Out on a gorgeous day with carmlee1, quick find after a great day doddling around this park

11-Oct-24
Perfect weather for a day cache adventuring with doddlingalong. Today, meandering around the parks of Narre Warren. Thankyou for the multi with some great animal facts. TFTC.

09-Oct-24
Found it , found all in good order. I have enjoyed coming out this way to find all these caches. Tftc

06-Oct-24
Had a great time with this one - grabbed the waypoints in between the River Gum Creek series. Our pen died so we ran to the shops and grabbed a new one to log this cache. Fantastic to see ten whole years of finds on the logbook! Thanks for a great multi.

03-Jul-24
Found with icw who did most of the legwork to gather the numbers. I noticed many other delightful sculptures in this creek reserve. Tftc.

03-Jul-24
Found with thank you for the pleasant walk.

04-Apr-24
Today I was in the area to drop my son to a friend's wedding close by. I headed out on the bike to find some of the River Gum Creek series and this multi too. Collecting the information in an anticlockwise direction meant then backtracking to GZ. Thank goodness for the bike or I'd have run out of time. A bit of poking around required before spotting the well tucked away container. All in good condition. TFTC Team Crackers

I needed to find a multi cache today in order to fill in a missing calendar date for [RoamingHowie's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=24963346-56c5-4daf-8308-a01f60f5a5ba&wid=6a725450-9b6f-4892-abca-126a7026759c&ds=2) [WCW - 95% Multi Calendar Challenge (GC9Z59M)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9Z59M) and so after work I opened up [Cachly](https://www.cachly.com/) to see what nearby multi caches I still had unfound, when I spotted this one. I have found a few other caches in the **"Wooden Work"** series previously, and they have always been fun. So when I saw this one, I decided to make it the target for the day.Of course, it wasn't until I arrived at the posted coordinates that I properly read the cache page and saw the recommendation to "take along your pushbike." This is the type of cache that I would have loved to done on bike or even enjoyed the long walk. However, I forgot my caching clothes at home and so I was still in my work clothes and with the heat today there was no way I was going to be able to make the walk in my work clothes without keeling over. So I ended up doing this one in the geomobile. I had a lot of fun exploring today and seeing all of the carvings. At each location the information was easily obtained and after having gathered all the required information, I quickly calculated the coordinates for GZ. It was then back in the geomobile for one last stop. Once I arrived at GZ I ended struggling a bit and had to make a few laps around before eventually the cache was found and the logbook signed. A big thanks goes to [Team Crackers](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=3e759bb5-6c22-465a-adbd-913815d537ab&wid=21fbf698-6686-4a5b-88a2-e6dc9985364e&ds=2) for the fun and interesting multi cache. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**All of the information at each of the waypoints were in good shape and the writing still legible. The cache container at GZ was in good shape and the inner contents were nice and dry. The logbook was clean with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

Came to check out this trail, which didn't really offer much so thought why not do an old.multi here to make things more interesting. Struggled with the final, however a previous photo helped! Thanks for the tour here Crackers!

06-Feb-24
Did the cache on foot was a good multi and my first in a while, picked up TB TFTC

27-Jan-24
Was a bit hard to sign the frog I mean log Found this cute frog as well as the cache and signed the log, but not the frog

16-Jan-24
We gathered the clues for this one way back in 2022 but rather than backtrack on our walk left it for the next time we were in the area. Today was the day! TFTC

25-Jul-23
I enjoyed gathering the clues for this multi whilst doing the River Gum Creek trail over a couple of visits. Luckily my calculations gave me a sensible GZ! I back-tracked a little bit in the car to collect this one. There were a few objects matching the hint but I got there in the end. Love finding an nice old multi. Thanks.

11-Jun-23
Very cool trip around the suburb, and cache was found in good condition. Tftc

09-Jun-23
A Golden Oldie
Took the option of driving to the various waypoints today given the cold, windy conditions
Info gathered and revised waypoint calculated before heading off to GZ
Cache located after a brief search
All in good condition. Log signed and returned as found
Pleased to complete another in the series
Many thanx to Team Crackers

21-Apr-23
I need a better hint

20-Apr-23
I had come over to here to do the *power trail* of **River Gum Creek** caches... and as that route took me past all the way points of this cache, naturally I included them in my walk. As so it was that at the end of a long day's walking and caching, I was hunting around in the bush at GZ looking for this cache... quite a straight forward find.

Thanks **Team Crackers** for the cache... and for keeping it alive for such a long time.

14-Apr-23
Such an enjoyable multi. Love that it's an oldie and spot on coordinates gave us a quick find. A fabulous for us for so many reasons

20-Mar-23
Another of Team Crackers Wooden Works caches was close to where we got pizza for dinner tonight . I always have fun exploring these caches and this was no exception. The sculptures are looking a bit tattered, but have a bit more character, I expect. Luckily the information plaques are still intact. Thanks for another great Wooden Work cache.

07-Mar-23
One of the statues had disappeared the first time I went to collect this cache, and I couldn't get a complete set of coords. Since then, this has been on the back burner. As I'm currently on a mission to collect as many older caches as possible, I returned to give it another crack. Thanks for updating the info, and now I had a solid set of coords to go from.

The cache was found without too many troubles and was in the spot, as described by the hint. The garden has been given a tidy-up, and thankfully the cache avoided being collected by the council. After signing the log, I returned to my car only to discover someone doesn't know how to clean up after their dog!!

After a few scrapes on the grass, I set off for the next adventure. Thanks for placing this one here.

20-Dec-22
This is an old log we forgot to post. We had a great time completing this multi. Great sculptures. Thanks Team Crackers

28-Sep-22
This was a fun and creative find!

Nice fun one to get back in to the swing after a few years off and now with an extra tagging along even if she slept in the car the whole time.

12-Jun-22
Fun find!

13-May-22
Solved this multi quite some time ago and came yesterday on my way home from work to find. Cache all in good order. Thanks for the adventure around this parkland & TFTC

21-Dec-21
Decided to head out to do some caching during some much needed leave. I headed to this area to do the caching trail and this one was on the way. I enjoyed visiting the different way points and getting the information needed. It ended up being a nice straightforward find at GZ, though I did poke around a little to make sure there were no other 'visitors' in the vicinity of the cache. TFTC Team Crackers

19-Dec-21
We came past here today to do a check and happy to say all is good.
The area is a bit overgrown at the moment but the cache is still right where it should be.

18-Dec-21
Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.

Today I was lucky enough to be out and about so I targeted this cache.

Multis are usually not my thing, so it wasn't surprising to me to find a lot in my found database that hadn't been logged.

Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!

Thanks Team Crackers (F=34024 H=156) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

Our 500th find

07-Jul-21
Out with xambo4u, we had a chilly start to a full day of caching with no DNFs. Once we had finished the trail we returned a little foot-sore but happy.
We saw all the different wooden creatures on our way around the trail and collected the appropriate clues on the way. A great little multi with easy find.
Thanks Team Crackers

07-Jul-21
Out and about with echidna44 for a great day of caching clearing out series around the park here. While we did the walk we picked up the clues and made the find. Cache in good condition. Thanks for the cache Team Crackers

20-Jun-21
Today I decided to come and bring my bike for some caches around here, the lockdown is over for now so I thought I better make the most of it. Sunny day too, had a nice ride on my bike around this circuit. I enjoyed finding each point of interest and gathering the clues. Easy calculations lead me to a great resting place where I had to wait for a few muggles to pass before venturing in to make the find and sign the log.
Thanks for the adventure.

15-Jun-21
We enjoyed our wander around this 'multi path' and discovering the characters along the way.
The cache was found in good condition safely tucked away.
Thanks Team Crackers for getting us outside for some fresh air.
Chiefton!!!

So much fun on this one, our first Premium search

08-May-21
A multi yay. Lucky five came into play, or else there would have been some back tracking

A lovely morning to get out on the bikes with atsmug.
Gathered all the clues as we rode around collecting caches. Some very cute sculptures!
Arrived at gz, opened cache and curious to find 2 logbooks - one in another container within. Signed the original log and returned to its hidey spot.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Team Crackers

Awesome day of caching filled with heaps of laughter and caching fun.

25-Apr-21
Spiffy- my geopartner and I headed out Hallam way for a bike and scooter ride. The rain never really came and instead a nice sunny day.

I enjoy these wooden work multis and this was another well done cache. Collected clues on our travels and a quick find at GZ. All in good condition.

Thanks to Team Crackers for the placement and fun.

27-Feb-21
So this was our very first Multi. Didnt find it the first time round. But tried it again today 8 moths later and finally found it. Were were in the right place but just didn't have the skills back then to find it. We had a great time finding the clues and finally finding this cache. Thanks for the great adventure. TFTC.

27-Dec-20
My first multi thank you for the find
With jonosgames

27-Dec-20
Thanks for this multi! It’s the first we have found and really enjoyed learning about all the critters who call our backyard home Smile left some treasures for the next searchers.

27-Dec-20
This multi maybe targeted for kids, but us big kids got a hell of a kick out of it. We drove to each waypoint, collecting the information required, then waited for ages at GZ for a family to move along the path. They finally left and we had the cache in hand.

Thanks Team Crackers for an enjoyable multi. Great to see these old caches still up and running.

30-Oct-20
Covid-19 restrictions are now lifted and Geocaching is allowed so it is back on line.

02-Aug-20
Due to the new Covid 19 restrictions Geo Caching is not a reason to be out so we are disabling our caches untill safe to enable again.
Please stay home and be Safe.

21-Jun-20
Will have another look later

Find 2387
A nice multi that we enjoyed. The info at each waypoint made some interesting reading. The clues were obtained and the cals made for GZ. The search here took some time as the grass was quite long and there were quite a few hidden spots. Eventually the cache was spotted. Log signed and all back safe again.
Thanks Team Crackers

01-Mar-20
Another day another cache I suppose, after a rather big day out caching yesterday on the rather rare leap day, so with the desire to do a somewhat older cache/ multi to do. So this was the obvious choice for me. Getting to meet all the friendly characters on this journey was interesting and soon enough the final was in my hands. Thanks for the cache and the mini-adventure.

01-Jan-20
Some short drives but soon got all the details and headed to the final location to make the find. Tftc

Find #10525

There is a bit of a story behind today's caching run. Back in June, I was in Scotland and I signed a challenge cache that required me to find 20 multi caches in a single day. I initially thought I had qualified on a caching run a couple of years back in Geelong, but upon running the checker I discovered I was 4 short. Fast forward to today, quite carefully planned out was November multi Madness day.

This smiley was a long time in coming, I had worked out the final GZ back in 2012, but was unable to locate the cache. Fast forward 7 years and I am back for a Very quick find. Wink

Many thanks to Team Crackers for the cache. TNLN.

Big things are continuing to happen! *Are you joining the fun again in 2019?*

Really lovely little series of caches. Great to see such a lovely spaces available for running and bike riding. Did this one by car that would be much more challenging on the bike. Cache in great condition even though there is lots of rubbish in the area it was found. TFTC

01-Apr-19
The day after coming back from Tasmania I decided that I needed to have a bit of a walk and take in some wooden sculptures. All went swimmingly although I'd mention that you ought to stand a distance back from the second last sculpture because ants have invaded it well and truly to the point where they were still active a couple of metres away.
Cache was found after a short search. Thanks for the fun, Team Crackers.

*25 Feb 2019, Found @3:39 pm, Find # 2500.*

I have been wanting to do this cache for some time now and thought today would be a good day. What I didn’t plan on though was being in the area during school pick up time. I had to wait for a few minutes for a few school kids to pass before I could sign the log. A fun multi, I enjoyed visiting each and every animal sculpture.

**Thanks to Team Crackers for placing this cache.**

#1554 - 4.55pm
I was out this way looking for my cache of the day. At first, I thought it was too warm a day to go traipsing around distances for this multi.
But as I had the time, I put on my big boy pants and toughed it out... in my car, lol.
Simultaneously, my distant Love was snowed in half a world away and 'virtually' accompanied me on the journey. She was particularly amused by the intentionally childish descriptions of our Australian fauna. Smile

Thanks to 999Hunter for pointing out Gary and Edna are not being renewed but have been replaced with a Medicine Wheel.
The page has been updated to show this.

01-Dec-18
found it with my mum and dad signed it with my dad 999hunter

We went on a walk in the night and found the information. I found the cache before dad Smile

01-Dec-18
With it being a stinking hot day, we decided not to go for a family geocaching walk. But after dropping off the boys, the last in this area, dusk was approaching. So the girls and myself thought we were go for a stroll to get this one. The temperature was dropping and we got back to the car in the dark and it was certainly cool then.

We didn't do this in order and we never found 'Gary and Edna', but there was an Aboriginal Season of Life Wheel which was interesting.

After working out where the final was, we had another long walk to get to it. With the missing last number, we had a few places to check and I was given the place with the rubbish. My daughter soon found the cache however.

Thanks for the cache Team Crackers

21-Nov-18
After some quick shopping (it’s a wonder I managed to live through that task) I headed here to have a go at the multi. As others have said, one bird had changed, but the cache is still findable. There was quite a few muggles around today, so I had to wait at GZ for a while before diving in for the cache I had spotted. Thanks so much for placing this multi cache Team Crackers

06-Oct-18
Collected the various clues over a period of a few weeks. Found last piece of the puzzle today as well as the cache. Had to move away a little from GZ to sign log to avoid being swarmed by the ants!

19-Sep-18
Find #4559

Had a rare spare weekday afternoon and decided to target a few caches on the Hallam Bypass Trail and nearby. I think I have been subconsciously avoiding multis for a while so I decided to head to this in an area where I had found most of the other caches around it. A good fun multi with no problems getting the information at each waypoint. I realised too late that there was nothing to find at the last one but as others said it is still findable (without the last digit of decimal easting minutes) along a 20m line. Having said that I spent a while checking the wrong spot (that matched the hint) before adjusting and quickly making the find. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the multi cache Team Crackers.

01-Aug-18
What a beautiful morning to get out of the house and go caching! After all the wind and rain we've had lately I needed something to make me smile. Ive put off doing this multi for a while knowing it would take longer than some, so today I set off with confidence and excitement and it did not let me down. Meeting the lovely characters and reading their story was lovely. Didnt bother with Gary and Edna, didnt think they would be back anytime soon anyway. The co-ords I got were almost spot on and the hint made it even easier (or I would still be looking haha).
Thankyou so much for the fun and adventure Team Crackers.
Highly recommended **** Fav point from me.

08-Jul-18
Heading out to do The Slog series with n0w0rries and our Geomutts, EveTheStaffy and MaxTheCollie.
We couldn't possibly drive past a Wooden Work cache.
All waypoints were visited, although Gary and Edna proved a bit elusive. (I bet 50 cents we could work it out in their absence.)
With the final coordinates calculated, the trip to GZ was made. (We had suspected this was our destination.)
Cache in good order and I was happy to collect 312 unloved days as well.
First of five multicaches today.
Thanks for the cache Team Crackers.

08-Jul-18
A small diversion after dropping our Son's trailer off nearby.
With +Wife at the wheel and me navigating, we set off to Slog around the Nar Nar Goon area.
A comment was made as we drove past WP2 Wink but we headed to the posted coordinates anyway.
Visiting the menangerie as we cruised the streets, collecting useful bits of information along the way.
Interestingly, a comment was also made as we passed by what turned out to be our final destination.
We dropped in to The Medicine Wheel for a visit but our hosts were nowhere to be seen.
Extraction fifty cents from +Wife's purse, we tossed the coin and came up with a useful solution.
At GZ we were pleasantly surprised to spread some love.
A most excellent beginning to our adventures today.
Thank you very much Team Crackers.

01-Sep-17
Today we explored Narre Warren and surrounds using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. This was a great multi, enjoyed the tour around the area checking our the native friends in the field. An easy find at GZ.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

13-Jun-17
Fun looking for the different animals. Gary and Edna have vanished though which is a shame. Helen the heron will give you a value for F. You'll spot her on the way to the missing Gary and Edna. TFTC

13-Jun-17
This was fun& we visited several freinds with interesting stories to tell. We looked high and low for Gary and Edna but no luck. The seemed to of moved away We did find Helen the heron and she was very usefull

With Zedaycee and Angelique Anja.

13-Jun-17
Its cache of the day time again and we decided to hit a multi!

Had a lovely time going around looking for Nat, Rocky and Eddie! Though it would appear that Gary and Edna have flown North for the winter! However, Helen the Heron was more than happy to tell us her story and give us a good value for F. We soon had the cache in hand and the log signed!

09-Jun-17
This is 1 of 9 caches left in our 10K zone, 4 are D4.5 plus, 3 are long distance caches, and I have no idea why we haven't tackled this one sooner, it may be gary and Edna's fault. Anyhow today was the day, quick drive to start point, I forgot to read the bit where it said walk between waypoints so I drove. Got all the answers accept for the delinquent Gary and Edna, but fortunately I still got the GPS to point within a metre of the final cache, which was quickly signed and returned.

TFTC

07-Jun-17
In Melbourne today for work, I showed up for an appointment with a husband and wife to find them a no-show. Frustrated at lost income and wasted time, I decided to finally get myself on the leaderboard with some unlove and this multi was the nearest option.
I found the first clue easily enough and was glad that the muggles mowing the lawns stayed away, then the second and third clues fell into place but clue four was elusive. I suspect this is the reason the cache has become unloved - the pair of wooden works are no longer at the coordinates; there's an ugly metal sign instead. I asked some passers-by if they were regular users of the park and if they knew where the wooden works may have been moved to, but they were just freaked out by my oddness I think and were unhelpful.
After all the clue-collecting work, I was determined and just plugged in some good-looking numbers which led me back to something I'd noticed before.....promising!
I hurtled down there, tried first in one place and then another using the hint. Finally, the third place I peered came up with the goods and a lovely log not signed since August 16. Happy day! TFTC Team Crackers and for showing me some cool wooden works.

13-Aug-16
Found Rocky and Eddy but I think Garry has flown the coup with Edna , had
enough numbers to complete the job. Thanks Team Crackers FTC.

26-Jun-16
This was the first stop for the day on Sunday. Not as a result of extensive research; just because of the general allure of the yellow icon. The various wooden items were located with ease and each gave up the required information in a jiffy. Apart from Garry and Edna. I couldn't see Garry and Edna. I saw a metallic sign at the given coordinates, but that's about it. Consulting the instructions I decided I could probably make do without their contribution so went for a stroll based on the information I already had. Pleasingly the cache revealed itself quite quickly. Thanks once more Team Crackers!

06-Apr-16
Out and about for the day chasing up bits and pieces and just had the urge for a cache, even with the rain.
Drove and parked and grabbed all the waypoint info before heading off to the GZ for a quick find. Rained the whole way and I was surprised not to find a wooden duck along the way.
**Thanks for the distraction and the cache Team Crackers**

21-Feb-16
A car travel between wp's ended at final destination and a find. Geodaughter grabbed the necklace. Thanks T.C.

18-Feb-16
Ok so last waypoint missing, but can work it out without the last number... You just might have to walk a few meters. TFTC, another lonely cache to add to my collection.

08-Nov-15
We followed the waypoints and picked up the information required. If you didn't make a cache out of it we would have otherwise just driven by thinking "that's nice", so thank you for highlighting the plaques on the back of each of them.

Got to the final waypoint and realised something was missing, so checked logs and got an idea. Not that it was too critical to finding GZ.

This is a nice little series. Thanks Team Crackers!

21-Sep-15
Seems as garry and edna have decided up up and leave explains no finds for a while shame really seemed like a cool cache maybe next time

21-Sep-15
Out on the hunt while this crap weather sets in hitting a few mulitis and whatever else comes along the way with andy707.

21-Sep-15
Ok so funny story i logged the NM then me and the geobrother get back in the car and i start to read the logs so i punch i figure into google and boom had the co ords in hand. By the looks of things me and the geobrother are the first to find in a while too

12-Apr-15
That was fun Smile

26-Dec-14
Found after a family Boxing Day get together. TFTC

26-Dec-14
Found all of the numbers needed up to WP F. Came to the conclusion that the missing Edna was probably an echidna. Based on that I plugged the number into the GPS and soon found the cache.

Found this one with the whole crew.

17-Dec-14
**replaced the log** Out and about today running Christmas errands with Geo daughter and I came across this multi. I had read it through it once before and was put off knowing one of the clues at one of the WP's were missing. I gave it a go today anyway as I'm a big fan of the CO. So I collected clues by driving to the WP's I met the whole crew what a good looking bunch they are! As I suspected one WP was missing - as the last cacher to log before me said it is **** still possible to complete this cache*** there is only one missing number and if you use caching sense the cache is very findable. As previously logged the log book has seen better days. I left a new log in a film canister in the original cache. TFTC Team Crackers SL left a new log took a Zebra * A fav point from us I can't understand how it hasn't got any fav points!

Today the weather was quite good and the kids had finished all their activities for the weekend so I asked who wanted to go caching and they all stayed and played iPad games so I went out by myself.
I drove around and managed to collect all the clues except for clue F but that didn't matter it just gave me a slightly bigger search strip at the final GZ.
Once at GZ the cache was found matching the hint but the lid had come off and snails or slugs had eaten nearly all but a few of the log book pages so I signed what was left and tidied up the cache a bit and returned it to its hiding place.
Cache is still very doable even without clue F so get out there and do it. It's a great little multi especially if the kids had come with me! >:-(
Thanks Team Crackers for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

24-Oct-14
Apologies. Had no connection/battery when we found this & forgot to write a note & "send ' later! APPRECIATE the cache as always!

11-May-14
This one has been off line too long so even though the shire has not yet finished the upgrade works they were going to do we will put it back online and see what happens in the future.

10-Apr-14
We are still waiting to see if the council is going to return the missing info.

We can not do anything until after the Mega now so we will rejig it if nothing has been done by the.

Sorry for the delay

02-Feb-14
We came here today after a very busy christmas and founf the container missing.
Also one of the plaques was missing so we will rework the puzzle and find a new hide and get it back on line soon.

23-Jan-14
Found it but no register. Still a nice walk.

19-Jan-14
Out today introducing friends to geocaching. Picked up the clues a-e was easy to find but f has gone. No carving there at all. Thought we still find it as it was only the last letter. Gave the area a good going over and checked the clue. No luck at all

Heading home after a good day visiting farms in Gippsland, I had to kill approx 45 minutes waiting for the local Chinese takeaway to open. What better way to kill time than to grab a couple of caches.

Had worked out GZ with Campbell during the August Challenge, but was unsuccessful in finding the cache in failing light. This time I made my way to GZ and made the quick discovery.

Thanks for the cache Team Crackers!!!

Find #428

Well this one took some finding. Easily the best hidden container I've encountered thus far.
My thanks to Team Crackers for breathing new life into this geocache. This is the second of the "Wooden Work" series for me so I have lots to go to complete the series. SL TNLN TFTC

Cache was in place all the time.
Good to go again.

We came back today and had the area to our selves and headed off to replace the container.
Once at GZ we found the original sill safe and sound in its proper location.
Perhaps a bit better search or a DNF instead of a needs maintenance log may have been better, that way others may have found it.
All goon to go now.

We had work issues and had just got to fix this one Sunday but unfortunately a family was playing with there dog nearby and we were not able to replace the container.
We will return next weekend.
Sorry for the delay
