we had a DNF back in 2010 and seeing as we live far far away now, zita had to take the opportunity of finding on a quick break here over Easter. Good Friday was the perfect time to go searching, not sure how we could have missed this one last time, especially as there were two of us looking. Favourite point for the multi and walk (and finally getting a DNF off the list!). The cache is in good condition, TNLNSL TFTC
OK, I cheated a bit with this one... It should be inaccessible at the moment due to construction works. Out of bounds until July 2017. But it is Saturday, and it appears preparation work only has happened so far. Also no excuse, but I am not the first to sign the log today! I will message CO to ask it to be disabled while work is in progress.
Heard about this bridge a couple of times before and during our trip and wanted to see it. See it we did, not to mention driving over it as we left. Well worth the visit and enjoyed the stroll to GZ too. I should perhaps mention that GZ is currently barricaded off as there are pipe works in progress. Being a weekend there wern't any workmen around so we stepped over the barriers and made the find but any other time that might be frowned upon. Still I'm sure it's only temporary.
Thanks indeed

Stopped if for a quick multi but did not find cheched the coordinates twice but nothing at gz might need to be checked
A lovely multi completed in the company of EeePees who assisted with negotiating the foliage! The walk to this cache is great and with the sun out today a lovely way to spend the afternoon. Thanks for the cache Snuva.
Was in the area having a few hours earlier picked TB "Deadly M" aka "Wrath" of the "7 Deadly Ducks" gang, and thought the nearby river was a perfect spot for Deadly M to visit a raft of his tadornine kinfolk.
Puzzled out ages ago but didn't finish

Found it! Very enjoyable walk around Richmond to find this cache. I think we might have passed some cachers on the way here. Will pick up their TB. Tftc.
Found on a sight seeing trip to Richmond to see the oldest bridge in Australia with snowone.
Thanks for the cache!

Tftc worked out co ordinates pretty quickly but struggled at gz but just had to look from a different angle to see it.
Two Norwegian travellers on vacation/geocaching in Australia. Travelling by car from Brisbane to Adelaide with stops in interesting and not so interesting places. We have been travelling almost 5000 kilometers before we returned the car in Adelaide last week. Then we flew over to Hobart, hired a new car and will do a Tassie roundtrip the next 2 weeks. We have done the big highlights, Cradle mountain Nat. Park, the northern coast, the big cities and stopped in Swansea for the night. After Swansea we are going south again and as usual log some caches on our way. Came to Richmond in the afternoon and found some caches not so far from our hotel. An easy multi along the river.

A fun cache, going to some pretty places. The cache though, in my opinion, is a (small) small, not a regular. A regular cache is about the size of an ammunition box. TFTC Snuva.
The Stumble's got the required info and managed to get to GZ but with rapidly fading light, we decided to give this one a miss and try again in the morning. We arrived back at GZ around 7am only to find a muggle on the premises doing his job. Unfortunately we didn't have time to hang around and wait for him to leave but at least we know where to go when next in Tassie! TFTC anyway.
Great cache! Clever place to hide it too! I left a trackable in there for the nrxt person to find. I had a gorgeous day for walking too. This was my fourth and final cache of thevafternoon so it wasva successful day. TFTF! SL

While on my trip around Tasmania looking for caches, this one was found.
After a bit of a detour to find a few of the AATI series, I was now back on the right road and heading towards Hobart.
I had a bit of a stop in Richmond to have a look around and find a few a the caches in the area.
This one starts at a very well known land mark and with the info gathered and GZ worked out I headed off for a walk along the river until I reached GZ, a short search was performed and the cache was found.
**Thanks to Snuva for placing this cache.**
Found this one a couple of months ago with the lovely TinyStorm but forgot to log it until now. Hehe. Nice one Snuva. Thanks.
We were here primarily on a morning break with some biscuits and to enjoy the ducks as well as the bridge (they don't make 'em like this much anymore). After admiring the completion plaque, I wondered if this town had any more surprises, so I brought out my app and lo and behold, I wasn't counting on this being a two-step multi! Quickly solved for the coordinates, turned to our guide and kindly asked if he could drive us over to GZ. Now switched on (I think I've converted a muggle, folks), he was more than happy to drive us, and may have slipped a business card into the cache after we signed the log, and before we put it back in its hide. (He's a great bloke though, top marks for giving us wonderful info, as well as being game enough to go geocaching with us!)
Thanks for the cache! Richmond was a wonderful stop for us, and we want to return just to see the rest of it!

We are killing time before a late flight home and thought this structure worth a visit. Coordinates established we set off to GZ hoping there would be a writing implement enclosed. Alas there was not. We are obviously a little out of geo-practice. A walk back to the car and we returned to sign the log. We found it amusing that the most recent log was from a couple we had encountered on our ventures in our home town in Victoria.
I normally fail hard at multies but had a strong idea about this one. Plus morale from MarkandKelly - welcome to Tas!
Found it! Mark and the Geokids last find on our little trip to Tassie. We had lunch in the gardens by the river right beside the old structure. Had a few seagull companions that were keen on trying to share our chips. After lunch we nabbed the clue and trundled off to the final GZ for a reasonably straight forward grab...TFTC...
Ducks and ducks and other birds and native ducks and more ducks and tourists taking photos of ducks.
We made a start and discovered the final was back the other way, so we did the cache up by the church and continued on.
Upon reaching the final i took the hint to mean one thing, the navigator had other ideas and was straight onto it but too squeemish to put her hand in to grab it.

nice little walk, a little concerned about the muggles at first but final location nicely tucked away TFTC
Nice little multi which wasn't obvious at first (although it should have been!) and took us on a pleasant walk away from the crowds. I didn't have a pen with me so photo log will have to suffice. Tftc!
Out to a day of caching and tourist adventures with the team Goldj. Lovely walk alone the creek on a beautiful autumn afternoon. TFTC Thanks to team Goldj
Luckily another cache with not too much doing maths (I suck at that), so found out where to go quickly and at GZ found the cache pretty quick, too. Thanks for showing this place; it's beautiful!
Hi Snuva; thanks for the cache. This multi was recommended to me by AlbyDangles, and so with a bit of time to spare tonight, we took a drive to Richmond. A prominent feature! I was looking for a large signboard or something similar. Doh!
Info finally obtained; and input into GPS; wait, oh yeah, need to do some arithmetic with the numbers first (that'll help prevent getting lost). Got to GZ, took a bit of a search, but finally grabbed it (by feel, rather than visual). Saw the DamnDucks, the DamnNativeHens, and the DamnPolice; and also treated to a Dam Platypus sighting!
Thanks for bringing me (back) here.

Nice little multi, with GZ a short bike ride away. I had no pen so attach a pic of the log instead. TFTC.
We traveled around Tasmania for 3 weeks and took some caches. We saw so many nice places only because we searched a cache. Thanks for Geocaching to see so nice places. TB Vulcan out

Touring around Tassie exploring some of its natural beauty while grabbing some caches along the way. Enjoyed this little multi and the walk along the river. The geo-kids loved the ducks, there was even a couple of newly hatched ducklings nearby. Beautiful area, thanks Snuva.
The last one for today with The-Shredder. Stage one was easy and the final spotted easily as well. TFTC Skyryser
Stopped in Richmond for few hours which I really enjoy these history town.
Nice easy find with hint after collect the clues.
Thanks Snuva

Plan for the summer. Hike, 4wd and Geocache around Tasmania. It will be a great adventure. Cheers for all the caches along the way. Lovely walk along the river. Had to be quick with council workers on the other side today,
Found on a sunny afternoon after visiting the gaol & sweet shop. TFTC
Not really a medium more like a small. Lovely little place to walk with family and friends.
Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
Now staying in Campania, we had no plans for today. We started the morning tackling the solutions of some puzzles, until we realised we needed to go shopping!
Well that meant a trip to the big smoke. [^] of course we found a cache or 2 along the way.
This was our first stop on our way to the city. Took the time to collect the info then bimble on to GZ. All in good order.

Had fun watching the ducks, and watching the tourists watching the ducks and taking close-up photos of them; one tried this with a goose - braver than we are!
Sunshine makes all the difference for this very pretty - and historic - place.

Found it with BissraVicky on our Tas trip from Western Australia. Hint does help. We love Tassie and TFTC!
Found it with BissraFranky on our Tas trip. What a nice walk to GZ and yes lots of fat duck were along the way. Not much trouble in locating cache thanks for the hints. TFTC
We strolled along the edge of the river admiring the ducks and silver birches until finally reaching GZ where we found the cache safe and dry. Thanks Snuva.
I much prefer the view from this side of the bridge despite the ducks, who weren't terribly interested in me at all. In fact, the further away from the bridge we got, the fewer the ducks, until at GZ, there was no life except a lop-eared dog on the far side of Coal River. Found with ease thanks to the excellent clue and retrieved with a geotool. Enjoyed the walk and TFTC, Snuva. =^.^=
Damn ducks, we looked and looked and almost gave up had another look but not where we thought the hint suggested. Cache was in hand and signed. It may have been moved. We put it back where we found it. TFTC.
Couldn't find this one. It was getting dark so we might have given up sooner than we should have, maybe tomorrow!
Found with Aerial_tennille while visiting and site seeing in Richmond. TFTC Richmond is such a lovely place.
Woo hoo! Lovely part ofRichmond I would never known existed! Thank you! No tracker in container. With Larry. Laptop.
Blustery day here but well worth the stroll to find this multi. Such a beautiful area. Tftc
I spent a while looking but then read past logs and realised I was looking on the wrong side - so changed sides and had the cache in hand in no time.
Dropped off TB "Travel Bug Poppet 1" signed log then walked up the hill to view the church.

My grandad and I found this cache while on our second day of our Tasmania trip. This was the first cache we tried for the day.
We decided to take a scenic caching route on the way to Port Arthur - it included Richmond. We enjoyed the beautiful drive through the valleys and rolling hills. The wineries along the way were a bonus as well to look at.
We couldn't miss the cache at the famous Richmond Bridge! The area was very photogenic. We made the calculations for GZ relatively quickly and made the beautiful stroll towards the cache. I found it fairly quickly - nicely hidden!
Our thanks to Snuva for an excellent cache to start our day!

I first searched for this cache nearly 3 years ago on a previous visit to Tassie, but was unable to find the container in the honeycomb, with the kids who were accompanying me quickly bored after a long day. Today we decided to visit Richmond looking once again for entertainment for the kids, and one of our stops was at the playground next to the gaol. I excused myself and jogged the 250m to GZ. I was daunted at first given my previous lack of success, but the search was actually pretty quick this time. I signed the log, replaced the container then walked back to the rest of the party along the river path. Thanks for the cache.

Found this cache together with apfelsine during our holidays in Australia and our time on Tasmania.
Although we had been at the bridge quite early in the morning, there were lots of other tourists around, but luckily no one at the cache site
Thanks for hiding!

WP1 was a very popular spot this morning. Ducks, seagulls and lots of people. Collected the info, did the maths then off to GZ. Glad this area wasn't so popular
Easy find. All good with this one.
Thanks for the cache Snuva.
