The eighth find of the day. Wow, one that had been archived for quite a long time! Having read previous logs and thought there was a good chance that this one would still be in place. As the signs had changed a long time ago, I had to rely on previous photos and logs to determine the possible locations for the container. I narrowed it down to one possible location and was fairly certain that it would be there.
After collecting the previous cache, it was a short jog up to this one next. Once I arrived at the spot, I spotted the tell-tale plastic glint that gave away the cache hide. Wow, it was still here after all these years but it was looking very worse for wear. Took this one with me as I don't know how much longer it would last. It has had a few muggle finds over the years! TFTC ADAcache!

I stumbled across this one by accident after doing Bruce's Climb. The contents were strewn about GZ, but the logbook was dry (despite being in the open). The cache container has two holes. I put it back together and covered it up again...
A bonus find out on a lunchtime stroll around the hills: certainly felt like king of all I could see. Maybe this could be resurrected as a traditional cache, because it's worth the walk up there.

Lucky find of this cache while on another trek. Container has some splitting and evidence of moisture inside (in this drought!?). Goodbeard and I enjoyed our outting.
On our way to another cache in the area and SIL sat down for a break, lo and behold the missing cache of Sir Lancelot, hey we found it, just not in the correct way.
L: Nothing
T: Nothing
Still a nice little cache of goodies in this cache.

As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
I finally got out to check WP1 on this one and yes someone has knocked over the hiding spot of the hidden word. Worse than that they have taken it.
I will get it out as soon as I can and do a check on the final as well before I re-enable this one.

Quasi Geofamily and I went on a walk to refind Abstract Chem 101 and decided to attempt The Tale of Sir Lancelot as well.
Found the second way point no problems,(A certain colour) and then failed!! We searched and searched and searched for a seven letter word. Found a four letter word and a four letter code but no seven letter word.
In the end ran out of time and had to head down the hill again.
I'll repeat it "TAKE WATER"! with our fitness still below average this was a hefty walk up hill.
Hopefully we will find it next time. meanwhile our fitness has started to improve. Go 'fatwalkers'!

What a great cache, quite a trek but well worth it for the views. Back to school for the maths I'm afraid as my in the head calculations added about 30 mins of searching in the wrong spot.

Just when I thought that I was going for a nice afternoon walk.... YEAH Right.
I was driving home an as I lived close by I thought that I would ring us Sacada for a quick afternoon hunt. I went home and changed into walking clothes but Sacada decided to come straight from work. Silly him. He was stilled dressed in his suit tie and all.... and by the time he arrived at WP1 he was already hanging for a drink, so it didn’t make him feel any better when he read the NOTE... After some consoling he was ready!
We found WP2 (or should I say Sacada found it.) and then we decrypted the next WP... To our surprise it was not that far away, however after getting there and walking around of about 1/2 hour we decided that we stuffed it up, and yes on recalculation we were some what off. We did get there after some more walking/resting/walking/resting/walking. I took the croc and put in a Dyna bolt (Thank you geodementia my daughter loved it)
All in all it was a good hunt and good exercise. Thanks

Great cache. Thanks for the experience.
Travelled with Agima (see below). He has twice the experience of me (2 finds). It all started as an impromtu hunt after work on a friday afternoon. I was still in my work suit, already thirsty, failing batteries on GPS . Thought "this shouldn't be so hard".
Sun was setting by the time we got to WP2. Didn't decypher code properly for next spot and was wondering around like lost roos in a nature park. Tried different method (not used to these caches, yet) and made our way there.
Re-read note on taking water for the 100th time and left note for others with my lack of planning "If you didn't bring water you can lick the sweat from the brow of my dead body"... seemed funny at the time .
I picked up the Yankee Bug and left the dead batteries of our GPS.

When I arrived at the start of this multi-cache, I was not looking forward to the four star terrian rating. I reached the second waypoint no problem, but I couldn't find the word - where was it? I had to call the ADAcache help line [B)].
Once found, I carefully did the calculations and headed off to the final waypoint. Followed the 4WD track (yes it's there Thomas (I follow the arrow) S), and found the cache in good time.
Great view from both the second and final waypoints. One of the best caches in Canberra.
My only criticism would be that the terrian rating could easily be a three. I had no problem walking this distance and up the hills even though I was recovering from a cold. [xx(] Dropped off Yankee TB.

GOT IT! Mind you, I was barely alive when we got to GZ.
After a quick hike to WP1, we looked over towards the next "hill" and off we went. Lets just say I'm nowhere near as fit as I thought I was. . . . . .
Thanks ADAcache.
Took Robby Rat TB, left Crocodile

Finally got to have a second go at this one. After an initial wrong start, the kinks in the coordinates were ironed out and we were away with success looking far more likely. Found waypoint 1 and 2 without incident then hiked off to the final location. Found and followed the suggested path which was a nice easy walk. Great views all around and a quick find which is always a bonus. A beautiful day, not too hot and a gentle breeze blowing. Enjoyed by all except grumbly son who would have rather stayed home. I did notice him laughing a fair bit on the way down though. Left 'Robby' the Rat T.Bug, took nil. Thanks for an enjoyable cache.
Concorde, what is that thumping?
Concorde?
CONCORDE!
Oh, yeah, he's back with the steed.
I will stand my ground and face the beast alone. What? It is going away.
Forward, Ho.
There's that beating again. I will sit and wait it's arrival...And it goes again. This nasty father sure has strange beasts.
At last the second point of way...The path looks steep, but any knight worthy of the title shrink not from the direct approach, so forward I go.
I must present a fearful image; the grey minions of the enemy flee on sight. But that beast keeps tracking me and vanishing whenever I stop.
At last, after surmounting several of the defences of the castle I arrive.
Damsel.
Oh, Damsel
DAMSEL!
Bother, the previous knights must have taken her. I will have to settle for nothing but the satisfaction of completing the second quest .g

Certainly Sir Lancelot’s journey was much more difficult than Sir Galahad’s! But a whole lot more exciting also… I waded through water filled canyons, climbed up waterfalls, crossed lakes, climbed mountains (yes plural) fought through impenetrable woods and hiked along riverbeds. Not to mention the holy wires of barbs that blocked the path on numerous occasions! The fact I used the incorrect substitution method on the final leg didn’t help (had me searching in the wrong place altogether for a while!)
Mtbikeroz talked about a track! Well, he must have better eyes than me, as I couldn’t find it – besides, I’m sure the way I went was much more exciting!
Took a whistle left a snake and a tumble.
This was my 3rd ADAcache cache today – thanks ADAcache for increasing my fitness level, and all the excitement (except the holy wires of barbs – they were menacing – I have the scars to prove it!)

Finally!
Rode the trusty MTB most of the way from WP1 to WP2, and then from WP2 to the cache, two short sections just a bit steep on the final leg. (yes there is a formed 4WD trail on the final leg.). WP2 was definitely tricky & unexpected. Thanks for the recent “additionsâ€Â.
I captured the “first finders prize†– I can’t wait to see how this series of the Holy Grail develops – should be interesting.
Collected the Jeep TB (finally), left two balls. Great final location, I just relaxed in the sun.
Then it was indeed a fantastic exhilarating long Cooeeeee down the hill. Nice.
PS – When I get back from holidays interstate, I’ll drop off the Jeep TB here in the ACT somewhere.

I didn't think WP2 would be so hard to find. I have added a bit to the main text and also included a clue, I hope this helps
Still no sense here - What is going on. WP2 takes me to a nice view but not a word to be seen. Can't see WP1 from WP2 or vice versa.
??????????????????????????????????
??????????????????????????????????
Worked out coords for wp2 - absolutely no words or signs at wp2. Nice lookout though.
Can't see wp1 from wp2 either.
Something seriously wrong with either the maths or coords.

Sorry about the confusion, This will be the last time I rush a cache out. The WP shift is now corrected, I forgot to put in to add the numbers to the starting point.

Am I barking up the wrong tree, following the wrong trail, riding the wrong hill or ???
Is it just me, or is there some serious problems here.
1 - WP1 is 20m out from the sign with the 8 digit number on it.
2 - OK, I use the 8 digit number , then I end up looking at a really BIG tree. About 100m south of said BIG tree, there is a sign/info booth with any number of 7 letter words on it, and lots of maps too. I checked & rechecked the formula & my maths, but ??????
Oh well, I then went exploring and ended up having a great time riding around.

I too tried to find this cache today. The first 2 waypoints were not within view of each other. About 45m from WPT2, there were 2 7 letter words which between them contained the necessary letters but they led to a GZ in the middle of nowhere and no steep/challenging terrain. I too will be interested in what a check on them shows up.
