As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

14-Jul-06
ill go check it out an maybe fix it

13-Jul-06
It appears as though this cache has been vandalised. The contents have been strewn around and the container missing.[:(!]

07-Jul-06
Hi, this was rather frustrating. The GPS gave a reading in the park (not by the roadside). I will try and redo this one

20-Jun-06
Found the cache at 4.30pm. The container was open and full of water, I tried my best to clean up but everything so wet even the log book too. So the owner need check up.
No swap. Thank you for organise the cache and hunt.

17-May-06
nice one to get after work.

07-May-06
Enjoyed the nice walk Co-ords are a bit out. The cord's in a previous log are the best to follow. Went with Bower Bird and my Kids. THanks TNLN SL

07-May-06
Thank fully the grass has been recently mown and was only just above ankle high.
Seems that the co-ords are out approx 10metres using 2xGPSr - found it with Deputy D0g & posse

Thanks Pyro TNLNSL

01-Apr-06
Found it after some nearby wanderings and some romaging around in the grass. Not too difficult but there seemed to be an 11m error today.

12-Mar-06
Wandered around for a good 10-15 minutes in knee high grass whilst Mrs Geodementia and bub waited in the car, and came up very empty handed.
After getting home and reading ALL of the logs it looks like there has been an update to the co-ords mentioned in an old log but these are not reflected in the cache location ??????

MIGHT come back and look again, but I doubt it.

10-Mar-06
found it...

06-Mar-06
Nice easy find

25-Feb-06
#6 for the day with "The Muppet Show"
Was on the look out for snakes after the warning in the previous logs so took a little while to find. It was less than 10m from where the GPSr first took us.
Took: Cable Ties. Left:Pocket Torch. (A handy thing to take on some caches)

25-Feb-06
Took a while compared to the ones we found today. We swapped a keyring for a golf ball and a screw driver for a bike spanner.

16-Feb-06
Well this would have been really easy if we had worn Jeans and runners etc... With thongs and shorts we looked for a path to get us close. After a walk along many windy paths along both sides of the creek bed dodging untold amounts of rubbish we ended up about 20 metres from where we started and took the long grass option. Every step was one of worry waiting for a slippery object to grab one of our feet. Did not happen, we survived to find another cache or ten in thongs. Kept looking for something to do with fire, the burnt out roadside flasher got me excited. It wasnt until I read the log sheet and your username that I realised where the Pyro fits in. Thanks Pyro.

Found this cache without any problems. TNLNSL TFTC. Regards Philma.

Another one of those new Estates that have been built on dry creek beds. One day when the rains truly return, they WIll regret building there. Beware of this cache on a hot day. Snakes just love to sleep on fermenting lawn clippings. Good Cache Thanx

23-Oct-05
we searched for awhile, all we found was a red belly black, most probably the same one as before. We didnt bother riskin goin back, don't think we ever will.

22-Oct-05
Arrived at GZ, not a very interesting location, nothing worth wild at all, but there was a cache here so i had to find it, started looking around until i came accross a Red Belly Black Snake in the grass and decided this cache wasn't worth it.
Thanks anyway but probably wont bother coming back to this one

14-Oct-05
Not sure why I couldn't find it before. I certainly looked around where it is located. What makes it easy now is the superhighway leading right to it.
TNLN.
Thanks pyro.

07-Oct-05
Nice easy find with the correct co-ords. Good size cache container too. Thanks Pyro! T: Football L: party toys & keyring.

19-Sep-05
Our first Sydney cache, was home visiting Parents and new nephew and decided to pick up some caches on the way home.
Blacktown has changed heaps since we left 18 months ago, there will probably be a new house on top of the cache next time we come back.
thanks Pyro for the easy find

Smile
Running hot was my measure,as I found your tresure,
To the bark of the local dogs.

But I took nothing and left nothing,
and wrote it all down in the log.

#Thanks Pyro, an interesting spot.
In good condition and 'nice and dry'.

Our second pyro2355 cache of the day. Parked on the street and walked straight to the cache area. Took two spins around the tree to find the container.

Nice cache, nice location.

T: Fire Engine and Magic Egg
L: Orica Rollerball Fusion Pen

Thanks.

06-Aug-05
Cheers Pyro
Took: Hand Warmers
Left:Red Fire Helicopter
The container is about 10 metres East from the co-ordinates

16-Jul-05
We had quite a bit of fun locating the correct place to park, but the cache was found easily after parking only 110 mtrs away. Several muggles walked by increasing the fun for us, making us hide behind the bush untill they were out of sight. The container was suprisingly large and chock full of goodies. T: lanyard, L: balls (now I don't have any). Thanks Pyro for a great cache and for making caching fun.

17-Jun-05
[This one wasn't much fun. Found a lot of rubbish.] One item that looked like a yellow container perhaps a tool box but it was overgrown and I wasn't going to put my hand in that, even if I'd brought gloves.

[Geocaching is suppose to be fun, not an ordeal. I would definitely suggest you keep this in mind!]

04-Jun-05
Stumbling around in the dark in knee high grass may be someone's idea of fun, (but it ain't mine). Using the co-ords given by sami-search we found this fairly easily. What must the neighbours around here think??

Took: Meat thermometer

Left: Party popper and handwarmer.

Thanks pyro.

29-May-05
Thanks for the cache.
and for the new coords fun find on the way home from the MKTS. sure was a little easier than your Micro cache.

I finaly found this one after searching high and low and almost running for my life due to the lizzard i think i scared....

The co-ords are indeed about 10 meters off, but logic and determination prevailed and i got it.

T: Loch ness Monster toy
L: Crazy 8's cards and bouncy ball.

For those who read the logs, Pyro2355 has given me permission to post the more accurate co-ords.

The co-ords are as follows:

S 33° 43.383 E 150° 53.037

Thanks Pyro, i did enjoy this one.

This was our 3rd and last cache for the night, along with friends of the family, son Daniel and father Dennis and myself we drove up the cache area and immediately let everyone know we were there because the neighbour’s dogs started to bark Red Face

We got out the torches and started searching. The grass was thick and wet but we came to where the GPS said it was. After a bit of scratching around I read the log from Swampgecko via my WAP phone mentioning that it was 10 meters off so we walked a 10 meter radius and found it within 15 minutes.

Again I didn’t have any swag to swap with me but I did take the TB that was inside Wink

Thanks again Pyro for another of your enjoyable caches.

OK, since Swampy supplied new co-ords we went back and had another look. I actually did check around this spot last visit, but missed it somehow.

Left a TB and signed the log.

I am new to geocahing.... and this was not a nice way to start. What an awfull place Sad

Others have said that the coordinates could be out.... maybe the cache owner could double check if they are correct and amend the coordinates accordingly... not all people would read comments for coordinate changes.

Spent 15mins looking and found nothing, and dont think I will return unless coordinates are verified.

Also, dont see what the clue has to do with this cache.

Nice easy find. Got it 1st time. Only took a couple of minute.

28-Mar-05
true to my word I came back after someone else found it.

If you are looking under the small Casurina Tree(She Oak) you are in the wrong spot. I found the co-ords to be 10 mts out.

I am going to be cruel to be kind here, but Pyro, I suggest that you rethink your cache placements. Most caches are placed with the intent of drawing people to the region for a reason.

TNSL Took the TB.

We ended up like most people - empty handed and knee deep in grass. GZ had us in a large grassed area certainly well away from any roadside. We ran out of time but will try again when we return to Sydney. Maybe some fresh coordinates might help us.

Found after a short search, co-ords are out a little, L.N.T.N.

Went back again today. Still no luck. This place would have turned me off geocaching totally if I had done it as my first cache... it is nothing but vermin plants. Had some teenage muggles kicking a football and watching me.. so I packed up and headed down to the creek. Had my cover-story all planned thou,I was checking out all the weeds and plants in preperation for a landcare mob.....

Sorry Pyro but this cache is now off my to do list... until someone else finds it at least.

20-Mar-05
OK, we found the place easy enough, but when we saw what we had to search through, I almost went home for a whipper snipper, or, napalm. We spent 15 minutes or more tramping around long grass and other weeds, rubbish and other stuff to no avail.

Not the greatest of places to put a cache really, we'll give it another go some other time.

13-Mar-05
i saw all the dnf logs and i thought id check the cache and its still there guys.. keep looking..Wink..
happy caching

Found plenty of long grass, rubbish and weeds. Didn't find any snakes, fortunately.

Also, didn't find any cache. We looked all around for about 10 minutes, but after getting stabbed by nasty thorns and tiring of a complaining Mousie (so what if she had to be home to cook dinner???), we gave up. I'm glad I'm not the only failure on this one. Sad

11-Mar-05
Was wanting to offload a TB here but I was unable to find the cache.... I did find however every noxious weed known to geocacherkind. Will now wait for someone else to find this one.

11-Mar-05
I couldn't find it either. Gave up after searching for about 30 minutes. Got tired of playing around in other peoples' garden waste. Maybe another time.

24-Feb-05
droped off tb and had another look around the area and found the old container about 20 meters away so you are now looking for the old container which is a clear container with a screw top lid instead of an icecream container

well a virgin of sorts. the 2nd finder and the first for take 2 of this cache

the well worn track the oompas refer to was probably made by myself. after nabbing berrybush on sat i headed here to make the pyro virgin double. well as luck would have it i came up empth handed. buti did walk around and around and around creating the track Smile

but on the 2nd attempt i was about to call it quits when i nelt down and heard a noise, so i dug around a bit and hey presto the treasure was all mine.

At last my first virgin.
I did a few laps then came up with the goods.

There is a very freshly well worn track around the cache so someone was here before.

I took a pocket knife, left a magic trick, ocy strap and a bag of cable ties.

Good one Pyro,
The Oompas

Well this one is hidden well. After an hour, with 4 of us looking, we just couldn't find it.

Are the co-ordinance correct?

We didn't like the thisles either. Lots of scraps.

Will try again another day.
