Hi BogesThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no cache maintenance logged. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
Searched around a bit without any luck so adding our names to the list of DNFs.
Looked for ages but STILL couldn't find the geocache Hop we find it next time Be aware that there are lots of rubbish AND lots of cabbage trees
**S 37 57.583 E 175 17.389**#14,964. At the conclusion of the nearby Rattll'n around for 20 years event in Te Awamutu, Waikato, a group of us went rambling around Lake Ngaroto to attempt a number of newly published caches and other ones that had been around for a while. This was one of them. There were quite a few walkers, runners and cyclists on the track, but the GZ itself was fortunately all quiet at the time of our visit. This one was not found on the first lap. Then we noted that the cache has since been replaced, and so returned for another go. Found after a short search this time round, about 7 metres away. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log (as Team 20 or T20 as the group name for the new caches, and with individual names for existing caches).*Thanks for the geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and **.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*
No luck here so got a geocacher that had done it was definitely missing so replaced it. Thank you for putting the cache out
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Found with Fisha1288 Nice and dryCheers, Cympull.
After failing to spot this yesterday, I returned with rattll this morning. She soon pointed me in the right direction, and I found the micro (not regular) cache. All good, tftc!
Found it eventually with gracelesskelly after much rummaging. Thankfully we knew it was a micro and not a regular! TFTC
Our first find on the circuit of the lake. Lots of passers-by so had to exercise a little patience and let them go past. Found fairly quickly then on to the next one.
Found in the first place i looked and came back to as the place that made most sence. WARNING Be wary of holes quite deep holes dug into the ground then covered over by flax. I can see someone ending up with a twisted ankle.
Yay!! Success on this one too. Just one to go around the track now. Gorgeous walk
We did the loop around the lake on 12th March but didn’t try for this one because of the DNF’s. We came back a month or so ago and the weather was just too wet. Because it had been found sort of recently and because it has been dry for about a week we decided to give it a go. We walked to approximately gz and looked around. Went off track to an area where there were 4 or 5 cabbage trees and only one looked like a likely candidate to hold a cache. A bit of a rummage round and voila, cache in hand. Signed and replaced as found. Really pleased to have got this after the DNF’s. All good here. Thanks for the cache.
Little bitch of a hide. Information is incorrect - this one is the definition of micro one unhappy wife who decide to head of the track on final time & we got it
Three pairs of eyes looking. GPS all over the place. Get to within 1m and no sign. Appears to be a lot of damage from recent heavy rains. Will check again when next in the area.
SC Freedom camping here for the weekend so we can walk around the Lake & do all the Caches. Thanks to all the CO's !
We camped the night here last night.
Mrs rattll headed out this morning to do the loop track before it got too hot.
Heading in a clockwise direction, this was the first cache of the day.
No problems finding it, other than having to hide when a muggle went past.
Thanks for putting this here

Lots of rain this morning, but when it got a bit lighter we set out to find our first New Zealand caches! Had lots of fun hiking around the lake and seeing new birds, and finding caches of course. Great place to camp and explore, TFTC!
Should be noted that this one is now more of a micro size than a regular.

4th visit out here. Still can't find. Also looks like area is being cleared out. Could CO please confirm it's still in place? Thanks.
Decided to book the caregiver for Junior cacher.....first time since the Covid-19 lockdown starting August 2021, and headed down here for a cycle and to collect a few caches about......
Had a good look around all the listed locations, but not able to locate this one....will keep an eye on this to see when next found....

Wasn’t in the cabbage tree but a relatively quick find nearby - now off the ground in a cabbage tree
Cool cache… our last of the day. Nice spot! Barely farther from the path than I’d thought but took another person to spot it camo paint flaking off definitely bright red
The rain had set in so I was pleased to find the cache in the first place I checked. A nice bright container so you can't miss it!
I was looking at another cabbage tree when merlot spotted this!
Once seen you can't unsee it...
Very bright.
Wow this cache is an oldie!

After parking up here in the motorhome, I saved this for the morning so I could have an easy find to start the day, TFTC
Have always wanted to do this walk and find the caches along the way. Today was the day!
The last find of a most enjoyable stroll around the lake. It took me a few minutes to track the cache down. There seemed no reason for it; maybe it was just because it was hidden a little differently from the others on the circuit.
Today we visited this lovely lake to enjoy a nice series of caches this was a nice easy find and found in good condition many thanks Boges
Weve had a very enjoyable bike ride around this beautiful track. Lots of wild life and lovely kahikatea trees. There has been an annoying beep and siren going the whole time we've been riding, we assume something to do with the little yachts racing. Thanks for bringing us here boges.
Our last cache of the day before heading north. We were too busy talking and initially overshot gz, but not by much. A quick backtrack and we had this one nabbed. TFTC
Found while on a trip north with tmann421.
Enjoying discovering the areas and finding some caches.
