Visiting the nearby wildlife sanctuary I made this find on our return back to the car. Cant miss this one, quick find with the hint. Thanks for placing this cache Crew 153. #2970
My first cache and brought my dad along with me. Had a lot of fun. Its hard to miss!
Found with goldielover. Nice park here. Pity the dogs are not allowed. All good here with the cache. Tftc
Visiting South East Queensland for a week from Port Macquarie. Our last full day on the Gold Coast, today we tackled caches right down the coastal area, from The Spit in the North down to Coolangatta/Tweed Heads in the South. The weather today was prime for caching, with clear skies and lovely temperatures in the low twenties.Much shorter walk than when the cache was placed as there is now a bridge near the wildlife park carpark. Initially looked too low before locating the hide at a convenient level. Thanks for the cache
One happy 4 year old girl finding some treasure. Great idea for fun, thanks so much!
A short drive in to the geocache gz and a quick sign of log sheet and gathered the clue for the mystery thanks for placing this geocache On a caching holiday from Mackay. In the search of old caches and ones to fill DT grid spaces. Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment with mackay_geocaching. Have mostly had clear sunny days on our trip.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Out on the caching trail again with alphag_25. Going for some caches today to fill a grid and also to pick up some older caches. Decided to try and solve this series while we were at it. TFTC
TFTC. After a few hours at the wildlife park we checked to see if there were any close caches. Log signed and replaced. Left a few bits of swag.
You can park much closer than the parking coords as I think they built a bridge since the cache was originally placed. At gz I didn't spot it right away and I didn't want to dig because who knows what creepy crawlys are hiding in that sawdust. I saw the end of a gigantic centipede sticking out. Then, I caught a glimpse of the container. Nice. Thanks!
Down on the Goldy for a CITO and event this morning. Now I'm off to find a few more while I'm here.Took the opportunity to pop in and do the virtual here and have another look for this one. I'd been here before and hadn't found it after an extensive search but today I was on the phone chatting to a friend and walked straight up to it. All good here. TFTC
Continuing this series made a bit easier now we had picked up the hire car! Nice location and a cool hiding spot. TFTC!
Unsure of where to go, searched on tchoobey reserve side of river, perhaps it was on the other
Nice easy find after a good couple of hours spent within Fleay's and enjoying a bird show amongst other things. Tftc!
When we pulled up the first thing that caught my eye was the David Fleay Wildlife Park. I’ve never heard of this tourist gem and judging by the 10-12 cars in the car park neither have any tourists.
I wondered if it was one of those Joe Exotic rip-offs where you can either pat and cuddle tigers, or shoot them.
I really didn’t want to find out because I think we’ve all been to a smaller animal conservation park or wildlife reserve that has fallen on hard times and is no longer in its hey-day. When the animals know they aren’t getting paid they couldn’t be bothered putting on a show, but are also so lame they couldn’t be bothered escaping either.
In cases like this the only animals keen enough to show up are the snakes; around the guinea pig hutches and chicken coops. Any zoo or animal show that has chickens and guinea pigs needs to be out of business anyway. tftc

Decided a small detour from the traffic jam was in order to capture this oldie. I’m sure I re-entered the same spot in the car line up as when I left. Gotta love all these road works.
Found the cache quickly in a logical spot. Thanks Crew 153 for keeping this oldie active

Not entirely sure, but I’ve been looking for almost 10 minutes around what is supposedly an easy level cache and I can’t seem to find it. There’s been a lot of little areas where it looks like a cache has been and I think it’s possibly been taken home by somebody
Nice straightforward one to start the day. Ignore the navigation and instead follow your common sense to the spot that it looks like any reasonable person would put a geocache.
This weekend, jesswrigley and I had a trip down the Gold Coast, comprised of geocaching Events, a family catchup, a Wave Break Island kayak paddle, and a Nerang mountain bike session ride.
Today, the morning plan was the [Summer Wave (Break) and Paddle Celebration](https://coord.info/GC8ZDPM) Community Celebration Event. A windy and rough paddle, but otherwise an enjoyable island adventure. We took a couple of stops in Labrador and Southport, before catching up with family in Robina. I then managed to duck out for a few hours to Reedy Creek, Burleigh Waters, and Burleigh Heads, attempting to target oldies such as the *Paradise Series*.
After unsuccessfully attempting to find a zombie geocache nearby but being foiled due to (high?) tide, this geocache proved to be much easier terrain access. After following the nearby path, it was a short walk to GZ, the cache was found reasonably quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and the series clue was noted accordingly. Thanks Crew 153 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 03/2005 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 500 oldest yet active geocaches.

Trying to complete some Challenges and I needed this one so headed down south to find it.
Parked close by and a short walk before I headed off the track, I made a quick find in a logical spot. Clue was noted. Log was signed and replaced where found and headed off. TFTC

Nicely cut grass and plenty of toads exploring. Scary at night but all good.
Thanks to Crew 153 for the fun and the adventure.

What a lovely location to stop and take a walk. As soon as I saw the hide, I knew the cache would be there somewhere - IzzyAussie was first to spot it. Thanks for showing me this location and TFTC.
After much wandering around wondering if we were any where near we came back to our first instinct and he found it tucked away in the dark
Me,My grandad and my cousin found it one morning while the family was out and we took a shell and replaced it with a toy hope the next person who finds it has fun
New cache in place.
Looks like the local council had provided a new bridge to make access to the cache a lot shorter than it was originally. Also a nice smooth path for cachers to enjoy.

Hi Crew 153,
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
If you require more time please be sure to **post a note** (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date, if you do not then you cache may be archived without further note from a reviewer. Caches archived due to lack of maintenance are no longer unarchived and you will need to submit a replacement as a new cache.

It is on my to do list for a trip to the Coast. Now waiting for rain and floods to subside.
Hobson's Livery Stable
A used-horse exchange. Willie Hobson is a used-horse dealer, with all the connotations of trust and honesty similar occupations draw in across the Multiverse, be it a used-car dealer or an ex-American president on Roundworld, or a used-flying saucer dealer on Proxima Centauri ("Lovely little runner, squire, only fifteen thousand parsecs on the odometer, it'll get you to Earth and back no bother, anal-probing devices don't come as standard but I tell you what I'll do, seeing as it's that Whitley Streiber you're going to probe, I'll throw the full "making Earthlings feel very ill at ease" kit in for another twenty squirdles, can't say fairer than that, this is lasering me own crucial pseudopod off...").

I’m down the coast today caching with CaptainVimes. She wasn’t very happy with me when I took her through the mangroves. Even less so when it turned out that we could’ve walked around. Thanks for the cache
After a walk around Burleigh Heads I asked hubby if we could head past here to grab this oldie.
Parked at the suggested coords and started following the compass. That didn’t feel right so we went along the grass. That’s better.
Yes peeps follow the grass for a nice easy walk to GZ. At GZ it was a quick find. Thank for filling another of my Jasmar grid.

Nice easy one. Defiently no need to stray too far from the path.
Lovely spot too. TFTC.

Well I realised the boated do
Not follow your GPS so wandered down and around. Stupidly walking in via muddy mangroves in thongs! But caching is meant to be an adventure. GZ located based in the hint. I could almost fit in there! Tftc

Last cache of the day! This one was one my list because of its vintage, and because it helped me with the Jasmer challenge. I wasn't disappointed.
After failing to read the cache description, we got within 35m of the cache but... oh no... I will do anything for love, but I won't do THAT! Time to read, oh yes... and follow instructions.... and OK we are further away, but on the right side of the Pacific Ocean this time.
Heading off towards GZ, we encountered a bit of a sticky obstacle. Reorientating, moving around, we managed to weave our way across the swamp, and I only ate one spider on the way. Winning!
Now at GZ, we checked the right spot and moved on, thinking it was empty. But it wasn't, it just needed a grown up to look. Which wasn't Prime, but he managed to find it anyway. How on earth are three grown up kids going to work out this complex caching thingymabobby? 1MM and I signed the log, and we were back over the swamp, narrowly avoiding Shrek and Donkey, and back to the geomobile and awaiting geokid.
Thanks for this golden oldie, Crew153!

A two day visit to the Gold Coast and with such a variety of caching available, we decided to hunt for a few old ones in the mix as well. This is a great hide that took us for a short walk through a beautiful park area with the nearby creek flowing quite fast. We collected the information that we will need in order for us to complete the series. We have been finding this series for over two years now and have enjoyed each of them.
