As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
4 DNF's in a row probably isn't a good sign. Will go and have a look when I get a chance.
A good amount of searching and some detailed instructions from a previous finder. I believe that this one has either shifted or may be MIA.
On a day that was pouring with rain, we braved the elements but just couldn't come up with the goods...
We made the mistake of only taking the Nuvi sdown instead of the CSX as well. The Nuvi isnt as good at fine detailed hunts as the CSX, and I didnt really feel like heading back down again, as time was well and truely running out for us. We had a bit of a hunt on the clues, but came up emptyhanded.
Nice place though.

Tried this one yesterday evening, but we had no luck with it. Muggles kept coming and feeding the possums so we couldn't search as we liked to. After one hour searching in the dark we gave up....
But nice area anyway

We were here but The Sinkhole was our 499th and we wanted the Blue Lake as our 500th so left it and then didn't make it back to find the cache. However since I can't visit the Golden Elf's coin to an Earth Cache, what a shame, I am visiting it here. He loves his coin and he loved the Sink hole and the farm so ...we will visit the coin and find the cache next trip!
(Hope that is allowed.)

This cache was well-hidden but Piglet55 came up with the find. Cache is very wet and needs maintenance. TNLN. TFTC.
Winnie-the-Pooh and I looked for this one for quite some time while enjoying the surroundings. Our GPSs were all over the place as were the muggles. Just as we were about to give up and try again on our way back through, I decided to recheck one last potential hiding spot and, voila, there it was. TNLN-SL-T4T$
Muggles kept arriving and sitting on the seat right opposite the GZ so I had to abandon the search for this cache. Not to worry as I have the details for the Earthcache so the visit wasn't a total waste.
Cache contents damp and mouldy. Difficult to date the log as pen was going through the paper. Needs some TLC!
It took us around 10 minutes to locate this one at 1045. The geo-wife spotted it even though it was hidden very well. The cache does need attention, contents damp and mouldy.

Found this with Yellatori. Great location for muggle tourists. This cache was very damp. Took a little to find had fun plus a beer. Thanks.
Found finaly with manyarat. log book very wet but pen still worked on it. Cheers
Had a fair go at this one but like previous cachers were reluctant to go the hack too much. We were lucky to have the place to ourselves but still coldn't find it. Maybe another time TFTH
Had a couple of tries at this one.
Did walk around the top in an attempt to get a triangulation before going down the hole a second time, but still came up empty handed.
Most of the bushes had been heavily pruned recently, maybe this made it visible to muggles?
Anyway the kids enjoyed playing on the machinery up the top.

I agree with Mogni's comments, as sweet as the possums were they sure were forceful. One tried to pinch the torch out of my hand! After some guidance on the general area to search we returned nice and early today and the cache was found surprisingly quickly.
We loves the location, it was beautiful.

2Dudez and Team Rubik's Week Long "2008 : A Cache Odyssey" trip to South Australia.
Took two 6AM visits for this one. After our first failed attempt with very sketchy GPS accuracy, we knew we had to try again.
After seeing the previous DNFs, we narrowed our search area by talking to a previous finder.
The cache is definitely there... albeit a little damp inside.
Thanks to Scojohara for an awesome location and a challenging cache

Had a long look for this, but no luck today; not that I minded as having visited before, precaching, I was planning on returning anyway. Didn't want to become destructive, so didn't search as thoroughly as I could have.
Hard to find the best time to search here. Evenings brought out the possum feeders and bat viewers, and during the day no chance. However we did spend some times here with no success depite assurances that the cache was still here. Oh well, too good enouth for our meagre talents. Nice cave though, we know it well.
Its a lovely spot and well worth a cache. Too many muggles for a thorough search, which was a pity as with a clue which helps so little, and such poor reception, only luck, help, or a major search will find this one! thanks anyway.
Quick look on the way out of town. Didn't have enough time to devote to really look. Pity. Really nice spot and will put it on my must return to list.

Tried here earlier today, no luck, tonight it was just us and the possums. It would have been an amazing place with the small lake as well.

After an earlier disappointment and the sinking feeling of a DNF, I had to try this cache again before I left town
At sunrise without the accompanying gardeners and tourists I could have a much more thorough search. Found in only 10 minutes this time
TFTC in a unique location.

Found at 10:30 by the girls of CCC 2007 Event Trailblazers team. A beautiful area, all so green! TNLNSL TFTC Cheers 'scargoes.
This was a popular first stop as teams headed out on the hiding day of the CCC event. We joined a number of other teams searching for the cache and the group effort made the find quicker than what it might otherwise have been.
It was a enjoyable way to start our caching weekend.
TNLNSL. Thanks for showing us one of the many nice spots around the Mount.

1st of the 'hiding day' of the CCC Event. Agreat spot, had to find it ourselves as the crowd had stampeded back up the stairs! Great spot, nice hide, gps all over the place!
Awesome, I loved the area and the scenery. Nice palce for a picnic. Relatively easy find as their were other cachers in the vicinity

After the starter’s gun had gone for the CCC Event, this was our first stop to clear up a previously unfound cache. Muggles never had a chance here today, as the whole sinkhole was wall-to-wall geocachers . This made it only too easy. Auzee did the honours on the cache location, and we left after noting the log, and passing the cache to the several teams waiting nearby . Thanks for bringing us to this beautiful spot Scojohara.
Spent a few minutes with Cached and a few other teams working our way down the likely GZ and reached the bottom to find Team Hurtle with the cache signing the log. Easy find indeed when somebody else has already found it for us!

Found 23:30. 14th of 21 FFTD. Out with chizbeki for a caching frenzy evening on our first night in town. All the lights were off and only the possums around at this time of night. Searched every bush and inch of wall, until read previous logs, then the ligths went on! Cache very waterlogged, dried out the best we could, may need some maintenance to make more water tight. TNLNSL. TFTC.
12th of 18 for our trip down to the SE for the CCC event, place was deserted( as you'd expect at 11:30 at night ) only problem is that the light are out at that time, with our head torches on we searched. Ermalesh came up with the goods, used the clue from an earlier log to find the right spot. Contents were wet, drained the cache. TNLN TFTC
We had been here before seaching for this elusive cache (about an hour that time) Today we came here to show dad the fine area and perhaps find a cache. We had the area to ourselves for about 15 minutes during which time we all searched around using the hint this time. Fom then on it was on and off searching as people came and went. The GPSr was changing it's mind where it wanted to send us so we tried Dak's emu mob for a hint, this limited our search area but not enough as it turned out. We then tried the Coffee clan and their hint was far more helpful for us and the cache was ours soon after

First cache for the day in Biggo's Bike Odyssey! Arrived with the deadly treadley, only to find muggle heaven. waited patiently and was rewarded with a break and was quick enough to grab the cache! The log book is very damp, and beginning to smudge, needs attention ASAP. TNLN SL. Glad to have this one finally found! Cheers Udderchaos for the heads up!! Biggo

It took me 3 goes over 2 days to nail this one. I admit that I would never have found this without Setsujoku and Beaker essentially telling me where it was. GPS is essentially useless in the sinkhole and even repeated attempts at triangulation didn’t help me. The clue doesn’t help either as it’s actually behind an elephant ear, not a hydrangea, but before you get too excited there are at least as many elephant ears as there are hydrangeas; hundreds ? Probably the best way to find this one without help would be to use a high res map of the sinkhole and Ozi Explorer, or maybe try with Google Earth, so you are at least searching in the right area.

This was one DNF that I came away from NOT disappointed [^]. This one is ALL about the location (Which we would have driven past without noticing in all likelyhood).
Although we had the place pretty much to ourselves for about 5 minutes, we couldn't locate it. Even though the hint was a good one, the wandering sat lock and position error meant it could have been in three seperate location. As our search was starting to leave tell-tale signs, I opted to abandon it and just revel in the surrounds [^].
Spent a delightful 30 min or so wandering around and photographing this beautiful bit of enhanced nature. Great stuff scojohara. As far as I'm concerned, we DID find a cache . Cheers and thanks for bringing us here.

HMMMPH. No find either. As with others, between dodging muggles and dodgy sat locks, we left defeated for now. But like Arnie... "We'll be buk".
I was alerted to the presence of Geocoins by coinaholic acts2youthgroup. So, I dropped in at 2300. Even at this time of night there were people about! Doesn't anybody sleep in this town?

Seventeenth of twenty-four caches on my first day in Mt Gambier (urban day one) in company with Beaker's Bunch. This was my second visit to this one. I had visited earlier in the day, but persistent rain, and even more persistent muggles prevented me from having a decent look. I thought there would be fewer muggles after dark. I was wrong! In fact, there were many more muggles at this time of night than there were during the day. (What's wrong with these people?) Anyhow, darkness covers a lot of misdeeds, and I was able to extract the cache at 2105 unobserved. I was glad I had BB with me, because I would never have found it otherwise. I had been searching much farther up the hill earlier. GPS signals are hard to come by in there, and at GZ, my GPSr said the cache was 14m away! I made no exchange. Thanks to scojohara for the cache. Cheers, dak.
Stayed the night on our way back to Perth. Visited at night as the geokids wanted to feed the possums. Both geomum and dad took turns searching but could not come up with the goods.
3:20 pm We tried this one, but now see the reason for the difficulty. If we looked too close for this cache it would have been muggled by all the tourists at this location! Maybe another day.
Pulled out of this one before attempting, as it looked like somebody had already been there and broken a number of branches. Been to this spot before with CoolAid but gave Kid a good first look at this area.
We had a quick look for this one today but there were two many muggles and too short a time, we are looking forward to coming back to this great area to try again
Arrived at GZ at 4.50pm, muggles still plentiful so we use all our sleuthing ability, and move around the muggles as one, using Gps to get as much direction as it would allow bt still had to use it as a fone when muggle become interested in what we are doing. Kick back on bench seat for 10 to give them time to leave but more to replace them.
Now we discuss what a hydrangea looks like as we wait and answer question from terroists about possums still dont no what the plant looks like so we retreat for home base for some more info.
Return at 7.45pm with torches and an idea what the plant looks like also foned a friend A&L to see if we looking at the rite GZ. This was helpful because we were 8metre away we redirected our energy and come up with the goods.

Called the owner after my intelligence said that the cache was missing. Foolish really, just a case of mistaken floral identity. Three sats said 7m off with 7m accuracy. Not bad really.
Just doing maintenance after cache got muggled. Thanks to udderchaos for doing the initial clean-up.
well this was a difficulty 1/terrain 4 today.
Fell on but and slid down hill whilst placing TB in this cache.
This cache appears to have been muggled or very poorly put back as it was sitting out in the open with the lid off. All swaps are gone. The logbook remains inside but damp and i found the TB that was in it nearby.

Had a good look in the dark, but came up empty handed. Had the same GZ for 1/2 an hour, found an ideal hiding spot right at GZ which matched the hint, but no luck. Didn't have a chance to come back during the day. Lots of fat possums here at night.
Got on the bikes and headed cross country with the gang and had a great time finding this one. I will admit I reviewed all logged entries for this cache and wrote down all the clues to take with us We would never have found this one without them so a big thankyou to everybody that has found this cache previously. Well this one was a group effort with player 1 and the geogirls, as we made this our destination for a ride on our pushbikes. Having the numbers, and not to many muuggles had us finding the cache within 10 minutes. Geokid (with player 1's valuable assistance) spotted a possum on the way out!

The only way you can find this is to get nephew, Setsujoku, to take a photo and ask you to move a bit to the left or right. Otherwise it could be next to impossible to locate. No possums at this time of day today. Just tourists admiring the place.
Had good fun watching posspet search for this one. We had to contend with a muggle, who persisted to look around the place. So i whipped out the camerea, and told posspet where to stand.
5 mins later, after the muggles husband had been and had a chat, taken a few photo's, and finally cleared off, i sat back had watched. After a couple of quick hints, he finally made the find.
Got back to the car, and then realised id forgetten to leave a TB in there.

I checked this cache out last weekend to see if it is still there and all is good. Posibly another clue may help those who are having trouble.
At the bottom of the steps through the garden, turn left along the rock wall
At the bottom of the steps through the garden, turn left along the rock wall
After gently moving some of the rocks in the GZ we found no cache. If this cache is indeed MIA, consider moving it to a less fragile area. These gardens are lovely and we would hate to see geocaching being responsible for damaging the area.
This was a nemesis cache for me. 2 no finds before – with very thorough non rushed searches. It was time to get Scotty and Beaker to the rescue (teed up at the G of all places). A night raid was the solution – dodging the possums in the thousands it seemed. Scotty had a bit of trouble locating his own cache, but got it in the end . Thanx for taking the time to both Scotty and Beaker for helping Astro. So what did I swap? – in the rush I forget. We did get a good pic though!
Clear skies, Astro.
(PS, the cache can be retrieved without damaging anything. You do not have to move rocks/plants and if you look at the right angle, it is possible to see the cache. IE, look don't touch 'till you see the box)
It seems a lot of people are having trouble finding this cache. I will go down there tomorrow and check if hasn't been muggled and if not, will add further clues

next time we are down sound like we will have to enlist the help of some expert advise.

What better place to bring up the 250. I gave andrew (from andrew and leesa) a call, looking for a hint on this one, and he said that he would meet me down there in 10 mins.
With food in hand, we had a nice wander down, whilst feeding the possums, before retreiving the cache from somewhere so outlandish, that it would have taken me weeks to find without his hint.
Nice scenery, and the only thing that made it a pity was not having any GPS reception, but still finding the cache.

Visited and spent some time searching around, but given that there wasnt any sat. reception, it made this one really difficult.
Failed on this one. Combination of gardeners at work making a good look a bit difficult, and the Hydrangeas have had a severe haircut so I suspect the hiding place is no more. Perhaps you could enlighten me here, although I won't get a chance for a second go in the forseeable future.

Tried to do this one in the dark on Monday night. Very optimistic one would have to think after reading previous logs. As it turned out we didn't even get a chance to look. Disaster stuck as Bruce took his first step off the concrete path. It was like he was on ice, flat on his back in the mud with his GPS buried in the mud. My first comment in horror, look at the GPS, Darren was with us at least he asked "are you alright". Quick clean up of both and we headed off to tea with the Mt Gambier geocachers. So next morning alarm set early headed back to the location. Looked and looked to no avail in the end Darren gave a little help (I think he felt he had to as he had to head off to work). Great location, thanks scojohara, really cant say easy find. Our GPS indicated the cache was at about S37.50.330 E140.48.515.
Tried to find this eluive little cache on the way to the SA Fourth Festive Frolic Weekend that's being held on the Queens Birthday long weekend.

2 (long&separate) searches and no Cigar. Must have looked “almost†everywhere. Tricky lock but 2 separate visits looked to be giving me the same bit of limestone and the same altitude. A nice spot here in the Mount. I suggest the Astro rating is a bit low for this one – 1 Astro for Terrain means wheelchair access ….mmmm. Now just where is this thing???
Clear skies, Astro.
I can't believe it - we actually found an urban cache in under 10 minutes . We had a lucky break and just happened to look in the right place . It would normally take us two or three repeat visits to find such a good hide.
Actually, this was my second visit. The first one had too many muggles about, and as I had nieces and nephews with me who wanted to feed the possums, I had to let it go. But this time the muggles were higher up, leaving us to search at out leisure.
It wasn't really near the green wall, so I wonder if this is it's second hiding spot. Either way, bloody good hide scojohara. Thanks. Swapped an alien (TB) for a native (koala)

Day 2 on our ‘Green Triangle’ caching adventure with Dad (who goes by the name 'Late for Dinner'). Up early we stopped on the outskirts of town to break open a packet of cornflakes, ice coffees and pastries.
With breakfast out of the way we headed into the nearby sinkhole to attempt the first cache of the day. A little spooked by Possum guarding his/her spot on the way down.
A long fruitless searched amongst the debris made even more disappointing with the arrival of muggles at 8.00am! Maybe next time.

What can I say but “Yuckâ€Â.
Did this one late at night as we wanted to see the possums. Such a beautiful area, such a messy cache hide if you don’t get it first up. The find was quitters luck as I was covered in dirt, mud and breathed in dust and was about to give up. Stood back said OK this is the last look where would you put it if you wanted to be able to find it again. That worked and I then had the cache in hand. TNLN.
Great location and interesting challenge finding GZ.

Found with the Nomads. It took us ages and was eventually found more by good luck than anything else. TNLN. Thanks

Greg and Bev
Found by Greg, and full points must go to him, with Bev, Ray and Maya around 5:00PM on the 17th of Jan. We were on the verge of giving up, but Greg went back for one more try. Took the spirit level and left a Gecko. Thanks from The Nomads.
