Logs
On a return trip from down the coast and seeing this one was still in play we drove down to the paring area and enjoyed the short walk to falls.

After having my GPSr's stolen, which was paperless, I dragged out the folders with the printouts for the Mountains. Didn't realise until now that it’s been archived. But seeing as its still there I’ll claim the smiley. It’s a really nice walk to a nice little waterfall.
Thanks for showing me this spot.

After a bracing walk to Lindas Flowers, this was the next port of call, i took the pretty Turpentine Track to the camping ground and after a brief look around headed down to GZ. The falls were a steady trickle and the area at the bottom a little cool, after a quick check of the clues i pretty much went straight to it. The Lid wasnt on properly and a couple of mm's of water lined the container so i dried it out (again). Not sure where the water comes from but i guess it must drip from the roof? anyway nothing was damaged so it all went back in, and checked that the lid had sealed properly.
Took Dodge Viper TB. 8VTAZO
No swaps, signed log.
A pretty spot, many thanks, The Old Sod.

The cache is in a beautiful location! Worth coming here. TFTC. Dropped a travel bug to entice more people to come.

Thanks for drying the cache Ropes. I'm also surprised at it taking on water. I would have thought only a major flood would have inundated it.
Hadn't been found for over 12 months! The cache had an inch of water in it, which is surprising given its hiding place. Took it back to the car and retrieved/dried what I could. Harry Potter did not survive...all cardboard was out and items extracted from wet packaging. Log was damp but OK.
A young German couple had attempted to drive up the hill from the glen, only to run/slide back down, a tree stopping them...ouch!. My reward for their recovery was a six-pack, towing them all the way up until it was flat again...
Rain and 2WDs will have problems getting up the road.

WOW!! what a great place. Stopped off to find a cache on the way here. Some good hills down to get here and of course to climb out on my MTB but worth the effort. Nice lunch stop in amoungst the big blue gums in the camping area. Cache clues came to bear and found it after scambling around the rocks above the glen. Not much water at the time so it's more of a waterdrip than a waterfall.
Took nothing and left nothing.
Thanks for the extra adventure. Merry Xmas

Did quite a bit of caching today and this was the best by far. The drive in was very interesting because it has been raining for the last couple of days and the road was slippery. I wouldn't recommend driving the last downhill bit in a normal car after any type of rain.
The cache itself is tricky to find, it took about 15 minutes of clambering around in the rain, the torch definately came in handy!!
I didn't read the clue until I got to the bottom and pretty much just finished thinking exactly what it said ..
TNLNSL, but that's for an awesome cache.

After an easy drive down the fire trail in our regular ground clearance vehicle, we went for a short walk and found Murphy’s Glen.
This is a lovely area and the family had a great time exploring at the base of a small waterfall under the overhang.
The GPSr reception was quite poor in places, but it all came together in the end. The cache was found after 10 minutes of serious searching.
Took “Green Bag†zip up shopping bag.
Left a toy car & Lens Cleaner.
Thanks for showing us this beautiful location Riblit.

Decided today we finally had to go for a ride on the push bikes and see if we could find this one. got down to the area and looked around and quickly decided where we thought it would be, left the torch in the ute at the very top of the track , about 20 minutes later we found it, wished we took the towel for a shower afterwards ..lol...we needed it! frequented this area as a kid and so told Mr packo we would take the turpentine walk out with the pushies, OUCH!!! I am sure it wasn't that steep as a kid, then some great exercise on the way out. all in all a great cache, and great fun had by all. something you may like to add to the list of things to take is salt, we got out with none but I know this area is a great place for leeches and lots of them, a great cache thanks. we took the geocaching sticker and we left the zip up green bag.
This one was a little tricky to find, it took me about 30 minutes to locate! The cache was still a little damp but otherwise in good nick. Took the allen keys and left Harry Potter game.
Found OK after a bit of a search. Clues helped. Cache had some water in it - dried everything out and replaced. Took nothing, left nothing.
I think this ones been washed away. But worth the visit. If your after a good swimming hole keep walking the track for 1/2 hour and you will find one of the best places to swim in the mountains.
Wanted to make this a double act with nearby Linda's, but no luck. Made like mountain goats for an hour, went around in circles, one of the party slipped off a nearby rock into creek (no injuries) and finally gave up. Nice location, worth a visit for its own sake, but not geokiddie friendly, and road is gravel and (presently) only just suitable for 2WD vehicles. Mind the cyclists and hikers on the road...
Another wonderful place to visit, made even better by a cache!
We have been down to Murphy's Glen before, but never taken the liberty of exploring very far. Some of those trees are amazing! Anyone who wonders how the old wooden telegraph pole can be so tall and so straight, should visit this place!
After a short walk, GZ was found and the search began. Mrs_Wally decided where the cache would be after a couple of minutes of searching and delegated Mr_Wally the task of retrieval. The cache was then located without further incident.
Took-Bottle carrier harness.

This was our 2nd find and took a fair effort to achieve success. I took my laptop to the site as I don't own a
GPS just a receiver connected to my laptop.
Good fun will continue to find more caches in the future.

Ahhh Mothers Day, a day to go out caching of course.
11:37am
A pleasant drive along a firetrail we have been down a number of times before, however, we had never bothered to follow the walking trail, what a nice sight waiting for us just a few minutes from the car.
An easy cache to find, but the lid was not replaced properly last time and not clipped correctly, therefore it was rather damp inside, we emptied the small amount of water out, and did what we could to dry anything that was damp.
Signed the log, took a puppy and left a cheeky lizard.
Clipped the lid on properly and hid it back. A very nice spot to come and just sit and listen to the sounds of the bush.

Had been out to this place before, once on a rogaine that had me scouring the surrounding hills and once to Linda's place. This time we went all the way to Murphys place and found the cache. GPS had me about 15m off but the clue made it all that bit easier.
Took the TB to help it on its way, but no other swaps. Great spot Riblet and it was good to get back here. Have camped in the nearby camping ground.

Had trouble with this one ,Had no cheat sheets ,or satalite broadband, I was on the wrong side of the track while Mrs Router was in the write spot but was not lucky enough to jag it.
We will be back to log it later.

This is a great cache to do at night with all the wildlife and the area around the cache is full of glowworms. Found lots of stalactites and even a column in the overhang, which is a great spot to sit and listen to all the sounds.
Swampgecko and Squarewheels have both sent their versions of the coords for this cache. I have put them all in a hat and drawn out the one now featured as the location. If the next finder wants to add theirs to the mix, feel free to send them.
I thought it rather strange to find someone in the middle of nowhere talking into a 'phone. Pleased to meet you Swampgecko especially since you saved me a walk to where there was no cache.
The new coords were punched in and they also took us where there was no cache.
I was wondering at this point whether the cache should be renamed Murphy's Law.
After doing another nearby cache, we returned to find Murphy's Place.
Thanks Riblit.

This cache had all the makings of a classic DNF Fiasco. I attempted this for my 300th cache find(haven't had much luck getting to #300 of late). I bushpushed to the "orginal" co-ords only to spend an hour looking at an area that didn't match the description. I made my way out to the point to try for phone reception, there was none. So I started back to where I left "Betty GeoTruck". Nearly there standing on yet another rocky outcrop I managed to raise the pants wearing Frog. I asked him for the co-ords for his cache... he wants to know why and asks where I am... "up on a ridge" was my reply... "you're suppose to be down at the creek" was his reply. Whilst on the phone I heard a crash through the undergrowth, thinking I had scared a 'roo with my talking I look around to see a stranger in green king-gee work gear making his way to me. It was Square Wheels on his way to where I just had been, looking for his second virgin for the day, he had done Tangles' latest offering this morning and decided to go for a second virgin for the day. Riblit was wondering who I had with me, Square was wondering what the heck I was on about with Riblit. I said fare well to Riblit after obtaining "corrected" co-ords, turns out the reviewer needs a lesson in datums. I gave Squarewheels the "updated cor-ords" and we were off to the new location. We then proceeded to spend another good hour looking around the wrong feature, we went back to the obvious area and looked with no avail, turns out Squarewheels" was within 2ft of the cache but was looking at the wrong spot. We gave up there and headed back to where the GPS was saying Ground Zero was. We gave up after more time and headed back to "Sleeping with Linda's flowers" for my 300th find. I spoke to Riblit and got the exact spot out of him, and explained that our GPS's were putting us still 40 mts out. We returned to the obvious feature and Square found the cache in a flash. So Squarewheels claims two virgin finds today. I took more co-ords for Riblit. GPS reception, whilst able to get 4 skygods, was not the best. So use the force or failing that read the description and the hints, they may tell you where the cache is. All up the day was fun, nothing I like better than a walk in the bush, and met one of the newer players of the game. TNLN signed the log.
