This was the last cache for rassilon256 and I. It was a lovely walk down to Freres Crossing to view a piece of history. It was then a bit of a bush bashing up a rough path to the coordinates. The container at WP1 was fitting for a puzzle cache. Once we completed it, it was then a matter of working out how to get the information we required. We then proceeded to WP2 and the cache location. Some more bush bashing but it wasn't too far. At GZ, rassilon256 had the eyes for this one and it wasn't long before we signed the log and started the trek back out. A wonderful cache to end a fantastic day with rassilon256
A terrific little adventure, well worth the trip. Beautiful and historic views, a bushwalk, an excellent example of a field puzzle, and of course a cache to find and log at the end!
A brisk walk down from the gates brought llama_boy and I to the crossing, which prompted some discussion and photography. Then we set off to WP1. We effectively described a J-curve around the waypoint before ending up directly above it, but when we got there it was an easy find. A previous finder had mentioned this cache to me some time ago so I knew roughly what to expect, but it was still a good surprise to see what was in the container I retrieved.
It took us a few minutes working together to assemble what we needed, and then a few more to work out how to actually see what it said. Soon however we had a waypoint in my phone and took off to the nearby WP2. There were a few prospective spots of exactly the kind you'd expect in this landscape, but I managed to pick the right one. The cache was almost invisible but the guardian gave it away. I didn't quite have the reach but a perfect tool was right next to me, I suspect left by a previous finder. I retrieved it and we enjoyed the odd assortment contained within before signing and replacing.
Then it was back down the slopes to the road and back up to the cars. Sadly I had to let llama_boy go to more important people, but I had a great day with him finding some truly excellent caches like this one.

Enjoyed the hike on a Saturday afternoon with Meritonnn. This one definitely had us puzzled and full of sssurprises! Always enjoy the bush walks along the George's river
Having refueling after a big morning of parkrun and orienteering, I was in the mood for some caching and put the call out to the Geo-crew. Lo and behold it looked like no one was able to join me... What?! However, I managed to tempt Ad0nis once I mentioned that A0 #3 - Roswell was my target for the day. This was to be my 2nd attempt here - my first had been after some big rainfall and after making it to within 7m of WP1, I had reluctantly turned back as everything was just too wet and slippery to confidently tackle on my own. Today was a different story however, making our way to those familiar rocky outcrops I could not believe how dry the bush and leaf litter was. Soon enough we found ourselves in front of something very promising and sure enough, a small container was quickly pulled from its hidey hole. I'd had my suspicions as to what it may contain and indeed these proved correct. And then the fun began... I liken this to one of those challenges you see on I'm a celebrity get me out of here - two contestants suddenly find themselves in the bush, desperately trying to complete a challenge as quickly as they can whilst ants crawl all around them and mosquitos and March flys attack and draw blood! Our intrepid contestants make many a mistake, they swear, they cuss, they finally work out an optimal method they should have used from the start, they work together as a team... And finally they triumph! With final co-ords gathered, we made our way to the final GZ and spotted a likely location for the cache... But then something else was spotted which made my heart stop for a second!! What the?!?!?! Is it real??!!!!! Much poking and prodding and then much relief to discover all is not as it seems! And finally... A great big cache full of retro goodies for our troubles. Yet another top adventure and story to add to the collection! Tftc! Have a FP!
This cache outwitted me a while back, but to my defence, I was also with the restless geobordercollie, so was never going to get an opportunity to get it. But today, I had a whimsical opportunity and put the word out for some company. Littl3Vix answered the call, so we set at time and met at the gates to set off on our adventure. And what an adventure it was! I had unfortunately recently lost my etrex, so once we had extracted the coordinates it was a battle using our phones with really poor reception, but that was what made it so much fun. We spent some quality time resolving the coordinates. Upon locating the hide, there were multiple cache guardians, some concerning, some not! Extracted the info and finished signing duties. Then bashed our way back. Great afternoon out with thanks to Littl3Vix for your company and help!
Find #492 on streak day #164.
Looking at my map today and wondering what I should go for with the warmer weather we are having. When suddenly a message came through from a geofriend, Sweetmanda, wondering if I was up for a bit of a bush walk. How could I say no to nice weather, nature and good company. As well as a cheeky cache!
I have to say, today was a fun day working out the final coords and searching for the crash site. We had such an adventure! We made our way to WP1 easily and managed to find what we needed. Enjoying the views while solving the final set of coords, we realised that we both had no reception in this area. Luckily one of my apps got us there in the end. Well... 20 metres away after a bit of rambo style. We did have to double back just a little bit to get to the right elevation and start a search, but it didn't take too long once we were here. A few guardians watching over the cache, one in particular made me laugh. We both completed signing duties, found the information we needed and replaced. The bush bash back to the geomboile wasn't as intense. TFTC!

In light of the current travel restrictions and the requests by regional councils to stay away etc, I am disabling all my caches until the COVID-19 situation has passed and things return back to normal. Please respect this and do not go looking for these caches.
What an enjoyable cache. The containers were hidden in "nice" spots and a nice puzzle to solve. Took us 1.5 hours all up for this cache. Deserves an FP. TFTC

Needing a multi for my challenge Cache, and in the area with the kiddies... I couldn't pass this one up, as it had been unloved for too long... WP1 was spot on, and found it.. nice little surprise... struggled with finding a flat surface. Haha
Coords in Cachly and off we went. GeoBoy got a startle and bumped his head, and Geogirl giggled... nice Multi, favorite point from us.
Cheers

After finally meeting the CO earlier in the week, headed down to do another of his caches today - got to waypoint one with only minor difficulty, solved the puzzle (all pieces present and correct), then had to decide how to reach WP2.
Dropped down to the original track level, then continued on trying to find a way up the cliffline. By the time we were below GZ no obvious candidate had presented itself, so we ended up going along quite a distance below finding a safe-ish way up. From there it was a stroll along the clifftop to the cache, and then back to the car. Much easier, but no where near as much fun as the climb up!

What a great cache! Really enjoyed finding this one during a day out in the area with Delloro. It's super bushland around here with many interesting rock formations and nice views down to the river. We found WP1 with no dramas, and enjoyed solving the puzzle, but if there was an easy way to get to GZ, we didn't find it. It was great fun getting there though, although a little hairy at times! After doing the deeds, we decided to head back a different way, which proved far safer, but not quite as fun of course! We passed the remains of several old buildings on the way back from GZ, and commented that it could be a good place to try a bit of detecting? Thanks Webby for another super cache!

Clearing up our unfounded caches in the area, multi always get left till last or when we have more time. So often they are better and more rewarding like this one. Good day for it and ended up getting a little wet. Had to starch the bikes for the final find. The cache gradient still doing its job, had to give it a poke just the same. Thanks for a great multi.
Went back today set coordinates to wp2 and eventually found cache it felt so good finding this one nicely hidden and guarded we nearly gave up again but stayed and found stick with ur gut on this one it's nice and easy
Found and kids done the puzzle but as we were losing the daylight we had to leave but will return tomorrow to finish it off
Well, we found wp1...don't know what we were doing but that felt like a higher terrain rating than 2.5! Then again, 10 years is pretty likely to alter the landscape... The puzzle is all there and it was completed to find the coords but since we hadn't set out to do this one intentionally today we only had phones so our directions to the cache consisted of a blank page with a target in the middle. We tried making a beeline for the cache but unfortunately that tactic only brought us to a spot we couldn't pass. By then it was getting too late to retrace steps and the kids had grown inpatient so we'll have to return to complete this mission!
Well this took us on an adventure. We went the wrong way coming into waypoint 1, but it did give us a chance to see the crossing and do a bit of freestyle mountain traversing. WP1 was very well hidden...had to get the torch out. Puzzle inside took us a while mainly because we couldn't find somewhere flat to complete it. With WP2 coordinates plugged into GPS we were off on a relatively easy cross country walk through the bush. It took us to a nice area where we eventually found the cache after initially throwing a rock at it to see if the 'cache guardian' was alive. Great cache, a favourite point for us.
It took me a little while to find WP1 but once found I sat on the nearest rock and did the puzzle. Then how to turn it over? thankfully I had something with me that made it easy then off to WP2 and the cache.
I have been working my way along the Georges River looking for caches over the last few weeks and this is another great spot that most would not normally visit. There is an easy walk down to the river to see the remains of the old bridge. I keep looking out for the Koalas along the river but no luck so far. TFTC.

Found It FINALLY!
We first started this cache in 2010ish and after solving the first waypoint the weather started to turn. We left without finishing and then life got in the way lol and today we headed back down the track stopping at WP1 just in case the coords had changed even though it hadnt looked like it.
With everything in order we set off for the final waypoint. About 15-20m from the cache a snake was out catching the midday sun. Left plenty of room for the snake- having provided a long birth for the snake the cache was soon found!!
Probably the happiest this cache has made anyone lol tftc and the adventure a few years in the making lol

We started this one a very very long time ago. Last time we solved a field puzzle and the clouds got dark real quick. U know the sudden summer storm. So we got out before the big downpour and thought we'd be back. Didnt think it would be 4 or more years later lol
Salem was so happy when we finally found it. There was a rather large snake close to the GZ so we were careful and gave it plenty of room. Not too hard and one of those pesky ones crossed off. Tftc

My last cache of the day after completing 4 Traditional's and 3 other multi's.
Easily found the container and set up assembling the puzzle on the sandstone clearing a couple metres east.
Solved the puzzle after approx 15mins amongst the odd mosquito.
At GZ, I spotted a snake, but still able enough to reach in and grab the container, thanks Webby

Our oldest, unfound and active Team Webguy cache.
I had a great adventure getting to WP1. There I had to sit and contemplate another of my hobbies before I headed to GZ.
A little scramble but an easy retrieval even for me.

Usually when I work out a route for a caching expedition, I am over optimistic, and come home with a few not attempted. Amazingly this morning I had nailed 11 others, and this was the last one on the list. Missed a trail heading off the road, and jogged down the road, and had to make a cross-country trek, but not too hard.
Sat down at WP1, and contemplated what approach to take. Lacking anything in my pack to assist, and not having the best manual dexterity, it took a while before I was happy with some co-ords. Looks like ~10 people a year is enough to wear a faint trail.
Signed the log, then it was back to the car, and back to my base on the Northern Beaches, via McDonalds

Great location.
Have been here before, but this time with a bit more time to nut out this cache.
Lots of bush bashing, with 1 or 2 grazes for my effort.
Like WP1 watcher/guard.

Had a good bushbash up to WP1 from the river. Found WP1 in it's hidey hole that seemed to be made for it. Settled down on a rock to solve the puzzle and hoped the wind wouldn't pick up too much more. Was thinking that I would make a strange sight in the unlikely event that somebody came across me out there. Had about 5 pieces to go when I realised I was being closely watched the whole time (see photo).
Eventually finished the puzzle and got the required coordinates.
Another bushbash along the scenic route to WP2. Once at GZ made an easy find on the cache being safely watched over by the cache guardian.
Took nothing, left Chinese chequers.
Took the direct route back to Green Gates and as is always the way, found a track that probably would've taken me pretty close to WP1. But my way was more fun!
Thanks for bringing me to a lovely area that I never would've visited if it wasn't for geocaching.
Awarding a favourite point.

I Have been meaning to cross this one off for a while now. Found WP1 and sat there for a while solving it, then sat there for a while solving it again upside down . Got to the cache and found that it was guarded. I quickly dispatched the guard and signed the log. Took one of the guards eggs as compensation.
Wow, almost a year since someone has done this?? People around here must not like multis? I really loved it! A well set out multi with a nice (nasty) surprise at WP1 and a belly (scary) find at GZ. All you can ask of a multi and proper containers as well.

I was meaning to find this one a while ago but ran out of time.
Now I found myself up to my 500th find and thought that it was time to cross this one off my list.
Great trip Webguy!
But did you have to use THAT for the clue? I spent more time trying to retrieve the coordinates for wp2 than I did solving the puzzle! It is something that one does not prepare for while trekking through the bush.
Took the Cheeky Cachers path tag.

As I wrote it the log: How nice is this area!!!!
Made my way to WP1, got side tracked and went looking at the old timber crossing, very cool.
Arrived at WP1, and sat for a while then off to the final.
Made the find - a great spot (liked the added detail at GZ)
Signed log, It's been 8yrs since it was published, it's always good reading though old logs
Took nothing, Left Pathtag & Marker Pen
TFTC and the wonderful view through this wonderful area!!

Geodad loves aliens so thought he'd enjoy this multi. Turning the puzzle over proved to be hard work but soon after we had the cache in hand. Walked down to the river after. Really nice area, totally worth a visit!
Have never done a Multi before, so it was about time one was added to the stats, so with 'Y' & 'E' at home, 'G' and I headed off to find WP1 and ultimately the alien. After a bit of bush bashing we where soon at WP1 and began the first part of the mission. Mission complete and ready for attack from any alien deffenders, we set off to where the alien was reported to be. Upon arrival at GZ and still after reading other posts, I had to use a stick (yeah yeah, laugh) to make sure and soon had the Cache in hand. Signed the log & stocked it some more then took a small motorbike toy fo 'E'. This gets a favourite from me and is a credit to Team Webguy for a cache that has survived more than seven years. many thanks.
Number 3,000 it doesn’t feel that long ago that I was wondering what Geocaching was all about and we stumbled out and found a first cache. Today I needed a cache with a challenge and being Valentine’s Day a cache that my wife could also enjoy. Upon arriving home this afternoon with a bunch of Red Roses and a break in the stormy afternoon weather I suggested to my wife that we tackle this cache, being not too far away from home and being a multi in an area we have explored previously.
We found WP-1 and set about solving the puzzle, but not deciding on who was Team Leader we both had different ideas on the orientation of the puzzle. Arrh Valentine’s Day “darling I’ll do it your way”. So once that was sorted we soon had it solved, and headed off to GZ.
Arriving at GZ I took a more conservative route and geo-wife went direct, and froze upon finding the cache guardian, and even after I convinced her that it wasn’t real I had the task of retrieving and eventually replacing.
It was great to find a well stocked regular size cache and we made swaps, read logs, watched Black Hawk Chopper’s fly overhead and conversed with an alien.
We spent a lovely hour here, enjoying the bush and the views over the river.
Thanks

What to do when you need a milestone,of course go alien hunting at Roswell. The Geowife came along to protect me from any probing the little grey might have had in mind to do.The alien presence was there and mind control was in use when just as we had the all the pieces of the puzzle put together to the final location a compulsion to turn it over resulted in a total undoing of our hard work, not to be put off and working the puzzle a different way at last we had the location. At GZ the little grey tried to use a holographic image to scare me off but I was only fooled for a second. The cache was opened and logged underthe watchful eyes,I feel for the guy all alone and no way home.A great cache to do for NO 500 but be warned time displacements are in play.

Joined Spindoc on the walk to this cache which I found almost 6 years ago.
I had some evil fun telling Spindoc that there was a devious puzzle to solve at wp 1. "I thought it was a simple offset!" he replied in dismay.
Cache still in good condition and well stocked.

This has one of those caches that has been on the 'to do' list for way too long - since I moved to Sydney in 2006 actually.
The walk to WP1 was fairly easy, but in true Webguy style there was a little bit of off-trail walking and the odd rock ledge to navigate over. The puzzle inside WP1 made me laugh. With some assistance from Damo. I solved it despite having one piece missing. After recording the required details, we put the puzzle away. We then discovered that there was one piece still on the rock - where I'd been sitting. Needless to say, the puzzle still has all 50 pieces.
The walk to GZ was fairly simple, but the reward was huge. What a bounty of riches. The alien was also in there, despite his commander going AWOL a few years ago. Also collected two
This a great, classic cache and deserving of more visitors. *Recommended*

Had this one on the 'to do' list for ages.
It turned out to be a pleasant stroll in the bush, and the puzzle at wpt1 was done in some very tranquil surroundings.
On to wpt2 for a typical Webguy type of hide and cache container, thanks Webby.

we found the first waypoint and solved the puzzle as a star wars fan i loved the puzzle and it was a great hide but unfortunatly we ran out of time looking for the final cache of this great multi.using our enginuity we found a great way to get the clue off the puzzle tftc part one am looking forward to finding part 2 on another day
Having a short amount of time after the planned cches for the day Salem and Rios decided to hunt an alien! Lol having found WP1 and solved the puzzle (hoping the alien species is NOT related to the puzzle!) we simply ran outta time. So with co ords to WP2 recorded we headed out... Will return when we have another spare day. TFT great start to a multi!
A pleasant morning to Geocache, great idea for a multi. Good to see some thought put into a hide, thanks for the fun.
Wow, what a cache, loved the idea at wp1, was quite fun but hard to do at its gz, but we managed never the less. This one hadnt been found in over 6 months so we thought we'd give it a go. In the end it was fairly easy. Got quite a fright at the cache GZ. TFTC
I found the first way point the day before, but as the sun was going down i had to come back because there was no way i could solve the puzzle before it got dark. Came back with little bro and found the second way point today. Great walk with a cool view of the river, and i think the gates where the land becomes army territory.

WOW!! Heading towards 2 years since this one was last done? Does nobody chase aliens anymore??
I've been meaning to do this one in the alien outpost series for a while. Had a chance today as it was an RDO. Well WP1 was a lot of fun. Hmmm. Not much I can say about this one except @%%#$**^*&@!#$ !!!!!! Before long I was on my way to GZ thankfully the rain held off till this one was completed and I was back in the car. The cache was well hidden and was quite dry. I have recorded all the relevant infomation. Took TB to move on and took car mini game set for the kids Left snake set. TFTCSL
Got WP1 alright but the GPS would not cooperate for the cache. Mrs bloopy led a wild goose chase up hill and down dale. Eventually we made it to GZ in a lot longer time than we should have! Dropped off Castrol TB. Took the geek.
Had a bit of a time problem with WP1, but got there finally, and off to the GZ which we found easily enough. Thanks webguy.
My first multi cache - not as hard as I thought it may be, but did struggle a bit at WP1. Nice area. Thanks Webguy.
This is our second in the Alien Series of caches, and it was an enjoyable effort in an area totally unknown by us. The first waypoint was a bit of a pain, but we got there finally. The problem was the encroaching darkness as we unpacked the mystery of WP1. Just when all seemed lost, and we were reaching for our torches, we cracked it, and pressed on to WP 2. We found it easily enough. We hurriedly copied the secret code and got out just as the sun set. TNLN. Thanks Webguy - we'll get 'em all done in the end I expect.

I had a quick look for WP1 before lunch but no luck.I tried again after lunch and found WP1 no problem. GZ was soon located and the goal found. great fun for my first multi.
Nice view of the old river crossing bridge.

Had our something flat to assist with WP1 - we'd wondered when we'd come across something like this as part of a cache and why were we not surprised as to who's cache it turned out to be. As it happens, Lady Altaire is a dab hand at these and in a blur of flashing fingers the thing was done and course was set for the target planet. Both spots are a delight to be at - especially on a warm summer's day like this. Sandstone cliffs and rock formations and a bush clad river valley yonder - magic. No spiders, scorpions, mozzies or march flies - another good reason to cache on a weekday. Our interest is piqued by this Alien Outpost series and as time drifts on by we'll make a point of focussing the detectors on their particular warp signatures when we happen to be in the vicinity. Made no swaps today. Thanks Webguy - your usual high standard cache.
The Supreme Commander dropped by for an inspection as was impressed with how the Roswell project was going.
Flush with siccess from my visit to Fear, I decided to head to this cache. I had a bit of trouble finding the correct entrance but soon solved that problem. The countryside heading towards WP1 is very nice open woodland, which makes a change from the full-on scrub bashing you sometimes have to do.
The puzzle at WP1 was soon solved and the co-ords obtained.
GZ soon couched up it's secrets and after a brief mind scan of the Grey the required info was retrieved.
Thanks Webguy for bringing me to this place.

What a great adventure. Enjoyed the walk and got to Waypoint one without too much trouble. something flat would have been useful (note to self: PAY ATTENTION TO THE HINTS).
Then onto the final cache location. The commander passed on a garbled message then it was out of there the direct way, across the top.
Thanks for a great cache.
Swapped a Geo-coin and bolted with the Nuts TB
Left: Rot 13 Geo Coin and Novelty coasters
The caches are all in good condition however the final cache is almost overflowing with some good swaps.

First of nine finds on my first day in Sydney for this trip. Three down, one to go. This cache is why I drove over 45km to this area. I was travelling light--just a bum bag for swaps and my backup Garmin GPSr (left the Magellan at home ). I found WP1 after a short search--great hiding spot. I settled down to do what had to be done. I first did a count; all OK. Fortunately, I had brought a notepad with me to copy down the alien glyphs. I extracted the final coordinates, did a recount to ensure that all was still in order, and set off to GZ. The batteries in the GPSr died with 22m to go! Aaarrgghh! If only I weren't travelling light!
Fortunately, I knew the right direction, so I proceeded 20m or so and started looking. At first I dismissed the hiding spot, but a closer look a couple of minutes later revealed the large cache at 1510. Phew! I left the Gathering Nuts TB and a Selective Availability Geocoin. Thanks to Team Webguy for the cache. Once again, I really enjoyed the UFO story. AO#2 (and hopefully the final cache) is on the agenda for my next trip to Steak and Kidney.
IN: Mondo figure (England 1650)
OUT: No Man's Land lapel pin

The Third cache on my Alien Outpost Blitz. By the time I arrived here, it was well into the afternoon, and quite hot. During the hike in, I thought "I'm a geocacher, I can leave stuff here on a rock, and find it again on my way out" - Brilliant! I saved a waypoint and left my heavy leather jacket and helmet behind.
Found WP1, fortunately without finding any scorpions, and completed the puzzle before continuing on to find the cache.
I then discovered that I had marked the cursor position, not my position and now had no idea where I had left my gear, because I know it wasn't on the other side of the river! Re-found my original track and followed it back to WP1 and on to my gear. Think I'll have to practice a bit more before I begin hiding caches.
I wonder why I never spent time here as a kid, despite living nearby - Instead spending scores of days in the Blue Mountains.

Nice cool morning, and didn't even need the bug repellent. WP2 was a lot quicker and easier. The grey was strangely silent, and made no attempt to stop us from gathering the required information. Signed the log - left a magnetic chess & checkers game, and took the metal cup. TFTH and TFTC Team Webguy!

Found WP1 and put the puzzle together. We probably looked comical sitting in the bush, working on a puzzle while swatting away the biting flies (forgot the bug spray!). It was getting hot and lunch was calling, so we'll need to come back to look for WP2. TFTH Team Webguy!
this was our fifth one for the day and unfortunately I had to return the next day as Id left my GPS behind. Luckily we had a flat surface big enough for what needed to be done. I guess the force was with us!
Puzzles, puzzles and puzzles, I love them with a passion. Even with on e of the first finders along with me I still had to sit and do the puzzle, then it was onto GZ where the cache revealled itself. Swapped a car for some chalk and we were on our way to the next one.
Thanks Webby

An interesting multi and our first component of the Alien Outpost series.
Waypoints found and puzzle solved without incident...
Re-stashed waypoints that appeared to have been left in an un-webguy like manner by a previous finder...
All co-ords were fine.
Took - Mini ball compass
Left - Sunblock
Cheers!

Third cache of the day, put the coordinates into the GPSr earlier in the week and forgot this was a multi-cache. Got to gz with the sky darkening, found wp1 and was supprised at what I had to do, anyway I piece it together (excuse the pun). Put in the coordinates to wp2 and discovered it was close by so I got there before night fell.
Now THAT was a suprise!
my Mate sat on a rock above , with his dog, saying HURRY UP!HURRY UP! with allthe stress of the "Problem" and the insesent urgings, A.D. and I struggled with WP1,the sweat cascading down our foreheads, Lucky we brought something big and flat, mission complete we forged onto the Prize and the little devil was ours only, again, to be foiled that we could not unravel the Evil Alien Plan of conquest.
Thankyou for your attempt to save the earth, we shall succeed!

What an adventure. Got W/P 1 easy, one quick look and I thought I was doing a Mind Socket cache. At 05.30 on an August morning was not a good time to unravel this problem but it soon fell into place, it was so cold I noticed a couple of brass monkeys looking for something. Both cache and W/P1 coordinates were spot on. Took nothing from a very well stocked cache, left Hydroflare's Wizard T/B. Can't wait to finish this great cache. Well done Team Wedguy. Regards Philma.

My final cache for the day after SWAG agg left earlier, having less important things to attend to. I figured I would probably not get another chance to do this one for a long time so had to give it a go.
When I parked the car it was already well and truly dark so I grabbed the torch, GPS and a packet of chips because it was past dinner time.
WP1 was found pretty quickly, but I soon discovered that it's a bit hard trying to use both hands and hold a Mag Lite at the same time. After a bit of mucking about I set off for WP2 while the forest was making spooky noises around me.
The cache was found, the log was signed and travel bug taken. A satisfying end to a long day's caching.
Thanks Webguy.

OK, we finally managed to get back down here and re-rig WP1 with co-ordinates that should be closer than the previous. Thanks to those who sent through new co-ords.
Third attempt at finding a cache, went without notes, did so on the last two attempts too. Nice spot. This adds a new dimension to taking photos of the wilderness. Good stuff, thanks for cache... Geoff Wise... www.wises.com.au
While I was in the area to complete “Riverviewâ€, my GPSr indicated that this cache was not far away. I set out without a printout or any clues, and what an adventure I had. I had a great time decoding WP1. It was a little bizarre performing this task in the wilderness. It was quite difficult without the right equipment. Once the coordinates were at hand I proceeded to GZ. As previously reported, the coordinates were a little out (approx 15m according to my GPSr).
The cache was in good condition and well stocked.
Took a Scarf
Left: Screwdriver, Shopping List Pad & Key Ring Compass
I unfortunately boomeranged the Boomerang Koala TB. (I didn’t realise that he had already visited this cache). Now I know where the little Koala got his name.
I will return soon to move the TB to a new location unless someone retrieves it first.
Thanks for a great cache Team Webguy.
Now I will have to complete the rest of the series.

After a slow start to the day we headed south to finally finish Alien Outpost. This was the first on the list.
We set off down the path and Twisties the arrow man said "lets go that way", because i knew best after looking at the maps i said "no, we will stick to the main one." Mistake!
It was a lovely walk down to the water with a few people swimming, i wanted to get in so bad as the weather was great. After realising the error in my ways we had to head up to get to the cache.
Twisties led the way and after a bit of climbing we found WP1, we really enjoyed the clue for GZ and it was a good chance to rest. On now to GZ, knowing how cunning Webby can be we searched far far back in every dark dark hole.
I eventually found it, and the ole guardian spider is still there. We swapped TB's and then got the hell out of Roswell and onto the next one.

The smell of death permeated the air at WP1, while the blowies hung around hoping for an easy feed.
Flat places were at a premium here today, but I spun my Wheels until they got Hot.
My GPS clicked down to 0m at the cache, so the co-ords are spot on.
Took Aussie sticker.
Left Mini-Karabiner.
Thanks again Webbie.

Found by Pi and XU9J4 at 10:30(ish)am.
I came down to have a look at WP1 yesterday but after arriving I realised that I didn't have time to solve the problem so a return visit was required (which is no problem as this location is close to home). XU9J4 was available today so we arranged a joint assault for this morning. I returned with a tool to help solve the problem at WP1 and it worked out nicely. The mozzies were enormous.
With coordinates worked out it was off to the cache. We found the cache easy enough once we adjusted our search area for the error in cache coords. We found the coords to be 14mtrs out. After averaging GZ for 20mins the GPSr crept back to 13mtrs (I will send you the coordinates that we got for GZ). As stated by Tangles there are a couple of search areas and we luckily picked the right one. Cache retrieval was no problem but while putting it back I got a nasty gash on my finger that bled a lot and hurt, oh well just part of the fun of caching. The March flies are enormous so bring some insect repellent, their bites really sting.
20 odd mtrs east of the cache is a rock outcrop, from here you get a really good view (south) of this locations prominent historical feature. When I was a kid you use to be able to drive all the way down there, park the car and have a swim. Unfortunately the number of idiots around these days has made such pleasures impossible. Enough rambling.

Early morning and the day was already heating up nicely. We solved the problem at WP1, using one hand for the problem and one hand for the mosquitos. So we were away and proceeded towards the location. The only hurdle… spiders and plenty of them. It’s not that I have a fear of spiders, I just don’t like them. The cache is full of goodies, and well hidden, it’s even protected by the world’s ugliest spider.
Heed my warning, beware the files of March.

After having a lazy morning Mr McPodie noticed this new set of caches at about lunch. So after a late start to the day Odee McPodie set out on a mission with Mrs McPodie in tow. Got to this, our first in the Alien Outcast series, without too much trouble, the co-ords for WP2 were a little out but within minutes we had the cache in our hot little hands. And so we logged our first in the series at about 1:30pm. As we were on a mission and did not want to be weighed down we swapped TB's but we took nothing else and left nothing else. Now onto the rest of the caches!!!

Meanwhile in S.H.A.D.O. HQ Commander Straker is yelling at some poor sod demanding the location of the UFO while in the background a female officer walks through wearing a body hugging one piece uniform. Straker orders moon base to red alert which causes Lt Ellis to change into her micro mini skirt and orders the interceptors to launch. The interceptors only destroy two of the UFO’s the remaining one is heading to earth so Skydiver 1 is placed on alert. The crew of Skydiver all wear fishnet tops and the male crew wear nothing underneath. The one female crew is a tease as you never get close enough to see if she is wearing something under her fishnet top. Skydiver is launched and shoots down the last UFO and Straker yells at everyone that they should have done better.

WP2 co-ordinates appeared to be around 16 metres out and placed us in between two likely search areas.

My appologies for the co-ords being out so much. I will try and get back down there as soon as we can to replace WP1, though, this may not be for a week or more. So, please, do the best you can but do not post final GZ co-ords. Though, you are welcome to email them to me.
