Very disappointed we did not find it? Certain we were in the right spot, used the clue and all. We noted it has been a long time since the last positive sighting and wondered if it was still there? A nice walk nonetheless.
A beautiful walk in but we were disapointed not to find the cache, thought we were in the right spot but didn't want to destroy the vegetation by too much poking and prodding. A lovely spot that will be a joy to return to another day. Thanks for bringing us here.
Thanks for a great spot. Tunnel was boggy and the cache was found a lot easy than it seemed at first.
Cheers!
Cheers!
First Dial area find for the day, and it is a perfect day for caching.
Another great Energizer cache that has been on my unfound list for many years, has now been found. Cache very easy to spot so I dug out the hidey hide a little and then a little more and hid the cache a little better.
TNLN, thanks Energizer for another outstanding area I hadn't been to before.

Completely uncovered so has quite a few muggle logs. Found by the astrotasmanians on their picnic -
http://astrotas.wordpress.com although they were a little scared of it the first time and didn't sign the logbook so we remedied that on the return. Cache in excellent condition. Dropping a few travel bugs through.

found by just a accident ,,have now joined a fantastic cache thanks heaps ,, will be looking for more great job to all !!
Why I did not search for this one as I passed the first time I do not know. From here walking to Mt Dial, The Gnomon and back via the road it was quite a trek. Then a quick race back up the track to log a find. No problems with the GPSr and the clue made it an easy find. TNLN. TFTC!
Absolutely beautiful location.

Nice short walk to finish the day off. There are so many mines and tunnels in Tassie. This track had also suffered from the September winds uprooting trees.
Co-ords seemed quite a bit out but we found it easily on the way back as it is pretty obvious to a cacher as you walk past it.

Came across a large tree that had recently fallen over the track about 200m from car. Finally found the cache after looking in the wrong place for 10 minutes.
Geo teen set off with tattsus into the bush for a quick find. Lovely quiet spot for a barbie but check yourself for leeches after leaving the bush as geo teen found out.
Very enjoyable walk along the creek.
I'm not a real lover of small places so I was happy to let the boys explore the tunnels while I sat in the sun with Blind Betty and chatted away.

This is a lovely little walk, I wish this place was my backyard! Found with Redtag while Nerebil was off showing our new recruit the tunnels. TNLN - thanks for the cache!
Visited this place many years ago. Nice to come back. Some incredible manferns along the track. A quick easy find thanks to the clues. TNLN
Walked to gz, had a look about without sucess. Went to have a look at the hint but could not read it as my glasses were still in the vehicle. Back to collect the glasses and armed with the hint was still unable to find the cache. After reading previous logs I burrowed under a red mud pile that had fallen down from a fallen stump after recent heavy rains and all was revealed. Signed the log and returned it to its resting place minus the mud. TNLN Thanks
This time around I found the cache with no difficulty. It was a lovely walk. Dryer than in July. The mine shaft was interesting and a little scary. Thanks energizer61.
Tricky hide,.almost didn't find it. Was pure luck that I happened to be standing in front of the big log in question, gazing at it after 30mins of searching wondering where the hell I hadn't looked yet, when I caught a glimpse of something that turned out to be a cache. Whoohoo!!
Lovely walk through the manferns. Visited these tunnels a couple of times before, many years ago. Noticed that Thorsby's has a few extra bars at the end to stop people trying to squeeze through. (Not that we ever did that... *cough*)

Ah, I am so pleased to have that monkey off my back. Found it today easily, after several failed attempts over nearly two years. It is of some comfort that I've been in good company with other DNFers over that time. So thanks for the cache energizers. It's a very nice area, and was warm and dry today.
A beautiful walk on a beautiful day. It was only mother and sons for this one; a nice little adventure together.
Are my eyes painted on? Why did I find this cache within seconds of starting to look for it this time but last time the cache proved to be so elusive.
The poem is right, it is within arms length of the path and it is in the big log. Do not leave the path and do not traumatise any little logs, all of this information is in the poem....
Anyway today it was found in the company of 15 Joey Scouts while on a bush walk to Thornsby Tunnel. We had a glorious winters day to explore the bush and the kids loved the mines and playing in the creek. The mine shaft further up the track is well a visit and is testimony to the accuracy of the surveyors involved. How they dug the horizontal shaft to meet that vertical shaft amazes me. Digging with picks and shovels must have been hard work...
Anyway the cache site is well worth a visit.
We took nothing, left two scout woggles (the things that go on the scout scarves) and everyone signed the log book.
The next visitor may want to replace the bag as it is a bit holey.
Thanks Energizer!

A bit sad that we didn't find it but really nice walk in. Mines were really interesting.
This was the last adventure cache that we were going to do with Brizzyb3lla on her trip to Tasmania. The Ferndale Bush Walk and Thorsby's Tunnel gets the big thumbs up for pure lush beauty and clear creeks running through idyllic bush valleys. We explored the mine shafts with a hope of finding some silver but alas no luck as we didn't bring a torch.
We had no luck finding the cache either despite the kids becoming extremely grubby in the process.
Thanks Energizer61 for getting us out here.

Delightful little walk in.
Didnt explore the tunnel as it was ankle deep with water.
Spent quite a lot of time at GZ searching and eventually found the cache where it should have been.
Many thanks.

YAY!~!! third time lucky!!!!finally found this one! went there today with my kidsand followed the clue this time...and guess what? It was right where it should have been! Still a sneaky hide though, but it means I shall sleep easier at night....Thanks for leading me there three times, it was a bit damp...took something, left something...TFTC!
I am sure we looked in the spot, but once again, it was elusive...We will be back. I was inroducing bezerky to the finer art of geacache, but failed to make any impressions on this leg....Ah well another day....
Great spot, never been here before. lovely walk in. Had to use clue, still took a while to find until I re-read the
description. Cache in good order.thanks energizer61

well we went for a look, but had no clues nor GPS signal. Nice spot, hopefully get back tomorrow. We reckon we know where it is now...20/20 hindsight!
The wet weather kept me off the tops so this cache was ideal. A muddy walk to gz. Beautiful forest and the clue made this a quick find. Thanks energiser61
Well wouldn't you know it, we looked again today, and still couldn't find it!!! (A leech found me though, but only on the outside of my shoe thank goodness).
Gps hated this area, walked past it at first then decided to give up. on the way back found a spot that matched clues and in the end found it quite easily.
This was really weird. Got to GZ, no luck, took the hint which was pretty specific and found an absolutely beautiful spot that fitted the hint and coordinates and all, but we found not a sausage. So not sure if it's just our bad eyes or if it's not there? Wouldn't like to say that, but we couldn't see it at all and everything seemed to point that it should have been where we were looking! Nevertheless, it was a beautiful walk, the tunnels were intriguing and we were very glad that you put a cache there to take us there anyway. Thanks energizers. Definitely a great place for a family outing, as well as everything else the toilets are excellent too!!!!
Was in the area chasing caches, we never knew that this area existed. Plesant walk with the junior cachers. Fee got the find.

Nice deserted place to put it. The GPS wasn't very much use so we had to
read the clue. The tunnel is quite nice if you go inside
so if you're thinking of going down take a torch of some sort [^].

Great walk into this cache. You can keep going and walk along this track to Dial One for Gnomon. After you find the cache keep walking a bit further until you get to the second tunnel. Bring a torch and go in for a look. Very safe as the end is now blocked off, just watch your head as the tunnel diggers must have been very short!
Left Monsters Inc critter and took a bouncy ball.

Decided to have a cruisey day out so had a bit of a BBQ when we arrived at the carpark.
Just as we were finishing lunch, Digit Dick and the Geokids rocked up. Teamed up and set about the walk to the cache.
Cache was easy to find. Took Skipping Rope, Left pink ball.
Will be back on a much sunnier day to continue on with the walk.
Thanks Energizer

Teamed up with Hingrock for this one, after accidentally meeting him in the car park having lunch. Great cache with a nice walk along the track to GZ past some a lovely manferns. A very interesting area with lots of old tracks and the tunnel, which I wish I knew what it once was??
Found on a chilly morning..Easy to find..Tunnel was a bit dark to go into maybe next time with a torch!!Took dinosaur & left pk o ring bangles.
A lovely walk in a beautiful area. Jantas insisted that this one should be on our must do list, and so we headed off to do it.
Thanks E - a great cache.

A great spot and one that I like to visit often (great training ground for wilderness photography!). As usual I had the place to myself as well!
I kinda got misled by the GPS and endered up being more adventurous than I needed to be! By found it in the end... great stashing place!
Took nothing left a sicker.

After making an attempt yesterday and after realising that we were trying to get to it 'the back way', we made another attempt today (the right way) and we're so glad we did.
Words cannot describe the walk into this area! At times, it felt like we were the only two people in existence, within the universe! Looking upwards, trying to find the tops of the trees, made us quite dizzy at times! Wow!
Another amazing area that we would never have known existed, if not for geocaching! After finding the cache, we took the playing cards and left a mini stapler.
Thanks Team Energiser for leading us to here!

Ouch, after a lovely stroll and a look at Brownings attempt at a silver mine, followed the gps (which supprisingly had a good signal today) and found the cache partly exposed.
Left Pink sexy hippo, TN. Replaced and covered with namesake. The cache guards were on duty, hence the initial comment, it still smarts.

Glad we went today as the light rain cooled it down, We almost went yesterday when it was really hot. It would have been really steamy then. A very pleasant and picturesque walk. Many years since I was up here. Well hidden cache took us about ten minutes to find what was staring at us really. Last finder covered it well. Bit like ALICE IN WONDERLAND!
Took carbineer? left toy car and crayons.
Very nice cache allround.

We couldn’t even get started on this one. Heading to Pengiun from Flippin’ Heck we got close to this one but couldn’t find any picnic area or a walking track. We tried a number of very small roads that turned out to be driveways. So this will stay until we return with a large scale map, our Tasmania map was not up to it.
Another find for Team Tiges!
I had no idea this area existed! It's an area that's particularly interesting to Team Tiges, we might have another cache planned in this vicinity sometime down the track.
Unfortunately, due to the good Capt. Tiges not being allowed in this area, the Team Tiges cachemonkey had to go it alone. I enjoyed the walk thoroughly, this is another damn good cache from energizer!
Took - Yoyo.
Left - Shuttlecock (sporty swaps, yay).

Number 10 in the CraigRat-Horus mega north-west cache day. CraigRat had logged this one earlier in the week whilst working in the area, but was kind enough to drop me off so I could have a look whilst we were in the area - and I'm extremely grateful he did. What a wonderfull walk. This is my first energizer cache and apart from the warm humid day it was an enjoyable cache.
Along with my forgetting my swaps this morning, I also forgot my notes, so I had no idea what I was looking for or if there was a hint or anything. Craig reminded me about a poem on the cache page, I had a vague idea about a poem, something about lusting over ferns, didn't make a lot of sense really.
Found the cache without the GPS, I had no signal what so ever near the cache. Well hidden energizer, looking forward to searching for your other caches if they are anywhere near as interesting as this one.
TNLNEtEaL - Took Nothing, Left Nothing, Enjoyed the Experience a Lot!

Headed off to this cache after a hard days work in Burnie.
Walked in and got some great photos of the brook, the ferns and the tunnel... interesting spot!!
A good little walk, and a sensible spot to hide the cache considering the fragility of the surrounding area!
Took the TB, left a YoYo I nabbed in A brissie cache, and some Tassie playing cards.
Thanks Energizer, another good 'un!
