One of my older caches from 2004.
This cache is now fenced off as it appears one of the entry walls is starting to collapse.
Since this is now Off limits in the park it will have to go.
14 years so not a bad effort and it was found by 84 cachers
Over and under out.....

Out and about with Skippy today capturing some Ingress portals and caching at the same time, soon realised where i had to be and there was bunting "no entry" but with it pushed to the ground it has really stopped no one with plenty entering the area, was a very quick find once i entered. TFTC
Thanks for placing and maintains this cache. Am visiting the area on a holiday. Some great tracks in the path. SL TFTC it's nice to see old caches like these still around and in good condition. After rehiding I continued along.
5 of the tuesday cub pack were in the goldfields today on a Grey Wolf Hike. Along the way we managed to find your cache. Thank you.
After walking in was nice to take a minute in a cool spot, took a bit of searching but got in the end. Swapped charm for muggle badge and signed log. Was a bit puzzled at what was getting build along trail with all those blocks, may have to come back again to find out.
Finally got this one! Loved playing through here as a kid... wasn't much shorter then either. Tftc left whistle. Hing helped.
Nice hide!! Bit tricky trying to look around and not do ourselves an injury at the same time! Happy to report that all members of thecoxcrew came away unscathed with another find to log. Very well done SA Parrothead. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Found while out walking in the northern part of Para Wirra Recreation Park.
Thought I was going to get wet feet at the ford over the creek but boots were just high enough to keep socks dry.
Took a guess about how far in to start looking and found it almost immediately, do wonder why this is here.
Thanks for the cache SA_ParrotHead

Found on a return visit didn't know the cache was there first time through. Nice place for a walk.

Found a barking gecko pair in the cave and realised mr mckee is a little too tall for this tunnel. Loved the location tftcsl.
Out for a trek to introduce Mrs BlackSheep to the wonderful world of caching and trail walking. May have pushed her a little too hard for the first outing but she did enjoy finding this cache. And a welcome midpoint rest spot.
Two geckos were spotted enjoying the cool shade of this earthen shelter but my fave part was the quartz crystal veins that lined the tunnel walls. At the place in the gecko photo was an interesting dark stone that sparkled in the torch light although the camera didn't pick up on that unfortunately.
Very cool spot that I probably would never have found if it weren't for caching.
Fave point awarded. TFTC

I came from the niffler cache and was enjoying the sunshine and the lovely bush.
It was a great surprise coming across this tunnel, but i was foiled from entering from the closest side has it was under water. I went around the other side and made the short scramble to the cache. I managed to find it and sign it.
Thanks again SA_Parrothead

What a great place for a cache. Found on a beautiful day for this great walk. Lucky I had a torch on my phone. TFTC.
Found it at about 15:00.
The female part of our team seems to have a good nose for caches. She found it when we walked along it the first time, when we had no satellites signal.
It is an interesting place, with all the history.
Greetings from the Netherlands.

Out with Geoson Sebastian, getting as many as we can before the Mayan apocalypse!
What an awesome hide! Luckily my shoes were pretty close to size, Sebastian found it
though with baby steps!!
This one deserved a visitor, so Luigi the TB has dropped in.
He's a friend of Mario of Mario Kart fame, so he should be right at home near a tramway.
Nice one SA Parrothead. Fav point

We walked over, we walked under, we walked around, we walked a 100 paces creating red faces for all today. we searched, we pondered, we looked but we did not find. We returned through a few hours later on our return and looked again. but no we did not find it perhaps it has been muggled?
what a perfect place for a cache. few of the birds weren't too pleased with us being in there. thanks for a great cache
Nice hide. Grabbed the gyro torch to show me the way only to find it doesn't work anymore. Luckily the smart phone has a torch on it so was able to see it instead of feeling in the dark for it. A good spot to sign the log as it kept me out of the light rain for a few minutes. TFTC SA ParrotHead
What an excellent, fun hide. Luckily geohubby has size 9 shoes [:o)]. Two pair of swallows nesting very nearby.....with young in the nest at present. SLTNLN TFTC. A favourite point from us[^]
We hadn't visited this spot for a few years, was it over or under? Our first guess was right, despite no size nines and Little-Geo losing count,( I was just thinking 'this one might elude us') when there it was!! Fun cache. Cheers guys

Our third cache of the day. What better way to spend a sunny winters day than doing a caching walk around Para Wirra. So many lovely and interesting spots to discover - and this location was one of them.
Really, this is caching at it's best - fantastic walk in the bush, interesting location and cache concept. We enjoyed every aspect of this one TFTC

Found on a caching day at Para Wirra with Lapeelu. Our first underground cache. Took the hard way to this one - was puffed after the biiiiig hill. TNLNSL. Thanks SA_ParrotHead for the cache and the exercise.
Hmmm a tram tunnel in the middle of the park, I had no idea this was here and luckily did not walk blindly when coming from the 'over' approach. The clue is really accurate and I dont think I would have found the cache without it. Thanks SA Parrothead for another great walking cache. TNLN
Now this one was a good one. I admit I missed it completely, I had help in the form of SA Mystery Inc. Lucky she knew what she was doing... Be careful of your head here, I still have the lump Very good hide Parrot Head, signed my name and placed it all back, onward towards another Parrot Head cache...
I must be missing something went back out there today armed with the hint and still no joy. can anyone help?
After what was meant to be a morning of caching we have arrived home finally, very sore and worse for wear but we are home all the same, just wish there was no kids here and a spa bath.
6 caches in Para Wirra in all today, none close to the car, and none made for unfit people like ourselves.
At first driving in we were greeted with emus not letting us through, so it was a slow drive with lots of stopping, if we sped up they ran infront of the car to attack the car.
Was also greeted by a big kangaroo that scared the poops out of us, Short cuts are not recommended in this park, the wildlife are big!
Then there was the fox that followed us, came walking up to us, stupid hubby put his hand out to greet him "here boy".....fox growled and lunged forward so hubby chaced him into a log.
Then good old hubby with 1 and a half k to go back to the car decided to take a tumble, Man Vs Wild style......my nice little camera he just bought me is now all scratched up and ugly, the case destroyed, hubbys pants are ripped up, his face sunburnt, his arm and chest sore from an olive tree trying to save him, scratched and grazes everywhere and the knee he had surgery on not looking to good.
But thanks for the cache,
A funny note on this cache was hubbys pants were full of leaf litter, bark and half the country side so he stopped next to a log, dropped his dacks to empty out the countryside, pulled his pants back up, sat down to take his shoes off to empty them, put his hand down on a slithering, wriggly thing.......had a heartattack, jumped up to watch the lizard waddle off.....shoes on quickly and moved off fast.

The climb up to this one was murderous, especially after having done a similar grade about 45 minutes earlier up to the Devil's Nose. My heart sank when seeing the tunnel (no torch), but it was surprisingly light in there, but no cooler. Found the cache after a quick search, and actually didn't get messy signing the log. TFTC Parrothead.
Initial search had us confused at GZ, until we realised what we were standing on. Further 10min to locate, even with hint. Found by geoP who asked if the dirt here was used to make Talcum powder

Cool cache. One of our favourites! Thanks for planting a cache in such a neat place. Loved learning about the history of this area long the way. Pen wasn't working, so we couldn't sign the log!
Found on a day out finishing off the caches in Para Wirra for us. Looking at the date this was hidden, it was possible that we almost brushed this cache on the way past when we visited this part of the park years ago before we had even heard about geocaching.
A great day out.

Another great cache. Missed it initially but went back for a more serious look and the cache was found. Nearby mine on the way here was impressive too. Thanks for the cache.
First we went under, then over, then back under and found the cache.
Also found the little bird nests which I looked for the cache in until logic won out ! Great hide and best cache of the day - even in the pouring rain ! Look forward to revisiting the area to find the others and maybe hide a couple of new ones when Spring arrives [^] Made our way back to the car park and visited the museum - Always love visiting the places close to home that you often neglect TNLSSL

Sorry about the very late log - found whilst out hiking with Lee Burton and the dogs - TFTC
What a fantastic area. Decided that Wackys and I would get our fitness back up to scratch and decided we would do some hiking.
This is our 5th find so far.
If other caches find this just look up and we were fascinated to find a birds nest partly made out of the quartz crumble. Wackys will post photo's later.
Cheers and thanks for the cache.

What a lovely Autumn morning for a quiet walk through this tunnel, after nearly having to abseil down from Devils Nose in the hunt for "Runny Nose". I've probably taken the geokids thru this tunnel and past cache a dozen times before I discovered geocaching! Great hide. Took tape measure, left koala. TFTC.
Having a bit of a bushwalk in the area, and the geokid wanted to double check to make sure there wasn't anything irresistible put into the cache since our last visit. All good with the cache.
Interesting history and walk. Nice hide!

This one has to be one of our favourites. The geokids loved it. We loved the clue. Mr matmob even had the right sized shoes! T golf ball, L shrek toy and TB Hiker Pin. Thanks for a great cache.
Thanks for the cache SA_ParrotHead. Tackled this one and Runny Nose from The Knoll lookout in the Parra Wirra Park. Explained Geo-caching to some muggles on the way out, including a clue as to the location of Over and Under, they were suprised that they have passed close to a cache and not known it. I think they may be converts to this wierd past time!

The 2nd nice stroll for the day after the nearby Andy's Rest. Found GZ and no possible hiding places. Spotted G3 and it all made sense. Easy find after that. No swaps but left TB Bird Brain from nearby new South Para cache. Thanks SA_Parrothead.
Hot but came the right way which was useful with the amount of caches we were trying to do. Freddo was on top while Bruce was underneath and Liz stood by watching the antics. Anyway the cache was located and extracted from its cool spot. Exchanged TB. Thanks SA Parrothead.
Found this cache between one cache and another, before going to the other cache and another.
Maybe the heat was getting to us by then or perhaps it was dehydration. Or even mango madness.
Anyway this is the place that we did our travel bug swaps.
Neat idea in a great spot. I stood on top with my instrument in hand at GZ. May as well had my tool instead. Bruce had a better idea. Clever Bruce.

Took the wrong way in, didn't read the sheets that said which path to take. Took the hardest one imaginable. Didn't take enough to drink. Took the kids.
Thoroughly relieved to find the cache. Was a cool break and it was hard to get up to make the trek out (the right way this time).
Took a snake, left 2005 Maslin's Olympic Medal.
Thanks Parrots - need to be prepared for your caches .... you'd think "I'd" know that though....
On way back to car Partner guided me to this interesting spot. Having lived in the 'Goldfields' in WA for many years, always find the history of such areas very interesting. Cannot believe ALL that construction for 'DIDDLY' I love tunnels Walked back to car in somewhat threatening weather - lots of thunder, but not much rain. If anyone is out this way and finds a gold charm bracelet with a fish charm on it, please let me know. Thanks again Parrothead.

Came up from Runny Nose and found the goldfields relics and remains fascinating. Was a bit dubious of the stability of the feature near G3, but I lived to tell the tale. Took the bubble mix (only because I couldn’t get it back in ) and left a tailors tape measure. Thanks for a very interesting and thoroughly enjoyable mornings walk SA ParrotHead.
New caches in the Parra Wirra, that sounds like fun! Thoroughly enjoyed my morning in the area , thanks. Very well placed, and considering a recent visit to 'on ya knees' it's nice that it was dry also.
