Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on. SA caching foray. Staying in Mount Gambier for a week to grab some of the local hides. Its been sixteen years since since we were last here so enjoying the re-visit. Trust your gos co-ords are spot on. Thanks for the hideLNCU
We are travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are in Beautiful Mt Gambier for a few days, soaking up the amazing things this area has to offer. We especially love the bush, back roads, and the wild southern seas. TFTC LNCU.
Will be back another day as I have to find a way into this cache. Ran out of time and had to leave the area.
Well, for us it was driving, not diving today . Plus a little bit of walking .
Looked around for awhile before finding the well hidden container [8].

Mr Nicko57 and Mr sylken decided to enjoy a day grabbing a few caches to add a few more smileys to the map.
Parked at a clear area at the top of the cliff and spoke to others nearby who confirmed there was a bit of a goat track along the cliff top. The cache was found about 100 metres along this track.
Many thanks for the hide -Beaker-

Found It!
Great spot for a cache! I parked nearby, walked over to GZ and started searching. Took me quite a while to spot it but eventually I looked from just the right angle. Great views out over the ocean from up here!

Another stunning view. Looked for 10 mins or so and was about to give up when, bingo, there it was. Soooo many bushes.
i drove down from nene valley. stopped to get the caches along the way, made it all the way to middle point. I even placed one along the way. A short walk to this one and a quick find. nice views from here.
found with mogni. The target this australia day long weekend was 3 island caches, ladder entry in to a cave, a few tree/structure climbs, finishing mine and mogni's tradition fizzy grids, driving for 10's of km's along the coast line at various spots ( longest stretch was over 30 km's ) and a multi on a calendar day for me plus a puzzle and multi on calendar days for mogni.

The last day of our stay at Cape Douglas. We thought we should get the cache closest to our accommodation. Brilliant coastal views. TFTC.
Took a little to get to this one. Great views once I got to the final destination. TFTC SL TNLN
Some good weather on the radar for today, so a plan was hatched to head to the coast. Was a challenging day finding the right tracks to be on, and we seemed to have the wrong calculations for a few caches too so the hunt was made more difficult than it should have been. [:o)] [B)]
We have friends who live in this area but as luck would have it they left this week to warmer climates!

This weekend, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to Glencoe and Mount Gambier for some scuba diving, 4WD and geocaching/sightseeing adventures. Saturday was spent cave diving, Sunday was used to dive Ewens Ponds and 4WD along the southen coast from Port MacDonnell to Blackfellows Caves, while Monday we drove back to Adelaide via Millicent, Southend, Beachport, and Cape Jaffa. A busy long weekend in the south-east.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I started the day with a Mount Gambier breakfast, followed by a booked morning dive in Ewens Ponds. It was [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T)'s first fresh water scuba dive, and a rather enjoyable experience with the sun out. We then drove along the coast, and where I was expecting a continual coast road, it looked like we had to go inland and back out a fair bit. We went through Cape Douglas, and put the jeep through its paces up the rocky ascents/descents. The track then filtered out, and we were left to continue our travels along some very soft beach sand. We were getting a little worried since it was getting late in the day, but once we lowered the vehicle's tyre pressure down, it was reasonably easy driving. A fun day out!
We parked nearby, and followed the loose walking track towards GZ. Some terrific views over the coast today, and the oceans did look reasonably flat-ish. We searched for the cache a little, but it was The Morris' log that helped with our focus. Once found, the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Beaker's Bunch aka [@-Beaker-](http://coord.info/PRN1VJ) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. Unfortunately we didn't have time to snorkel/dive around Douglas Point today.

Four sets of eyes made this a quick find - even though we were all bleeding by the end! Fabulous view TFTC
The third voyage in the new camper, staying at Port Macdonnell for the intervening days. Little bit of relaxing, little bit of touristy stuff, little bit of scuba for Mr Morris and some caching.
Today we headed down the coast collecting a few caches we have missed on previous trips. Great to collect such an old cache - it was totally cracked so we have replaced it with a black fruit container under some spinifex.
Thanks for contributing to a great weeks holiday -Beaker-

Out with CPwanderer caching around Port Mac & Carpenters Rocks due to the heat.
CP was keen to do this one, but we didn't have a 4WD.
We realised that we hadn't travelled far enough along the road &
found the nearby car-park.
Didn't mind following the track until the track disappeared...
Gz was in a rather lot of shrub & we were rather wary of snakes.
By the time we walked down back to the car,
CP had scratched his legs quite a bit by wearing shorts
Thanks for bringing us here, great location Beaker Bunch

Well this was an adventure.. couldn't work out the correct approach at first ..... then we made the walk from the car park and I cut my log up on some of the vegetation. Certainly a memorable experience!!
Great spot. Bit hard to find but worth it
Left a toy penguin. Took travel path tag.

A quaint little town. We drove through and parked on the beach to eat our fish and chips before making our way to this cache. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC.
Amazing location. We thought you might have hidden the cache at the bottom of the cliff and checked there first. Whoops. The surf was pumping.

Found no worries . Speccy views from here and big seas today. thx Beaker for the hide.
Found on a very blowy day! Almost was about to give up then bam there it was! Not ideal to find with thongs or shorts.
Found it very late in the day, had a walk of about 350 metres each way and got back to the car just before it was too dark to see. It was a nice walk along the beach for part of the way though. TFTC
#3603 We'd had a wonderful time driving around the area - friends told us there wasn't much around this region to see......they must've been driving around with their eyes closed! We continued following in the footsteps Squalid, Firesafe, Honeysucker and Huurtle who had been through earlier in the day. The cache was well hidden and in good condition. Although we both would love to dive, one of us can't for health reasons and the other tried & managed to suck the tank dry in 10mins on 1st instruction........so much for the hour lesson . Anyway, we digress, a lovely spot, thanks for bringing us here -Beaker- [^]
Found on our trip to the Little Big Event with Firesafe no diving just a few caches
After our swim today, we were energised so walked to this cache on the way back. Took a little while to find, and had to fight off some bitey flies, but we got there in the end. TFTC.

Had a quick look around for this one today with no luck, but we are coming back to this location very soon and will have a better search. Thanks for showing us some awesome coastline.
Dang it! Spent 45 mins on this one. Sat lock down to 5m - but was using my 'droid which drifted all the same. Will be back with my eTrex.
no luck for us... tried both from the beach and the car park... nice walk though!
Good news Beaker its still there

Tried to get to this first from the beach - great walk along the sand then some rock scrambling but chickened out when I got to the scrub( only one minute to go). Next tried via the 4WD track going up this on foot. Again got to within a minute of the cache but again was faced with scrub. My sense of self preservation kicked in - looked like great snake habitat - so will attempt this one again once the weather cools down in autumn.
Had a really good view of the surf waves today and quite surprised how far down the coast we could see. TFTC SL
wonderful cache, have been working here previously but ended up doing the find with Geoparents TFTC
Joint find for this one as we run into another team having a day out as well. Took 0 Left 0
We drove in to this little cove and the kids enjoyed a little play on the beach whilst dad hunted the cache. Found it at 14:20 & took compass carabiner and left a $2 coin.
It was a very wild and woolly day today and the power of the waves crashing onto the reef and rocks was quite awesome.
Thanks to Beaker's Bunch for bringing us here

We came out here today to do a couple of caches and this was a nice little warm up for the main event. Great looking coast around here. By the end of the day we would be sick of searching coastal scrub but not yet. Thanks Beakers Bunch.
The view from here was spectacular to see very rough seas with equally strong winds made the walk difficult, but rewarding, located cache no problems. Will come back next time and continue the walk along the coast line GZ told us there is another cache nearby.. not today...
