Out for a day of caching with Goober24. This was a nice easy find to start off the day. Off to the next one on the track! TFTC
Out geocaching with Gwen-o-nator. Found the cache ok, but disappointed there was no toys in it considering the size! And as others have said, no log. We put in a piece of paper and a toy.
Master 6 and master 8 found this with in a minute. Awesome. Could be good if log book was supplied. Number 6 down now.
This has been well re hidden and we are unsure if it is in fact in its correct place. Lots of cutty grass to mess with here.
Found it. Was poorly hidden and the log is sodden and disintegrated. Have re hidden but needs maintenance
Well after three successful finds we could not find this cache. Despite searching, despite mud on my trousers I think my caching eyes had given up for the day. Eventually we had to leave due to time constraints but we will be back to try again.
Great hidden gem of a trail. I'll bet that some of the locals aren't even aware of it. Thanks for point it out and cheers for the cache.
Enjoyed walking through the Kauri forest. Log was slightly damp and cache has a pile of paper moosh at the bottom.
One more find on a pretty hot day - another nice walk and another nice chance to stop and rest for a bit. Cool spot - TFTC
The only one I found today... I've lived in this area for so long its awesome to see all these little tracks I never realised were here! Sat and rested and enjoyed the scenery. Despite the weather forecast it's not raining yet!!
Thanks for another awesome day
Thanks for another awesome day
I had some hours to spare before I had to head off to the airport and home so decided to spend some time caching around this part of the North Shore. A really nice walk to this cache. The boardwalks are really neat in here. Took me a bit longer to find than it should have done as the hide was not quite what I was expecting. Shame this wasn't set up as a letterbox hybrid as it is described in the listing. TFTC, Biggles.
Kauris everywhere! What a nice place and what beautiful trees! It was awesome!

I like how there is place to sit for writing the logbook, and enjoying the silence. Such a neat hiding place too. TFTC!
loved this beautiful bush walk so close to home but never knrw it was here.thankyou.
Out for a walk with the Mini Future Finder this afternoon. And what a great spot for a walk even in lite drizzle. Walked past GZ to the end of the path and took in the trees. Talk some time to come up with the cache but got there in the end. Cheers for showing us this great spot!
Seattle's Best kept turning around and saying, "Wow!" at all the Kauri trees and lovely water rushing below.... it was surely a surprise to us! We came in less than appropriate wardrobe, but the good boardwalks and hand rails made it ok. Visiting friends nearby made this very handy.
Thanks so much for placing and maintaining this. We need to enjoy our local reserves and walks more! I'll bring my CHristmas visitors back here!
Cache is quite damp inside. I'd say a water tight lid might help....

TFTC Day 15
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL TRAIL!! Found the right seat, but got confused not finding it and reading previous logs. We then returned to the initial seat we were searching and finally made the find. Took TB, left TB. TFTC Thanks for taking us here!!
Searching and searching at the wrong resting place. Once we located the correct place to 'sit and write in the log' it was an easy find. GPS touch and go, GPS device getting v wet, a lovely day for geocaching! Tftc
Lovely bush walk. Found the right seat but took a little bit longer to find the cache. Lots of mozzies about. TFTC
Out walking the dog. Got to make sure he doesn't stray off the path and onto the Kauri roots. Saw the seat and thought "I wonder..." Checked the map and boom, geocache!
Were in the Chatswood Reserve and the Kauri Centennial Park today for some doggish caches. Walked a merry and decent 10 km in total.
Cache was found pretty open. Restored the camo and left for the next cache. Pretty loud here today, by the way. The cicadas, you know?
Thanks!

Such a beautiful reserve to stroll about in, our second time here looking for various caches. Spent a while looking for this at GZ, considered the clue and the 'non bush-bashing' and eventually found it not far from GZ, tftc
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We spent a nice Friday evening, walking a couple of short trails on the North Shore and picking up a few caches along the way. After a bit of a hunt in all the wrong places we eventually found the cache and signed the log. A lovely walk along the creek to GZ, thanks for the cache!

Wanting to have this oldie on our cachelist....so off I go. ohmy oh my this were more steps then I thought. pfff Finally happy that I could take a rest for the cache. AHA that is not oke...cachedescription mention no bushbashing, but coords are way out...what now....
Aha just another couple of steps down (and up again) aha that looks better and another place to rest, this looks better. A bit of pooking around and finally pffff found it, to write the name in this old logbook. Nice to see this one still in operation. Back up all the steps, this time with a smile

Another neat cache while out caching with Tuis Return this morning. Great cameo used here thanks.
A very pretty area while caching with Butchie bum this morning. Thanks for bringing me here.
Spending a day in Auckland collecting caches with Cats&Dragons. After doing a couple of trails it was time to hit some quick walks and beautiful views. TFTC
A days Geocaching Expedition with Nova Lightning doing the cycle trail and a spot of tramping.
41st of 60 for the day.
great day for a tramp through the Kauri Point area. Fantastic camo job and a great start to the days walk TFTC

Searched here like a crazy person, but I couldn't find it!
And then I decided to look in the bushes again, as I was about to leave. But it was quite funny, as then some people were coming past... so I hid, and ducked in the bushes... I must have looked so creepy!!
And everything would have been fine... had the people not had a dog... who sniffed me out. I'm hiding there and they go:
Muggle 1: "Ae, what you found there! Leave it!"
Muggle 2: "There must be someone hiding in the bushes"
* Muggles look straight at me *
Me: "Oh, hi there" * smile
Muggles: "hey."
* And they both gave me the weirdest look in the world...
Well, home time it was then, before they come back!

#602, spent about an hour here, before realising that we had the wrong one LOL, Phone GPS was all over the show. so tried the trusty garmin, strugged to find satellites...are you indoors? LOL. took us somewhere else and cache was quickly in hand. watch out these steps are even slicker...just like one big banana skin. Dropped Geo Gem. TFTC
I had no idea there were that big kauris so close from home!! We were about to give up and head towards the end of the track when Master Friwi spotted the cache. Really nice hide away . Signed the logbook sitting on the bench then went to the kauri grove. Very nice placement, thanks for taking us here. TFTC
A very nice surprise indeed. I was already on my way back to the ferry but decided to do this little detour as the cache description sounded very promising. Really loved that spot. Had some troubles at first finding the cache. But looking from the right angle, I caught it in the corner of my eyes. Nice big container.
Signed the log with my hippo stamp.
Thanks for the cache!

The fifth of twenty five on a lovely day's walking aroound Chelseaand adjacent parts of Auckland. Found some lovely bushland and a little history too. TFTC
My 62s just couldn't get enough signal to narrow down GZ. Spent a fair while looking in two areas without success, then decided to concentrate on where I believed GZ to be. The perseverance paid off. Nice camo. Just love these bush reserves. TFTC.
Found it on the second attempt. Don't know how I missed it the first time, too much concentration on the cutty grass I think.
Another nice reserve that I surely would not have visited had it not been for geocaching. I didn't have any issue with GPS accuracy and I was able to locate the treasure fairly quickly.
no problems with lock approaching - though it stood out like a sore thumb when we found it but then realised even though the camo is getting a bit worn on the lid others are just walking and looking at the trees! thanks
We continued our walk to this one and after a bit of searching we were able to find it. Not sure why I was looking in the wrong place but as per the hint, not far from the sitting place there. Nice hide

Good Christmas day cache!! We were right next to it but couldn't find it for some time. Candy inside has made a sticky mess.
Found it after a bit of unnecessary searching through the cutty grass. Was as per the clue and quite close to the seat. Lots of swapables in the cache. AirNZ pen in, gemstone out. TFTC.
Our first cache find with our 6yr old. Very exciting. Swapped out two trinkets. Added laser torch and gemstones.
We found this one very easy and all intact - quite a few geocachers and letterboxers have visited this one. Great hiding place and a very nice walk in the Kauri grove. Polybag containing booklet is torn and could let damp. Unfortunately we didn't have any spares with us.

The clue brought us to the bench and the logs to a nearby Kauri, but we could not find it. It has been nearly 4 months since the last find, so we wonder if it is still there? Put us down for a DNF on this one.

Really lovely place to sit and relax for a bit. Found two possible places where you could "sit". Had to search both places. Finally found it at the end. Took 40 minutes in total! Took the trackable. Taking it to Little Shoal Bay this afternoon.
Contained a lot of things in this cache: Owl (from Winne the Pooh) stamp, a magnet, a Carebear ring, a doodle on a piece of paper, a green sharpener, an oriental doll necklace, a lanyard, a blue airplane, a Priest trading card, an orange figurine, a small tube of a Chinese branded toothpaste and a windchill calculator.

I went to the coordinates and tried looking everywhere! in the trees, under the bridges, under the chair! Nothing! The closest thing I found was an old empty white bucket under one of the bridges
...Seems Geocaching is a lot harder than I thought.

All hail to the mighty Kauri.... nice to see so many large Kauri so close to home... no need to go to the Waitak's... TNSL left toys as was looking very empty... TFTC... FYI cache #80 for us only 20 to go
#1289. Surprise - we scrubbed and sprayed our shoes as instructed. What service indeed. TNLNSL. TFTC.
"An easy one with a with a 5 minute walk in" ????
I guess I took the scenic route, anyway I enjoyed the walk to the GZ, a quick search and here was the cache - well hidden. Took TB "White Jeep Travel Bug "Elfrida"
From here I carried on to the next cache

Walked to the end of the track after finding this one - yes, a surprise indeed. Nice spot. Would probably rate the terrain as 2.5 or 3 given the steps and their steepness. Anyway, swapped jeeps, TFTC!!!
Lovely walkway and sweet, very tame fantail - if only he could, he would have laughed. We took ages and might have logged a DNF but our 2 GPSr's for once didn't agree. Yup can be reached from the track. NINO TFTC
Quiet street, thick bush walk, pretty birdlife. 5 people looking, bit stumped but got there finally sticking to GPS for direction.
Finally found it on my 2nd attempt. Nice hiding place in a beautiful location. There was no Pen / Penicil there so I left a Pen behind.
Enjoyable walk through this surprisingly magnificent bush - easy to forget you are so close to suburbia. We can remember when bare sections were being sold in the new 'Chatswood' subdivision. Looks quite mature now. Thanks.

Nice walk in, quick find. Wad nice to be able to get out on a quick trip to Auckland
Quick and easy find once the GPS settled down. It wouldnt locate during the walk, but settled at GZ. Thanks.
picked this one up months ago with friends leading us - it was our first geocache - just realised when we went to go again and thought hey we've already been there...so thought we had best log it. TFTC
Lovely walk to GZ. Some really old trees in here. Thanks for bringing us here.

What a lovely walkway, even the drizzle didn't dampen our spirits as we enjoyed this walk.

Another awsome reserve in the middle of suburbia with amazing photo opportunities and places to rest after THOSE steps . The dog gave us that look again and and was carried for the rest of the way, bit embarrasing carrying a schnauzer but still she is 98 in human years so guess that's ok. We plan to bring our next overseas visitors to this spot. Thanks for bringing us here T4TC.
It really *was* a pleasant surprise! Great bush with some fantastic kauris.

What a wonderful area of bush to discover with a stream that has gouged out a deep course over many decades, supplejack everywhere over the forest floor and tall kauris reaching up to the canopy above. TFTC
Lovely piece of bush, your right who needs to go miles with this on doorstep. Found fairly quickly with Joan (od Darby & Joan), and on first visit - unlike some other Navigull caches. Great stamp design, my first letterbox. SL and Stamped. - Duck TB + calling card TFTC
Helefant and I thought on this very hot afternoon that we would try one that looked sedate!! on the map. However that was not to be, huffed and puffed our way through the bush (we
are in the process of getting fitter again). Eagle eyed Helefant spyed this one. Very nice Letter Box stamp too, had some water with us to liven it up and got a good impression. Travel Bug perfect for a Cache I'm preparing so look out for its next location. T: Travel Bug Stingray and Dolphin Brooch. L: Travel Card Game Key Ring. SL. TFTC.
