As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Again, could not find and, judging by spoiler images, we were looking in the right place.
Great spot though, and enjoyed an ice cream from the shop opposite.

25-Apr-08
Also checked this one out today, two of us in one day. found the spot with the clue but no sign of the cache Sad But also enjoyed an ice cream from the shop.

13-Apr-08
Think we were in the right spot but no sign of cache, great spot so would like to see this one checked and reactiviated. Lots of people enjoying a lovely sunny day by the waterfront.

15-Mar-08
Had a good loook twice could not locate cache. found small pencil in gravel at location so cache may have been found and taken by someone.

10-Mar-08
As with the previous log this has to go down as a DNF. There were again lots of people in the general area practising their dragon boats for the weekend, but no-one at the cache site itself. Having checked the cache pictures this morning I was looking in the right place but didn't find anything.

We're back there on Friday so may have another look then ...

09-Mar-08
No muggles about today at this spot. People were on the water practising their dragon boats. Couldn't find it after searching for 20 minutes (thought we had the spot sussed with the coordinates and the clues/photos). Either we didn't look hard enough, or it got muggled?

02-Mar-08
We are 'out of sequence' in recording this cache as we've just arrived home. Since we have been on a Cruise ship, I can't tell you what day we located the hide as we forgot to record that on our papers, but the log is properly signed. Very cool area - enjoyed the walk to the cache location. Was very easy to do from the docking area.

26-Feb-08
As a visitor to Wellington on a lovely afternoon, I found this a great spot. Lots of dragon boat crews about, plenty of other people too so I had to be stealthy. Sat by the cache to eat a really good icecream from nearby. Took the geocoin to move on. Thanks for bringing me here - I enjoyed the location.

26-Feb-08
Donna and I explored the area while waiting for friends. Had to use the clue. The log is quite wet.
Left travel coin.

Another great lunch spot. The cache is a little soggy and the log book is full. TFTC TNLN

10-Feb-08
Got it the second time, our first in the southern hemisphere! Nicely hidden but, as BeavisNZ said, a bit soggy.

We Canadians have posted a picture of us nearby.

09-Feb-08
Found with Mrs.G and put it in a new box. Nb The notebook takes up practically all the box so I'd advise other cachers not to try leaving cards/tat as it will just cause the box to break again...

09-Feb-08
Found it together with miowmix (who donated a new box for this cache). Enjoyed Edge Festival afterwards.

07-Feb-08
Logged from my phone using the Geocache Navigator by Trimble. Sorry it took so long to post this find but we misplaces our field notes when we returned from our trip down under. We really enjoyed your harbour. Took nothing left an Arkansas pin. SL TFTC.

As has been mentioned cache has only half a container and is damp.
Still a nice spot though.
Thanks

As others have mentioned this cache isn't in very good shape. I hope someone does adopt and maintain it. It is a nice location. I signed the extra page, everything is damp. Added a sig item, TNSL. T4TC.

21-Jan-08
Could this be archived please if it is not going to be maintained? I am only too happy to either adopt the cache or place another in the same area if it is archived. Thank you. GC.

Find #5 @14:28

Great little spot - have walked around the lagoon loads of times and never ventured onto this piece of it! As mentioned before, is wet inside and needs attention. Signed log with own pen (too wet for pencil). Some calling cards but no trades in there.

- nothing

My very first find - thanks to Pooke taking me out. I can see this one from work, so now I'm going to be spying on anyone lurking around Smile

20-Jan-08
Container missing, lid was in the bag with the log, a better hide may be required as the cache fell out onto the ground as we moved the shrub cover. Placed the cache back slightly better to avoid this happening again. Interesting spot, thanks.

18-Jan-08
We were very lucky because we found $ 10 near the cache.

16-Jan-08
We surprised some muggles sitting at GZ at 12am! It was an easy find - however the bottom of the cache container seems to be missing? Contents are quite wet.

Enjoyed the stroll through the little park.

11-Jan-08
Easy find. This was my second try, on a previous occasion on a Saturday afternoon there was a wedding party having photos taken right next to the cache site so I didn't even try to go there. TNLN - signed log as agc062. Thanks for the cache!

11-Jan-08
This one must be maintained soon. It is sodden!! We tried approaching this by walking but to no avail, people were right there. When we hired kayaks, we kayaked back and managed to get it.

01-Jan-08
We are on holiday from Scotland. Found what is left of the cache ok, but as the other logs have said, this cache is in dire need of maintenance. The log book is so wet it is hard to write on it. TNLN, thanks.

25-Dec-07
Cache has been muggled. Found only parts of the cache spread around the cachelocation. Collected the logbook and a logsheet (both wet), the top of the box and some stickers other cachers left in the cache. We put everything we found in a zip bag and placed it according to the hints. BUT THE CACHE DEFINETELY NEEDS HELP!!!

Very nice spot. Thanx, teamKollMont from Germany xx

23-Dec-07
Found while husband paid for lunch. a sting ray was located nearby by some rowers on the water.
Dipped in a dragon spinner and took to other geocoins.

22-Dec-07
We liked this one, first one we've found with things to look at. Main log book full, but there's a few spaces left on the extra page that's there.

Nice spot.

29-Nov-07
Found this one on a cool, windy evening, with some revellers at a nearby establishment quite oblivious. I don't know why I looked where I did, but then I thought 'what a fantastic spot'.

* Returned today to leave TB 'Kevin the Koala' - sorry, had to stuff it in a bit; took mini-screwdriver. The original logbook is full and unnecessarily taking up a lot of space. *

Thanks for a reasonable-sized urban cache.

Coordinates bang on! Easy find with sister and her hubby. TFTC!

Nice place but very windy for my taste. We took the ferry to Picton the day after and that was a ride. TNLNSL

12-Nov-07
The hint certainly made for a very speedy find as we were on the run to catch the ferry to head back to Picton, and didn't want to upset Geospouse with too much of a delay.
Thanks for the hunt and the hint, Brett.

We found this one today, without the GPS (or any useful information). We just remembered there was one in the general area near by the boat sheds, and it took roughly two minutes to find. There wasn't really anyone around to spot us and see what we were doing despite it being at a very visible site. Would be a great place to have lunch or something, if there weren't so many fruitflies, bugs, etc. biting us.

TNLN. Thanks for the cache!
