Tftc - found WP1 along time ago so I knew exactly where to find it again. Obtaining the required info again I proceeded to GZ and performed the required duties.
After 20 minutes I ran out of ideas at WP1. Do we need pass through the fence to find the details?
It was our intention to make a good start on the Penrith Heart puzzle series today, but we had a few of our selected targets thwarted by sleeping geokid, pregnancy and just bad luck with muggles.
We targeted a total of 11 caches with 2 DNFs for the day.
---
A search around WP1 didn't reveal anything that stood out enough to reveal some coordinates for WP2. Maybe today just wasn't my day when it comes to multi's.

My story is very much like Gatherer Hade's. I'd also come up short on previous visits to WP1 and to be honest, had shied off coming back for another go because of the amount of undergrowth there.
However, a couple of weeks back I had to call into the whitewater centre and when I saw that the undergrowth had pretty much disappeared, I decided to have another go. It took ages (well, it felt like it), not to mention picking up a bloody head thanks to a low hanging limb, but eventually I found what I was looking for. Yay!
Time was very much against me so making the final find had to wait until I next came to this part of the world. It turns out that decision cost me 10 or 11 months of unlove ... oh well, c'est la vie! Anyway, I called by GZ today and was able to make a quick find of the cache, which I can report is in good knick.
Thanks for the cache zylaxas.

#4893 (1 of 4 today)
Decided to head west and target some multis today - two of which hadn't been found for a while. Of course I picked the wrong day of the week for this - MultiMonday has a ring to it (heck I could even have had WaypointWednesday) but all I have for today is TerminusThursday. Lame, I know.
Anyway, got all four I went for while traveling between Penrith and Richmond. And back home before peak hour. Bargain!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Two years ago I came up short at the first waypoint. Time for a revisit. But there are no finds since last April, and no finds of waypoint 1 since December 2016. Hmmm.
Started my search - the area seems to have been cleaned up a bit since I was last here. I had four different ideas for how it was hidden, so started methodically checking them all. Nothing. Well every chance it's been cleaned up.
So finally caved in and went for a PAF. They confirmed one of my thoughts. So refocussed and checked it again. Nope. Back for a second sweep... what's that? Oh wow, it's still there, and quite legible as well. That is a mean waypoint, no wonder so many DNF it.
So with thanks to my PAF I headed to GZ.
And a nice easy find there.
And the cache is in tip top condition. All good with this cache.
Completed signing duties and then back to *The Hademobile*.
Nice view near GZ.
And almost eleven months of unloved days. Wins all round.

Finally got back here to finish this multi. Got the data from WP1 ages ago, but found volunteer workers next to GZ. Today, the coast was clear, and Sue fortunately made a quick find. TFTC
5/4/17. 10:38 AM.
2nd of 2 DNFs (& 5 finds) this morning - Cranebrook, Llandilo & Castlereagh.
Continuing in the same area I was in yesterday, I grabbed a couple more of the Puzzled Hearts series and some of the others around them.
After finding "Hungry Heart", I wanted one more cache for the day, so came over to this one. I walked back and forth along WP1 looking for anything that could contain or display WP2 (GZ?) coordinates. I was rushing a little as it decided to rain around now and was getting heavier.
I see that many others in their logs needed help; maybe I'll need to as well, but I gave it a good go for a while. I'll be back another time. Meanwhile, I still wanted one more, so I went off to "A Song by Yothu Yindi".

I had already made my 'wish' a reality, of finding #4 different Types of caches today, but another Multi is always good (unless you need it at a later date!) I must have had an older version saved of the cache page, as I wrote down quite a bit, as I obviously didn't want to take my laptop with me as I searched at WP1. From a 40º day on Wednesday, it had finally warmed up tonight from a day of 13º in the Blue Mountains to a pleasant, but wet 19º. Found the coordinates, and didn't need to know what colours had different values.
Then I had 'fun' trying to find my way to GZ. There was still a few people checking out the great Christmas light displays, even in the drizzle.
At GZ it was a short scramble, using a headlight, until I found it @ 2235, GAFF2
Cache dry and intact. I think I tried to add a CSM, but not sure if I actually left one there.
Another opportunity to add a bookmark for the Night Caching elective #6, for finding caches after on hour after sunset, etc.
Through for mileage: 12-12-12 Multi Event - Auckland, New Zealand; 15 Years of Geocaching 2000-2015 Geocoin; 2014 Geocaching NSW geocoin; 3.1415 Pi & Ice Cream Slice; 3Brothers-NSW; Auckland NZ '13; Bridge2Bridge Travel Ingot; Cache Critters - Baa, Neigh, & Oink Geocoins; CII-35Z; CITO - Upper Swan, and Beyond; Discover Me & Animals: GCookie; Flash Mob XII GCookie Geocoin; G Cookie Earth Cache 10 Year Celebration Coin; GCookie FIZZY coin; Geo-NSW 2015 Waymarks coin; GeoNSW 2016 Geocoin; Hello Cocky TB; IconicBridges2012; Kengu; NZ Mega 13; NZ Mega 2013 Spare Key; NZ Mega Auckland 2013 Signature Trackable; Oz Mega 2014 GCookie; Qld Mega 2015 GCookie coin; Raunchy Rhino; Spindoc Bob & Friends Coin; Suzie@2431; and Transaustralia.

SWAG Gang Streak Day #22
Trackables Visited: #2
Trackables Dropped: #0
Trackables Spotted: #0
Trackables Taken: #0
Cache Condition: Great!
Finally able to put this one to bed!
How ridiculous to have not found this last time we here over a year and a half ago.
I remember thinking i was looking for a sort of broken system with coords in, boy was I wrong!
Walked straight to it and knew straight away what i had found and when.
We made the trip over and had the cache in hand while the geoWife called and ordered pizza.
Thanks zylaxas!

Had to go to Penrith today, so time after our appointment time for a few caches TFTC quick find. While looking for Thomo31 bird Series caches thought we might have a look for a few others around the area.
Out doing some caching with WaywardWoman today. Driving nearby I asked to detour to look again for this one. I had looked a long time ago, but WW gave me a hint on what I was actually looking for. Still took me 5 mins to finally spot it. With next WP co-ords entered, we headed to GZ. I quick look around and had cache in hand. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
A short leave pass this morning for a spot of caching before the rain is due to hit.
I had stopped here once before at WP1 without luck. This morning my luck was in finding what had been missed last time. Armed with the information needed it was off to GZ.
Parking nearby I had a 40 mtr stroll to GZ. My first few checks didn't find anything but when widening the circle of the search a find was soon made. Retrieved and signed the log before replacing as found. tftc
Bonus this one will cover Archery in the 2016 GeosportZ competition due to the thorns attribute

I was taking my nephew back home and decided to drag him along with my geodogs to find a cache. I was planning to get a nearby park n grab but realised that it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and I was in no rush so instead decided it was the perfect time to do a multi. Left my entourage in the car at WP1 while I searched for the information I needed to find GZ. I couldn't see anything and the area was nice and clear so I read over some past logs. One talked about scratching the ground and so I decided to do the same and did a little internal happy dance to uncover what I needed in the first place I looked. Off we drove to GZ and this time everyone got out of the car to help in the search. After a short bush bash as we went around in circles, I eventually spotted a likely piece of camo. Sure enough the cache was underneath. SL #2555 on streak day #1424 TFTC
First we read the previous logs for this cache and realised that the information at WP 1 might be a bit tricky to find as it seemed to be something different to the usual. On arriving at WP 1 we had a look around but saw nothing a first glance. Then we started a more thorough search and soon had the required information in hand. Back to the geo vehicle we went and used the GPS which soon had us parking very close to GZ. Just a short search later revealed the cache with a log that had not been signed for a while. We put our name on it and replaced everything where it ha d been found. Thank you for an interesting multi and a bit more local history.
At home today we are having a scheduled power outage - something about maintenance / upgrades. So no point staying home.
The Geowife originally had plans but they fell through. She ended up taking Geoson #3 to Miranda and I headed *waaaaaaay* out west to find a whole bag of caches.
In the end I found twelve in the late morning / afternoon sun - at one point the car was saying it was 35 outside - but there were also a few DNFs - I blame the heat.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
So many passing trucks here today - including a street cleaner that just kept going past again and again...
Didn't find the first waypoint as a result, and was only willing to stay there for a little while in view of constant muggles.
Second cache involving olives I've DNfed in the last few weeks.

WP1 had been visited months back but with such a profusion of rubbish the seek was abandoned before it was started.
Today the grass cutter and cleaners had been through leaving a scorched earth scenario ... and paradoxically the 'mushroom was about to abandoned the seek once more as there was nothing at all there.
Hmmm, methinks, that is having bob each way! A ponder, a poke here, a scrape there, a wander ... ahh, and what is this?
WP2 waypoints clearly defined - now that wasn't too hard.
New coords into the Garmin ... a direct way blocked and on a roundabout way picking up another cache en route.
There was some trepidation at the first indication of where to be, with thankfully the Garmin quickly settling and the cache - all in good condition - was within grasp. TFTC zylaxas

Between showers we did our dose of caching for the day. Arrived at WP1 and found a cleverly hidden set of coods for the final GZ. Checked the location and found a way of avoiding getting too wet and not having to paddock bash to GZ. Soon found what we came for and duties performed, all good here. I love olives. TFTC
Find #428 at 17:42.
This took me much longer and more pain than it should have been. That'll teach me to write the co-ords down wrong. Great final location if you don't bash your way through the thick scrub.
Thanks for the cache zylaxas.

Great cache; we were truly stumped by WP1 and needed hep from a friend as to what we were looking for. Last time we tried to visit GZ it was raining and the kids refused to get out of the car. Called by today and thankfully had a quick find as dark was quickly approaching!
Found WP1 Monday after school; a hint from a friend and knowing it had been found the same day made for a much more determined child! Out of time to get to GZ with said child needing to go to the shops to buy a jumper. Surely caching should be the priority here!?
I dropped by GZ Tuesday morning so that I don't have to deal with frustrated kids again after school tomorrow (or when it's next not raining!) Cache found and in good order. Have not signed log; will do that with the kids.

WP 1 was a bit of a challenge. Saw the tank mentioned in an earlier post but that was not there the first time we came by. Geowiff found the information at WP 1 and then off for a brisk walk to WP2. Lovely view from up there. TFTC TNLN
Visited WP1 with my daughter and failed to find the starting point this afternoon. Interesting oxygen (gas) tank where we thought WP1 should be but nothing we could identify as useful for caching... Her patience (or lack there of) may have been a hindrance!
I'll be back...
I'll be back...
Favourite. Cant believe no favourites in ten years. Favourite for wp1, the history, and the views. Have failed previously to find wp1, but got it today. Have read all the logs and thought I could find Gz without needing waypoint 1, but wasn't close enough. When I am in this area from now on I will think of this cache.Tftc and for keeping it going for a decade. A satisfying find.
#252 took a diversion from the Hearts series to get this one as we were nearby. Found the details for GZ earlier and located GZ. Stopped to find the cache. The log was damp but I was able to sign. Replaced as found
I had a go at this one last year, when I started caching, but the phone app had me in the wrong spot. I came back this time with the coordinates punched into my Magellan and found the cache in a matter of minutes. It was not in a good state and decided to do some maintenance, seeing as I had all the necessary stuff in the back of the car. There's a trig up the road for the GA cachers too. TFTC. Nice easy multi with a great view into the bargain.
Long hard look with no muggles in the area. Will keep a watch on it and hope the CO checks it. Seems like it has needed checking for several months.
Travelled to Penrith to attend the Paper Craft Show, & picked up some caches in the afternoon.
Had trouble with this one, so PAF to assist in our journey to GZ
Cache was found, but container is very damaged & log is wet.
Many thanks for placing this cache, zylaxas, for us and others to find.

Came here to try and find the furthest cache from my house in our current pocket query but, we couldn't find WP1 at all.
I think it's time the cache owner has a look at this cache as it hasn't been found in a very long time and the last DNFs were ages ago.

I think I found the olive tree, two of them, but there was nothing that resembled a cache. Nice view though.
Searched high and low but could not find it. A tree had recently been cut down - could it have been there???
Quick find of wp1 then a short trip to cache where it was quickly found, stopping to see the morning views. Nice multi. Tftc
Enjoyed our lunch then on way to stop found WP1, to drive turn back to nearly heart series area, good spot to find one as no trouble thanks
Found this one before a trip up to Newnes Plateau for a day of canyoning.

Did this cache in two halves. Found the first WP1 days ago, and came back to finish a few days later. A nice sized cache in decent condition. TFTC.
We came here and started to search for the cache but somehow we found it quick. Dropped 2 TBs here. TFTH.
Great day out for caching - enjoyed this multi with Everlasting & skyejam. Thanks for leading us here
Interesting about the history and nice multi - thanks for shared with us.
Come back to finish off... The cache need replace before winter... signed the log with sevabo and skyejam. Thanks zylaxas.

After a morning of white water rafting to celebrate the end of our homeschooling primary years we had some time to pick up a few local caches. This was our second of the day and after a brisk walk in the dust storm we found WP2. SL. Geoson took a couple of plastic bits and left some plastic bits.
GPS didn't want to work at wp2 but still found fairly quickly. So that's who to blame for their being hideous olive trees everywhere. Needs a new container but I think this is destined to become another piece of litter. Tftc tnln
Gave this a try after a long multi from Parramatta to Penrith.
Hardest part was searching the fence line trying to spot the coords.
After gathering info, drove over to GZ, parked at bottom of hill and walked 220m through blackberry/ long grass to the olive tree where I spied the hide easily. Thanks Zylaxas for the hide.

Came out at night with the brother. I think we were just hugging the wrong trees. Will return again in daylight.
Off we went to see the view and what an amazing view. I forgot the camera - what a shame.
Nice job on the way point!
But a bit of a drive around as one of the roads has been closed.

After locating WP1, we entered the coordinates and set off to find the cache. We were a little concerned nearing that mountain-side, having past experience with it. Relief was soon felt when we realised we didn't need to climb it! Cache located fairly quickly. Fun container for the kids. Thanks.
We were a little perplexed when looking around WP1 as to what we were looking for but when we spied it, all became clear. We took the long walk up the hill to WP2 only to find we could have driven to within metres of GZ. An easy find once we dodged all the rubbish. The views from GZ were pretty good. TNLNSL. TFTC.
found at night, wp1 took a while, followed the hint but was just looking in the wrong spots, found the cache and signed log, tftc.
A good little multi, which was slightly complicated by a road closure but we managed to bypass it. TFTC.
We found the nearby “People of the Past Series: McCarthy's Cemetery” last week but didn’t have time then to attempt this one. Today we were also a bit pressed but, as we had been looking forward to doing this interesting multi, we decided to give it a go.
Fortunately, we found WP1 quite quickly, the only problem being the deciphering of the coordinates which had been affected by the recent muddy conditions. While I got my glasses from the car, YGAT did a bit of housework and we were soon able to punch the numbers into the eTrex and proceed to GZ through a confusing maze of streets. Once at GZ it was a quick find, the coordinates are spot-on.
Thanks zylaxas for the interesting story and historical context. Odd behaviour by the council, though I suppose we are becoming used to such developments despite authorities paying lip-service to matters of conservation and heritage.

We rushed to do this one during our lunch break and returned to work a little late. It was certainly worth it though. It’s a great story and the views of the Nepean Valley from GZ are fantastic. SL TNLN TFTC
After some encouragement, we came back to attempt this multi. Really it was quite easy in the end. Plus I got to see some Olive's Views! Also the geodaughter learned what olive trees look like. There used to be plenty on my parent's farm growing up.

Found this one on my way home late from work. Had some real trouble locating WP1, but once i finally had the next coords i made an easy park and grab for the cache.

WP1: after several attempts I finally found the co-ords for WP2 and headed off to locate it.
WP2: once I arrived at the location I went on the search. Struggled to get my phone to point me in the right direction and after a heap of puncture wounds and getting frustrated I ended up looking in the obvious places. Not long after that I had the cache in hand.
Thanks for a great cache.

3rd time lucky. This one was really getting on our nerves. Purple143 and I done this one together. WP1 kept fooling us. Wasn't what we were expecting, not to worry. Placed it back exactly as we found it. Went on the short drive to WP2, the rain wasn't going to stop us. GPS lead us to far down the hill, and ended up in the prickly stuff, lol. Oh well, that's what it's all about. TNLN, TFTC
No Luck finding WP1, hence no treasure. Went to the row of Olive trees but without Co-ords it was a fruitless search
Found nice and easy.
Never seen an Olive tree before so wasn't sure i knew what i was looking for.

WP1 took a bit of searching, my husband eventually found that one for us.
WP2 - we parked at the bottom, about 200m from the cache & walked up. I was initially accompanied by my 2 girls, but the eldest sensibly decided to go & wait with her father in the car. Youngest was made of tougher stuff & continued on with me, through the field of blackberries and onwards into the thorny scrub. It was tough going, but eventually we made it the GZ & found the cache.
Signed the log & replaced the cracked container. Then looked around & called husband to drive up & collect us! He used zen navigation (no street directory or car gps with him today) to find his way to within 10m of the cache.
Pity I hadn't remembered the name of the nearby trig, that would have told me where to drive to!
Thanks zylaxas.
